"Naw, I'm good!" Naomi leaped into the creek and swiftly swam accross. "Gah... I hate it when my fur gets wet!" She shook off her fur and waited for the deer to cross.

Xaicus leapt into the bushes, narrowly avoiding small stones thrown by the humans that he had curiously crept towards. He yowled back at them, mostly just making noises, partially complaining about being treated like a stray version of their 'pet' cats. He was so much more than that. He was a proud, graceful hunter... If not a bit silly. He pranced a small distance, stopping to sniff at, and then roll in a small patch of clover, only to take off like a shot at a small sound. "Why I never." he murmured, watching the young humans run through the trees, still thinking they were after a simple tabby cat. Did they know nothing? He huffed, and took off again, running awhile before coming across a stream, and stopping to take a long drink.
Why is it always so late when I\'m awake?

Ri sniffed at the ground, barking once then running to follow the savory scent of rabbit. She slowed down at the barely visible rabbit blending into the brush, the only thing giving it away was its twitching nose. She licked her lips, crouching with her ears slid back, taking a few steps forward toward the rabbit, almost tasting it already. She involuntarily swished her tail over the ground, rolling a rock over and alerting the rabbit to her presence. It darted away in a heartbeat.
She cursed her stupidity in her mind, attempting to give chase, though she knew she had been to far away to catch up with her. During her chase, she caught the view of a feline creature in the corner of her eye. It looked like.. A cat? She gave up her inevitable failure at catching the rabbit to investigate. Her nose twitched with curiosity.
"You don't smell like a stray." She said when she approached the cat, making sure to keep a relaxed stance so it wouldn't be frightened.

Xaicus filled up with as much water as he wished, and jumped the creek in one graceful bound- Never would he allow his fur to be wet by anything but his own tongue. He trotted a small distance before the smell of prey reached his nose. He happily crouched down as he moved towards the scent, moving a small distance before- "Oh. You're a large-prey. I can't eat you." He looked up curiously at the deer, then dropped his eyes over to the fox. He stood there a moment, still crouched, blinking. "Well, this is awkward." He stood, and bounded off a few paces, putting distance between him and the other animals, looking back and tilting his head curiously for a moment.

He started to slide into the brush, only to run headfirst into a second fox. "Why I never!" He bristled his fur out. "A stray? I am offended by the suggestion. I was born and raised in the wilderness, thank you." He raised his head and tail high.

Naomi sniffed the air and let out a low growl... "Something is coming." Her ears flicked right up as she looked to the right of them. Then, as quick as lightning, a rabbit dashed by. But Naomi was quicker. In a flash, Naomi caught the rabbit under her paw and unleashed a killing bite to the neck on the rabbit. The rabbit fell limp.

"Well, I haven't met many cats." She said apologetically. "So I don't much know the difference." She sat with her tail curled around her, trying to ignore her prickles of anxiety that were starting to spawn from being around so many strangers. "To tell the truth, you do look much to wild to be a stray." She looked nervously to her side, like the other animals around her wanted to attack. She hasn't ever talked this much around strangers, and she wasn't sure if it was good or bad.

Naomi approached the other fox, ignoring the cat, she sniffed the other fox. "You're new around here eh?" She huffed and looked around as the cat and the fox continued their conversation, staring anxiously at Naomi.
