Marrek's amber eyes dilated for a moment as he lifted his head, sniffing the air. Blood, he smelled it too. Human, without the stinging concotion of seperate blood-types that vampire blood had. His eyes dropped to the nervous Zane, and he gave her a reas.suring smile before he was on the move, gliding with wolf-like grace out the door behind Lend.

His nose was keener than the vampires', so it wasn't long before he found her, huddled and clutching at her arm. So much blood--! Although he hadn't said it, it madehim uncomfortable to have the vampire so close when the poor girl was bleeding, so Marrek lifted his hand to stop Lend from getting any closer. He'd seen a vampire frenzy over the scent of blood, and shuddered at how shark-like their eyes had been...

His other hand, strangely broad compared to the crouching girls' hand, made a calming gesture, and he inched forward slowly, hoping to keep her alarm levels low. His amber eyes were on her, ears almost pricking as he strained to hear if anyone else had caught wind of her wounds. Being cut out here was dangerous as hell, and his low voice reflected that worry.

"Shh.. We need to get you out of here, and fast. My name's Marrek, and we're here to help you. Are you hurt anywhere else?"

Oh, crap. He heard footsteps that weren't Lend's, moving closer. He had to move fast. He stepped closer, his arms reaching out to lift her, if she would allow it.

Calyx's eyes were wide with fear. What was happening? She wondered, edging closer to the wall. "I-I'm Calyx," She said nervously, her eyes searching the two males of any signs of hostility. "No, just my arm.." Her voice cracked. Help me? it didn't seem like it. What was going on? She had no clue.

She could hear footsteps. Another male? She had no idea. Was she in trouble? She flinched as Marrek moved closer.

Marrek winced a bit as Calyx flinched away, but pushed forward, making slow business of trying to slide his arms under her legs and back to lift her. At this point, if she tried to fight him, he'd probably just take it until they were back at the Rescuer's base. Better him to have a few bruises than for her to be attacked by less friendly company.

Roku grumbled. "I'm like that because Hikari over here screams like a Banshee in the morning if I'm not awake before everynoe else like her." Her looked grumpy, as usual. Although, he kind of liked it. At least it woke him up.

Elle spoke up. "That;s Roku. He's just a grouch. He doesn't liek the whole /you'll be ok blah blah blah' Routine every time we find one of you. He didn't even bother when they found me." She shrugged. "He'll get used to you."

Roku snarled. "I'm a Werewolf, not some dumb dog!" He growled at Elle, His Gray and blue ears pinned to his head. His fingernails were permanently Black claws, he flexed them. Then he closed his eyes and breathed out in a deep sigh. Steady Roku. Don't lose control over this. As he comforted himself in his mind, his momentarily black eyes are returned to their silver. He adjusted his jacket and looked away.

Elle looked over at Jer. Her blank pale face looked a little surprised, Then a slight pink glow radiated at her cheeks, she gave a nervous smi;le, and looked away. Biting her cheek, she tried to not think about it. Mist had started sniffing at Akjira suspiciously, Then woofed and began lciking his face with her huge tongue.

Akira noticed Elle blush at the scary-looking redhead. 'Well, if jerks are her thing...' He thought, with a shrug. "Well, it's nice to meet you all. You aren't going to eat me at night, right?" Akira added nervously, just to make sure. He heard about werewolf or vampire gangs luring humans in with promise of safety, then devouring them as soon as possible.

Hikari laughed at Akira's suggestion. "Do we look scary?" She asked honestly. The boy flicked his eyes from Roku to Jer, then shrugged again. "I guess not." He mumbled defeatedly. "It's breakfast time, everyone." She said cheerfully, grabbing a few plates of pancakes. "Marrek made them, but he's gone now." Hikari shrugged. "And they look pretty tasty."

Kohaku hissed, Clayx was near. Two scents of blood hit his nose, one was Calyx. He took a sharp turn right andfound himself being snarled at by a stray dog, chewing down on something he couldn't figure out. He quickly snapped its neck and sat down, licking the left over blood from his finger. He didn't want to hurt any humans, if his thirst got out of control.

Company? What kind of company? Before she could access the situation, she was being lifted up. She squirmed feebily. "Let me go!" She wailed, kicking, scratching, and biting Marrek.

"Ooh!" Elle said, savouring the smell. She took one with butter and poured syrup all over it. "Go ahead, Akira." She said softly, trying to contain herself from picking it out with her bare hands and eating them. She waited impatiently for utensils.

Roku groaned. "You go ahead." He stood up and walked toward the door, before Elle called him back. "It was only yesterday you went and ate! Try to enjoy some human food for once." Roku snarled and snapped at her from the door, eyes narrowing. Everyone was getting on his nerves at the moment. He walked out the door and slammed it shut, rattling the hinges. He then climbed up on the the roof and sat there, sighing. Her hugged his knees to his chest. He wasn't like this. He didn't like it. He used to be happy, and funny.... He closed his eyes and looked away.

Lend moved forward, trying to calm Calyx down. "Shh! We're on your side. You know there are others that would gladly eat you, we're not them." He put a hand on the back of her head in an attempt to comfort her.

Zane snuck out the door, wanting to get away from all of the vampires and werewolves. She looked at a stack of boxes that were pretty high. She nimbly climbed them and got onto the roof, thinking it would be a good place to inspect the city. She was surprised to find Roku there. She jumped, falling on her butt and almost falling off of the roof. She still didn't want to talk, afraid that all of the words that came out would either be nonsense or be about the murder of her family.

Marrek bared his teeth unconciously as Calyx fought him, hackles instinctively raising on the back of his neck. Part of him wanted to shake her - he didn't have time for this! - but a bigger part of him understood the reasons behind her fear, so he merely tightened his grip, pressing her into his broad chest. He looked at Lend with a sort of sardonic exasperation, resisting the urge to clap his hand over her mouth to shush her. The silly human could hit a pitch that hurt his ears, and no doubt Lend's, most likely.

Closer than he'd realised, he heard a dog's snarl, then a snap that sounded suspiciously like bone. Their pursuer was close! His eyes flashed alarm at Lend and he took off in the direction of their hideout, knowing that the lithe vampire would be close behind. There was a hint of a growl in his hushed voice as he spoke to Calyx.

"Like it or not, you're getting our help," he grumbled, feeling a spatter of wet on his chest as her wound bled on him, "now shut up or you'll get us all killed!"

Roku's Ears flateend. It was easy to tell the human was coming up too. He sat at the top peak of the house, staring out at the sun. He looked down. He was sitting with his legs folded over eahcother. He sighed. "If your trying to get me to go back inside, I won't." his vocie was soft, but firm in a way that seemed odd. It seemed to have a hint of a growl to it, but Being a werewolf that was mostly how he sounded, even when happy. When she tumbled, he turned his head and sighed. He got up, walked over, and held out his arm to help her up.

'Shut upThe pain in Calyx's arm worsened, making her whimper softly. "What the hell are you talking about?" She tried to snap, but her voice cracked. "Eat me?" Her eyes widened in fear. She flinched at Lend's touch and squirmed unconfortably. 'Shut up or you'll get us all killed!" she made a frightened yip and stared up at Marrek with round eyes.

Once Kohaku was done with his meal, he threw the carcas.s into a nearby dumpster. Now, back o the task at hand, he thought.

Terra heard someone walking around on the roof and looked up. Abbadon had gotten off his perch and was now flying to the window. He flew out the window and perched on top of a house a block or two away. Terra saw him watching something. Abbadon took off again and started to fly over something moving. He cawed loudly.

Jinta wanted to return to Terra but she couldn't till she fed. If she didn't she would most likely feed on Terra or one of the other humans. So she stayed put till she found something to eat.
