Kohaku swished his tail over Calyx's ears to stop her from hearing. "Dog! Stop it! I couldn't hear what he said," She said, taking the food from his mouth and setting it on the nearest chair. Kohaku glared at Lend, his multi-colored eyes threatening. -fail-

"She's gonna know sooner or later," Lend said to Kohaku plainly. "Calyx, that dog of yours is actually a werewolf." He took his eyes off of Calyx and looked at Kohaku, making sure that he wasn't going to jump on him or something.

Kohaku swished his tail over Calyx's ears again. Calyx huffed. "Stop it, Dog." She snapped. "Its irritating." Kohaku just turned over and stuck out his tongue. "Oh I can't stay mad at you forever." She giggled, rubbing Kohaku's tummy. Kohaku's tail wagged happily. He turned back over and sat on Calyx's lap. "I can't feel my legs," She giggled, falling over and pretending to be dead. Kohaku smiled, knowing she was faking. He sniffed her cauticiously, then pawed her. when Calyx jumped up he pretended to freak out. Calyx went into a fit of giggles. Kohaku still glared at Lend.

Lend looked at Kohaku. "Fine, let her be oblivious. She's gonna be ticked when she finds out you hid the truth from her," he said angrily at Kohaku. "Calyx, there are plenty of rooms with nice insulation and working heaters. Why don't you go find one for yourself," he said happily. "You'll know which room is ours because our names are written on post-it notes on our room's door," he said. He looked at Robin, Daemon, and the newcomers. "Find another human, eh?" He smiled and gave Selina a thumbs up. "Good work."

Nick caught the scent of a human as it came from the base. He could tell it was female. Sitting on his haunches, he pricked his ears and watched through the darkness for her, every now and again, he would give a short, lively bark or howl or grunt.

Zane worked her way through the city to the area where she heard numerous grunts and other dog noises. She peeked around the corner and saw a wolf. She was a bit confused as to why in the world she had ran into two werewolves today and two humans. She shook her head and tried to stay quiet. However, her music was still playing softly. The song Colorado Sunrise by 3OH!3 was playing in her ears. Her light pink hair flew infront of her eyes in the cold breeze. She shivered and rubbed her arms.

Nick stood once the girl peeked around the corner and walked up to her, eyes filled with curiousity. He wondered breifly what she was doing out here in the cold with no coat on. Taking the leg of her pants in his maw, he pulled her over to the warehouse where he and Kuma lived and disappeared into the dark for a second then returned with one of Kuma's warmest coats. He knew Kuma wouldn't be happy, but he didn't care. He dropped the coat at the girl's feet then sat back down and thumped his tail against the ground.

Zane stared at Nick. "Are you a regular wolf or a werewolf?" She cocked her head to the side. She rubbed his head and slipped the coat on. "Thankyou for bringing me here. Do you have a place to stay that's warm?" She looked at Nick and smiled. She wasn't sure if this wolf was a regular one or a werewolf. He seemed nicer than the one before who had caused her two injuries, one on her arm and one on her thigh. They were stinging from being out in the cold, but she didn't mind them.

((Lolz. Lets just play it safe. xD)) Nick flicked an ear back then bounded over to a darker corner of the warehouse, to dark for her eyes to see into, and shifted. He found a pair of jeans and a dark green tee and slipped them on then walked back out to meet the girl. "Hi. I suppose I'm a werewolf, eh?" He laughed and stepped closer to her. "My name's Nick. Nice to meet you." He said and smiled.

Zane nodded and looked around. It had been a while since she had seen her old dog, and she seemed to have a connection to everything that was canine now. "Zane," she said, looking up at Nick and giving a small smile.

"As for your second question, no. Me and my sister stay here, and as you can tell, it's very warm or comfortable for that matter." He said, guesturing over to a pile of cloth with two, wolf sized dents at the very center, only a few inches apart. Kuma trotted into the warehouse, catching the scent of Nick and a human girl. She stopped dead in her tracks when she caught sight of her brother and the girl. The human was wearing her favourite coat. Growling, she bristled the fur along her spine and shoulders then grunted and made her way over to her bed to sleep.

"I guess I'm not welcome here," she said. Zane got up and put the coat on the ground and walked out of the door. She walked into an alley and saw a tall, lumbering figure. The figure moved closer to her and looked at her.
"I'm... so.. so hungry," he said before grabbing her by the shoulders and attempting to bite her. She shreiked and pushed him away, running as fast as she could, only to be stopped by another one. Now there were two male vampires who wanted to suck her dry. She looked at them cautiously and frowned.

Nick tried to grab before she walked out but fell short. He turned and glared at Kuma. He opened his mouth to say somthing when he heard Zane's shriek. Throwing caution to the wind as he often did and forgetting about his clothes, he shifted back into a wolf and sprinted out to find her. Fur bristling, teeth bared, he ran through the snow to find her and two male vampires. Snarling, he let out a howl, to any of the listening rescuers and lept onto the nearest vampire, the one closest to biting Zane.

The other vampire looked at Nick, and sized the situation. He decided to run. The vampire that Nick tackled struggled and broke free of his grasp. He ran off into the shadows and disappeared. Zane looked into space. Her hands were trembling, and her legs were shaking. She was so close to being turned. "Oh my god. I'm completely accident prone," she said, studdering. She was in shock.

Nick, not really knowing what to do, pulled on Zane's pant leg, trying to get her to sit down. He kept a wary eye for any other vampires that might be lurking about in the darkness. He whimpered and continued to coax her into a sitting position.

Zane sat down and was still shaking. She closed her hands and tucked them in her pants pockets. She looked at Nick and patted his head. "Thanks," she said. "It's unfair how humans are like food to werewolves and vampires. And we only have a few defenses against them." She fought back tears as she went through what just happened. The blood from her cut had attracted vampires and they attacked her. Due to the lack of humans, the vampires had been starving. But they didn't know that animals were also a source of blood.
