Naomi closed her eyes and whined. She waited for the right moment... And... Now!
Naomi pressed her paws against the wolf's throat and he released her from his jaws. She dashed up the nearest tree looking down at the wolf, growling.

She yelped and jumped up trying to reeach the fox but couldent. She stoped and looked at it "Beter get your friend befor I do." she cackled and ran off towards the way Spirit did.

Xaicus wrinkled his nose as the fox climbed up his tree- Or, at least the tree he had chosen. "Bloodied- Disgusting- Uck." he grumbled, slinking to a different branch. "I didn't even know foxes could climb, vixen." His eyes drifted after the wolf, still scowling. "You're brave and lucky, fox, but there was no point to that fight. Its a deer, darling, prey... And now that its wounded, if that wolf doesn't eat it, something else will."
Why is it always so late when I\'m awake?

Naomi glanced at the cat. "Skilled foxes can climb trees. And I at least gave that deer a fighting chance... and I gave that wolf a piece of my mind."

"I suppose that would give a little more reason." he replied, though had no idea why the fox had wanted to 'give the wolf a piece of her mind'. Though, if it was just to lose the wolf a meal, well, he had done that himself... Though, it was usually done with a forewarning to the prey.

Naomi licked her injured tail. "Ugh... Wolves are so clueless sometimes you know? They'll pick a fight with anyone that gets in their way. Even a smaller animal such as me. So many underestimate what a fox can do..."

'Wonderful.. Socialization...' Xaicus thought, eyes turning back to the fox. He blinked a moment, then made a small nod. "The larger cannines especially are usually... Quick to fight. Then again, I could say the same about their Feline counterparts, I suppose." he purred, eyes drifting to the small bat still on the ground. 'Though, every species has their soft spots.' He looked for the wolf again, and climbed down the tree, pawing over the moving the bat to his back. "This little one is a ward of the lynx, isn't (he?)?" Xaicus questioned, moving back towards the tree, and still keeping an eye out for the wolf.

"Well." Xaicus purred, climbing back into the tree, "As much as I detest communicating with that foul-mouthed ball of-" He wrinkled his nose. "I apologize, you're a companion of hers, aren't you...? And of course the little one is. I'll hold my tongue." He paused a moment, and then continued. "I suppose, I cannot let a vulnerable young hunter fall into danger, can I?"

Reyna walked into the scene where the fox and the fox were fighting. "Hey! Wolf! Why don't you pick on somebody your own size? Must we pick on things smaller than you so you accomplished? That's a shame. Reyna hissed and attacked the wolf. "Naomi, take care of Jethro! Meet you by the riverside later! Make sure he doesn't die!" Reyna called to Naomi. She looked pretty battered up. Reyna then bit the wolf in various places.

Deesel jumped up and bit onto the cat's neck and locked on. She hit against a tree and scrached on her side leaving a deep cut.

Naomi shook her head, ears whipping the sides of her foxy face. The morning sun shone brightly onto her orange fur. Her eyes sparkled like fire as she looked to the sky and stretched. She sniffed around, wondering if there were anymore troublesome animals near.
