Grissom turned to Conri. He would've rather not talked about it, since he was still pretty confused, and frightened, but he knew it was necessary to tell Conri. "I just remember this loner attacking me. It was a white and silver she-wolf, and-"

He stopped as he heard another voice. An unfamilliar one. He turned around and saw a she-wolf. From Miroan Pack. He narrowed his eyes. She was acting like she'd known him forever but he'd never actually even met her. (He was knocked out before he had a chance to notice that Lanya was there.) He couldn't remember much right now, but he knew he didn't know her. He was hurt and confused, and rather irritated that this stranger was coming to check on him. "Okay, look, I don't know you. I don't know how you know my name, or who let you in here, but I don't know you." He said it, growling slightly as he laid his head down on his black paws.

------------------------------

Iveria knew he was scared, but she couldn't help but smile a little at his suprise. "Hey, I told you I'd help you, didn't I? Look at your shoulder. It's...a little better. You passed out and so I dug a hole in the side of that hill and put you in there so you didn't suffocate under the snow when the blizzard hit."

"Blizzard?" Felnar asked hazily, his voice sounding far off and sluggish to him. His shoulder felt cold and stiff. At least it didn't seem to be bleeding anymore and it certainly didn't hurt. He winced slightly as he shifted, he had a bit of a headache. Felnar glanced towards the light streaming through the entrance of the hold this stranger had dug. Why had she helped him? His breath and thoughts were taken away as he finally saw the snow, the cold truth crashing down on him. This was not normal. What the heck is going on? he wondered to himself. Confused, he turned back to the she-wolf and opened his mouth, intent on asking about this strange sight, but instead what came out was "Thanks for helping me. What's your name?"

Otis made his way further into the packs camp, towards where he could smell the Miroan she-wolf, and the high ranking wolves of his pack. He moved close enough to be noticed, but not close enough to get in the way. If his alpha needed him, he'd be there, though he had never been much of a fighter... He had learned a bit about healing in his time.

----------

Dion and Goliath were close to the camp within a few moments, even with the deer. Both were chilled to the bone, but had managed to bring the small deer back... Maybe it wouldn't be too frozen for their pack to eat.
Dions eyes drifted around. Why did everyone look so tense?
"What did we miss?" Goliath questioned before his sister had a chance to open her mouth. His eyes were narrowed, and he caught a faint scent of blood-  familiar, that of a pack mate.
Dion didn't have the chance to stop her brother as he started further into the camp without an answer, his eyes narrowed and head lowered.
Conris wish for the intruder to be removed was likely soon to be followed through.

Conri's face changed from delight to pure anger at the entrance of the annoying she-wolf intruder.  "CAMBRIA!  RIKER!  WHAT DID I TELL YOU?" he growled.  Turning to Lanya, he told her, "Look.  Grissom doesn't know you, see?  You have nothing to do with our pack.  Now quit being a stubborn burden and GET OFF OF MY TERRITORY.  NOBODY WANTS YOU HERE.  YOU DON'T NEED TO BE HERE.  GO.  AWAY."  The Alpha sat beside Grissom and narrowed his furious eyes at Lanya.

Cambria winced as she heard Conri shout her name. Crap. She padded over to him. "Alpha, I'm sorry! I couldn't get her to go and I couldn't kill her, I'm not a murderer!" She said. She was in a submissive stance, and she backed away from him a little bit. "I'm sorry." She repeated.

---

"Iveria." She said, and stood up. "Stay here." She said, and began walking away, then shouted over her shoulder. "I'll be right back!" Before padding off into the woods.

Lanya winced as she saw how submissive Cambria was, but turned back to Grissom, anger surging through her now. "My name is Lanya and I'm a loner now, good thing for you. If I hadn't been there when I was, you'd be dead! I should have just let her kill you, it would have made me better off, but no, I decided to actually help someone else, and you can see how that worked out for me." Deep down, she knew that she wasn't truly mad at him, only upset that he didn't even seem grateful, "I just thought that I would make sure you were okay, and I've done that so..." She spun around and started to stalk out of the Desolei area, thinking about why she had ever, even liked Grissom in the first place. The feeling she had gotten whenever she saw him had, surprisingly, faded into nothing. It was time to find someone else, someone who wouldn't make her feel so horrible all the time...

Goliath reached the area just in time to hear the females ranting, and watch her start to walk off. His eyes narrowed. He had heard his alphas yell at the other wolves, and got at least a partial understanding of what was going on.

"I will escort her off of our land, if thats alright by you, my alpha." he said, making a small, respectful nod and begnning to follow the female without an answer. His brother watched him begin to stalk after the female, and took a few steps after.

"Goliath, brother. I've been out of the snow for a short period, you look chilled to the bone. You should stay here, and let me go instead." Otis suggested, knowing his brother was... Agressive, to say the least, and if the female was telling the truth, and had helped Grissom, she didn't need to be stalked like prey until she left. Goliaths eyes narrowed.

"You can folow as well, Otis, but you're not a fighter, and cannot make her leave if she won't." With that, Goliath went back to walking after the stranger. Otis frowned but decided to follow as well, stepping in his brothers already placed footprints.

Felnar smiled to himself. Iveria, that was an interesting name. He hoped she's be back soon, it was cold out there, and no wolf should be out in the cold for very long in a summer coat. "Hurry back," he murmured quietly to himself.

---

Kieme whipped around. Grissom appeared to be fine, which was a relief. But she didn't think Goliath should be escorting Lanya away by himself, and Otis wasn't a fighter. Perhaps she should go with them? No, with all this snow, Conri didn't need more wolves out of camp than he could spare. Today had been full of enough action.

Uncertain, Kieme wandered around, still extremely, unbelievably annoyed with the snow. It was cold and chilling against her paws, and she shivered. Deep down she hoped she'd manage to find Amanu in this strange world of white, and see what he thought of today's events. Now where the heck was he? Kieme wandered closer and closer to where she thought he might be. "Amanu?" she called quietly, not sure where to walk anymore.

Amanu popped up into Kieme's vision.  "At your service, m'lady," he told her with a smile on his face.  "You should probably get to your den - just like I should - what with all the snowing going on.  Don't want to catch a cold, now do we?  It'd make me sick with worry."  His tail brushed against her shoulder as he began to walk beside her instead of in front of her.  Amanu's fur was nearly covered with tons of flecks of white that were falling from above.

Conri sighed exasparatedly.  "I'm just glad I have one less thing to worry about..." he said, partly to himself, as Otis left.  He slightly worried for his pack member, since he wasn't really someone to retaliate well if Lanya lashed out, but he was already gone.  "Cambria, I guess... it's alright.  Whatever.  At least she's gone now.  I would've probably done the same in your position," the Alpha said.  It was tough work being in charge all the time, especially when things like this happened.

Lanya glanced behind her and saw that two wolves were following her out of the territory. One, a dark tan wolf with a white belly (Otis), caught her eyes instantly. He didn't seem mean like the others of the Desolei pack, but nice and sweet, someone she could talk to... She huffed as focused her gaze back in front of her. What was she thinking? She always liked the wrong wolves, the ones who could never like her back. Soon enough, the edge of the territory ws visible and she crossed it and stood on the other side and turned back agin to the wolves following her. She was about to say something, but thought better of it and plopped down on thw ground. Her special way of showing Desolei that they weren't as in control as they thought.

Goliath stood there for a few moments, confused. The she-wolf smelled of Miroan, why didn't she go back to her packs dens? This weather would kill a wolf on its own. He glanced over at his brother, who looked just as confused, and twice as concerned- not too unusual for his soft hearted brother. A chill raced through him, and he shuddered.

"Otis. I'm heading back. Come on. We'll need to share warmth with the pack." Goliath commented, turning and starting to walk off. Otis watched his brother start off, and glanced over at the female of the other pack.

"I'll follow soon, Goliath." he commented, watching his brothers head shake, as he kept walking. He glanced back ath the Miroan.

"Female." he began, having heard her name before, but not feeling he was on terms to adress her as such, "Surely you know you'll freeze out in the snow... Your coat seems to have shed for the warmth like everyone elses." He sat on the Desolei side of the border, looking her over curiously.

Dion had moved further into camp as well, ignoring her brothers and the stranger as they walked past- they weren't a concern. She was glad to see only GRissom was hurt... He was strong, he'd likely recover- even with the cold.

"My Alpha?" she began, looking over at Conri, "My brothers and I brought brought down a small deer while hunting... Though it may be too frozen to eat now... Is there anything I can do to help?"

If nothing else, she would lay down to help keep the wounded beta warm... Bite wounds were bad, but frostbite was horrid.

"You can call me Lanya, you are? And about the cold," She paused to groom her neck for a moment, "I love the snow and cold doesn't really bother me so..." She couldn't beleive this wolf had stayed behind for even a few moments to make sure she was okay. Then a new thought dawned on her. Maybe he only looked sweet, but he wanted to kill her and protect his pack. She backed up until her flank was pressed up against a tree. No sane wolf would stay out in the snow just to talk to her. He must want to hurt her, right? Or was it possible that for once someone actually cared about her...

"My name is Otis." he replied, making a small bow- almost automatically. He was not a high ranking wolf, and never expected to be, mildness just came natural to him.

"Yes, snow has its beauty, bu-" He stopped as he lifted his head again, seeing the female backed into a tree. He looked behaind him, tail falling and eyes widening. He expected to see a packmate, angry at him for talking to the stranger- or with how alarmed she looked, maybe a bear. There was nothing, and this confused him.

Otis glanced back to the female, stance starting to return to normal, head tilting slightly. He was confused. This defiant wolf seemed afraid of him. He had never had another wolf seem afraid of him before... It was not a sight he liked.

"Er... Did I do something?"

"No its just..." She tried to think a way to say the next part nicely, but abandined the idea, "Why are you still here? Talking to me, I mean?" She relaxed away from the tree and stepped back to her previous position. "I'm sorry about the drama I caused today, with Grissom and all. Its just... nevermind." Her resolve faltered, not because of Grissom, but because she was talking to this new wolf about what happened, and not just keeping it bottled up inside her like usual. "You should probably get back... I don't want to get you in trouble for talking to me." She blinked slowly and looked up into the falling snow, waiting to see what he would do.

Otis lowered his head a bit. She seemed upset, and he didn't want to be a target of frustration... He had been before, and it had proven to himself and most of his pack that he could not defend himself.

"Simple concern." he replied, though slightly hesitatant to show a further sign of weakness, "As I said before, you could freeze out here. Why don't you return to your pack? Grissom seems well enough, and your pack should show you no anger for attacking a Desolei- Not that I'm assuming you did. I'm sure that- Well I mean- Oh bother." He shut himself up, feeling embarassed, expecting the female to snap at him. She had every right after all, especially is she didn't attack his packs Beta.

Maybe he should just go... His ears flicked back, and he glanced behind him. Naturally, his brother was no longer in sight. If he was attacked... Well, his pack would most likely find a corpse.

Lanya smiled a little bit at Otis's embarrassment, "As of a few hours ago, I'm a loner..." She didn't even feel a pang of sadness for the wolves she had left behind, "They had nothing for me there... And I really didn't even come close to hurting Grissom. The strange wolf, Iveria, knocked him unconcious and bit his neck, I just couldn't leave him there." She hastily corrected herself as to not let him know how she felt about Grissom, or how she used to feel only a few moments before, "I mean, no wolf could really just let her kill another wolf, right?" She lowered her head to look at the ground and shook some of the snow from her fur, "I should probably try to find a new den now, somewhere new and away from... everyone. Maybe the mountains or something." She shrugged not really caring about the topic of a new den, just wanting Otis to leave so he didn't get in trouble... or sick from the cold.

"No... Thats not something that can just be allowed to be done." Otis replied. Even a stranger, Otis woud... Try  to intervene, though he would likely end up in the same boat. Had... Had Lanya, done something? He had seen the other pack hunt in the feilds. Had caught most of the names from listening. Miroan was a straong pack, even if their numbers were less than Desolei. He doubted she had done something, she was much too calm.

"You can't travel in this weather." he replied, feeling the cold seping into his thin summer coat, "You'll freeze. I'm not trying to insult your survival skills, but this snow in a summer coat..." He trailed off, eyes going back in the direction of his packs dens. If she couldn't go back to Miroan... They couldn't let her freeze, could they? And another wolf, with the current conditions... Couldn't that only help the pack?

- - - - - - - - - -

Goliath was standing downwind. Not that it mattered much, the blizzard would keep them from smelling him. What was his brother doing? He shook his head. Maybe Dion cuold explain his quiet brother to him. He was so different from the other males. Way more mellow than he could understand.

Standing, the black male started back towards the dens. His brother didn't seem to be in danger from anything but the cold. The female seemed soft. He didn't think she'd attack such a submissive male.

Iveria padded into the woods, looking for prey. Hopefully there'll be some, and they won't all be dead from the cold already. She looked around, brown eyes scanning the woods for any sign of movement, but she didn't see anything. She returned back to the wolf after a while. She realized that she still didn't know what his name was, even though she probably had saved his life. "Hey, um...sir, I never caught your name."
