((NYA.  I was starting but my mom took the computer away.  8c))

 Killerkit's eyes flicked open, his round pupils quickly retracting to slits.  He stared blankly ahead at the sleepy clan moving around outside.  The cats that were selected for the Dawn Patrol weren't even selected yet.  Killerkit kept his body still, using all of his energy to think of why he had woken up.  He didn't even feel groggy, as a kit that wakes up this early would be expected to be, he was just..  Awake.  A bad dream maybe?  That might have been it.  Something about a pool, and an evil looking cat with huge claws chanting a song thats tune made his fur stand up on end.  Even though he couldn't remember the words, he knew it was bad, and that it somehow was about him, and that it would change how others thought about him.  He whimpered, wishing he had his mother to cuddle up against, and his already low spirit dropped when he thought about how most other cats blamed him for her death.  He decided to just lie there, afraid that waking up so early would just give another excuse for the others to try to get him exiled.  He didn't want to close his eyes, even though they probably would give him away, since they glowed pretty eerily in the darkness of the Nursery.

Closer...Just a little bit closer... Tears thought as he stalked a large mouse. He could feel his heart speed faster and faster each step he got closer to the mouse. He hadn't eaten a decent meal since he and his sister had been on their own and he couldn't wait to taste anything besides the horrid taste of plant roots that they had been eating now for the past moon. He took another step closer and then he was close enough. He felt his muscular hindlegs tense up and then he was in the air pouncing on a mouse. He let out a shocked hiss as the mouse let out a surprised...Meow?

 Tears eyes bolted open as his sister pushed him off of her. He felt his mood sink with dissapointment as he realized that the whole thing was just a dream and he was really still stuck in the thorny bush with his sister.

 "What in Starclan!" Neon hissed jumping up to face her brother. Her fur stood on end and her eyes were furious, but tired. "Tears! Can you please try not to pounce in you dreams? I haven't had a decent sleep in a moon because or you leaping all over the place!"

 "Sorry sis-"

 "Is it even possible for cats to pounce in there sleep or do you just do it for fun! Oh yeah, that is really funny!" Neon raged on not paying any attention as her brother began to back away, pinning his ear against his head.

 "I'm really sorry, Neon. I didn't mean to!" Tears said softly backing out of the bush. "I'm going to see if I can catch anything." He added as he turned around and padded into the forest.

 Yea, right. You can never catch anything because you don't know how to hunt! Neon thought angrily to herself as she curled up into a ball again and went back to sleep.

 Aurorakit opened her eyes as she heard the cats outside moving around. She let out a sleepy yawn as she looked around the dim lighted nersury. at first it didn't appear that any of the other kits were awake, but then she caught two eyes glowing through the darkness. "Killerkit?" She whispered. "Are you awake?" She added even though it was a rather stupid question seeing as his eyes were wide open and she had never heard of a cat sleeping with its eyes open.

 Aurorakit narrowed her eyes and gave the other kit an evil look. "I'm sorry Thunderkit. I didn't realize that you planned to sleep your way through life. I feel bad for whoever will be your mentor, waking you up will be a real pain in the tail!" Aurorakit said in a half sarcastic, half scornful voice. Her cool blue eyes flickered away from the grumpy kit and looked back at Killerkit to give him a curious look as if she was also waiting for Thunderkit's question to be answered.

There mother was a kittypet, and she learned what candles were, and Candlekit's pelt reminded her of candles.  8D  IWINYAY.))

"I.. I.."  Killerkit barely kept his voice from cracking with fear.  His eyes were still closed, and the overhead view of two cats staring into pools of water filled his mind.  One cat looked brave and strong, and both his fur and the pool looked like they had the stars in them.  The image quickly melted, and was replaced with an evil looking cat who was humming the song while looking into a pool as black as night.  The cat sharply turned his head around, as if he sensed Killerkit.  Tigerstar.  He instantly knew the name, and his eyes shot open.  He hadn't realized he was shaking so much.  "T-T-Tigerstar!"  His voice yowled.

Frostkit was jolted out of her sleep.  "Waaa."  She exclaimed, covering herself with her fluffy tail.  "What happened?  Are we under attack?"
