Jay vanished from sight as he turned the hallway the second Meridith opened the door. He heard the slight squeak of the door open and mouthed the words, knew it! He almost considered turning around to confront her. No, he'd have more fun than that. A lot more.

Swallowing nervously, Meridith looked around but the hallway seemed to be empty. She softly closed the door and seeing how she was still trembling slightly, she considered going back in. This is no time to be afraid. She reprimanded herself. If I get caught, I'm dead but I'll probably be dead anyway. She took a cautious step forward and when no one jumped out at her, she continued moving down the hallway slowly, looking around every few steps.

Jay knew the castle almost as well as he the prince did. The reason is because almost every night he leaves, to go find some corridor he's never found before. The first night he always did-to test the girls. Every one so far had left. No one ever got away, however. He crept through the halls until reaching the only other passage way that led to the exit. He pressed himself up against the wall, silently laughing to himself as he did. This, he mused, grinning, is the best night ever.

As Meridith continued down the hall, she almost talked herself into going back several times. Each creak the floorboards made and every noise she thought she heard made her jump. The only thing that kept her going was the thought of seeing her family again. She had no idea where she was going. Her plan was just to try to remember the path taken to get to Jay's room and hopefully everything would work out. Apparently her memory was pretty good because in a few minutes, she reached the hall where the as.signed took place.

Meridith stopped and stared at the room. Just a little farther. She thought in amazement. She actually managed to come this far undetected. She started to walk again slowly, increasing until she broke into a run.

NOW! Jay screamed in his mind, when another thought struck him. Maybe I should let her go, he thought carefully, I mean, she didn't try to kick me multiple times...NAH! He slid out his hiding spot and in front of the door in only seconds. Leaning slowly back onto it, he grinned, saying, "going somewhere?"

Meridith turned pale and stopped running. Opening her mouth to explain, she couldn't find her voice and just closed it. She didn't bother hiding the terror in her eyes, but it's not like she could have anyways. She tried to backpedal but her legs wouldn't respond to her. Instead, Meridith sank to the ground and pulled her knees to her chest, hiding her face. The tears were coming now and she was shaking. What did he plan to do with her now?

Jay almost laughed when she stopped. Well, he realized, he would of stopped too. "Now," he started, bending down to her, "can you please explain where you where going? I mean, I think I have an idea, but I'd love to your side of the story. If my theory is correct, am I really such a bad person?" He already knew the answer, so it was kind of pointless asking. |

What was the point of asking? He obviously knew she was scared. Where did he think she was going? "H-home." She whispered. "I-I wanted to g-go home. Or at least somewhere that wasn't h-here."

Rylee was about to speak when Asher opened the door. What she saw amazed her. She had excpeted a lot a things, but not this. The room was actually pretty decent. "Wow..." she said, suddenly unable to find her tongue. " This... is nice, actually." But now that that troublesome thought was over, Rylee focused on the worst one: what was he going to do with her?

Jay sighed slightly. "I know. It's not much fun being away from your family. Heck, my entire family has been dead for more than 400 years." He let out a quiet laugh before turning to her. "Any way, sorry hun, but I'm required to punish you." He picked her up slowly and started up the stairs, turning away from their room as he walked silently through the halls.

Asher followed her in and smiled at her. "I'm glad you enjoy it. I'm sorry to say that you will be spending quite a bit of time in here, so I hope you will make yourself comfortable." This was too easy. He just had to say a few nice words and she was as happy as one could be in a situation like this.

Meridith peeked out of her arms at Jay while he spoke. He was actually being nice. Maybe he wasn't so bad, that was, until he mentioned having to punish her. She flinched at his touch but that didn't stop him from picking her up. "W-where are we go-going?" She asked as she turned to look at their passing room.

Jay responded without stopping, slowing, or looking back at her. "Punishment Room." He answered simply, "just a room with nothing in it. It's worst than you'd think." He kept going, musing to himself, wow. First day, and she's already going the punishment room. I mean, it's happened before, but...I thought she' be different.

Well, that was pleasant news to hear! Not. How could she possibly make herself comfortable in a situation like this? " Uh, yeah... thanks." Rylee stood here, staring at anything but him, waiting for him to tell her what was supposed to happen next. He sounded... too nice. In an everyday situation, she would have been pleased. In this case, his tone made her suspicious. What was he planning to do with her all this time they would be together? The amber color in Rylee's irises seemed to form mini "waves", like little ripples of caramel. That was the only way she showed emotion. It was involuntary. Now the trouble was really going to start. She could sense it.
