"NO!" Rarity cried, hugging four beautiful custom gowns close to her chest. Quickly, she ran behind a cabinet, peering out with one eye. In front of her stood... her? As the double-her turned around, Rarity could see that her beautiful cutie mark- that gorgeous one with three sparkling diamonds on her right flank- was missing. "Imposter!" she cried, stepping out. Three bug-like creatures crawled out of the shadows, hissing and spitting as they and the imposter-her encircled her. "Please, let me- ahhhh!" Rarity screamed as they attacked. It took no more than a couple seconds, and the changelings lept back off with menacing smiles. Before them lay Rarity's broken body- mangled and destroyed. "Need more." one of them hissed, before fluttering out a window and back into Ponyville.
The dark ages have come. Changelings swarm every street, more evil and love-hungry than before. Most every-pony is dead, mangled and eaten by the changelings. Queen Chrysalis rules over Equestria- even Princess Celestia is captured. She may be dead, all of them may. But the only ponies who have stayed alive don't come out of hiding. To find out would be a suicide mission.
But it is time to take back Ponyville, and Equestria after that.
The surviving ponies must unite to defeat the changelings.
