[[The way that this rp is playing out just makes me wonder how things would have turn out if it was Nova who was with Rue, and Aria with Ryu. That would be an interesting twist, though I really like how things turned out ^^]]
The moment she sunk her head under the water, the color went from a murky brown, from when she enter the bath, to almost black. It was filthy and disgusting and she couldn't believe that she had been this dirty her whole life. For a brief moment she thought: Maybe this is why the humans are so disgusted with us. But that was merely a quick sly thought, the rest of her mind and energy went to furiously scrubbing her hair and her body with the wash that was provided for her by Ryu. Oh yeah, Ryu...
After Rue was done putting in all her efforts into being clean, she quickly got out of the dirty tub before any of the grim and grime could stick back on her bare body. Rue quickly found the towel that Ryu had left out for her and wrapped her porcelain body in it. Ryu, She thought as she continued to dry herself. He was nothing but nice to her, and she was like a storm on a cloudless blue day. Rue proceeded to walk over to the chair that had Ryu's clothes on them and proceeded to think about Ryu. For a long while she stared the clothes, just thinking about how much she regretted the words she had spoken to Ryu before she had taken a bath. She was sure that she was misunderstanding everything Ryu had been saying, and that she had only been picking up the negative parts she wanted to see in each of his statements. Rue wondered what she was even thinking before. Was I really trying to get under his skin? How shameful...
Rue let out a long, drawn out sigh and slowly slipped Ryu's clothes on. The black shirt that he had laid out was a tad too big, though it was surprisingly comfortable and soft. The dark pants that she pulled up to her hips were falling off. Rue gave a short giggle and her gloomy thoughts dispersed. She had never been in anybody else's clothes and thought it funny that they didn't fit her. She decided to leave the pants alone, there was no way they were going to fit her properly, they were just going to have to hang lose at her hips. The whole process of getting clean was fairly new to Rue, so the soft feel of the clothes against her body was comforting, though her sopping wet hair would beg to differ. She had no idea how to make her stark black hair dry. Rue ran her fingers and shook it a few times before giving up. She set the towel on the chair and left the bathing room.
Rue emerged from the doorway and the gloominess returned. She was slow and quiet about it, for her shame was now itching at the back of her neck. She didn't want to get so worked up about everything he said, it was just that she knew no better. Hate filled words were all she expected life to bear and when she met Ryu her world changed. Rue was unsure whether to apologize to Ryu or not, she knew in the past her apologies weren't very affected, but maybe now would be different? "Ryu..." She spoke his name into the air, her eyes were locked on a speck of dust by her feet. One of her hands were securing the pants Ryu lent her and the other was playing with the neck of the over sized shirt, "Ryu, I am sorry." She took a short pause, a hesitant one at that and said, "Thank you for letting me bathe, I feel so much better now." Her voice was small when she spoke and not once did her dark eyes even tried to bear into his light ones.

{That's be one hell of a thing to see. I mean, Nova is quicker to forgive people. :3 We'll see what happens when they all come together.} Ryu laid out on the grass, oblivious to the girl who just walked out of his little house. He knew who it was, but right now, he didn't even feel like he should acknowledge her. She was... rude to begin with and she didn't seem to be able to control her temper when she got it going. It was rather annoying and he didn't feel like dealing with her attitude right now. He huffed and turned over so he was on his side, looking at Kuma as he chased a butterlfy around the grass. Well, what was grass. It was merely a bunch of squished grass puffs. It looked like a bunch of green cotton. He sighed and closed his eyes. You're one to talk, Ryu. Attitude issues like crazy. There was that stupid voice in his head again. It never let him just sit there. It was always there, always saying something about anything that was going on. The voice just wouldn't shut up! You shouldn't judge her for her attitude if you haven't fixed yours yet. He grabbed his head and shut his eyes tightly. I my flaws! Do you? Do you really? Course I do. Sure... Keep telling yourself that. Ryu snapped his eyes open and sat up quickly, his hood falling off his head when he did that, letting his snow colored hair show. It was flatter than normal, but that didn't matter. He looked up at Rue, who was apologizing to him, it seemed, but he wasn't sure. He couldn't be sure when he had been ignoring her though half of whatever she was doing. He didn't know how to respond without needing her to repeat her words. He sighed heavily and looked up at her with bright green eyes. "Look. I know we don't get along and right now, i don't know what to think at this moment. I mean, i accept your apology. I feel like I should at least do that. Though I'm unsure as to what will happen later because we don't get along much. If this whole ordeal is something to go buy."

After pushing his hand away, Aria awaited his response. The two of them stood in silence for a while; Aria assumed Nova was thinking over what she'd said. As she waited, she dared another peek around the wall of the alley. The village, as far as she could tell, was still as busy as ever. She sighed and slipped back into the cloak of safety the alley provided. Something was going to go wrong; she could feel it. Considering how much she's had to endure and suffer through up until this point, everyday that passed without something happening was pretty amazing. The only upside to all of it was that she was finally getting use to the pain and could almost handle it all. Finally, Nova answered her, though it wasn't until after he'd pulled off her hood and had tied back her hair with the strip of cloth.
"Why-," she started to ask, though stopped herself as Nova started to talk. She listened silently, though as he got into his reasoning, she prepared herself to protest once he was through; but before she could say anything, he cups her face and asks if she was ready to go.
She hesitated before saying anything. Was it worth arguing with him? They both had the same idea, and he did have a point... but she wouldn't be able to live with herself if something happened to him.
"Are you sure?" she whispered, looking deep into his beautifully strange eyes. "If something happens to you..." She took his hand in hers and brought it away from her face, allowing for her to look away. She stared at the ground, thinking it over.
She sighed, coming to a conclusion. She would go, but she wasn't going to be happy about it. And if someone noticed his eyes, she wouldn't let whoever it was get anywhere close to touching him.
"Okay," she finally said, looking up at him once again. "Whenever you're ready."
Once more, she took his hand in hers and she smiled up at him, waiting for him to lead the way.

Nova couldn't have been more sure about his decision to give Aria the cloth so she could tie her hair. Although he wa the one who tied her hair back in the first place. He smiled at her warmly and held her hand in his, not wanting her to feel like he was forcing this on her. He nodded and breathed in deeply, not sure if he could really go out like this. He pulled his hood up, more so over his forehead and eyes. He was supposed to be blind, though he knew that it's be easy for him to get around since he'd studied the people and village for so long.
"Alright my rose. Lets go." He held her hand tightly, more for strength and assurance the anything at this moment. He closed his eyes and searched his brain for a map of the town and mappinout his own route. He walked out of the alleyway and pulled Aria a little, wanting her to be close. He kept his eyes closed and his free hand out. He needed to at least act the part a little. He held his hand out to try and feel people, well, any people walking in front of him. He didn't know if they could get suspicious with both their hoods up. He shrugged and continued walking. "You may need to lead me... Being blind is an issue when I'm leading.."

As she and Nova left the alley, the sound of her own heartbeat clouded her thoughts and assulted her ears. The Sun she'd loved so much was now glaring down on them, working against the pair. Panic and worry coursed through her veins as each moment passed. Something is going to happen. Something is going to happen. Looking over at Nova, with his eyes closed and arm out, she didn't feel any better. Both their lives were dependant on her and she couldn't bear the thought of letting Nova down. She couldn't relax or focus on anything either; at every sound or movement caught from the corner of her eye, Aria would flinch and would flick her eyes over to whatever it was. Though every time, she would end up breathing a sigh of relief and then would immediately feel completely foolish. Although, as they continued on down the crowded streets, weaving between the unsuspecting villagers, she'd come to notice the reassuring feel of Nova's hand around hers and the comfortable closeness they kept between the two of them. After a while, Aria finally relaxed as they continued on without being caught.
"I think it's working," she whispered, leaning in close so that only Nova would hear. "They don't suspect a thing."
As she processed this thought and really let it sink in, Aria could feel her spirits lift and she realized she was actually almost enjoying this. She started smiling at some of the people they passed by; waved at some of the kids that ran past.
Although she soon came to regret it as a girl came to a stop in front of them, causing the pair to stop as well.
"Hi, lady," the girl said, looking up at her.
"Hi there," Aria answered, patting the girl on the head. "Well, see y-"
"Claire?" a woman's voice cut in. "Ah, there you are, hun. I've told you not to wander off," the young woman chided before turned toward Aria. "Oh hello. I'm terribly sorry about Claire. She can get a little er, up-in-your-face, if you know what I mean."
"It's no p-"
"Hey, do I know you? I can't recall seeing you around before. Which is odd seeing as no one can leave or enter our little village and I've lived here all my life..."
Panic hit Aria like a pile a bricks. She was going to find out. Nova might get hurt. As she scrambled to think of something to say, her thoughts blurred and her throat closed up. Her heart was pounding again; so loud it was a miracle no one else could hear. Aria would give anything to escape this moment, to return to their small, safe alley. Her confidence was gone, her spirits floored. The young woman kept watching her, a curious smile on her beautiful face. This woman has never had to deal with real pain, real lonliness, real fear, real hatred; not like Aria has. It wasn't fair. This woman, as friendly as she may seem, could ruin Aria's life in a second. This woman, who didn't even know her, would hate her in an instant. Aria squeezed Nova's hand, needing his support. She could feel angry tears welling up behind her eyes, but tried her hardest to fight them back. If she were to cry in response to a seemingly harmless question, she'd give herself away for sure. More importantly, she'd put Nova into danger. She would not let that happen; but she couldn't find anything to say.

Nova stopped when Aria did. He heard a little girls voice then Aria's then an older woman. Her mom he guessed. He listened to them intently. He could feel Aria squeeze his hand tighter at the woman's question. It was an innocent question, but that question could get them in trouble. They could be putting themselves in danger if their answer wasn't up to the woman's standards. She could get suspicious of the pair and decide to yank their hoods down, since people tended to do that when they couldn't tell each other apart. He bit the inside of his cheek a little before he looked up at the lady, well, more like turned his head in her direction. He was supposed to be blind after all.
He kept his eyes closed and gave the woman a friendly smile. His pearly whites showing and he gave her a small bow of his head to acknowledge her. He felt around for the lady's hand and took it in his free one. He gave he hand a small peck. "I apologize. We have been here all our lives too, but we don't venture out much. The sun is unbearable for someone with pale skin like mine. I can't really see, but I wanted to come out ands he's escorting me." He nodded towards Aria, or he nodded behind him, unsure of where she was. He smiled at the lady again before he pathetic girls head playfully.
"We don't get out much, so maybe that's why you recognize her but don't really know. I mean, if you barely ventured out of the house, not many would really know who you are." He said all that smoothly and with the utmost confidence. He didn't know if they lady would buy it, but he could sure as hell cook up a pretty good lie. He smiled sweet,y at the lady, keeping his eyes closed.

Rue dismissed what Ryu had said. She had felt like they have just been repeating their words since this morning. Their future together was going to be a storm but she knew that there is always some beauty in a storm... or was it before? Maybe after? She wasn't quite sure what the saying was but she was sure that in between their disputes were peaceful times. The moment they lived in now was becoming peaceful, and the vast sky above them and the running earth beneath them made Rue's heart feel light and any snappy comeback she would have said was evaporated under the glaring sun.
Rue walked over to Ryu and sat down a foot or so away from him, giving him space. She also sat a few feet away from the cursed border too. Rue sat in between the two problems at hand, but looked at Ryu and his bright hair for the time being, "Aren't you afraid that one of the villagers might venture out here and catch you with your hood off and burn down your house?" The thought was unpleasant, but faint lines of worry etched her face. She pulled her legs into her chest and hugged them, the soft material of his shirt pressed tighter against her body. She gave a small smile and laid her head on her knees and looked at Ryu. He truly was the voice of reason. Rue pondered on telling him that, but he would probably just dismiss the notion.

Ryu felt his hair and then looked towards the village barrier. He thought about her question. Maybe they could come here and see him. He hasn't really thought about that idea at all. He hadn't been disturbed when he was here for however long he had been here. He looked at the sky again and sighed slightly. He didn't know how to really answer that question because from what he had experienced before, he won't be disturbed. He sat up and let his good fall completely off his head.
"Not really... I've lived in this same hut for a while and I've been outside hood less for my fair share of the days. I haven't been disturbed, but then again. I guess I should be cautious because I'm kind of close to the border. They come around here to think about how it'd be if the barrier wasn't there." He shrugged and looked at Rue before he looked down at himself. He bathed not too long ago, but he should really change his clothes into the other pair he had. His cloak needs dot be changed for sure.

Rue nodded sleepily to Ryu's answer. The dark apparel she was wearing soaked up a great deal of the sun's heat and from the clothes, it warmed her body. She felt like she was enveloped in a warm blanket. The feeling was foreign to her. The only time the warmth of the sun was upon her was early in the mornings when the sun was the weakest. Rue smiled sweetly and her eyes fluttered close. "Is it always this nice in the sun? I feel like I have nothing to worry about and that the world is at utter peace." Her voice was soft and sleepy.
Rue started to imagine a world where the curse was no more and she began to speak what she was dreaming about, "Just imagine, a world where there is no curse. We could hear the melodies of the birds and watch them dance up above. We could watch them and wonder what it would be like to be a bird. We could be laying in actual grass and it would be the softest grass in the world. It could feel like a cloud and it would be the deepest color of emerald Yeah," Rue's voice was growing softer as she spoke, but it was still auditable. "And while we are laying in the green grass and listening to the birds we would close our eyes and then the smell of the sweetest flowers and the purest elements of nature would fill our nostrils..." She let her voice trial off before starting up the conversations again. "Thats why. Ruy that is why we need to break this curse. I want to experiance all of those things." Her voice was full of hopes and dreams. But a vague thought rang in the back of her mind since when was Ryu and I a 'we'?

When Rue started to all like the villagers who hoped the barrier to drop, Ryu closed his eyes. He could picture it all. The grass wouldn't look like squished green marshmallows. The grass would stick up like it was supposed to and it would be lush and super green, maybe greener than his eyes. It would be beautiful. The blades would gently tickle his nose if he had his face to the side and would brush by his ears in the soft breeze when he laid on his back. It would be like he was laying on a large cloud or a fluffy pillow. He sighed happily and when she described the rest, it was a very nice picture. The sky would be cloudless and the brightest shade of blue. It was something he could see so clearly. He could almost hear the birds chirping happily and flying around. The flowers would smell sweet as they do when they first bloom. He could almost smell it all, see it all, and hear everything that could be a possibility. It would be something to look forward to. He wanted it. He raised his hand toward the sky, catching an imaginary butterfly in his hand. He closed his hand and opened his eyes. It was all just a wonderful thought.
He sighed heavily and sadly at the reality. It wasn't something he wanted to face right now. He couldn't get out of this cursed place and he'd die in here too. He sighed and looked at the sky."I guess that's something we gotta do.. I wanna get out of this cursed place and get out of here so that they can't hurt people anymore. I want to be free from all this. I don't want to live in fear of what the day will bring. I want to be able to relax outside in a tree or go into town.. I want this barrier to be gone." He hissed beneath his breath. He hated this. He hated everything that as happening around here. He didn't want to keep living with constant fear of being beaten everyday. He sighed and sat up before he pulled his hood back over his hair. "We can find a way to make sure we finish off this curse somehow. I wanna get out of here."

Through her panicked silence, Aria watched Nova closely as he turned towards the woman, flashed a beautiful smile and bowed his head. Looking back towards the woman, she realized Nova had taken her attention away from Aria. At this realization, so much was lifted off her chest, and in that moment, she knew it was all going to turn out okay; somehow. With newfound relief, Aria loosened up and finally regained focus. Her mind cleared, and she was ready to reinforce anything Nova said. Watching the woman closely, she sees that her eyes soften as Nova kisses her hand and that she was drinking up every word of Nova's excuse. Aria had to supress a giggle at the sight, but shortly after, she didn't have to. As she watched Nova smoothly lie his way out of trouble, a wave a gratitude washed over her; erasing every trace of humor. Thinking it over, she realized Nova saved her life once again. Without him, she would've given herself away and who knows what would've happened after that. Aria squeezes Nova's hand again, but not for support this time; to thank him. She wished his eyes hadn't been closed then. If they weren't, she would've looked into them to make her message clear. But she couldn't right now; not if she wanted to get out alive. So for now, she held his hand tight, nodding along to every word that left his mouth. And as he finished talking, she jumped at the chance to back him up.
"Indeed. You see, I was momentarily embarassed by the fact that we don't get out very much. But seeing as he doesn't seem to mind, then I shouldn't either," she said, smiling at the young woman. "And despite the fact we don't know the two of you very well, it was very nice meeting you both."
Then, Aria lifts her arm and rolls up her sleeve. Making sure neither the young woman or the girl could see her bare arm, Aria feigns panic, "Oh! Is it already 3? I apologize, but we must get going. Good day to you both!"
With that, Aria sets off, urging Nova along, never daring to look back. Weaving between wandering villagers, she tries to avoid attracting attention while getting away from the woman and her child as fast as she could; especially since she wasn't really sure of the time. Stupidstupidstupid. Why did you have to mention a time? Aria's face burned from embarassment and anger. She hoped it wasn't too obvious to those passing by.
Finally, as they turned a corner, Aria dared to look back. They weren't being followed. Breathing a sigh of relief, Aria turns to face Nova. Gently, she caresses Nova's pale cheek with her hand.
"Thank you," she whispers. "I don't know what I would've done without you."
Without moving her hand, Aria turns her head to survey the area. To her surprise, she'd managed to lead the two of them right to the village center. There, a mere few metres away, stood the tree.

Nova smiled and let himself be carted away by Aria. She clutched his hand tighter and he giggled. He knew she would slip up something and it just happened to be the time of day. That's just too funny to think about. He smiled from under his hood and kept his eyes closed, not wanting to chance anything right now. He picked his head up a bit though, wanting his hood farther back so he could take a peek, just a small crack of his eye. He opened his eye just a little, seeing the bright light actually hurt his eyes for a second before he could make out the blurry outline of the tree.
"Hmm... Don't worry about it. If you had been caught, I would have been too because I don't plan on letting you get hurt today. Everybody deserved a day where they go unscathed."
He smiled at her and shut his eyes so they were completely closed again. He didn't wanna get them in trouble. He bit his lip a little, unsure of what they should do. He held his hands out in front of him and started to walk towards the tree. If he was going to get there, he might as well try to now. If he got caught, well, Aria was a fast runner, yes? He breathed in deeply and a little shakily before he started to walk closer and closer to the tree. God he hoped this wouldn't hurt if someone grabbed him.

The passion in his voice was warming and comforting to her, and she found herself smiling as he ranted about getting out of this place. It was a little strange, Ryu's ranting, because it wasn't towards her, and she wasn't coming up with a comeback to defend her ideas. This was the peace moment Rue was thinking about not too long ago, were they are on the same page and agree on something. That idea brought a bigger smile to Rue's sunbathing face.
Her eyes fluttered open, adjusting to the sun momentarily before settling her eyes on Ryu. His white hair was now covered by the wretched hood Rue hated so much, personally, but knew it was protection. She let out a small sigh and her smile drooped a tad bit. Impulsive and in the moment, Rue crawled over to Ryu and sat right next to him. She turned her face a tad towards his and whispered "What do you suppose we do?" The smile still played on her face as she spoke as if they were trading secrets, "It seems as if the only logical move would be to visit the apple tree," She exaggerated her gesture of looking around for anyone who may be trying to steal their plan, and leaned in a bit closer, "Is that what we should do Ryu? In broad daylight?" The smile was still plastered on Rue's face, however, the realization of what she had just done hit her. She pulled her face away from Ryu's and sat perfectly still, now looking at the tee shirt she was wearing as her face turned a shade of pink. She was all for going to seek out the apple tree in broad daylight.

Ryu chuckled at her enthusiasm to get this thing done as soon as possible. He knew she could pass off as human, but what about himself? Should be risk being caught I'm order to save the very beings that decide to beat him when they see him outside. He scrunched up his nose like he was thinking really hard before he popped up off the grass, mainly just to sit up. He looked at Rue and nodded. "Hey, why not. It's not like I've got anything else to do and if you keep your eyes just a bit closed, you can pass for human. Ya know, sleepy looking. I just gotta keep my hood up."

Looking at the tree, Aria knew there was definitely something weird about it; she could feel it. The feeling was new and strange. Only when she heard Nova's voice did she realize she'd been staring at the tree in an awestriken trance. Even then she had a hard time focusing on his words. She felt a really weird connection with the odd tree, but she assumed it was because she'd never been around any living foliage. Way past the village border, Aria could spot trees in the distance, but never has she ever been so close to an actual tree. She had to fight the urge to run up to it and throw her arms around the thick trunk. She knew she couldn't from the way everyone avoided it; it would bring too much attention to herself. She would put Nova in danger.
Turning over to Nova, she opens her mouth to ask him what they were going to do. But before she brought herself to speak, she saw him take a small, cautious step forward. Then another. She smiled. It's as if he'd read her mind. Aria tried to appear casual as the two made their way closer to the tree; which proved to be harder than it could've been, seeing as Aria was nearly bursting with excitement.
Trying to take her mind off the tree, Aria closes her eyes and tilts her face to the sky, drinking in the warm sunlight. Aria remembered doing this a lot when she was much younger, though had stopped once she'd realized how vulnerable it made her. But now, in this moment, she felt completely safe as she felt the weight and warmth of Nova's hand in hers. It was amazing how far they'd come in a few hours.
Opening up her eyes once again, she looks at the tree once more. The strange feeling she had was still with her. It's effect more pronounced when she looked at it. And the feeling intensified as they stepped closer and closer. Was that why Nova was moving so cautiously? Did he feel it too? Glancing over at Nova, she can't read his ex[injection]pression; not with his hood up. She sighed. She wished everyone else would just go away; leave the two of them alone. She didn't need them. With Nova alone she could thrive and live happily. Everyone else only caused them pain and despair. Nova was different. Nova was special.

[[Since Nova and Aria are getting closer and closer to the tree and Rue and Ryu are on their way, I just wanted to remind you guys that the dryad hybrids can hear the the words of nature, though it looks like you guys don't need the reminder ^^]]
Out in nature, the two dryad's seemed to be good-humored. It was as if the sun burned the darkness away from their hearts and mind and surged determination through their veins. The two of them seemed changed when not confined in Ryu's house. For Ryu seemed to go back to the man he was when the sun was at its weakest, and Rue seemed to be less hostile towards her companion when embarrassed. Now, strangely, the two were on the same terms.
Rue stood up and then turned so she was facing Ryu. She held out a hand to him and offered him a small smile, "Then it is settled," she said, "To seek out the tree that is death's time and try to get some insight on how to end this curse." She spoke unnecessary words, but it made her feel like their adventure was fool proof. She sighed away her excitement for a brief moment and, very quietly, said under her breath, "And once it is broken, you wont ever have to wear that hood again." She doubt that Ryu could hear her, so her face didn't take on a shade of embarrassment.

Nova giggled and smiled, wanting to be closer to the tree. It seemed different from normal and it seemed like it was whispering to him. Now just the tree, but maybe so sing about the tree. The wind rustling the leaves seemed to make them rub together in a way that seemed to create a whisper. It wasn't just a whisper though. He felt like this tree was definitely different from all the other trees and plants around the village, though many were dead or dying and it kind of annoyed Nova. The poor plants dying. He dared to open his eyes. Nobody seemed to care and he looked at the tree, keeping his hood low on his face so that his eyes were at least darker than they were.
He looked at the tree and it was at least still alive. The bark was brown and looked like it was dripping some sap.hewanted to reach out and touch the sticky substance, but he thought that was a bad idea. He shrugged slightly and then looked at the tree's leaves. They were brilliantly green and seemed to be full of life. The fruit it was bearing seemed ripe for the picking, though he couldn't see so e were shriveling up and dying. Others were nothing but the bare minimum with a flower bud in the middle. The fruit never falls. Nova nodded in understanding with what the old woman was telling him when he asked her about it.
"So... This tree.. Is the center of the curse on this village. I don't understand why it's like this. I mean, it's a normal tree."
He shut his eyes, making sure to still appear as though. Be was blind. He reached out and touched the tree's bark. It was full of life and he could feel the tree's breathing. It felt more alive than it really was. It was a new sensation and it felt so good. The tree was alive and even seemed to be doing much better than all the other smaller plants in the dying village. He smiled and wanted to just hug the trees thick trunk, but he decided that would bring attention to himself and they were probably attracting attention by how they were by the tree anyways. He giggled childishly. The tree felt like it was somehow part of him.

He heard her last comment, unsure if he should be flattered, or a bit weirded out. She was usually commenting about his hair and how apparently, she hated when he kept his hood on. He pulled the hood over his hair more, not wanting to take any risks at the moment. He looked at the extended hand for a little bit before he raised his own to grasp hers and hoisted himself off the grassy earth. He thought this was a start. They could at least get along for a little and that was saying something considering their whole morning had been filled with nothing but fights and spats. He looked down at Kuma, who ran over to him and pawed at his pants,
"Well, we should head over. I don't think the town should be super super busy at this moment. They may considering its a bit past the afternoon. We have no time to lose I suppose."
He scoped up his cat and put the creature on his shoulder where the cat proceeded to get situated. The cat sat on his shoulder, looking perfectly balanced and at home right there. Ryu nodded and headed towards the village square, knowing where the tree was wait even seeing the square already. He stopped after a few steps and looked back at Rue.
"You coming?"

"You coming?"
When Ryu spoke those words earlier this morning, Rue was reluctant to go with him but now, now she was willing. Now she was about to go with this boy into the heart of the danger, and deep, deep down inside, she knew that she wouldn't let anyone hurt him. Despite all their disagreements, Rue was very fond of Ryu, though her stubbornness wouldn't allow her to realize how fond she actually was.
Just like the event that took place just this morning, Rue spun on her heels and walked over to where Ryu was. "Ready!" She said bearing a smile and looking at Ryu, but only for a short time before her eyes wandered towards Kuma. He looked quite quaint, perched on Ryu's shoulder and Rue wondered if the black cat would help them blend in more or less. However, even though it should matter whether this cat was endangering their lives or not, Rue didn't mind for she knew that Kuma kept Ryu calm, and if, by any means, they should start to get into an argument at the heart of the town, at least Ryu would have some comfort. She smiled at the cat and stroked his ears a few times before her eyes had to stay glued on the ground, then she started to walk right along side Ryu.
