I was once like you. A nonbeliever. I never thought that there was a world outside of our little island that could shelter such terrifing yet mystifying creatures. There were stories, old tales that told of the brave dragons and their riders who held magic powers, each dragon species differed. I never believed them. Why would I? They are just myths. That all changed when I met them. Those kids who had different colored blood than us. The teachers and our parents, and just about any adult, told us that each blood color held a personality. That if you had blue blood you were shy, red-a bully, and so on. There was a time when I believed the adults without questions, now I question every word they say. I was nice to them but I never made friends with them. If I did I would be called a traitor by those with red, normal blood. One day we were called one by one into the nurses office so she could take blood samples. Most to this day don't know what for, except me. the next day the kids with different colored blood were gone, leaving the rest to ponder if they ever existed. A couple of the normal bloods were gone too. The type of blood a kid has tells if he/she is a dragon rider or not. If you have blue blood, your dragon is blue and so on. If a child has red blood they have to be tested to see if it contains magic since mortals have the same color blood as riders with red dragons do. Each color of a dragon has different powers that are listed below. Once a kid with magic blood is found they are sent away to Tyrsiol, a huge island west of their own, to live amongst their kind. red- fire

purple- spirits taken
white- singer
Orange- knowlege taken
Pink- emotions taken
Silver- immataions taken
black- allusions taken

((sure Tld! ps: white is still open. I think it is becuase I didn't explain. Singers have the power to sing songs that can hypnotize, put to sleep, and kill. It depends on the melody and for how long they sing for what it does to the enemies. They can target up to ten people at a time.

After their visit to the nurse's office, Ven and Van where guided to a small boat. There were already some children in the boat, and there was still more yet to come. The twins didn't reconize anyone there, they never had cla.sses with any of them. Ven sighed, then reluctantly followed his older brother into the tiny ship.
There was barely enough room to lay down, so the boys just sat on the floor. The captain of the ship said it was a long trip to Tyrsiol and they were hoping to sleep on the way there, however, they doubted they would in the cramped area.
