"You didn't help him. You just laid beside him. Oh, yeah, keeping watch on an unconcious wolf - sooooo helpful," Conri growled sarcastically. "Get lost," the Alpha snarled in an authorative voice. "You have no business here." The snow was practically pouring down - if snow could be pouring, since that was more of a term for rain - and the wind was picking up, blowing a tad harshly against Conri's silvery gray fur. This wasn't just going to be snow - this might just be a freaking blizzard!

Lanya growled back, "That wolf would have killed him if not for me!" She took a moment to shake out the snow from her fur. "And as I said before," she practically yelled, "I'm not leaving! I really don't care what you have to say." She could barely stop herself from bowling him over, if he hadn't been carrying Grissom then she should have. There was no room left in her mind for Alphas and their petty arguments. They were only put there to control the wolves under them and, in her opinion, should all be killed. Were they really needed? Again she thought of the snow. What woiuld all the other wolves think of it, especially during mating season. They would probably think it was a bad omen and not reproduce. She snorted. The stupid helpless furballs wouldn't know what to do. She refocused her attention on the wolf she was following, "You can't get rid of me as easily as one of your othr mutts."

Conri snarled. "Riker!" he called out, as they were very close to camp. A tan and blackish wolf came running and his eyes narrowed at the unfamiliar wolf. Riker let out a low and short growl and awaited further instruction from his Alpha. "And Cambria," Conri continued. "Get rid of her. I don't care what you have to do, just get her off the territory and gone for good or kill her." He had no more patience and his fuse was short at the moment. Any way to get this intruder to beat it would be fine with him right now.
Riker looked back at Cambria. He was a pretty decent fighter, but he didn't see the big reason behind this wolf's necessity to leave. But if his Alpha gave the orders, he had to follow them.

Lanya's eyes narrowed, "I see... You really want me gone?" She sounded sincere as she looked sadly at the wolves who would fight her to the death if their Alpha told them to. They were so loyal and naive, just as she had been a days before. "I'm not going to fight them." She stared straight into the Alpha's eyes. "If they attack so be it, I'm not fighting back. I can't believe you would just send them in to fight with a wolf that may or may not want to kill them." She turned to the wolf she assumed to be Riker, "I would never kill another wolf unless it was a necessity. And, as much as I want to say it is, this isn't one. But I really don't understand why I can't come in, help out, and wait unti l he wakes up!" She pointed her nose at Grssom.

(This is Cambria, just so you guys know, since I never had a picture for her in her bio. http://wolfy12.webs.com/Tired_Arctic_Wolf_Cub_by_amrodel.jpg Oh, and also, Cambria's going to get angry here. Just a warning.) Cambria didn't usually get angry. At all. But she didn't belive what Lanya was saying about some 'other wolf' who attacked Grissom. She beleived that this wolf had been the one who nearly killed her brother, then argued with a wolf with as much authority as Conri, and the comment about how she 'couldn't believe Conri would just send his wolves into a fight where the wolf may or may not wasnt to kill them' put her over the edge. This was too much for her to just hide all her emotions and remain calm like she normally did. "Alright, look. I know you're a liar and I know you attacked my brother. I know there was no 'Other wolf,' so feel free to keep your mouth SHUT. Nothing useful's gonna come from it. The reason Alpha Conri sends two of his wolves to fight a wolf who may or may not want to kill them is because he knows we're more than capable of ripping you to shreds. I'm going to give you ten seconds to get lost. Stay away from me, Stay away from Desolei Pack, and stay the hell away from my BROTHER." Cambria was simply saying the meanest things she could think of, and hoping the wolf wouldn't actually want a fight, because Cambria was talking as if she was a lot stronger than she truly was. Please just run away, please just run away... She thought over and over as she realized how angry this wolf was possibly going to become.

"What the heck his going on?" Kieme whispered to herself as she slipped out of her den from underneath the scraggly little tree. Her pelt had only a light dusting on snow on it when she emerged, but soon enough the wet, heavy flakes had coated her fur, and she was shivering from the bitter cold. Stupid snow, it's going to be such a bother this year, hopefully any pups born will make it, assuming this weather cleared up at all.
Kieme gasped as she spotted the returning patrol, Grissom not moving with Conri. She could see an unfamiliar wolf, and Cambria going all out at the strange she-wolf, saying some things that Kieme could hardly believe came out of her mouth. Besides, had this strange wolf really tried to kill Desolei's Beta Male, and then followed him, pretending that she cared what happened to him? Was she just following Grissom and waiting for the right chance to finish him off? Kieme shook her head, and started over.
"What happened?" she came up behind Riker and asked quietly. There was a simple way to check whether or not this strange wolf had injured Grissom, simply sniff his wound and see if the scent matched the she-wolf's. But Kieme could see why Conri wanted her gone. She had walked in to the camp and defied a wolf with authority. Wolves were supposed to listen to the Alphas in a pack, they kept the peace, and were supposed to be respected for that. Kieme felt a pang of sadness for the other wolf. How could you live a life without paying any, if only a little, attention to the rules? If you didn't, wolves only got hurt. Like Grissom.

Lanya frowned sadly. This wolf was freaking out on her because she didn't believe her story, but Lanya couldn't think of any way to convince her toherwise. The only way would be to wait for Grissom to wake up, and it didn't seem as if that would be happening any time soon. "I care more about him than you know!" She growled, getting defensive again, "I would never, even if my life depended on it, hurt him in any way! And I don't really like it that you're accusing me of doing so!" She calmed down once agaun and said, "I'm not leaving, its as simple as that. Kill me if you want, I'd rather that than leave right now." The snow was actually starting to get on her nerves by now. She was shaking a little, and it contradicted her whole tough wolf mentality. She wouldn't, however, give up ground on a topic as important as this.

[Not too late to join with my triplets I hope?]
Name: Dion Age: Young Adult. Gender: Female. Pack: Desolei Rank: Just a member. :) Appearance: A tannish wolf with a nearly white underbelly. She was the runt of her litter, and remains a bit small. Personality: Known to speak her mind, but not much for fighting. RP further. Hates to be a disappointment. History: Runt of her litter and sickly growing up. Grew up in Desolei. Has been fond of Conri since they were young, though has never said a word as she believes she is not fit to carry and raise young worthy of the alpha. Crush: Soft for Conri. Other?: Sister of Otis and Goliath
Name: Otis Age: Young Adult. Gender: Male Pack:
Desolei Rank: Just a member. Appearance: A darker version of his sister, though normally sized. Personality: A very reserved wolf, speaking mostly to Dion, who voices his opinions for him. History: Born and grew up in Desolei. Has watched Lanya from a distance for a long while, stopping to look when scouting the packs borders. He respects the female more than anything, but is very curious about her. She simply intrigues him. Crush: Slightly fond of Lanya. Other?: Brother of Dion and Goliath.
Name: Goliath Age: Young Adult. Gender: Male Pack:
Desolei Rank: Just a member. Appearance: Almost black, but under certain lights is noted to actually be a very dark brown. Larger than his brother, but not really oversized for a wolf. Personality: Very flirtatious and teasing. Always complimenting the females, and offering them small prey he seems talented at catching. Most females know he's not serious, as he treats his own sister much the same. There was once a female he truly seemed to have affection for, but she died of a sickness. History: Born and raised in Desolei. Has always been very 'friendly' and playful towards females. A female named Deaki once truly caught his attention, and he treated her like a goddess, knowing that they would never have pups if they remained in Desolei, and both being content with that. She caught a sickness that the healer couldn't cure, and passed away. Crush: A flirt, but no serious crushes. Other?: Brother of Dion and Otis

Cambria snarled. "Get out of here! Don't you have anything better to do with your life than attack my brother and then refuse to leave? Go, now. Or I WILL kill you, you worthless mutt!" Cambria didn't think she'd ever been angrier. Never, not once. In fact, she was trying to think of a time when she had been. And she came up with nothing. She thought about it for a while...still nothing. And then she remembered. Yeah, she'd been angrier once. But at that point, she hadn't been able to do anything. She quickly shook the thought away. "Just...just go...okay..?" She said, calming down a bit. "If you do, I can talk if Grissom later. If he really knows who you are, and you actually helped him, maybe he'll want to talk to you. But please, just get out of here for now." Cambria knew this wolf had been lucky. The thoughts of what had happened to Cambria and Grissom a different time had stopped Cambria from attacking her. "Just...go." She repeated, her voice just barely above a whisper this time.

Riker whispered to Kieme, "Conri wants the foreigner to leave, yet she won't and insists on being with Grissom. Conri sends me and Cambria to get rid of her. And then the arguments ensue." He sighed sadly and didn't show any emotion on his face at the wolf's words. But it had hurt. He wasn't a killer, he was just loyal to his pack, and he would've done anything to not kill her and rather just chase her off. Riker was simply not the way she thought he was, and the fact that she told him that pained him because it was sort of a far way to go to send two wolves to either chase off an intruder or kill them. But it was an intruder and that was sort of how you dealt with them...
Conri set Grissom down in his den. "Gee... I haven't seen Xyra around," he muttered to himself. [Dragon, you thar? D: ] (Alright, first of all, TOTAL FAIL POST OF MINE/end caps abuse/. Kieme nodded, and flicked Riker's shoulder with the tip of her tail as she slid by him. She didn't know if Conri had noticed her yet, but now she was gong to make her presence know. This time she came up by Cambria, although not as quietly as before, she knew she didn't need to hide or anything. The Beta's sister was calming down, Conri seemed to be thinking of something else... it just didn't seem like a fight was about to break out. "Cambria," Kieme began, "what if we just sniff Grissom's wound and see if the saliva scent, assuming there is one," Kieme glanced at the strange she-wolf, "matches. We might want to ask Conri first though," she added, a little nervous as to how Cambria might react to her words. Kieme didn't want to take control of the situation, that was Conri's job, but if he needed to help Grissom right now, as Kieme hadn't seen Xyra in a while, the least she could do was offer a suggestion that she thoughts might help.

[ Going to jump back with them a little to before the snow started. :D Hope that's okay ]
"Ah-ha! Look, my darling, a vole, just for you!" Dion looked over at her brother, and rolled her eyes. "Goliath, thank you, that's adorable, but really, help me drag the deer we took down? Really, you could pull it yourself if you tried." she commented. It was hardly grown, a little female. Goliath chuckled and grabbed its neck, dropping the vole which Dion picked up once her brother began pulling his own weight. Her frame was hardly larger than the fawn, after all. Her dainty paws barely left prints under her weight, two of them fitting inside her brothers. "Where did Otis go? He was helping drag it a moment ago..." "Oh, you know him. He heard a sound, took off for camp. Always worried about everyone." "Yeah? I wish he was worried about my back... I can't drag a fawn alone." "Speaking of... Dion, I'm not as strong as you think I am." "Oh! Of course." Still holding the vole in her mouth, she grabbed a hold of the deer, and began dragging as well. They hadn't gone far when something cold touched her back, and she shivered, looking up. The sky was black? Her eyes drifted back to her brother, who had white flecks on his black fur. What was... Snow? It was mating season! "Goliath stop!" Her brother nearly fell forward when she let go of the deer, not expecting all the weight to be back on his mouth. "Dion! Are yo trying to pull my teeth out, I-" He sneezed as a white fleck of snow landed on his nose. He lifted his head as well, and for a moment, they both stood staring at the sky. "...We should get back to camp."
----------
Otis had just gotten to camp, snow starting to swirl around him as he ran. A bad omen? HE was certainly the wolf to think that, and as his eyes rested on the scene before him, he felt it was only confirmed. Lanya? A Miroan on Desolei land? "I missed something, didn't I?" he questioned, looking back and forth between the tense wolves, his small voice carrying oddly well, as it always did. Why had the she-wolf he had watched from a distance so long found her way into their territory? Surely shed be attacked for trespassing, or worse, before she left.

(I think we need a new healer for Desolei Pack D:) Cambria looked over at Kieme, realizing that her idea was a pretty good one. "Alright." She said. "Lanya, I suppose you can come into the camp...but stay around me. If you do anything to make me think you might hurt anyone, I'll kill you. Understood?" She didn't wait for an answer. She just padded towards camp, assuming the wolf would follow her. Grissom's grayish-green eyes opened, and it took him a while to realize where he was. How did I get into my den...? He sat up, or at least tried to, but he fell back down, and he realized his neck hurt. Badly. He could smell his blood at this point too, and he began to wonder what was going on. The last thing he could remember was that one, light-colored she-wolf who had killed the deer he'd been chasing. He shook at the thought. She'd been frightening before, but at this point, he was terrified of her. He couldn't remember what she had done, but now Grissom was in pain and in his den, miles away from where he had been before. It must've been bad. --- Iveria was still outside of the dent in the side of the ledge, by the stream. It was cold, and she was sitting there and becoming covered in snow. She looked back at the other wolf, whose name she hadn't even learned. He didn't seem to be awake yet. She shook some of the snow from her pelt and laid down. --- Sabeline was asleep. (Sorry for the fails on Iveria and Sabeline, I just felt like I was leaving them out. :P)

[ Otis could be the new healer, if necessary. ]
Dion and Goliath moved as quickly as they could without abandoning their mediocre kill. With more snow, they'd need all the prey they could get. Goliath- as Dion had suggested he could before- nearly carried it by himself, the two managing to keep up a slow, but steady trot. "This can't be good." Dion mumbled through a mouthful of fur, "More winter, when spring should be here." Goliath said nothing in response to his sister. He knew the horrors of winter, after all, it was winter when he lost his Deaki. The cold and the sickness had been too much that winter, and it had taken his goddess from him... Had nearly taken his sister and himself as well, but they had survived. Why hadn't his Deaki? He shook the thoughts aside and continued the trek back towards camp. It was no matter, the past was past, and now there was a pack that would need him at full strength... Especially his runt sister. His eyes turned towards her. If he had his way, he would lose no one else close to him. "Come now, Dion, it will melt before the moon rises tomorrow, its too late in season for it." he crooned, grinning though a mouthful of deer. Yet there was so much, and his words didn't flow as confidently as he had wished.

Kieme nodded to Cambria, seeing that the wolf had things under control, and slipped away as quietly as she'd come. The snow worried her, but for the most part it was just a nuisance. Annoyed, she batted a paw at the white flakes, trying to blow them away from her face to she could actually see more than just a couple feet ahead of her. It was no good. Kieme could only use one paw at a time, and there had to be a million snowflakes drifting and swirling around per square foot. At least it felt that way.
Kieme snarled as she pushed throuh the snow, it was really starting to get on her nerves now. But right at the moment she wanted to find Conri and see how Grissom was doing. Still growling like the wind, Kieme plodded forward, attempting to distinguish where the Alpha and Beta had gone.
---
Felnar stirred at the cold feeling seeping into his pelt. His eyes snapped open. "Wha-- where am I?" he wondered, frightened.

Conri nudged his Beta. "Grissom! You're awake!" A smile formed on his face and he almost began to prance about. "Oh, my... I wish Xyra was here. Hmmm... it's a good thing that my mother used to be a healer at my old pack..." he said, partially to himself, as he went out to gather herbs and cobwebs. He returned with a very small bundle in his mouth and began to treat the wound. It wasn't a great job but it'd do. "Sorry. I'm not good at healing," the Alpha told Grissom. "So what happened back there? I was without a second-in-command for a long time." Conri had been waiting to hear his explanation for a while now, ever since that annoying wolf came in. Hopefully his packmates had gotten rid of her by now.
Riker grimaced at the thought of the wolf coming back to camp with them, as their Alpha had specifically told them not to bring her back... But Cambria must know what she's doing... Or does she? Urgh. He went to go take position beside Cambria as Amanu trotted back to camp.

Lanya's heart lightened as she walked along with the she-wolf, towards the Desolei camp. As soon as she saw the area, she sprinted as fast as she could towards it. Following only the scent of Grissom, she quickly found a small area, and to her relief, he was awake and hopefully recovering. Sadly, the furball of an Alpha was standing there, apparently talking to him. Lanya didn't let that slow her down though, as she halted just beside the Alpha and said, "Grissom, are you okay? Iveria bit your neck while you were unconcious and your packmates held me up for so long. I would have gotten here sooner if not for..." She glared at the furball beside her and then turned her attention back to Grissom, waiting to see what he would say. ----------------- Zaylek curled up next to the love of his life, Sabeline, and slept the best he had in months...
