You might not have met a vampire before...or you might have, but not even known it. When not crazed on bloodlust, they can be quite pleasant to be around, and experts at hiding what they are.
Some break this rule, of course...and actively show humans the true nature of their species, just for the heck of it.
It is generally safer for human beings to remain ignorant of the secret ways of supernaturals such as vampires. But lately, something has emerged that may threaten both worlds.
A demonic creature, a hellspawn, has emerged, with an unshakable desire to kill. What's more, there's a venom in its teeth that is capable of killing even Vampires.
The world is even more dangerous now than ever.

Her eyes are a distinctive and beautiful brown in colour, but they may change colour to blue on occasion. Her hair is long and jet black in colour, ending at her lower back. Her clothing consists of a fashionable black-and-grey strap-sleeved top that somewhat exposes her flat stomach, a white leather belt and pale denim jeans, her shoes being fashionable grey sandals. She also has a pendant around her neck, which is a simple moon-shaped charm which helps her feel more secure.
Personality: Jasmine likes to act braver than she actually is when it comes to her emotions. She's an expert at hiding her feelings from others and only letting them out when she's alone, normally in the form of crying herself to sleep. She's generally quite quiet, and is occasionally prone to a sharp temper, which will sometimes make her lash out at others should she become particularly frustrated. However, underneath all that Jasmine can be quite a sweet girl, using her great intelligence and empathy to help others out. She's also remarkably modest; she's a brilliant artist, especially with drawing, but tends to brush most praise she receives off. One thing in particular that can anger her is anyone who harms or makes fun of her pet cat, and she has a dislike of most vampires.
Powers/Abilities: She has retained her father's Shapeshifting powers, and can take on a variety of forms; her favourite forms are a Black Panther, an Appaloosa horse, a Killer Whale, Utahraptor and Quetzalcoatlus. She also has a unique medical condition called 'White Blood'; her blood has many times the normal number of white blood cells in it, which enhances her immune system and instantly heals the injuries of those who consume it. Unfortunately, the scent of this blood is also quite irresistible, and is addictive once first tasted.
History: While her mother was human, her father was a Shapeshifter. Jasmine Brogan got along very well indeed with her parents and did well wherever she went, but when she was 13 her parents were both killed by a bloodlust-crazed vampire. Alone in the world Jasmine went where she could, having her fair share of encounters with vampires on the way, hence her general dislike of them. One day, though, Dark found her and took pity on her, helping to protect her. The two even had an encounter with the demon that can kill vampires, but managed to evade it.
Pet: Magic, the Black Cat - Magic has the ability to speak.

He's 6'2'' in height, with a muscular and athletic build (and, for those of you who might want to know, he has six-pack abs :3). His hair is black and kept in a modern, somewhat messy style, his skin is pale, and his eyes are a deep luminous crimson. He wears a black shirt and black leather jacket, neither of which he does up and henceforth leaves his chest and abs exposed, with a black leather belt and dark denim jeans, with black converse sneakers. He carries small baby-bottles of milk in his inside jacket pockets to feed his pet kitten, and a watch around one wrist.
Personality: Dark likes to act tougher than he is, trying to be manly as he looks. In reality, though, he isn't nearly as manly as he pretends to be. He likes fashion (he has a minor obsession with wearing only things that match the colour of his hair) and likes to keep himself in pristine condition, he's afraid of spiders, and most notably has a complete obsession with all things cute and fluffy, particularly kittens. If he sees a kitten, he will stop whatever he is doing and cuddle it, not really caring what others think. He also particularly enjoys eating sushi and ramen. He's the sturdy sort of friend who'll do anything for the ones he holds close to his heart, and is very good at controlling his lust for blood. He has managed to stave off his addiction to Jasmine's blood, which she only gives him on occasion to keep him healthy.
Powers/Abilities: He has the enhanced speed and strength of all vampires, but even among vampires he's considered particularly strong. He controls the elements of Fire and Darkness, and is also capable of flight, using the power of darkness to give himself black bat-like wings for short periods of time.
History: He became a vampire a long time ago, but barely changed from his human personality. He made his own way in the world, doing his best to restrain his bloodlust. He found Jasmine some time ago and took pity on her, taking her under his wing as his sister, and helping protect her from the other vampires. She gives him her unique blood sometimes, to help keep his bloodlust levels down and to keep him healthy. More recently, Dark adopted an orphaned and malnourished albino kitten that had been rejected by its mother, and treasures his pet completely.
