Calyx stared at Lend. "Your crazy," she said finally. "Vampires and Werewolves don't exist. I suppose you will tell me that dragons and fairies still roam the earth, aswell?" She rolled her eyes. "I'm not that stupid." (( Calyx fails. xD))

He opened his mouth and pointed at his fangs. His eyes were a bit red from anger and thirst. "Do you want me to prove it?" He looked at Zane who backed away at the sight of his red eyes. She was scared, and Calyx should be too. A wicked smile played across his face, his fangs gleaming in the light. "We don't burn in the sun, we're just weaker."

Calyx hissed. "You could easily of bought those from a Costumes Store," She said. "Kohaku told me that most of the people here had moved to warmed weather, not because of fantasy creatures killing everyone."

"Zane, come here." Lend called across the room to Zane. Zane's eyes dilated and so did Lend's. Zane's face went blank and she walked towards Lend. She wasn't in control anymore, Lend was. Lend's eyes had a manic glaze to them. Zane stopped about a foot before Lend and Lend took her hand. He pulled her down beside him and smiled. "And where have you seen a costume store open recently? Kohaku's full of *censored*!" He laughed manically before letting his face go straight again.

Calyx rolled her eyes. "Hypnotism. I've seen my friend's dad do that before. And there's a Party Shop just a few blocks away," she didn't add the part about it;s owner nto there. "And language!" She snapped.

"Yes, language." He looked at Calyx and smiled. "Try to pull them out." He pointed to his teeth and smiled. "If you can't pull them out, will you believe me?" Zane snapped out of it. She looked at Lend madly. She knew he had used compulsion on her. She raised her hand and slapped him across the face. Lend snapped out of his thirst and looked at Zane. "What's going on? What was that for?"

"He's a vampire, trust me." She shook her hand out, trying to get the stinging to go away, and frowned. Zane looked at Calyx and looked back at Lend. "Open wide," she said to Lend. Lend opened his mouth, revealing his fangs again. He had one hand on his cheek, a red mark lingering there. Zane put her hand on his teeth and yanked, hard. Lend didn't flinch. His teeth stayed glued perfectly in his head. "There."

"Some kind of glue," Calyx said quickly. "If Vampires are real, Kohaku would tell me," She added, fiddling with her fingers, avoiding the twi's eyes. Its okay, Calyx. There's no such thing as vampires...No. Such. Thing. These people are loons. She tld herself, but inside, she knew the two were telling the truth.

Lend slammed his hand against his head. "You are too hardheaded. Where's your mom, dad? Oh, and why is your brother always running off? Explain that." He put his wrist to his mouth. He had a last resort to make her believe it. He couldn't bite Zane, because that would turn her. So he would bite himself instead.

Calyx flinched. "I don't know!" She cried. "I don't know, I don't know, I don't know!" She whimpered. "I don't even think they're alive, of f Kohaku is even my brother." She whispered, tear rolling down her cheek. "I just don't want to believe there are vampires and werewolves, because there one more reason explaining that my parents are dead," She peeked open an eye and stared at Lend. It was true. He was a Vampire.

"You took it alot easier than Zane did." Lend chuckled. He put his arms around Calyx. He did this because it usually calmed Zane down, so he thought it would work on Calyx too. "It'll be okay. It's better to know something than to walk around blind." Zane moved towards Calyx and put a hand on her shoulder.

Calyx sniffled. She didn't flinch when Lend touched her, she had grown used to it. The tears still flowed, but she didn't care. Kohaku peeked his head throught the door. "How's it goin'?" He asked. Calyx lifted her head and stared at him. But this time, she didn't see her brother, she just saw a vampire. Her eyes grew round with fear as she snuck behind Lend.

"Oh, everything's going just fine. I filled her in on all of the stuff she didn't know," Lend said staring at Kohaku with one raised eyebrow. He was mad, but didn't care. Zane stepped in front of Lend and looked at Kohaku madly. "You are the biggest liar I have ever seen in my life," she snapped. "Unless you want to become a Rescuer, you need to leave. The werewolves have their scent all over this place." She was being unusually fiesty.

Kohaku hissed. "She didn't need to know," He snarled. "We were doing just fine. Calyx, come on, we need to go. I don't trust you with these people," He said gently. He shot an angry glance at Zane and Lend. Calyx shook her head. "You lied to me," she whimpered. "I thought you r=trustred me," She said "You didn't need to know. " Kohaku repeated softly. "What would of happened if I stil didn't know? I could of died," She hissed. "How?" Kohaku said, getting irritated. "I was bleeding up a flood. for all I know, Vampire and who knows what could be hunting me down," Hissed Calyx.

"No. She doesn't need to go." Zane got in front of Kohaku. "You aren't one of us. So for all we know, you could be killing humans." She stared him down. Lend wrapped his arm around Calyx. He didn't know what else to do. "Join us," he said out of the blue. "You get a nice place to stay, and you get friends." He looked at Kohaku and hoped he would join the Rescuers.
