Centuries ago the world was filled with villages of Shapeshifters. Shapeshifters were high ranked in society and  Kings would ask these gifted people for favors, like spy work or delivering messages. Shapeshifters were also very beautiful, in both human form and in their animal form. They were so beautiful that when they were animals hunters where mesmerized by their beauty and would not kill the animals. Because of this Shapeshifters could stay in the animal form and not worry about being hunted. Kings would also take these beautiful humans and give them to their sons as Birthday presents.

One day an old blind man went into the woods to find some food for his wife and himself. The temperature was becoming colder and the man was becoming desperate for any species of animal to appear. That's when he saw a Raven perched on a branch cleaning it's feathers. The man, cold and desperate, did not take notice to the birds beauty and took out his bow and arrow and quickly shot the Raven. The man took the bird back to his small house and prepared the bird. He quickly plucked the feathers of and cleaned it out and soon the bird was in both his wifes and his own stomachs. The next day the old man went outside to find beautiful feathers floating outside his house. Both mesmerized and scared the man quickly hid the Shapeshifters feathers in his pockets, so that none of the other villagers would find out about the killing.

The next day the old man went to bar, were some other old men and himself would spend the evening talking about the day. While the men talked and drank one of the feathers from the old mans pocket floated out. One of his friends stopped and looked at it. Amazed he pointed to it and asked,

"What is that and where can i get one? I would pay millions of gold bars just for one of those." The old man quickly picked up the feather and said, " This feather? You are my dear old friend so instead of selling it to you i will tell you where to get your own."

The whole bar soon found out about the feathers and began to ask questions like,

"What if it was from one with fur? and,

"How many do you think we can find in a day?"

Soon the town was in the Shapeshifters villages and woods, and they took as many beautiful looking animals they could get. The Shapeshifters not expecting the sudden hunt had no time to either run, hide or transform into a human. After a month of hunting, and selling these were no more Shapeshifters.

Some people believe that they were all killed in the hunting, and others believe they are in hiding by blending in with humans. Which is hard to do when you have a tail and ears.

I am truly sorry about the long intro, but i believe it is made of awesome.

Sola was in her ocelot form, stalking through the trees in the forest. Her starling, Fiero, followed her, twittering incessantly. Sola leapt from tree to tree, balancing perfectly on each branch. She landed on one particular tree, a magnificient, old and tall oak tree. Fiero followed her, hopping on each twig and following his owner. Sola carefully made her way from the bottom branch to the very top, finally reaching a wonderful view of the entire forest. "The climb was worth it." She thought to herself, her tail flicking for side to side in a satisfactory manner.

Marco was sitting in his father's manor, a rather large and prestigious large house. It wasn't grand, compared to the king's palace, but it was still god enough to be considered luxurious. Marco was sitting in his room, which was rather large, complete with lush red royal chairs and a huge plush bed. He sighed, walking to the enormous window. Marco peered out of his window, into the forest that was quite some distance from his home. 

Naida breathed a sigh of relief as she escaped the horrible castle she was living in. She stripped herself of her fine garments and tossed them into a secret compartment in a stone on the castle. With a smile, she pulled on a tunic and some other brown clothes to look more like a simple peasent.

Naida tossed her long black/purple hair over her shoulder, messed it up a bit, and tied it in a long ponytail. The landscape started to move as Naida ran by it, not even stopping to smell the flowers. It was as if she had something important to do and she did. The miles flew by and finally she stopped at a large house. "Marco, you there?" Naida whispered, peeking into the window...

"I didn't say th=ey had killed me, I said I dreamed about them and I talked to you because you.are.nice." Naida said, sitting down in a comfortable chair. "What if we went to go look for them. Not to kill them, just to observe. It'd be fun and do you know how boring it is to be a princess?" Naida asked, tearing a pair of scissors of the table. She took her long hair in her hands and choped the lot of it off till she was left with no ponytail and hair that felt neck length...

Aerelo sat under a tree in the forest, his back leaned against the trunk of the tall oak tree. With his right leg resting on top of his left, his blue eyes watched as a few birds in the sky flew around each other and they eventually landed on a high branch up another tree.

Aerelo sighed and watched as one bird flew into the tree he sat under and caused a few leaves and dirt to fall on him. He dusted some small twigs from his white tunic and then looked around, wondering where his twin brother was. Mavryk had said that he was going for a short walk around the forest, and that had been what? An hour or two ago? Heaving himself up onto his legs, he bent down and his arms and legs turned into wolf legs. Within a few seconds where a boy would have been standing now stood a wolf with yellow-brown fur. Aerelo blinked his still blue eyes and then began trotting in a random direction, scenting around to try pinpointing where his brother had gone to.

A brown wolf with some black and white fur here and there lay under a few trees that grew close together, his eyes that were nearly black watching the area infront of him. The wolf, Mavryk, had a rather bored ex
pression on his face. Althought you would have to look pretty hard to actually realize it was a bored ex
pression. Droplets of water clung to the tips of his whiskers since he had taken a quick drink from a puddle, but he quickly got rid of them with a swipe of his tongue.

Mavryk yawned then realized he had probably been away from Aerelo for more than a short time. Getting up to his paws, he stretched his hind legs and then trotted back from the direction he came. He spent most of his time here in the forest than in the areas where normal humans lived, so he knew this place better than the towns and kingdoms.

Feeling slightly hungry Lyra began to shift into her Mink form. This way she could swim much faster and be full much quicker before any type of human came into the forest. Her parents had warned her about the Humans and how evil they were. She had heard many stories of how they were murderers and only cared about being rich. Lyra didn't see the point in money, she was fine living on the edge of the lake. There was plenty of food to go around and it was a great spot to see the stars at night. Splashing into the lake she looked for anything that might satisfy her needs. Today she felt like eating crayfish.

After looking and quickly catching the crayfish she swam up to the surface of the water to eat her delicious lunch. As she was about to finish the last piece she heard a strange noise coming from the bushes. Remembering her mothers warnings she quickly made it to land and transformed into her Human form.

"Whats wrong?" Akilina wondered, popping up behind Lyra as she shifted into a human. Aki herself was in a fine leapord coat with bright, round puuplis. She smiled, if leopards could, and shifted back to her human form to become a charming girl. Her eyes were silver and twinkling with happiness and her skin was pale as a lily, but she didn't seem to mind. Aki stopped smiling as she heard the bushes move...
