Code sensed Blood's distasted at the turn of events. It caused him to shuffle his feet for a few moments before looking up at Silthe. He had been bluffing about killing her and whether she knew it or not, she had taken the bluff. He wasn't stupid. Most of what Silthe had said had been true and Code really didn't feel like facing off against the most powerful vampire. He pressed the cigarette to his lips, trying to think of a new way to approach the situation. He felt cornered. Allowing her to leave could put them as well as other humans at risk and killing her could get them killed. It was a difficult decision. 

"If you want to die so badly, maybe I should let you live," he said, trying to buy himself more time to think, "I can't think of anything worse than living in a place you want so desperately to leave." 

Silthe shrugged. "But what are you going to do with Silthe? Surely you wont let her go." She teased.

Blood glanced at a spark of color in the corner of her eye. A tennis ball...She picked it up and rolled it around in her hand, deciding to keep herself busy with it while Code decided what to do with Silthe. She bounced it off the floor, catching it easily. Half heartedly, she thought about whether or not Code would kill Silthe. Most likely not, if what Silthe had said about the Old Tainted One. But if Code didn't kill her, would he release her? Surely not. Tainted vampires are a danger to humans and vampire alike. But what else could he do? If he couldn't kill her or release her?

Silthe weighed her options. Would being tested on hurt? No, it couldn't. She nodded. "Silthe will come quietly." She said.

Blood giggled quietly at Code's annoyance. Holding the tennis ball in hand, she turned to stare at Silthe. Quietly? Ha. She snorted. If the old vampire knew just how much testing owuld actually hurt, she would kick and scream as much as she could.

Code blinked at Silthe's cooperation. He hadn't really expected her to come quietly. It was just something you said. He frowned. "Well, alright then..." He backed away from her towards the counter, not taking his eyes off her in case she tried something. Still watching her closely, he pulled out an old-fashion telephone and dialed a number. He waited for a few seconds before he heard a click and a groggy "Wadda ya want?" on the other end of the line. 

"Umm, hey Jason, I have someone you might want to meet," Code said.

There was a pause before Jason answered. "I'll be right there." A click and beeping, signalling that Jason had hung up.

Code hung up as well and stared back up at Silthe. "Well, he's on his way." he said.

Code leaned over the counter. It would only take Jason a few minutes to get to the shop, he less than a mile away, but the minutes seemed to stretch as he stared at Silthe. Absentmindedly, he put out his cigarette in an ashtray on the counter, propping his head up with his hand in a bored manner. 

Suddenly the door burst open and a silver-haired man stormed in, looking like he got dressed in the dark. His button up shirt was messed up and his hair was still tousled from sleep. "Do you realize that it's two-thirty in the morning and I have work tomorrow?" he demanded, glaring at Code. "Now what's so important?!"

Code pointed to Silthe nonchalantly.

"Oh..." Jason muttered, clearly even more annoyed. 

During the wait, Blood had returned back to her corner, once again sitting with her knees pulled up to her chest and her chin resting on her knees. She pulled on the loose threads of her hoodie. When the silver-haired man entered, she lifted her head and watched him with curiousity in her silver eyes.

Silthe blinked. So this was the man who was supposed to test on her.

Jason looked around the room with his right eye. It was the only eye he still had since his left eye had been gouged out by a vampire. He looked from Code, to Silthe, and then to Blood. "I think you should have said 'someones' seeing as there's two of them." he said with an annoyed tone. "Are two vampires more than you can handle?"

Code shrugged off Jason's mistake. "Jason, this is Silthe and Blood," he introduced, pointing to them in turn. "Blood is my newborn so I'd appreciate it if you didn't mess with her. Silthe here is a Tainted Vampire and--"

Jason waved him off, walking over to Silthe and staring down at her. "A Tainted?" he muttered, more to himself than anyone else, "An old one too. So that means you have a chip? That's why I was called out here?" he chuckled, "Of course, so that's why he didn't kill you." He stopped his mumbling for a moment to look back up at Blood. "It's nice to meet you, by the way." he saidm calmly.

"Nice to meet you too." Blood said. She really didn't like the term 'newborn' but she supposed she couldn't do anything about it. Growling to herself, she stared up at the ceiling and watched the meaningless dreams of the various sleeping bugs.  

Silthe stared up at the ex-hunter. She sighed. "Silthe hears that you will test on her. She wonders if it will hurt. She wonders if she will die." She said.

(( I dunno. I just write a lot, lol. On another RP I think someone was saying I was trying to kill their eyes from a long post I did XD ))

Jason frowned. "Not too talkative is she?" He muttered, looking at Blood. She must be rather new and still trying to get used to life as a vampire. He couldn't help but shoot a glare at Code. Code wasn't the type to create newborns so Jason found it odd that he would do so now. Code only shrugged at his look, so Jason turned his attention back to Silthe. He'd never met a Tainted one, much less exchanged words so it felt odd to do so now. "Well, since Code hasn't killed you, it means I probably will too. The tests should be painless, also." he answered. He hated the way Code just shoved stuff on him and expected him to do it. What's worse was Jason always did. 

{{*yawns* Yeah. Oh well, might as well get started on re-writing my book. Maybe writing will help me post longer.}}

Blood glared sidelong glare at Jason. She stood up and walked to the door. "Well, have fun with your little tests. I'm going out for a walk. Probably to the beach." She said, walking out and slaming the door behind her. She wondered whether or not to try to escape. Probably not the best idea since Code and Jason could catch up with her easily once they found out. She sighed, walking in the direction of the beach. As she walked, she watched the moon let the first rays of the sun take over the sky. As soon as the top of the sun appeared over the edge of the trees, a pain throbbed in the back of her head. She ignored it at first but it grew as the sun came up more and more.

Silthe nodded. She wouldn't mind tests. Not at all. {{Ugh. Fail.}}

Jason watched Blood leave, a curious ex
pression on his face. "You're just going to let her go?" he asked, giving Code an odd look. He hadn't noticed her wearing a ring, so that meant she could be seriously hurt if she was still out when the sun came up.

Code shrugged, looking down at the floor. It probably wasn't the best idea. She could get jumped by an human or vampire, or get lost, or stay out too long, or anything else. But it wasn't like he wanted to stop her. He didn't want her being mad at him, which she probably already was anyways.

After a while, both were staring out the window at the first hints of dawn. Equally nervous expressions were carved on their faces.

A few minutes later, Jason spoke. "I'm going out to look for her, give me the ring." Code nodded and fished it out of his pocket, placing it in the Ex-Hunter's outstretched palm. Jason looked at it. It had a simple thick silver band and a rather larger cut sapphire with an S carved into it. "Well, I'm off" Jason said, walking out of the store and heading down to the beach to look for Blood.

Blood sat at the edge of the sand, under the only tree on the beach. Which was odd. Usually beaches didn't have trees. She shrugged and stared out over the ocean. The sunlight glinted off the water and glared into her eyes. She leaned back against the tree trunk and closed her eyes. Concentraiting, she found the mind voice of Jason. Growling, she swung up into the tree and climbed into the up-most branches. Kneeling there, she watched for the Ex-Hunter.

Jason walked along the beach, all his senses focused on finding Blood. Code would be mad if he brought her back dead or injured and would be furious if he didn't bring her back at all. Jason sighed, running a hand through his tousled hair and frowning. "Bully..." he muttered, referring to Code. 

He came to a stop under a tree near the edge if the sand and shivered slightly, immediately realizing that Blood was up in the tree. He chuckled slightly, going over and shifting until he was in a comfortable position at the trees base. He looked up at the leaves. "I know you're up there, Blood, so give up, play-times over," he said in a half-bored, half-annoyed manner.

Blood growled and leapt down onto the branch above the Ex-Hunter's head and sat there, dropping leaves on his head. "Code sent you to track me down, huh?" She asked, dropping a particularly heavy branch on Jason's head. "I wasn't playing." {{Phail. Yet again.}}

Jason simply brushed the leaves out of his hair but had to scramble out of the way when the branch fell. He stood up, glaring at her. It didn't take a genius to figure out why he had hated vampires. They were all annoying and took their power for granted. "Hey! Watch it with dropping heavy things," he shouted at her, standing up. "You could hurt someone." He frowned. "Yeah, Code wants you back and I suggest you do. Vampires and sunlight don't mix well."
