Darkblood quietly mewed as Redblood carried her over to the medicine cat. As she was set down, she felt a warm tongue on her head and face, the medicine cat was cleaning the blood off of her. "geez..." she whispered, her eyes still wide open. She thought she heard Shadow say something, but couldnt hear very clearly. She felt herbs and bloodmoss being gently packed in under the torn flesh to stop the bleeding. When the gross procedure was over, a more painful one began, much to Darkbloods disappointment. A sharp, torturing pain struck her head. Then followed by the horrible feeling of tough, dry grass being pulled through her skin. "Oooow, AOooooooow!" she yowled, obviously not enjoying the experience. After this was repeated a few times she got used to the pain. Just then, Darkblood noticed that a crowd mainly of her brothers and sister, but some other kits and a few yearlings, had gathered. They were swearing, taunting, laughing, calling names, and much more. She hissed, and spat, and growled to the rather rude kits. One even scratched her paw. Soon, the stitches on her head were finally all put in and Darkblood was let free. A giant cat leapt at the annoying crowd. It was Hallowblood. "Right you lot. Scram." he ordered.
Almost at once, Darkblood trotted urgently down the centre of the clan camp, past the leaders den, past the mothers den- but not quite. "what are you up to, Darkblood?" a soothing, gentle voice called. This voice was easily recognisable- FairBlood! Darkblood grinned and laughed nervously. "heheh, ya know... Just trottin' about." "why so urgently?" "urgently? Nah... Uh, see ya!" she quickly got out of the way. Hoping to avoid Redbloods sharp eye, Darkblood leapt from behind tree to tree in Shadows direction. When she was behind the tree right next to Shadow, She crawled out. "pssst." she whispered. "I need you to tell me, Shadow the legend, why were you cast out of the clan? My older brother told me it was because you killed all the clan kits together. All us kits moms say that if we dont go to sleep, the fearsome Shadow will come and pluck us straight from the den and devour us like we eat mice. But I don't believe him. Tell me the truth."

Red blood looked shocked at shadow "how are we supposed to save the clan? What so bad is gonna happen?" He asked frantically. He then listened as he heard that darkblood was back and watched the little kit. He looked at shadow with sorrow, after everything had happened the news had spread throughout everywhere and used a lot and talked about a lot... He didnt really think this kit would ask "darkblood..." He started but could not finish

"I don't know,but-",Shadow was cut off by Darkblood and replied to her,a smile creeping across her face at the strange things the clan had came up with by what she had done,"I'm sure I'm not going to eat another cat and certainly didn't kill all the clan kits either..." She faced Redblood,the smile faded and she asked him,"Can I tell her?"

Redblood looked from the kit to shadow, he has never thought of how hard it was to tell anyone what had happened that dreadful day. He sighed as he thought about his lost kits and mate, he felt a little tear steak down his cheek and shook it away and nodded at shadow "y-yes go ahead."

With that Shadow spilled out everything that happened that day,including finding her own kits dead and the strange feeling she had after her blood thirst was over and she was covered in the blood of her closest friend and those innocent kits. "I wouldn't have done that if my anger issues wouldn't have sent me into a mindless search for someone else's blood. I still miss them.",she added when the horrible nightmare of a story was over. Then her eyes went to look back at Redblood,just then an emotion she hadn't show since that day,when she realized what she had done,and a few tears went down her cheeks.

Darkblood listened in horror. She was glad that Shadow had the bravery to tell her that, and how emotionally hard it must have been to do so. She admired Shadows strength and showed it in a loving stare up to the great black cat. 'Shadowblood... ' She thought. It sounded so... Well, evil, but I guess Darkblood kinda did too. As she saw that Shadow was crying, she felt glad that not only little kits like her cried, but big, strong adults did too. She grinned but shook it off of her face quickly as she thought that was kinda rude. Darkblood pawed the tears on shadows face away, then walked up to Redblood and began cleaning the cut she had made on his leg. Her rough tongue hated the taste, but she was helping the clan leader, at least. Then she walked and sat in between the two, constantly looking from one to the other.

Shadow just looked at the kit,her shell breaking once more as a strange,unpracticed smile broke through and she quit crying. "Also,my name is Shadow'sBlood,originally.",she said,slightly changing the subject.

"Shadow'sblood... Wow." Darkblood whispered. Her tail swished at the tip, showing that she was happy, but tapped up and down nervously from time to time. She was aware that Redblood would not be pleased with her being so lovingly attached to Shadow.

"Everyone in this clan says ShadowBlood,but they always forget that that wasn't my name. Shadow'sBlood is different from ShadowBlood and I can't believe they said I was a cannibal. RedBlood,why would you let them think that? I only killed,not ate.",Shadow said and then looked down at the kit before adding,"I also remember one of my kits being gone when I woke up that morning,the rest were dead. I had four,but woke up with only three. Do either of you know anything about that?"

Darkblood shrugged. in the back of her mind, she recognised the calmer, gentle voice of Shadow, but didn't know where from. her brain worked up a headache of questions that she was bursting to ask, but with her leaders extreme hate for the cat she adored, she decided it was best to hold back her speech. she pawed and fiddled with the grass stitches on her head, irritating and itchy.

Red blood watched the two cats, it kind of settled him. Of course he was still mad over his lost kits and mate, he looked at shadow'sblood when she asked him bout the cannibal "a killer and a eater are different yes, but I have no clue where they got it from." He told her and then again another question came something about her lost kit. He remembered vaguely what happened, he remembered that just a few moments after he banished shadow that he saw her last kit, and the last kit was... Darkblood. " I'll be honest with you shadow I do remember it. Your last kit..." He couldn't say it he was too afraid of what would happen.

The silver eyes of Shadow showed a slight gleam as she spun around to look at DarkBlood. "You? Well,that would explain alot!",she replied and then walked up to her before turning to look at Redblood. Her excitement turned inside anger and she asked RedBlood,"Why would you keep her away from me then? Why!?" The black ears on her head flattened down and the words she spoke had been hissed out.

Redblood hissed at her and unsheathed his claws "you watch what your saying and who your saying it too! I have perfectly good reason to not have told you and you know it! I wanted to protect this kit and not give it to a killer! Why would I do that? Give the kit back to the one who killed my own?!" He yowled.

Shadow backed away a bit and calmed herself before saying,"Your know I've changed... It was only that one time..." Her head went down and she sat before wrapping her tail around her paws and her ears going into a position to show her sorrow. "I thought you would accept that I've changed...",her voice came out almost quiet.
