"I'm gonna search for some meat." Nick said and licked his lips before rumaging around in the various kiosks. Finally, he grinned and pulled out a mini-fridge with shelves of uncooked meat. "Score!" he yelled. He stashed the fridge back under the counter so he could come get it later. "Ok. Now you pick where to go next.

Kohaku looked at his arm and stared at disbelief. He was loosing fur. He ran to the door and scraped at it. "Dog has to go pee." Calyx said awkwardly, walking along the trail of fur he was leaving and to the door. She opened it. "Go kill some leeches!" She giggled. But somehow, the words didn't seem all that...entrailing anymore. As soon as Kohaku was out of sight, he transformed. he let out a sigh of relief as some blue jeans and a sweater crawled up over his body.

Lend smirked. He knew why he had to go. "He'll be back shortly. Worse come to worse, I could track him down," he said. "I vote that we go to the weapons store," Zane said, pointing to a large sportsmans store in the back. Deer and other various wildlife hung about its walls, stuffed.

Kohaku slipped on some sun-glas.ses to hide his multi-colored eyes. He walked aroudn the corner, his arms criss-crossed around his head. He soon enough found himself staring at none other that Zane. He quickly turned around and let out a sigh. Out of all the people. Calyx scowled at Lend. "Dog's not a mutt. He'll come back. He always does." She said matter-of-factly. She jumped on her couch and layed on her stomach, playing with some electronic thing.

Zane got that spidery feeling. As if someone was watching her. She turned around to find a guy not facing her. "Uh... Nick. Was he there a minute ago?" She kept looking at the guy, butlooked for nick out of the corner of her eye. "Sure. He won't be coming back this time as a dog," Lend said. "Calyx. Don't think I'm insane. Your dog is a werewolf. I know it because he smells like a werewolf."

Calyx rolled her eyes. "I've had Dog for years, and not once has he turned human." She said, her eyes boring into Lend. "And ifs none of you're buisness what Dog is. Dog is a dog. Period." She said. She wanted to add the part 'and werewolves were stupid', but decided against it.

"Fine. Don't believe me." Lend raised his hands. "I warned ya. He can't stay like a wolf for very long. He has to change eventually. That's what he went outside to do just then," he said, nodding towards the door.

Lend sighed and shook his head, frustrated on how dumb humans were. "Humans are so disbelieving. Just open up your mind to the world around you and you'll see many things that nobody else can see," he said to himself.

Calyx held back the urge to throw a pillow at him. But she knew it would only make things worse. She glared at Lend out of the corner of her eye. She didn't feel very confortably living with a vampire. She shrugged it off.

Lend jumped onto the kitchen counter and got ontop of the dresser in the far corner. Once he was there, he crossed his legs and pulled out a sketch pad and a pencil. He began drawing a very detailed sketch of the scene below him: Calyx laying on the couch.

Calyx glanced at Lend. You could just go around, she thought. She again, shrugged it off, and put two ear-buds into her ears and rested her head on her hands. Then she had the wierd feeling someone was watchign her. but life told her not to always listen to you're 'instincts' or 'gut feeling', because it just might kill someone. Finally, she looekd up to stare at Lend out of curiosity.

Lend, after completing his sketch, balled up the paper and threw it across the room to Calyx. "Look at it," he said, a happy smile on his face. He usually solves things by drawing. Usually. When things get out of hand, he doesn't draw, he fights.

Calyx automatically reeached out her hand and snatched the paper. Instincts, she sighed to herself. Why couldn't she be normal? She opened up the paper and stared. That was her! She allowed a small smile to spread across her face. "I didn't know you draw?" She said, sitting up and criss-crossing her legs. "Thats one thing we have in common...But you're much better than I am."

Nick turned to glance at the new-comer then turned back to Zane. "No. I don't believe he was. Anyways, lets go to the weapons store. Maybe he'll leave." He said and took her hand, starting towards the store she had pointed out.

Zane looked over her shoulder at Kohaku. "What if he's a human? What if he's sick or hurt?" She looked up at Nick, her eyes pleading. Lend jumped down from the dresser and walked to the couch. He sat down by Calyx and pulled out another pencil from his pocket. He put it down on the table along with his sketch book. "I have all the patience in the world."
