You are what the book Uglies, a really old book I might add, would call a "Natural Pretty."" He chuckeled, mostly at his lame attempt of flirting.

They were stained and old and crumbly, but he liked them. They were 100 years old. Vans. That company died, but his parents had their parent's. Converse put them out of business.

Chris blushed a little, but not enough for her tell the difference, he hoped. "I agree. My apperence doesn't matter. But, everything is gonna change. I just wish we could prove this stupid legend wrong." Chris clutched his now throbbing arm. "Man, its getting worse." He looked around. "Well at least I haven't fainted yet like that kid." He nodded to a boy who had fallen and was being carried to a car by what looked like 3 younger siblings.

Chris's eyes were just getting darker. Then, the worst thing happened. He blacked out. He hit the ground with a bang, but he didn't get hurt. Then, you could see the changes that were starting, he was growing slowly, his hair getting longer, different colors... But very very slowly...

"Aww, why now?!" Luna glared down at him. She wasn't strong enough to move him, so she just took a seat next to him. She waited patiently, not even noticing the slow changing. Her own eyes were now a dull pink, one that was slowly brightening.
