((Sorry about taking so long. o.o Was waiting for everyone to post bios so I could get an idea for my character, and kinda fell asleep. ^^; I do have one question though... the setting kind of strikes me as medieval, yet there are jeans and converses? O_o Edit: Also, I started at like... 8pm. O_o Damn long bios.)) ~Name~ Nero Istalri ~Age~ 19 ~Gender~ Male ~Picture~
(I can easily defend my use if a picture if you demand to know why. However, i've also typed up a deion, so there should be no problems.) ~Appearance~ Nero stands tall at 6'2" and has very pale, almost ghost-like skin. His eyes are normally crimson, but change based on his mood and how often he's using his powers. They follow the scale of heat on a fire, red - the coolest - being it's normal, everyday color, and can go up to being blue or even white if his temper flares. Nero has long, black hair. It's messy, and almost looks like he cut it with a knife. Not that this makes him look unattractive, just a little rough. His bangs are jagged and fall into his face. Usually, they don't hide his eyes, but messing with them a little will. He keeps them that length so he can easily duck his head and walk by people without them seeing his eyes. The sides of his hair are long, but shorter than the rest of his hair. The come down to about his chest while the rest of his hair goes down to his lower back, and he keeps them pulled forward, separate from the rest. His clothing is a bit... strange for a half-demon. He grew up in a church, and therefore has priest's clothing. Most of the time, he wears a tight, black shirt under a high-collared, white long-sleeved with gold trim that can be zipped up in the front. He wears black boots that, despite their size and weight, barely make a sound when he moves and does not slow him down at all. He often also wears a white robe that goes down the the middle of his lower back and covers his shoulders, The collar is a bit shorter than his shirt, but has three bands that binds the garment together. He also sometimes carries a staff and always wears a gold cross around his neck. Under his clothing, Nero has a thin, but muscular build. Although he typically appears frail, he is not to be mistaken for it. He is strong and fast and not to be messed with. ~Personality~ Nero can get a bit emotional/moody at times. He's mostly a loner, and has a dark, brooding air around him. He's not one to really enjoy other's company or cheer. Typically, they just bother him. He does have a temper, and it's bad to make it flare up. He hates his father, himself, and all the other demon offspring. He's vowed to kill them and then himself to rid the human race of such bad blood. Despite this, he's actually not a bad person. He thinks the demons are lying, and are not to be trusted. He would never harm a woman or a child or unarmed man unless they were part demon. ~History~ Nero was, of course, raised by his mother and never knew his father, but only for a short time. She was a strong supporter of the church, and was even somewhat a part of it despite laws that usually prevented women from being parts of it. Her getting pregnant was an ultimate shame to her and the church, but they agreed to still bless the child as it wasn't his fault he was concieved in a sinful way. However, a few years later, she mysteriously committed suicide, and the church took Nero in. He was labled a cursed child, but oddly, was still accepted into the church on the word of one priest saying God had asked him to save Nero's soul. Nero was raised by the church and, despite his supposed curse, was a devoted child of God. He worked extra hard for the church and excelled in every way. Despite never once hearing the word of God, he still became a priest at age 14. He rarely preached, but instead, he often protected others from demons and other creatures in the name of the Church. Although he traveled all over Kaleila, he mainly stayed close to Mech, his birthplace. When he turned 18, he finally found out about his reason for his mother's suicide and his mysterious father. His mother had found out about her lover's true form and had killed herself from the grief. Nero had been so enraged that he immediately tracked down his demon father. After months of searching, he found him. He refused to listen to his father's words. He was already weak from being hurt by the empire's army, but Nero was ultimately the one to give the final blow to his father. Although he'd planned on killing himself right after, his father had mentioned other's like him, so Nero vowed to kill them first and then kill himself. He refused to allow demon blood into the human population. ~Demon's Offspring Of~ Demon of Fire ~Other~ He's currently taking care of a small white kitten with a black muzzles and grey eyes. Most of what it does is sleep clinging to the back of Nero's collar, hidden by his hair, but sometimes it'll come out to keep him company. Nero also tends to argue with himself in his head. P: It's more or less how he thinks. I feel as though this entire bio turned into a fail but I don't know how to fix it. xD; Hopefully everything's at least understandable.

((Accepted Grave. And the settings aren't midieval. They're just not as developed. And due to all of the magic creatures protecting the forests, there aren't many cities. We start now.)) The full moon hung high in the sky, looking a lot like a craterous white marble on top of navy colored silk dusted with silver fragments. The stars were easily picked out, and the air was a bit warm. All was silent in the small villages that bordered Mech. Although, that didn't mean that things weren't all hunky-dory. Layla took in a deep breath as she took her moccasins off and placed them into her leather messenger bag along with several other items. She gulped down the lump in her throat and told herself not to cry. Her mother had never known that her child's father was half demon, and she never would. Layla didn't bother to leave her mother a note. She knew that it would only make her mother cry even more. After sneaking through the halls of her house bare-footed, Layla quietly opened the front door to her her house, and entered the forested country. She looked up at the moon, and sighed before walking across the area to Mech. There was bound to be at least one demon's offspring there. ~~~ Jason hammered down on the white-hot metal before him. All you could hear was the sound of the crackling fire behind him, and the sound of the metal hammer hitting the iron sword that he was smithing. Jason was known around the city of Mech as the blacksmith, and was quite popular. He even got special discounts at the stores. "Ouch!" Jason yelled when one of the sparks from the fire ventured from the pit and landed on his arm, searing his flesh. He brushed it off, and continued working on the sword. Even though it was nearly midnight, Jason wasn't tired. He was a night owl. He preferred to work at night because it was cooler, and he could see the moon and the stars. After a few more whacks with the hammer, the sword was ready. Jason dipped it into water to cool the hot metal off. Finally, he wiped it off with a cloth, and looked at his reflection in the shiny, gleaming metal. White hair, and light blue eyes to match. He sighed after a few long seconds. Why was he so unusual? He cracked his neck, and began to clean up his work station.

The forest was cool. Calm, quiet even. Which was certainly strange, as there was a large population of animals that lived here. Trailing her hands across the shadowed leaves Alessandra could feel a sense of tranquility within her battle with uncertainty. This absolute silence was frightening, something the girl could not tolerate in a place where sound reigned supreme...if you bothered to listen. Closing her cerulean eyes Alessandra leaned against a large oak trunk, draping her body over it in a fluid manner. This was the one place she belonged and she relished those nightly walks she took. The scent of the weald was around her, earthy and so much more alive than the city. There the air smelled of metal and death, of long-suffering that you couldn't quite run away from. Banishing these dark thoughts from her head Alessandra sighed and leaned her forehead against the tree trunk, wondering why she was feeling so anxious this night. It was almost as if she were on an adrenaline rush, since it felt like there was something she had to do yet Alessandra wasn't sure what it was. [Ohgod this sucks. D: I used up all my writing skills on another post. ;w;]

Maya ran her hand slowly through her loong wavy hair. Still needing to brush it, she made her way over to her hairbrush, and started to run it through the long locks of hair, while her eyes kept a vigilant watch on the world around her. The forest was calm. A light breeze drifted lazily through the mid-summer branches, and the golden sun which lit the sky in a peaceful aura shone down on everyone. Finishing her hair brushing, Maya turned to her rucksack, and quickly put away the mahogany hair brush. She slipped the sack onto her back, and sighed as the familiar weight leaned her over. She took one last look at the familiar dense part of forest which had been her home for the past month and a half, and started to make the long trek to another section. This time, she was looking for a stream. Getting water here had been difficult, and required a two mile trek down hill, by the end of which you were even more thirsty than when you had started. Maya quickly started to pick up the pace as it was mid-morning already. Pushing the occasional branch out of her way, she made quick progress. By lunch time, she was at the stream where she usually got her water. There she leaned over and removed her black flask from her rucksack. Filling it up with clear water that she would boil later, she put the flask back, tightly securing it. Breathing heavily, she rose again, and continued her long trek through. ~~~~ Maya sighed as she slipped off her rucksack which she had been hauling over many miles for the past seven hours. She collapsed onto the bare ground, too tired to roll over and start a fire for warmth, she just lay there in the sandy dirt, until she fell asleep. (Bleh. Can't think of much.. Eric is next.) Eric raised his short, six inch dagger to his side, not letting his eyes wander from his target. He stood, raised up on a rock, starign down at his prey, a group of unaware quail. 'Patience.... Patience.' he thought to himself, waiting for just the right moment to fling his dagger at the fat quail which pecked at the ground before him. The sun shone high ins the sky, and it beat down on his already burnt neck. Sweating profusly, he could barely stand the tedious wait. This is how his last three failed attempts at hunting had gone. He had struck at the wrong moment when he could bare it no longer, and his prey had fled into the hills surrounding him. 'Not this time.' he thought, his eyes bloodshot from lack of sleep. His jeans had holes in them, and multiple bites from mosquitoes, but Eric just shrugged them off. His eyes trailed after a particularly fat male quail, who was trying to attract the brown females in the area. 'Almost there..' he thought, 'now!' Launching his body forward just enough to propel his dagger at the quail, he hit it dead on. The quail fell to the ground as Eric hopped off his litte rock, and the other birds in the area flew off, noisily squeeling at him. He moved over the dead carcass of the bird. He said, "Mmm, lunch." and then began the tedious process of de-feathering the creature. (Better, I guess..)

((I'm not sure if you meant for it to be day time or night time in Eric's post, but it's night time.)) Layla was quietly when he heard a bunch of commotion from the nearby birds. She peered through the brush, finding a boy, Eric, who seemed to be absolutely tickled pink over his lunch; a plump quail. She planned to stay out of sight, but her golden eyes greatly resembled that of a wolf, and people had learned to have a keen eye for those creatures, given that they were extremely dangerous. And even worse, there were dead branches all around. She didn't seem to notice though. Layla began to back up, but stepped on a dead branch, causing it to snap. Layla, having tripped over the branch at the same time that it snapped, fell backwards onto her back. All of the air in her lungs left her. She gasped, trying to breathe. She couldn't get up, though. ~~~~ ((Braindead for Jason for now.))

((Sorry, well lets just say it took him until night fall to half pluck the bird free of feathers, and that it was late when he caught it anyway)) Then, something moved. Something with a hint of gold, moved. Eric flinched and jumped away, grabbing his half plucked quail, ready to make a run for it if it turned out to be what he thought it was; a big lumbering wolf hoping for his kill. Like a big, hulking beast , he snarled threateningly at the bushes. Hearing a snap, then something big, too big to be a wolf fall over, Eric stood up tall. Towering over the bush, he saw, yes, indeed, it was a girl. And no ordinary girl either. A girl with golden eyes. "Who are you? What do you want?" Eric questioned, peering down to get a closer look. Something about this girl was different. When he got closer, the birthmark behind his ear felt weird. Almost like it was burning, and yet, it wasn't. Sure, the golden eyes were a little weird, if not freaky, but that wasn't it. "What are you? Are you a demon?" he questioned, eyes glaring at her. Now, Eric had never actually seen a demon before, but he figured, Golden eyes, weird aura, it could be one. He readied his small knife, which was still clenched in his fist, and aimed it at the girls chest, ready to throw it if the answer was anything but no. (Sorry if I'm PPing, but I kind of had to post something... I hope the scar minor burning sensation isn't too off topic or weird or anything. I thought it might at some "jazz" to the situation, which oddly enough, needs no spicing up what so ever.)

((Nah. It's fine.)) Before Layla could get up, there was a boy standing over her with a knife to her chest. This wasn't good. He asked her if she was a demon, and Layla replied by saying, "No." Of course, that was half of the truth and half of a lie. She pushed the knife away from her chest, and got up. "I should be asking you that. You're the one who put a knife to my chest." Layla dusted herself off. This boy seemed to be a bit... strange. He wasn't normal. Of course, she couldn't pinpoint that he was a demon's offspring right then. She grabbed a granola bar from her bag and tore it in half. She put one half of it into her mouth, and wrapped the other half up in its wrapper. "Why so jumpy?"
