Otium appeared to consider this. After a moment she decided and turned to the waiter with a polite smile.
"I'll have a chicken fajita, thanks." she said. "And a cup of tea, with milk and no sugar." She looked at Rune and smiled, sweetly.
"What are you having, Rune?" she asked.

She was beautiful. Rune had to admit that. "I'll have chips and salsa." the waiter walked away. "Otium. Tell me about yourself."

Otium shrugged, remaining calm as she always did.
"Well...what can I say? Apart from being a Goddess, I'm not that special." she said. "I'm really quite the calm type, as my name suggests. I like art and music, things like that, and my favourite hobby is star-gazing." She glanced at Rune.
"Um, Rune...you're staring at me." Otium said, quietly.

Rune blinked, as if to break out of a trance. The food arrived. Rune's fingers flickered with black fire. "That may happen. I still haven't completely mastered my powers."

Otium found herself smiling at Rune.
"Ah, I understand. When I was just a child both of my godly parents had to help me control my powers. But I'm fine with them now." she said. Otium hesitated, then chuckled to herself without humour.
"Not that I had many friends back then...a few, yes, but not many. The children of gods and goddesses don't get to socialise much." she said. She looked at Rune again. "Hey, Rune, I hope you don't mind me asking...how come you were grinning so much when I agreed to come with you?" |

"And there is something on your mind, isn't there?" she said. "Come on, I'm sure you can tell me. My mother, Ma'at...she always used to say that a problem shared is a problem halved. So if you ever feel like telling me what's wrong then go right ahead. I'll not bother you about it any more." |
