Nevid and Savannah walked along, chatting. Then, Nevid watched the guy tackle Sara, and his heart raced. He felt his temper simmer, and was about to go off. Then he calmed, remembering for Sara got weirder out when he appeared out of nowhere. She thought he was following her, so he tried his best to shrug her off. Which was impossible, but.

Savannah talked to Nevid, then told him bye as she walked the other way. She loved this city. The glow of lights, the hum of people, the steady tread of feet. She dug through her purse, yanking out her iPod. Blasting Disturbed, she closed her eyes, nodding her head along to the music. Silly her, she slammed into some guy, tall and blonde, his hair in a ponytail. Glaring, she brushed herself off, then yelled, " Watch where you are going! Even if I wasn't, you should have been!"

"Um, sorry. That was my fault, Miss." Dessen smiled at Savannah. Fawn frowned at the arrogant girl. Dessen's eyes looked down at her due to Savannah being a few inches shorter than him.

Fawn pulled a strand of hair behind her ear and huffed. She truly hated mortals, they were so arrogant and imperfect.

"Dessen," he let out another smile. "Yours?" He pulled some hair out of his eyes. "This is Fawn." He pointed at Fawn, making her face turn red. He wrapped his arm around her. He didn't like her, they were simply like siblings.

"Savannah. Hey Fawn." She told them, then turned back around and continued walking, humming a song as she walked. She had already forgotten everything, she just thought she really needed to go shopping sometime soon, she wanted more heels. She walked, and finally arrived to where her apartment was.

Dessen looked at her frustrated. "She knows." He knew she knew about faeries.

"How do you know?" Fawn couldn't tell.

"She would've stared more if she didn't know." Most humans had the nasty habit of staring at Dessen, that's what made him have a short fuse.

"Hmph." Fawn turned around and walked towards her apartment. "You don't have anywhere to stay do you?"

"Nope." Dessen preferred to roam alone.

"Stay with me tonight."

"Whatever suits you." They walked about a half a mile down the street, avoiding the mesmerized stares of the mortals. They arrived at a rather nice apartment complex and entered Fawn's apartment.

Savannah had just reached her apartment, when she noticed a girl sitting on the steps, looking annoyed and tired. She walked over to her, and recognized the as Sara, the girl Nevid loved. She stopped, then said, "Hey. You're Sara, right?"
