"Gack!" Nyx shouted, surprised by Jordin's sudden appearance. He turned intangible again and began sinking into the floor. He gasped and tried to claw his way out of the floor. Eventually, he stopped sinking, but he was still halfway submerged into the floor. "Err, hi," he said, giving Jordin an embarras-sed look before turning back to Miranda. "Oh, and my name's Nyx, after the Goddess of Night." He looked rather embarras-sed to be named after a goddess.

"Yesss!" Nyx hissed, clawing at the floor again. His powers had proven rather difficult to control but nothing this extreme had happened before. "Well," he said nervously to Miranda. "This is the first time this has happened, so yeah, a bit embaras-sed." He laughed nervously.

At Miranda's touch Nyx turned tangible again and was able to pull himself out of the floor. He scrambled a bit aways and turned solid again. "Whew! THat was close! I could of sunk to the other end of the earth!" Suddenly it dawned on him. He could go through the floors! He got on all fours and glared down at the floor. Now how could he work this to his advantage?

Jordin nodded. "And I want to help." Jordin said, walking a bit down the hall where the door to the kitchen was locked. She pressed her ear to the metal and listened intently. Nothin but the hum of the fridge. "No sceientists in side." She reported. PRessing her ear to another door to her right, she heard light snoring. {{Now, I really have to go. See you later!}}

Nyx tapped the floor experimentally. before following Jordin. "There's an easier way." He closed his eyes and focused. Soon enough he sunk completely under the floor. He reached his hand back above to wave to them that he was ok, before moving over and climbing out of the kitchen floor. He grabbed some fruit then went back up the way he came. His head reappeared beside Jordin and he clawed his way out of the floor. "Heh, I'm starting to get the hang of this," he said, pulling his foot out of the floor and sitting down, inspecting his stolen goods. (( Bai! )) |
