[[Uhm, I'll start with Hikari bringing in a bewildered Akira, orrite? And it's 11 AM in the morning... PERSON WHO STARTS GETS TO CHOOSE D:<]]

Hikari kicked the door, making it swing open violently. "Hello, everyone!" She shouted loudly and cheerfully, dragging a limpish behind her. "Look at what I found!" She picked up the humanoid ob
ject and propped it up. A startled boy lifted up his head. "Ugh... where am I? I thought you promised me lots of food." As if on cue, his stomach rumbled. Hikari let out a laugh. "You're safe now with us, Akira!" She stated, patting him on the back, perhaps a little too hard.

Akira looked at the girl in polite puzzlement. "Excuse me? There are vampires everywhere. My family, thank goodness, is gone, but I'm lost! How am I safe?" The blonde girl rolled her eyes and crossed her arms. "Wake up, all of you!" She shouted, making Akira jump a little.

Arana rose from her bed when she heard a familiar voice call out. "Morning already?" She groaned. She hadn't bothered to change into sleeping clothes. Arana simply picked up her hoodie from a nearby chair and put it on, afraid that the sunlight would touch her skin. "Hikari, what have you brought us now?" She asked dryly. "A dog, perhaps?" Arana paused when she saw the black-haired boy. "Oooh, a human, then?" Arana caught no pungent smell of werewolf coming from him.

Jer emerged from the kitchen, his German Shepard trailing behind him. "Good morning, you two." He said, while Gaston panted happily and gave a bark when he saw the new human. "Another human?" Jer asked, examining the boy like a lab animal. The boy gave a little indignant 'hmph'. Hikari looked like had just won a medal. "Yeah! Found him wandering around. His name's Akira." Hikari patted Akira like she owned him.

[[Eugh. Jer's gonna be a bad cook, so bleh. ]] 

Zane woke from her slumber, still being held like a little kid in Lend's arms. Zane shook Lend a bit, waking him too. She and Lend looked at Akira and offered him a welcoming smile.

((I'm braindead.))

Marrek's angular face peeked from the kitchen doorway that Jeraud had sauntered through, frowning after him. As usual, the pup had begun to leave a mess in the kitchen, and a questionable smell in the air that was probably food baking onto the burners.
Inwardly, Marrek groaned every time Jeraud got it in his head that he wanted to cook, and was grateful for Hikari's bellowing distraction.

"Don't mind the smell - it's safe to breathe, really! Just Jer's attempt at cooking," He remarked with a grin, his low rumble tinged with a hint of teasing. Unlike the vampires in the room, Marrek's bared teeth were even and normal, and aside from the musky, earthy smell of his kind, he seemed fairly human. Leaning casually into the doorway the muscular male scratched idly at the stubble on his chin with one hand, the other holding a plate of pancakes topped with fruit. His sharp amber eyes took in the two newcomers and something sharp and measuring flickered across his usually warm gaze, gone in a moment to be replaced with another grin, the warmth quickly returning.

"I made this batch. One hundred percent safe, and you're welcome to them if you like."

Jer scowled at Marrek. "Not my fault." He muttered, while Gaston gazed longingly at Marrek's pile of pancakes. Akira seemed to have the same mutt-like look on his face, staring at the pancakes with equal longing. Jer took one look at their similarities and smiled faintly. Perhaps the boy would fit in nicely.

Hikari gave Akira an encouraging smile. "Go on! Marrek is pretty good at cooking. Not the best," She grinned at Marrek, "But good enough. I promise." Hikari chirped a greeting at Zane and Lend, who had entered the room. "Good morning, you two! Still looking sleepy." She observed bluntly.

Arana nodded a greeting to Zane and Lend. "He's awfully close to the human, Hikari." She mumbled to Hikari, who gave no notice. Arana rolled her eyes and pulled her hood over her head, half-covering her eyes.

Akira gave Hikari a questioning look. "So your name really is Hikari?" He asked. She nodded. "That's Jeraud, with his big Shepard named Gaston." Gaston gave a joyful bark in response. "And there's Marrek with the food. And Zane and Lend just came in. Oh, and Arana's the one in the hoodie." Arana gave them a faint smile. "Don't make her mad." Hikari whispered, then grinned. "There's also Elle and Roku, but I don't think they're up yet. I'll go get them!" Without waiting for Akira's response, Hikari whisked through another doorway and made her way to a corridor of rooms. She knocked on two separate doors. "Elle! Roku!" Hikari called. "Marrek made breakfast already! And I think Jer did too..."

Akira gave them all another bewildered look. "Is she always like that?" He asked none of them in particular. Arana rolled her eyes and Jer chuckled slightly. Akira made his way to the pancakes, picking out the one with the color closest to golden. 

 ~~Elle~~

Elle Huddled in the corner of a small cottage, close to the Hideout of the rescuers. Her grandmother way tattered, mangled on the floor in a dead, bloody heap. Tears streamed down Elle's cheeks, but she made no sound. She slid to the floor quietly and wept. A big, Brawny black cat stepped from the shadows and gave her a questioning look. Her then crawled onto her lap and she hugged him, the two secluded in the darkness.

Of course, that was about 2 months ago. The girl had released the cat, for she knew he wished a wild life. He still came to visit once in awhile, but not often. Instead, she had found a big Black great dane out on the streets. Naming her appropraitly Nightsong, Or Mist, She sat on a stiff bed, petting the dog who rested on the floor. Hearing Hikari, she groaned. Her voice was louder then am alarm. Groggily she got up, changed, and stepped out of the door quietly. She had become more for secluded lately after her Grandmother.She walked down the stairs and gave a light smile at the newcomer.

~~Roku~~

Roku had simply been sleeping when Hikari's Ear-shattering voice screamed for breakfast. Roku held his wolf ears that sat atop his head. "We Don't all have human ears you know!" His dog ears magnified Hikari's Loud voice, but inside he didn't really mean what he said. He kind of liked Hikari, although the girl was quite annoying at times. He got up, dressed himself, and came out. Fangs poked a tiny bit from under his lip as he sat on a couch and looked at the newcomer. He looked away, grumbling a 'Hello'.

Terra was up in her room. With Abbadon. He was sitting on her bead staring at her. Terra's stomach growled but she defiantly ignored it. The raven cocked its head puzzled. He looked at the door and took flight. He circled close to the door cawing at Terra to get up. Terra didn't budge. She knew Abbadon wanted her to go downstairs to eat but she can't stand being near the others without Jinta beside her. So she would not leave until Jinta returned later that night. Terra's stomach growled once again but Terra contiued to sit where she was. Abbadon flew over to his perch and landed. He cocked his head and blinked.

Jinta was inside a house on the otherside of town from the Rescuers hideout. Jinta impatiently walked up and down the hall. "Terra is going to starve again." Jinta said stopping. She slammed her fist into the wall leaving a large dent. "Abbadon plaese try to convince that stuborn child to go downstairs," Jinta said to herself. She contiued to walk up and down the hall waiting for the sun to set.

Kohaku let out a hiss of annoyance. Calyx had run off. Again. "Calyx!" He called, always hearing the same thing. Nothingness. She never gotten into trouble, except for the time she ran into an old, cranky werewolf. He shivered at the thought of him yelling curses at them, smiling slightly. He hoped she was alright, layign down in an empty alleyway, whimpering for him. Idiot. "Calyx!" He howled again, starting to feel slightly angry. Why was she always running oiff like this? She was bound to discover Vampires. Kohaku poked his head in an abandoned house,the sight humm of a T.Vset still on, the people must have exacuated. He shrugged and carred on looking for his adopted sister.

Calyx hugged her knees and whimpered softly. "Kohaku," Her voice a mere whisper. She was having second thoughts of runnign away from him 'for fun'. This wasn't fun anymore. It was scary. "Kohaku," She said a little louder, but it didnt matter. Someone was bound to find her. She longed for Kohaku to peer out into the alleyway, which shde eas hiding, and scold her. She waited. Still no Kohaku. She pulled her coat hood over her head and got up woth a groan. She tripped over a pipe and sliced her arm wide over in a sharp metal thing of somesort. Blood trickled down her arm, tears rolling down her face. She plumped roght down and gripped her arm, crying. She didn't care if anyone heard her. It hurt. Her injury and being alone.

Hikari grinned at both Elle and Roku. "Good morning, you two." She said in a more pleasant voice, and walked back to the main room where everyone else was. She sat down next to her catch, Akira. He looked up from his half-eaten pancake, from her to Roku. "What's up with him?" He asked Hikari. She shrugged. "He's like that in the mornings." She replied.

[[Bleh. What should I do with Arana and Jer...]] 

Lend looked at Zane, then sniffed the air. "I'll be right back." Zane hadn't spoken ever since they found her, she seemed to be the closest to Lend, but was still a bit scared of all the others. Lend stood up, and began to leave. Zane reached for his leg, begging him not to go. "It's okay, I'll be right back." He gave her one last glance before walking out of their hideout.

He walked into the snowy world outside, smelling human blood. It smelled fresh. "Hello, I know you're out here, so you might as well give it up." He shouted that phrase into the air, not being able to pinpoint exactly where the smell was coming from.

Zane sat against the wall, her legs tucked in close to her. She shot everyone in the room a scared, worried glance.

Calyx whiped away any left-over tears. "Hello, I know you're out there,so you might as well give it up," An unknown voice called. Male by the sound of it, but not Kohaku. She slunk behind a few pipes and clenched her bleeding arm. Hopefully he would ignore her, and go. But she knew that wasn't going to happen. How did he find her? It must of been because of her crying. Sshe decided to find out who was out there. "H-hello," She tryed not to sound scared, but her voice cracked. "W-whos there?" Calyx stuttered.

Kohaku contined to look. "Calyx!" He called for the last time. No result. He huffed and went onto the next block when the scent of blood hit his nose. Human blood. Fresh. Lots. Calyx's face immedietly registeredd in his mind. No, its probrably some other human, he told himself. But the thought of her lyeing on the ground, unconcious made him run toward it.

Lend walked towards the smell, calmly, yet firmly. He approached a girl behind some pipes. He didn't remember her if he had met her. "Hey," his eyes dilated, fighting back thirst. He hadn't fed in a few days, and the thirst for blood panged in his stomach. His eyes returned to normal as he shook his head. He rubbed his temples then looked at Calyx. "Are you okay?" He was still fighting against the thirst deep within him.
