Silent grimaced and withdrew his hand. He rubbed his chin thoughtfully, then winced. His hand unconciously went to his right shoulder. he squeezed it, then his hand dropepd to his side. he sniffed the air slightly. "I need to start running agian soon....." he muttered to himself, staring at the sun that was slowly sinking.

"Have they found you?" Ariana asked, looking worried, "Or are they still searching?" She turned back to Silent and sighed. "Do you need someone to help you protect yourself from whatever is hunting you? It seems to me as if you are being pursued by some pretty shady characters." ((It's okay. A few years back, one of my characters was swallowed whole by a dragon, pulled back out than revealed to be mute for no apparent reason, and than shot in the back. He slowly bled to death. His girlfriend whom he was going t propose to went crazy and fell in love with the bad-guy-turned good. o.O; This was something I was writing by myself, before I even found Res. It was 180 pages long, yet it sucked horribly. )) |

"I'm sorry", Ariana said softly, "I didn't mean it like that... I was offering you my servives for anything. Covering your tracks, stuff like that. Vampires excell at it. I should have worded it differently. I can help you with whatever you need aid in, and than I can leave you whenever you wish. THAT is what I meant to say." She smiled slightly, watching as the sun fell. The sun did not kill her as most would think, but it did give her a headache and made her blood boil and itch. (This was not my concept, I just wanted to give an excue for why she was able to be outside in the daytime. XD Credit for this goes completely to Morgain. =) ) She was glad that it was finally over so she could relax and be calm.

"Alright than", Ariana said softly, "I guess we should get going now, before they find you." She saw the scar that Silent had originally been rubbing on his neck and her heart felt even heavier. "I'm not even going to ask where he got that", she decided, wondering how it hadn't killed him. Although he obviously wasn't human, she as.sumed that whatever species he belonged to still had a weak spot the. Most did. She would ask him these things later. They needed to focus on what was happening right now, and not on the past.
