Ever watched Charlie walk away, and tears welled up in her eyes. She broke out of Nurse Joy's grasps and weakly ran after one of her first human friends. She was NOT going to loose Charlie, no matter how mysterious and random she was. She was a great battler, and fun to talk with. Ever thought it was weird for her to befriend humans, but Reila and Charlie made it clear that not all humans are bad. She could trust them.
She grabbed Charlie's shoulder, coughing up more blood and spitting it onto the ground beside a bush. "Don't....go..." she panted. "Please, I... I'm sorry. I...I just don't want anyone ....to...to... harm.... Palkia...."

Ever had tears in her eyes, "Please don't leave me..." This was the first time she had ever said this to a human. All humans had mistreated her, literally made her their slave. She always wanted them to go away, and leave her alone. She never wanted to be by humans again. But now, now she had actually made friends with two humans, and one of them was leaving her? It felt...just so...abusive.

Ever stopped running after her. She couldn't catch up, she was too weak. Tears swelled up in her eyes as she keeled to the ground. 'I thought you were my friend...' she thought. Coldness swallowed her inside as her eyesight got blurry. 'Or...or should... do friends run away from each other?' She was confused. She didn't know what to do. Palkia watched Charlie run away with anger. "She's making Mistress upset..." he growled.

Then Charlie turned. She saw how Ever was feeling.
Ever did not know, but Ever was also Charlie's only friend.
"Ever!" She called, "C'mon! Come to my tree home!!"
And with that, Charlie slowly walked into the forest.

Ever stared after Charlie, watching her walk away into the forest. She looked back at Nurse Joy, who prepared a hot steaming mug of berry juice. "Drink this before you leave, it will make you stop coughing up blood." she said, giving the cup to Ever. Ever gulped it down quickly before running slowly after her friend.

Ever smiled, but was still a little weak. Palkia roared, and scooped Ever upon its small body. Riding on his back, they both zoomed out far in front of Charlie. "Who's a slow poke now?" Ever called out, feeling a little bit better.

Palkia flew up inside the tree-house, waiting for Ever and Charlie to get up there.
Ever had a deep pain in her gut. It wasn't pain like blood or cramp, but pain of loneliness. She never had a home, she always slept under the bushes or up high in trees, where harmful pokemon and humans couldn't find her. She always traveled through the forest, like a nomad. "How long have you been living here?" she asked.

Ever paused, the people who offered to her live with them turned out to be the kind of people who treated her like a slave. They whipped her and beat her, even if she had done something right. They would starve her, and keep her locked away in the attic or basement. She remembered one time when she was that she accidentally tripped and feel. Her "family" took her down into the basement and tied roped around her wrists and ankles to a long wooden bored. They then took out a wide arrangement of knives and daggers and carved into her. She would never forget the shrieking sounds of her screaming, never forget the feel of her own warm blood trickling down her body, and she would never forget the satisfied faces of those people.
Ever's breathing became heavy and she stumbled back, falling down to the ground. Tears stung her eyes and slipped down her red cheeks.
