Nick grinned and shrugged. "Humans are clever though." He pointed out. "They find ways to cope with the un-copeable. Mozart for example. He was deaf but he could play music. Humans have found ways to help the blinde read, the mute talk, the deaf hear."

"I think that we should stop talking about disabilities before one of us becomes disabled," Zane said, smirking. She sat up, letting Nick's arm drop to the ground. "How long have you been a werewolf?" She felt sorta strange asking him questions. But it might actually help her. She needed to know how long werewolves had existed. Maybe that would help her find a way to end all of this.

Nick shrugged. "I don't know. Ten years, maybe? It was a while ago." He said and crossed his arm's over his chest, only to smudge the leftover blood onto his arms and hands. Grimacing, he washed the rest of it off in the snow.

"How did you... become a werewolf?" Zane swallowed. She hoped that he didn't find that offensive. Most people would probably smack her for being that curious. It wasn't like her to go nosing around in other people's lives, but she needed to know this stuff.

Nick sighed and stood up. He pointed to a few scars that lay on his hand and wrist. They were all circular with a distinct half circle pattern. "I was bitten here." He said simply and brushed his finger over the scars, remembering that night with surprising clarity.

Kohaku opened his mouth and let out a long and loud yawn. Calyx blinked. Kohaku stared. "Dooooog!" She snapped finally. "You woke me up! Now I can't go back to sleep anymore." Kohaku licked her cheek, making her giggle. "Lets go down-stairs," The human said, patting Kohaku on the back roughly, but affectionatly. Kohaku wwagged his tail. Calyx sat on Kohaku--much like a horse--and he rode her all the way to the kitchen. Surprisingly, she didn't weigh that much, and he enjoyed it.

Lend was cooking eggs and toast in the kitchen. He looked at Kohaku and let out a small sigh. He really was determined on not letting her know. But he had a plan to let her know. Kohaku had to change some time soon. Werewolves could only stay in wolf form for a certain time. He finished cooking the eggs and spooned them onto a plate. He took the toast out and sprinkled some cinnamon and sugar on it. He put everything on the table and walked away. He didn't require all that much food. He only ate human food about once a week.

Calyx hopped off of Kohaku and walked over to the table and licked her lips. Kohaku's mouth wattered. "Does Dog want some?" Calyx asked. Kohaku nodded, sending werewolf slober all over the floor. "Doo-oog!" She sighed, leaning back in her chair. "I'll get a towel." She sighed, getting up and grabbing a towel. she got on her knees and scrubbed the spit off the floor. "This stuff is really stuck!" She said, exasperated. She shrugged, dropped the towel and gave 'Dog' her eggs. she was never really a fan of them. even with ketchup they tasted...wierd. Kohaku lapped the eggs up and layted down at Calyx's feet while she devoured her breakfast. He glared at Lend.

Now both Calyx and Kohaku were glaring at Lend. "Go to hell." Calyx hissed, stabbing her toast out of anger. She cut it up in tiny peices, and after giving Kohaku some, she finished up her breakfast.

Nick nodded. "Yeah. It hurt. Mostly because almost all my family was killed infront of me and I had to watch them bite Kuma too." He shuddered and shook his head to clear away the memories. "We'd better get you back to the Rescuer's Base. I bet you're pretty hungry, eh?" He grinned lopsidedly at her.

"Wait. I don't want to go back there. Lend and the human are either making out or killing eachother right now. That girl... Calyx. She equally matches Lend. That's something hard for a human to do," Zane said, sticking her finger out at Nick. "And that werewolf isn't helping anything. Calyx doesn't even know that he's a werewolf. She just thinks that he's her pet. And that dog, he gave me scratches," she said, pointing to her arm where he scratched her and to her leg where he nipped her.

"I don't know. You want to go raid the mall?" Zane smirked. Now that most of the humans were gone, malls were unattended and clothes were still on the racks, along with hunting gear, weapons, and other items. "We could find useful things there," she said, hopeful that he would agree.

Zane was basically drug to the mall. She found herself inside the mall before long. They had entered at the food court. "Where should we start?" She smiled at Nick, her eyes still looking around the mall.
