Darkblood stared up at her long lost mother. "so thats why all my siblings were white." she thought. she was stunned. Shadow was her mother? Darkblood lay down in astonishment. "You never told me anything..." She muttered at Redblood. "I might not have been bullied... Just if they knew..." She continued. she was starting to come more to Shadows side now that the truth had been heard. She shuffled closer to the black cat and further away from the red one. Her position was partially frightened, partially angry. Her heart thumped. "Why me?"

Shadow straightened up and said,"I've seen the parents you gave her to,you did a good job matching that up,but the siblings? They don't work that well,since I've never had a white cat in my blood-line." She then looked down at her kit and added,"I've always wondered why I was protective over you." Then she put a paw on her tail to keep her from attacking her leader and asked,"Does this mean she will have to carry the shame of being banished?" The shell had seemed to melt away and never return around these cats as her eyes begged for her kit to not have to live in the shame she had.

Redblood sighed heavily this was getting harder and harder, he looked from darkblood to shadow. He moved closer to darkblood slightly "trust me darkblood you would of not of been treated differently if I had told the clan, your adopted parents probably would of never taken you and every cat would look at you full of shame. I did what I thought of best." "But I am already looked at full of shame! don't sweet talk me outta this!" Darkblood cried. "If my mom can't be in the clan, neither shall I. Don't you dare say that I am being too serious for a kit. I can handle this myself!" She growled softly as Shadow placed her paw on her tail, but stuck with it. "don't even try." She added, staring at Redblood. She was very persuasive, but did not know if it was going to be enough to convince a clan leader. Still, by the look on his face, Darkblood knew that Redblood was struggling.

Shadow sighed and listened to her kit. "Trust me,you wouldn't want them to know of this. They would tease you even more and try to get you banished. You also don't want to have to bear more shame than you do now.",she tried to convince her and then removed her paw from DarkBlood's tail. "You can do what you want,but keep that in mind.",she added before looking at RedBlood with eyes that pleaded for help in the matter.

"Well,I could do that,RedBlood,but after this is over I must leave the clan,correct?",Shadow replied and then looked at her kit and back at RedBlood. "What will the clan think if you let me stay in the clan for a while?",she asked and added,"What will DarkBlood's adopted parents think when they find out who's kit they've been watching over for so many moons?" So many questions swam through her mind,but the one that hurt her to ask was the one she managed to say in a slow and low tone,"Could I be able to see the burial place of my friend and her kits?"

Darkblood thought carefully about her mothers questions. She was right. What WOULD her foster parents think? The other kits would hide from the legend, that was her mother... But the final, more personal question made her blod freeze. Darkblood had been horrified by the story, but to visit the burial place would be killing. But wait, what about her real brothers and sisters? Or maybe just brothers? Maybe just sisters? What about their burial places? Actually, as being a banished cats dead kits, would they have been chucked out? "Redblood." She started. "Say, where were my real dead brothers, sisters, put? I can't imagine they were buried."

The question DarkBlood asked stung Shadow's heart and she flinched. That was a question she had been too terrified to ask her old leader,but was something she also really needed to know to bring her mind to peace in knowing it,or in anger at the answer.
