Alik heard a few rustling leaves from a tree a bit aways away. "you'd better hide" he said to Ash with the cigarette in his mouth as he smelt a female vampire and a male edge closer towards them.

Demyan and his troop continued to search, their eyes glowing brightly as they skimmed the trees and watched the bushes carefully searching for any movement. No one made a sound they were all too busy listening and using their senses.

Drakine froze as she accidentally snapped a fallen twig. Mentally cursing herself, she moved her foot. Riiva, who was sensible enough to remain quiet, was perched on her right shoulder. The raven's tail feathers were fanned to show how displeased she was with this arrangement.

Riiva tapped her beak against Drakine's right temple and the girl cursed softly. Something was coming. Maybe she could climb a tree? Naw; too noisey. Sit and wait? She'd be dead before she knew it. Run? Aw, hell yes. Narrowing her black eyes, she moved into an offensive stance before bolting off. Riiva had to wing herself off the girl's shoulder and fly behind her. And all the while, Drakine was thinking; Ninja. Think like a ninja. Silent. And she also amused herself by suddenly thinking of the anime ninjas she watched when she was a kid. With their funky jutsus and their world. A slight smile tugged at the corner's of her mouth.

Drakine glanced behind her when she heard faint footfalls give chase. Great. Just peachy. Growling deep in her chest, she slid to a stop and quickly hid between a tree and a prickly bush. Since running wasn't helping, maybe she could ambush them when she got them alone. Crouching in an defensive way, she waited for somebody -- or something -- to show.

Drakine moved backwards slightly when she felt Demyan's glowing eyes on her hiding spot. Clear of the bush and fully hidden by the trunk of the tree, she stood up and stalked around the tree being careful on where she placed her feet. Not making one sound. Her black eyes narrowed as she sighted the vampire. A few years older than herself, he was handsome... in a deadly "I'll suck your blood if you look at me the wrong way" kind of way. Shaking her head to clear her mind of that thought, she moved into a stands in which she could attack from. But she didn't move just yet.

Demyan sighed as nothing came out. He scratched the back of his head and looked at the ground what now? he thought as he looked around. He froze when the sky was lighter than it had been a few moments ago. Dawn. He cursed and looked back at the others who were already heading back thinking he had caught the human and brought her to the tower already. He cursed as he left his sun-protective mask with them. He looked around franticly as he looked for a place to hide from the sun. He saw a few feet away a hollowed-out tree trunk. He quickly ran over to it and slid in. Sighing with relief when he was in the shadows once again.

Alik dropped his cigarette at the sight of dawn. "oh crap" he said as he started to jog toward his house that was outside of the forest. He hoped Demyan was already home, or at least protected fromt he sun. Since he knew Demyan's worst fear was getting burned by the sun..again.

Drakine watched with slight hesitation as Demyan glanced around and she backed up slightly. When the vamp ran, she narrowed her eyes and shrugged when she realized dawn was approaching. With a tired sigh, she leaned against the tree and the bark crackled slightly under her weight. "Hopefully, I can get some sleep around here," she muttered as she pushed herself off the tree. Lightly patting her stomach, sides, and back, her eyes narrowed more as she realized she dropped her book. "Great." That one word was filled with disappointment and anger. 

Riiva came dowm from where ever she hidden and landed on Drakine's shoulder as the girl wearily walked out from the shadow of the tree. The raven lightly nibbled the girl's earlobe. With a faint smile, she shrugged the shoulder Riiva was on and the raven stopped. "Come on, Riiva, let's go find someplace safe and void of any bloodsuckers," Drakine said to her raven as she started to walk off at a slow pace. Unknowingly, she walked pas-sed Demyan's hiding spot.

Drakine stopped when she heard a scream. Her first instinct was to find whoever utter it. But her instinct to sleep overruled her first and she shrugged the shoulder that Riiva was not on. Practically asleep on her feet, she just stood there. Completely unaware of the world around her.

Demyan turned his head at the human and froze. Im gonna die,i gotta get away from them or they'll kill me! He thought franticly as he crawled away from her in the shadows of the bushes. Stoping where there was a gap in between the bushes. He looked around and saw another human by a tree. He froze and didn't move an inch hoping she hadn't heard him scrambling.

Alik quickly ran in the door just making it before the sun's rays could reach his house. He closed the door quickly and the lights came on as he did. He sighed and rubbed his head. He felt tired as ever and sat on the couch. He began to dose off at the silence of the house.
