Nick winced as the second arrow hit his ear and tore through the tip. Blood dripped down his face. He shook some droplets off and focoused his attention on Kohaku. It was obvious. If he could hurt Kohaku, he could hurt Calyx. He bared his teeth and stalked towards the white wolf, snapping his jaws with every step he took.

Calyx hissed, gritting her teeth. These guys wer etough. She rotated her shoulder before turning back another arrow. She looked Nick in the eye, and gasped. He was going for Kohaku. She stood up and stood over her 'dog'. "You will not hurt my Dog!" She snarled, shooting an arrow at him.

"You will not hurt Nick!" Zane shot another bullet at Calyx, aiming for the arm that her weapon was in. She was angry, in pain, and sleep-deprived.

Nick dodged the arrow and picked up speed until he was trotting, then running at Kohaku. He fastened his teeth into Kohaku's shoulder and pulled him to the far corner of the building, planning to let the girls settle their fight while he settled this one. His growls got louder, longer, more menacing. His fur bristled almost everywhere, making him look huge.
