(( I know that an ill dog or wolf may nibble on some plants, but don't really practice medicine. I was just wondering if I had the green light to start making up cures for what ever might ail the wolves :3

(Hmmmmm. I think I can scrounge up some bad excuse for a post. XD Oh, and I found a list of Warriors herbs you could use. [It's usually what I go by, anyways...] http://flameclan.wetpaint.com/page/Medicine+Cat+Herbs )
Conri caught a pair of amber eyes on a smiling face looking towards him as he was surveying his awakening pack. He padded over to Mae. "Good morning," he greeted her. "It's nice weather we're having. Aren't you glad that winter's over for now, too?" His tail twitched slightly, remembering the scarcity of prey a few winters ago. The pack was so weak... A few wolves died... Shaking off the thought, Conri returned his attention to the conversation at hand.

Zaylek frowned as she walked away. Looking back at Maxis, he saw how he was
glaring at him and decided not to even try to talk to him. Glancing back
towards where Sabeline had gone, he saw that she was trying to hide a limp. He
looked down her leg and saw a bite mark, no doubt from Maxis. He stepped away
from Maxis, trying not to challenge him, and started off towards Sabeline.
It wasn't hard for Zaylek to catch up, with her limping the way she was. He
stopped next to her and said, "Hey, so .... ummm, you're limping pretty
badly. And I was wondering if you wanted me to, uhh… check it out a little. I’m
sure I could probably help, maybe. I mean I’m the medicine wolf sooo…” He cut
himself off because he finally realized he was acting like a nervous wreck. He cleared
his throat, “I could also get you a bit of food, so you don’t injure your leg
anymore. Unless you don’t want me to, and then I’ll just let you be on your
way.” Zaylek looked away and into the underbrush. He mentally kicked himself for
acting so over-eager to talk to her. Quickly, he looked back at her and smiled.

Felnar snuggled further down into the shallow impression in the dirt where he slept. His nose was buried in his soft, fluffy, tan and grey tail, with his ears and eyes pricked over top of it. His amber eyes were dark slits against the weak morning sunlight, but he could see just fine. Most of the pack was still resting, but there was a slightly tense feeling in the air, neither good, but definitely not bad. Somewhat uncertain. But of course that was to be expected, today was the first day of the mating season. Felnar knew he should get up, but, as he was pretty laid back, not to mention exhausted, he felt little inclination to. He hadn't slept well that night, and in the dark, a burden of worry had descended on his shoulders. He hadn't been the Alpha for very long, and he needed to secure his position by choosing a mate, otherwise trouble would stir, but he wasn't particularly interested in any female at the moment.
Felnar glanced up, twitching his nose as he scented the crisp air. He stood up slowly, until he was situated in a crouching stance, where he arched his back and stuck out his front legs, stretching. His muscles now feeling a little more relaxed, Flenar stood up fully, and slid out of his sleeping hollow. He bounced slightly, and set off, trotting towards the edge of the little thicket where his pack slept for the most part. He needed a drink, and he figured a little trip to the river couldn't hurt, but at the edge of the clearing, he paused wondering if someone might notice him and come with him. With a pang he remembered how his sister used to stick with him, until she died of starvation, just moons before Felnar became Alpha of the Miroan pack. He shook his head, he had more pressing matters at hand, and dwelling in the past wouldn't do him much good at this point. His thoughts drifted to Alesa, she was always a comforting presence, and he could use a friend to just talk to right now. He'd hardly be surprised if she had someone in mind for this season though, Felnar was a light sleeper, and he'd noticed her absent sleeping hollow on more than one occasion. To his relief, this this thought didn't bother him much, she was just a friend, nothing more, but he wondered if he should seek her out at this point.
---
Kieme danced around, her heart racing with excitement. Today... she didn't know what to think. She didn't have anyone much in mind, but that didn't mean something couldn't happen over the next couple of months. In particular she was looking to go hunting today, either alone or with a partner... or a hunting... friend. The excitement had gone out of her. Still, she was a little hyper, and that was unusual. Kieme was usually quiet and shy, although she loved to run when she was on her own. Maybe if she branched out a bit this year, she would start to bloom, and someone might just notice her.
Kieme slipped along, keeping quiet, while observing pack activities. She wondered who might pair up, but she also worried about any fights that might occur, as was to be expected. There were two packs out this way, and although they were usually friendly with each other, spring as always a touchy time, and everyone was still recovering from the incident with prey a little while ago. Kieme drifted around, looking for someone to talk to before she took off to look for prey.

"No, don't waste your time." Sabeline said. "Besides, I'll probably just get bitten again anyway. Thanks, though." Sabeline tried to hide her annoyance. Quit following me!. She wanted to growl at him. She continued on her way, breaking into a sprint, even though it was painful. She didn't know that when she had started running, she had opened the bite back up and began bleeding again. It was the one thing she seemed to be good at- running. If he sees I can run, he'll probably leave me alone. She ran at full speed, even though it hurt her back leg. And if he doesn't, he'll never be able to catch me anyway. She was annoyed with him. That was honestly one of the only things that annoyed her. When wolves followed her when she was going to this place. Her place. The only place she felt like she really belonged in. So, in her opinion, she should at least be able to have it to herself. (Why. Is. The. Bottom. Half. Of. My. Post. In. Italics. Ignore that, you guys. T.T)

Zaylek felt his spirits drop tenfold as she ran away from him and into the forest. She had rejected him and, no matter how hard he tried to act like it didn't hurt, it had crushed him. Only the first day of mating season and I've already been rejected! he thought to himself. It was probably because he was so goofy, not as if he hadn't tried to change it. He was always trying to perfect himself, make her love him back, but it wasn't ever going to work. He might as well be a loner, living among rocks and trees, but nothing else. There wouldn't be other wolves to break his spirit, no one to boss him around. He swiftly dispelled the thought, it wasn;t as if he could actualy leave his life behind... yet. Zaylek snarled loudly and spun around to a random direction. He bolted through the forest, trying to find any place to escape from reality. Soon, he came upon a small clearing surrounded by trees. He launched himself at one of the trees, quickly putting a large bite mark into the trunk. Then, he turned and clawed at a sapling until it fell down. This was how he would always feel... ------------------- Lanya trotted between trees and bushes, smiling all the way. She had thought of two ways f=to get her mind off of a certain Desolei wolf named Grissom. Either she must find a new love, not highly likely, or focus all her thoughts on helping the rest of the pack. The second seemed much easier, and she was starting on it now. She was padding through the forest quietly, trying not to wake the rest of the sleeping wolves, searching for Felnar, the Miroan pack Alpha. She wanted to see if there was anything he would like her to do. Lanya was debating on whether or not to grab some prey for him on the way. she quickly decided not to. She didn't want to seem like she thought he was incompetent. He was a great Alpha and Lanya only wanted to help him when he asked. She soon found the area and saw him, "Hello, and happy mating season!" She smiled, "You can almost smell the pressure in the air. So, anyway, is there anything you would like me to do?" She sat and bent her head down in a respectful manner.
The only reason people get lost in thought is because its unfamiliar territory.

(Alesa and Lanya are going to be enemies, I can just tell XD )
Alesa was lost in her petty daydreams, as she was most of the time. She soon realized that she couldn't very well stay in camp all day and think about Grissom and the time of year, so the black wolf got up and shook her fur out. Wow, it was getting hot... fast. This year was going to be pretty warm. Trotting off towards the woods and scenting the air for any small game, her eyes caught sight of Felnar. He must've gotten up recently, since she hadn't seen him out of his den a few seconds ago. Either that, or she was very oblivious. Alesa was about to go over and offer to hunt together, since more hunters meant bigger catches, until she saw Lanya go over and begin a conversation. Oh well. Maybe another time...

Felnar almost jumped out of his skin when Lanya trotted up. He quickly composed himself however, and turned to face her, looking her up and down. Almost all the wolves seemed to be in pretty high spirits, making him wonder if he'd be able to join in at some point. Felnar leaned back, brushing against a small shrub. He was thinking about what he should have her do, without removing too many wolves from the denning place. He wasn't yet sure how the Desolei Pack would respond to the current season, and he didn't want the Miroan Pack wandering around too much.
"Yeah, how about you go around and make sure everyone is in, or around the denning area," Felnar paused, not wanting to give all of his thoughts away to Lanya, wonderful and effective Beta she might be. "I'm thinking about moving the denning area, so we're a little closer to water, but I want to talk with everyone first to see what they think, you know, to make sure they're comfortable with moving a little ways away," Felnar finished with a flick of his tail, signalling to Lanya that her audience with him was over.
Felnar pushed passed his Beta, and slipped out into the rest of the thicket. He desperately wanted to find Alesa right now, he wasn't entirely sure why he wanted to talk to her so badly, but he did. He also knew he didn't want to call her out, rather find her by himself. With any luck, he might find her on the way out of the thicket, as she didn't seem to be in the denning area right now, or at least not within his field of vision.

Speeding off into the brush, the black she-wolf sought out her Alpha's familiar pelt. She burst out of a bush, skidding to a halt right in front of him. "Hiya!" she chirped happily, somehow confused that she was so glad to see him. "I mean, um, regards, Alpha," she corrected herself, dipping her head to show her respect. Alesa had her puppylike side to her and it sometimes got in the way.

When she was convinced she was far enough away from Zaylek, she slowed down into a slow walk. Looking back at her leg, she could see that she was bleeding. She laid her ears back, and kept walking. She knew she should have let him help her, but she didn't want Zaylek wasting his time trying to help her. Maxis would probably bite her sooner or later anyway, and she couldn't hunt with injuries. She figured that sooner or later, she would starve to death. Not necessarily anytime soon, but she was sure that was how she would leave this world. Sabeline finally arrived at the place she had been traveling to. There was a cave in the side of a hill in the pack's territory. But it was a huge have, big enough that the hill could be considered hollow. The only reason the hill probably hadn't collapsed was because the walls and cieling of the cave were solid rock. The floor was dirt, and no plants grew, because there was no sunlight. No plants except for the reason she always came to the cave in the first place. The entrance of the cave was very tall, and there was a small rock that hung over the entrance near the top. On top of the rock was dirt. In the dirt was grass, and in the center of the grass was a bright blue flower. She hadn't ever seen another one. It could probably only grow because it was on the entrance- therefore the sunlight. She sat down in the middle of the cave, then laid down, and just stared up at the flower. It was calming, really. But eventually she looked back at her leg. It was bleeding all over. I really should've let Zaylek help me. It was nice of him to offer to, anyway. He was going to get me food, too. Her stomach rumbled at the thought. He must be really nice. Her thoughts were interrupted by another thought.(Okay, this is going to be confusing. She's basically arguing with herself, so I've put some of the thoughts in bold, and underlined others. .) You like him. No I don't! He'll just break your heart. It's not worth it.Fine. You don't. You love him, then?Get a grip. He'll never like you anyway. I don't love him, either. You know he means the world to you, Sabeline. Sabeline growled, and put her head down. Alright. Shut up.

This time Felnar did jump, but he quickly adjusted his stance so he was in a play-bow position. " You don't have to be that formal," he scolded Alesa playfully, wagging his grey-tipped tail. He jumped up again, just enough to glance over the black she-wolf's head, to make sure that Lanya was out of earshot. "Anyway, while Lanya's checking around, would you like to come hunting with me?" Felnar asked, cocking his head, still wagging his tail. "I'll explain to her where you were when we get back, if you come with me. I doubt it'll bother her that at least one wolf slipped out while she's checking around," he said in an almost teasing manor. He looked carefully at Alesa, it looked like she'd been up for a while. He hoped she would come with him, he really could use the company.

Alesa smiled her wolfish grin and got in a play-bow stance as well, tail begining to gain momentum as a wag. "Of course I'll go hunting with you. And how can I deny my Alpha? I wonder how big of a catch we'll get together," she mused. Springing up to her paws, she turned to go deeper into Miroan Pack's territory. "Ready?" Her tail wagged and her eyes were bright as Alesa's nose began to pick out scents in the forest. There was rabbit, stale rabbit, fresh bird that must've flown by not too long ago, and... a herd of deer - jackpot.

Sabeline stood up, and padded out of the cave in the hill. She was frustrated, in a horrible mood, she knew this would all end badly. Get a grip. Stop it. Just...quit. Quit thinking about Zaylek. RIGHT NOW. But her thoughts just kept going back to him. She was growling constantly. Nobody can know. Ever. I'll get over it, right? Just another wolf who is going to end up breaking my heart. It's not like it's a first for anything. No. Big. Deal. I'll just hide this from everyone. I'll be fine. She had convinced herself very well at this point that her plan was going to work. She began to walk back toward the camp. --- (Okay. Maxis is being really lazy, so I'm going to make him do something.) Maxis sat up. He looked around. His eyes were reddish-brown, usually glittering with hate and/or annoyance. His already brown fur was dirty, his front paws and mouth covered in blood from the rabbit he had eaten. His left ear was torn up, from the one time when Sabeline had fought back after he bit her. That had been a year ago, but his ear was still ripped up. He narrowed his eyes as he looked around the camp. There was no wolf he knew of who was like him. No one who saw the darker side of everything. He didn't fit in here, and he didn't belong here. But living here was easy, and he had Sabeline to take out any anger he ever had on. Still, he always kept an eye out for the 'darker' minded wolves. The ones who actually weren't afraid to kill somebody if they needed to...or if they just plain felt like it. Even if it was just the most innocent of wolves, if taking a life was what he had to do to get any attention around here, he would gladly do so. --- Grissom padded through the woods, following the trail of a deer. He could tell the deer was a doe, and was already hurt, and would be weak enough for him to take on- even alone. His gray-green eyes scanned the woods for any sign of the deer, but all he found were occasional puddles of blood on the ground. The trail came to an end in a clearing, surrounded by tall grass and ferns. Most likely, the doe was hiding in there. However, if he went the wrong way into the grass to look for the deer, it could see him from anywhere in the grass and run. He thought for a moment, then had an idea. He threw back his head and howled, and as he ended the howl he turned it into a snarl, so that it would sound as frightening to the deer as possible. His plan worked, and the deer stood up so that it was visible, and ran. Grissom smirked, and chased after it.

(I made two more charries. :D -was bored- This be their intro's.)
Fenris stole a glance at Maxis. He always seemed to dark and depressive. Yet, he was cute. His reddish-brown fur matched his eyes almost perfectly. Shaking her head, she laid her head back down on her paws. He was full of hatred and was always in a bad mood. Fenris growled at herself. She was so stupid. Why would she ever get involved in this petty thing called 'love'? Perhaps killing Maxis would make things better off for her. Then she wouldn't have to worry about him at all. Life was just so cruel sometimes. Spitting emotions and things at her when she could very well have a better time without things. The worst thing was love. And the fact that it was mating season and time for all that romance and crap. Seeing it all made her sick. The puppies annoyed Fenris to death. Her eyes narrowed at her own thoughts. --- Amanu was sleeping. [lol not much of an intro]

Lanya smiled when she saw the two wolves walk off together. Maybe some people in the pack would have a goof mating season afterall. She wandered around telling all the Miroan wolves she met to stay near the area. ----------------------- When Zaylek finally finished demolishing the wooded area, he stood still for a moment. He shouldn't have let Sabeline walk away. Besides the fact that he loved her, he was the healer and should have demanded she stay so he could fix her leg. He couldn't, though. He didn't want to try and force her into anything... Suddenly, Zaylek growled. It was Maxis's fault she was hurt. He was the one who had bitten her leg, and Zaylek wanted to tell him not to do it again. At this point he didn't want to think of what Sabeline would do when she found out, he just wanted to do something. He stalked off, back towards Maxis. Zaylek was still worked up over Sabeline's rejection and as soon as he saw Maxis, he growled. "I'm tired of you. Just stop hurting her!" He knew that Maxis would know who he meant. "I know that you're strong, but just quit it already. Get out your frustration some other way."

Felnar smiled, one he figured would be a rare sight on his face as the mating season progressed. "I wonder..." he murmured quietly, so Alesa couldn't hear. "I'm sure we'll bring something worthwhile back. Do you smell something?" Felnar stuck his nose in the air attempting to pick up the scent of prey. A deer herd, that's what Alesa must have smelled, because he could now detect the trail, although it was fading - the creatures were on the move. "We might want to get moving, if we want to catch them," Felnar glanced at Alesa. A slight, warm breeze tickled his nose, rustling his fur, and he closed his eyes, thinking that he might just survive the next month after all.
Felnar took off, shooting through the undergrowth in pursuit of the moving herd. He didn't wait for Alesa, female wolves were smaller and lighter than the males, and he knew she'd have little to no trouble catching him.

(( Wait - wut? Um, Lanya's post sort of confused me. Lanya and Grissom are in different packs, so why are they hunting on the same territory? And I thought Alesa was "stalking" him early in the morning, before most other wolves were up. Sorry, I'm not trying to butt in, I'm just a tad bit confused as to how things are working right now, if the wolves regularly cross borders and such T.T))
