Naomi awoke and stretched her legs. She could smell human in the air. "Oh no..." She thought to herself. She had to avoid the humans. Without a den to retreat to... She'll surely be turned into a coat. Naomi trotted away from where the stench of human came from. She had to find somewhere to live soon, with the humans moving in on the territory.

Mick watched the queer bird, laughing lightly.
"Thank you, but I've had my fill. Much more and I won't be able to fly." he chuckled, hopping into the air. "Good luck with those frogs, I hear there's an entire hoard of them over in that inlet." he nodded with his head, pulling himself further into the skies in search of further discovery.

Ven watched Mick soar into the sky.
"Good luck on your travelsssssss!" she called after them before continuing onwards. "And I ssssshall have good luck on mine." yet again, a beetle crossed her path but kept going this time. Then Ven froze. She saw a mouse not too far away. It hadn't seen her.
"Perhapsssss it'ssssss lunch time..." she whispered.

Kieme blinked lazily and allowed the warm thermals to carry her around, lifting her higher into the sky. She wasn't doing much of anything right now, simply drifitng along. The occasional movement of an animal far below sometimes caught her attention, and she would dive down for a closer look, but at the moment, she saw nothing. Except for the osprey hanging around somewhere to the east.
Kieme continued on, not giving much thought to the matter of another bird so close to her territory at the moment. Then her eyes widened and she whipped around, letting out a faint shriek. The osprey wasn't in her territory, but rather just a few lengths outside of the border. Normally Kieme would have let something like this slide, in fact she wouldn't usually be as close to the border as she was at the moment, but she didn't have much choice. Humans had set up some sort of arrangment where they spent their time, somewhere to the western edge of her hunting grounds. The noise and smoke that came from their encampment had scared all the prey away in that area, and Kieme had been forced to move out. Now she was looking for a new place to sleep until the humans cleared out. Kieme ruffled the golden feathers around her neck, and tucked her wings in. She went into a steep dive, hurtling downwards towards the canopy. A few feet above the treetops, she pulled out of her dive and snapped her wings open again. Now it was time to find out what that opsprey was doing.

Mick flew calmly along, savoring the wind as it gently blew through his feathers. He even dared to close his eyes for a moment, enjoying the sense of freedom that flying always seemed to bring. He banked slowly to the east, peering at the wildlife below. He saw a flash of rusty orange, which he at first believed to be a fox. His assumption was confirmed as a mammalian cry escaped her lips, maw stained with blood.
He, however, saw no reason to care. She was on the ground, quite a ways below, and even if he had been as well it would have meant little. He had a sharp beak and strong talons; and a desire to win no matter the damage to himself. Obviously, as he was still alive to be soaring through the desolate skies, he had never once lost a fight.
Mick blinked at the ground below, picking out a limb of one of the elder pines that looked to have easy access, and, turning, dipped his body and lit soundlessly on the small bough.

Mace was perfectly happy, after following the strange bird (what was his name again?)'s advice and went to an abundance catch frogs and toads to fill his belly. At last, full and sleepy,. Mace started off towards the marsh, passing by a bunch of elder pines, and clicked his beak in thanks to the mysterious bird who had unknowingly satiated his hunger.
Flapping his wings powerfully, Mace alighted into the shallow water and nestled into the cool mud, fish darting rapidly away from him. He swore he felt the smooth scrape of scales near his beak, but the lure of sleep was too tempting for him to resist, so he rested, sure that no human would want to place foot in a marsh any time soon.

Kieme flinched for no apparent reason, and banked to the south, turning away from the osprey. She had this feeling, that somewhere, something was wrong. Even up in the air she felt a quiet chill settle over her. The sunlight streamed onto her back, but she failed to feel the warmth of the rays. Worry pricked at Kieme like a loose quill, and she flapped to gain altititude. She could no longer hear anything but the rush of wind in her ears. Her feathers were plastered against her uncomfotably, because now she was flying into the wind, and it was much stronger up here.
Eyes slitted Kieme turned and began to drift in a circle, spiraling down to the treetops. All her senses were on high alert, but there seemed to be nothing for her to see, hear, or smell. The forest had gone silent, at least for the moment.

A chill ran up the fox's back. She could sense something was wrong, something was approaching. Now she was worried. For without a den she would not be able to conceal herself from who... Or what was coming. The wind picked up ever so slightly.
((You guys are fantastic writers by the way, I havent seen such a well written RP))

Name:AlyceAge:two years oldGender:femalePersonality:As a pup Alyce was wild with boundless energy. She was a carefree pup and was more of a handful for her parent. She'd wonder off every chance she got, which lead her to many close calls. As she got older she harnessed her energy into hunting and moving from place to place when the seasons called for it.Now that she is old enough to leave her birth pack and find her own, she is more "mature" acting.... but never forget, she loves to have fun any chance she can get.Mate:Open thus far.Pups:None.Other information:She is looking to start her own pack, and with that claim her own land.Looks:((Before I post my intro... what season and time of day is it?Also, I'm going blind and have a horrible time trying to read anything below size 4(14pt) font... so sorry if the font in my posts are too big.))

Ven slithered silently towards the small mouse. It still hadn't realized that she was there. Ven's clear sense of smell made up for her poor eyesight, and she could even smell the rodent's emotions...contentment, mostly, for the mouse was eating a nut of some kind. Ven paused to watch the rodent try and stuff the nut into its jaws.
She coiled up slightly. Paused again...and sprung at the mouse with jaws wide open. There came a shriek from the mouse, but then it was all over. Ven set about eating her meal.

((Thanks. :-) Not really sure of the setting being it's hard to read all of the posts that have already been posted, so I kinda just improvised. XD ))
The sun hadn't even begun to peek around the towering tops of the neighboring mountain ranges as the sound of something running through the forest could be heard. "The time is getting closer... I can feel it." A young canine panted to herself as she began to slow her pace. Her breath came out in short and heavy pants as she eased herself from a full blown run into a slow walk. Her pelt was solid white, except for the dark brown "boots" that had accumulated on her legs from the long distance she'd traveled.
Her stunning blue eyes gazed at the scenery she'd entered. Near her was a small stream that barely cut through the forest floor. All around her were tall trees that nearly blocked out the sun's rays as they just barely began to grace the sky. "I'd been running all night." She huffed with a smile as she yanked her gazed away from the sky that was slowly but surely becoming lighter to the nearby brook that the small stream lead into. She quietly trotted over to the brook and practically stuck her whole head into the shallow water. She hadn't stopped to drink in a long time, causing her thirst to be more than she could tolerate at that moment. The female lapped as much water as she could as fast as she could before jerking her head away from the water. Her ears twitched around like little radars as she picked up noises from farther away. Thinking it could be other wolves, she checked the area she was in for scent markers. Not finding anything that claimed the land she was in, she marked a large portion of the land for her own, and headed towards the mouth of the forest.
Curiosity had gotten the better of her and she trotted off in search of where the muffled voices were coming from.
As she left her newly marked land, she noticed a few birds in the sky... but the other animals were still to far away for her to get a good look at them. Without so much as a second though she headed forward; directed for the voices that sounded the closest.
((Anyone is welcome to spot her before she spots them.))

Naomi paused in her tracks and stayed perfectly still. There was a new wolf in the distance. "Where are all these wolves coming from???"

A light but rather chilly breeze blew past Alyce, causing her snow white pelt to ruffle more as she walked. She took a deep breath in, the smell of the fading winter and a red fox invaded her nostrils. With a slight smiled she quickened her pace, the red fox coming into view. "Greetings." She barked as she slowed to a halt a few feet away from the other canine.

Ven could not SEE a wolf, but she could smell one. She didn't speak, though, for her mouth was still full of dead mouse. By now, she was very close to swallowing it. Ven gave a tiny contended hiss. This mouse could keep her from going hungry for a good few days, at least.

"I'm sorry to startle you... I just haven't seen any others since I left my pack." Alyce replied as she lied down where she was standing. "I'm Alyce. Pleased to meet you." She added with another smile.

"Interesting.... There are other wolves around here too that don't have a pack. Perhaps you should meet them."
