Kyle watched Ella without saying a word. He noticed how her facial and body ex
pression went from frustrated, exhausted, happy, then sad. He padded the side of the couch and bit his lip, not knowing what to say. It seemed the girl wanted to be left alone, and he could do that. "I don't know what to say or do right now.... But Goodnight..." He said this and turned to the staircase. When he reached the bottom, he paused and said, "I'm Kyle by the way..." And left.

((Sorry for the fail, I don't know what to say. xC)) 

Ella took note of his name, and stared at the ceiling. She picked out patterns in the walls and did everything she could while lying on the couch. Then she slowly, but surely, fell asleep. She was dreaming about how she escaped.

Ella was in the backyard, hanging up clothes to dry when she heard her father's angry shouts. She dropped the clothes and ran inside, knowing that her father didn't shout over minor things. When she entered, she was greeted by two men in suits. They were tall and had sungla.sses on. One pulled off his sungla.sses and said, "Why Miss Ella, it's nice to finally meet you face to face," with a southern accent.

Ella backed out of the room and ran, terrified of the two men. They were there to kill her. She knew it. Soon, her father was beside her in the form of a horse. He nudged her onto his back and said, "You must live on. You are the world's only hope. When you run, run with all you've got, and don't be scared of what lies ahead. Fear is the only weakness you have, Ella." And at that, he was shot in his chest. He fell to the ground, throwing Ella off so that he wouldn't squish her. Ella ran to her dad, her eyes full of fear.

"Dad, what if-" Ella was cut off by her dying father.

"Ella, you must live. Go," He said, and he snorted. Ella turned back to her house that was now engulfed in flames. It was a sad sight, really.

Ella's limbs elongated and her bone structure changed to form that of a horse. Soon, she was nothing but a pure black blur running through the forest. She approached a cliff and had no time to turn into a bird before she was shot in her leg and stomach. The impact of the bullets sent her rocketing forward, falling off of the cliff into the river below. Right as Ella hit the water, she woke up.

Ella shot up like a rocket, holding her chest and breathing heavily. It was already light outside, but it wasn't too early. About seven in the morning, she guessed. She sighed and said, "Gosh," to herself.

Kyle rushed to his room and lept onto his bed as he always did. He clambered into bed, not even bothering to change out of his shorts and T-shirt. He was too confused about what happened tonight. Every aspect about it seemed to confuse him just as the last. His mind was reeling with unanswered questions. Who was she? Why was she washed onto the shoreline? Where was she from? What happened to her? What was going to happen tomorrow? Was she ever going to answer any of these questions he had for her? The list went on and on, until he finally drifted off. 

Before Kyle knew it, the sun rushed through his window onto his face. It was barely even 5 when this happened, but Kyle had the tendancy to wake with the sun. He sighed and sat up in his bed, rubbing his eyes. From the silence in the house, he could tell no one was awake yet. He decided to hop into the shower real quick, then change. By the time he was done, it was only 5:45. He then sat back in his bed, pulled out his laptop, then looked at the news. Eventually, around 7:30, his alarm went off. Kyle jumped from the noise and jumped out of bed to turn it off. 

A loud beeping noise caused Ella to wince. It sounded like an alarm clock. What day was today? She wasn't sure. In all of the chaos that happened, she forgot what day it was. All she knew is that it was some time during the late summer. She yawned and got off of the couch, suddenly remembering what happened last night. She just now realized how rude she was. She didn't even tell them her name. Note to self: Apologize to them later. Maybe.

Ella stretched and looked down at her leg. Sure enough, it was already healed over. So was her stomach wound. She smiled and already began to feel better. Sleep always seemed to heal up the healing process, and Ella had slept like a log on Kyle's comfy couch.

Kyle paused and looked into his parent's bedroom, noticing they weren't there. Suddenly, he remember that they had to work today. He spaced it that night, but remembered it today. He walked down the stairs quietly, just incase that the girl was still asleep. He didn't see her over the couch so he continued to creep towards the kitchen. He decided to make breakfast for him and the girl, if she ate.

Kyle winced as he accidentally dropped a pan on the hard wood floor. He hoped he didn't wake her up, though he didn't know she was already awake. Instead, he just picked up the pan and put it on the stove where he put in some eggs and in another pan he started up some bacon. 

"I'm fine." Ella sat down on the stool, then said, "I'm not diseased. You can sit closer to me. You make me feel... I dunno... infected." There she went, speaking what she was thinking. She basically inhaled the food and said, "Thankyou for taking me in. Most people would be a lot less hospitable with a girl like me." Ella thought back to all of the horrible things that could have happened if she was picked up by the wrong person. She shuddered at one thought.

((Good night.))

"I know you're not infected," Kyle said with a small 'hah'. He rubbed the back of his head then added, "I just didn't want to make you feel uncomfortable with me sitting so close..." His face flushed a red again because he felt stupid. He cleared his throat and said, "It wasn't any issue... We would have done it for anyone!" Kyle decided not to ask what she meant by 'girl like me', but he would add it to his list of 'to ask' questions. 

((Nighty night)) 

((I'm Back~))

"I'm not as anti-social as I may seem," Ella said, placing her fork on her plate. She yawned and said, "Do you mind if I go outside? I need to get some fresh air." She pushed her plate aside and propped her head up on one arm, looking at Kyle with her deep brown eyes.

((Fail.))

"Erm," Kyle said, looking at the girl's beautiful brown eyes. "Uh, yeah... I mean, you aren't our prisoner or anything..." He laughed lightly and nodded towards the kitchen's back door. "I hope you aren't afraid of dogs, we have one.... His name is Charlie, he's a big sweetheart so I wouldn't be scared of him or anything." Kyle paused and thought for a moment. Then he added, "He may jump though. But it's just to lick you, hah."

((Oh Herro. :3 heh)) 

Kyle watched as the girl went outside, but there was no sign of Charlie. So, he just kept watching her from the kitchen window, while doing dishes. In a few minutes, Kyle looked back up and noticed Ella wasn't anywhere on the ground. "Where in the heck did she go...?" He said to himself, not even noticing she was in a very tall tree. "Hmm.." He sighed and wiped his hands on a towl. He paused walked out the back door, squinting in the sun. "Charlie!" He called out, wondering where the mutt was. Suddenly, a flying ob
ject came from under the deck and tackled Kyle to the ground. Kyle squealed loudly as Charlie licked his face all over. "Charlie!" He said in a high pitched voice, laughing extremely hard. 

((Fail. xD I didn't know what to write. o-o)) 

"Oh..." Kyle said, feeling like he was stupid, once again. He gave a slight laugh at Ella's joke; well, he thought it was a joke anyways. "No, Charlie's our only pet. I'm allergic to cats, so we never got one of those..." He paused then added quickly, "We do have a Beta Fish. Her name's Claire... She stays in my room usually though. Oh, and thanks. I've always like a big yard, easier to play around with Charlie in."

((Kyle is a fan of names starting with 'C' and 'K'. x3)) 

"Okay. Well, I'm gonna go explore some more." Ella turned around and walked off, going into the forest that lined the yard. She found an even taller tree and climbed it. She got as high as she could go, which was about a hundred feet in the air. She looked around, trying to find the cliff that she jumped off of. The cliff was nowhere to be found. She sighed and climbed back down, disappointment on her face. If she could find the cliff, she could find her way back home. If there was anything left of her home.
