Palkia stood in front of ever, ready to battle. He spread his wings and tilted his head up, letting out a loud roar. "I'm ready!" he growled. "Choose your pokemon!"

"Palkia use...." Ever started, but Palkia was already working on a move. A bubble appeared over him, purple and yellow, shielding himself. "You're suppose to sue the move that I'm telling you to use," Ever sighed.
Then she realized that she didn't know what moves her Palkia can use. She got out her poke'dex and looked it up, "Okay," she breathed.

Mama Meganium, Reila, shiny Latios and the Zorua all watched the batle. Garcha had fallen asleep under a tree. Reila returned her to her Pokeball just as Zorua said something.
"She said she'd like to be called Sophia." Latios explained.
"Ok, that's fine with me!" Reila said, and Zorua smiled and winked. Reila gathered Sophia the Zorua into her arms and hugged her. Mama Meganium then allowed the two to sit upon her back as they all watched the battle.
"Good luck to both of you!" Latios called.
"Yes! Good luck from us too!" Reila called over.

Ever smiled, "Thanks," she beamed, and then returned her attention to the battle. "Palkia, Dragon Claw!" she commanded her little precious.
Palkia roared and his hand glowed a bright light. He ran with super speed and struck the Dewott across the face. He roared again and flew back to his position by Ever.

Reila observed the battle with interest, as did her shiny Latios, Sophia the Zorua and Mama Meganium. It was then that she noticed a Mienshao nearby. Reila was captivated by its beauty...she simply HAD to catch it!
"Oh my..." she gasped. She turned to the others. "I'll be right back. I'm going to catch a Pokemon!" She chose her shiny Latios to fight Mienshao, because of the type advantage he had.
"Latios, use Luster Purge!" Reila commanded, and Latios unleashed his powerful signature move upon the wild Mienshao...but, much to Reila and Latios's surprise, Mienshao dodged the attack! Mienshao sure was fast.

Palkia growled, but clearly not defeated. "You just only made him even angrier!" Ever smiled. "Use Earth Power now Palkia!" Ever shouted, knowing that this attack gave Palkia the advantage with a water type.
Palkia stomped on the ground, making rocks fly out of the ground to strike the Dewott.

"Protect!" Ever commanded. Palkia roared again and a bubble appeared, but soon flickered and faded. The Razor Shell hit him and sent him flying. He caught himself and flew with his wings just in time before hitting a tree. "Tackle!" Ever shouted, and Palkia thrusted his body towards the pokemon.

"Dragon Claw, full power!" Ever shouted. Palkia's claws lit up again, brighter this time. He slashed Shadow really hard, sending him flying through the air.

Palkia roared, "Why is this battle taking so long?" he asked impatiently. "Because you don't have your original strength yet. you're still a baby, you only have the strength of a regular pokemon." Ever replied. "But if you want to get stronger, then we have to defeat different people."
