Silent cocked an eyebrow at the girl near them. He raised his head to the heavens, glaring at the sky. "Why.... is everybody following me today?" he growled. His mark started to burn adn sweat broke oout on his forehead. He growle din pain and his hand clamped tightly on his mark. He bit his lip, drawing blood, to distrat his mind from the burning pain.

"I was not following you", Ariana said haughtily, "In fact, I was trying to relax when I ran into you two." Her eyes softened as she noticed the boy was in pain. His hand was firm on some sort of mark. He was biting his lip so hard blood trickled from it. She smelled it and froze. Blood, the food of her species. But it smelled sour, tainted. What was this strange boy's species? Nothing she'd ever encountered before. "You okay?", she asked him, easily keeping her fangs concealed. Long ago she had learned to control her thirst, containing it to the animal species.

Silent winced again, then very slowly, he let go of his mark. "No. I'm being hunted. And it's ticking me off...." he growled. He swiped the blood away, eyeing Ariana warily. "Your a vampire he said simply.He looked calm, if slightly pained, on the outside. but inside, his mind was working furiously. He needed help. He couldn't reahc the Cyphers if he was alone. he wouldn't be able to fight back from the military alone. He considered the amount of people that would be helpful, and came up with the number 10. A vampire would be extremely helpful. Excelled hearing, sight, smell, and taste, tehy would be able to react faster to an attack than a human. A shape shifter even better, they would be able to watch from the sky, or from the water. The mark tingled on his right shoulder and he licked a drop of blood off his chin. He flexed his figners.

"Who would hunt you? And why?" Ariana asked the strange boy, smiling slightly when he pointed out that she was a vampire. "Yes, I am regretfully a creature of that species, but do not fear me, I do not drink the blood of intelligent beings, only animals. And no shifters either, when their in animal forme." She winked at the girl playfully."Name's Ariana."

Silent nodded slightly. He eyed her warily though. "I'm hunted for what I know. I'm hunted by those who think they are higher than me. I will say no more." he said in a tight voice. "I'm not fearful of vampires, for I have seen much much worse. " He said, his voice dry with amusement.

I am deeply sorry for you if things more horrid than the majority of my species have crossed your path. I have seen horrible things, but so fart I've seen nothing worse than a fully-grown male vampire in bloodlust."

Silent grew even more grim. "Ever heard of a nightmare? Their ten times worse than a vampire and relish in slow, bloody, and painful deaths. Their capable of keepinga creature alive, even when their wounds are so serious, they should be past death. I have seen a Nightmare, and I have seen a Nightmare kill." He said grimmly. He rubebd his wrist, where several scars crisscrossed upwards to his elbow. As if something had slowly carved X's into his arm.

"I was trying to save me friend when the Nightmare grabbed my wrist and tried to....." he paused, realizing what he was about to say. it would probably make her sick to hear it, so he just adverted his eyes and shut up. "My fgriend died." he said, his voice cold and hard.
