Maya shuddered at Nylat's voice, then glanced sideways at the hybrid, her eyes suspicious. "You make it sound like something's going to happen..." She stopped, blinked, then flailed. "Stop doing this to me..." She added in a somewhat sullen voice.

Really now... Today had been going so well until Nylat dropped this bombshell... Maybe she should just stay out here until the Circus moved... Shaking her head, she sighed, then watched as Nylat stretched her form. Maya smiled slightly, then returned her eyes to the gras.s, a vivid blade of green between her fingers. "Maybe you should take a short run before we leave?... I believe Raphael said we wouldn't be going until tonight,"

She smiled at Nylat. "You have plenty of time if you need to,"

Raphael eyed the tempered Ariskye as the girl spoke. Maybe placing these new folk wouldn't be quite that easy afterall... Perhaps Ariskye would benefit more from being placed with Maya?... He sighed quietly, then stretched. He couldn't really do much until Nylat and Maya returned anyways.

"Alright. So we got Spider sorted." He raised an eyebrow at the spindely male. "He's welcome to change his mind however. The rest of you, we'll figure out once the girls get back," He glanced towards the tent flap. "In the meantime, why don't we head back outside?... The Main performance tent is just like any other, and the members are preparing to take this one down."

He chuckled quietly, then walked to the tent flap, before strolling out into the sunlight, looking over his shoulder, awaiting the others.

Nylat shook her head.
"Oh...nothing's going to happen."
Without my help that is.
She flicked her tail at the mention of a short run, and was about to respond when the sound of strong wingbeats stopped her. She growled a bit, flattening her ears to her head, taking a fully aggressive position. As Kanec landed lightly, she kept her position, only ceasing her growl.
"Raphael told me to come find you two. He's trying to sort out vans for the new members."
Nylat ignored him, but he knew she'd heard. Not waiting for an answer from either, he shifted into a tiger, turning and bounding away, all in one swift motion. Nylat resumed her normal posture, her ears still laid back, and her eyes glaring at where he'd disappeared.
"I'm not going for a run tonight. I always stiffen up after strenuous activity. That's why I'm stiff today. My act last night was a different one, as you know."
Without another word, Nylat stretched again and continued back to the Circus, glancing over her shoulder at Maya.
"You heard him, we're needed."

Personality: Quiet but snippy. She likes to stay peaceful but the very moment someone pushes her over the edge she will snap. It takes quite an effort to cool her down once she gets going. She's also VERY sensitive about her appearance

Ability: She can crack her tail as if its a whip with rather deadly accuracy and she can jump through flaming hoops (which is pretty much all she's been allowed to do in her life)

Other:  She is about 80% lion and has some horse in her, but no one really know just WHAT she actually is.  All she knows is when she was little she escaped a small room with a lot of people in white jackets only to be forced into hoop jumping by some guy in a bowler hat who she consequently...ate.

"I'll stay with Nylat, if she doesn't mind.  Or I can sleep outside like Spider.  I done it alot of times since my parents made me leave, and I'm used to it.  I can wrap myself in my cloak and stay pretty warm most nights.  I don't want to be a burden on anyone."

At Rapheals' as.surance, Kioko sighed in relief.  "It's not that I don't want to be helpful sir, but I'm not used to showing my ability in front of people.  They always get scared..."

At the mention of finding something else for her to do, she nodded eagerly.  "I can wash dishes, or help with the laundry.  I've been doing those things for myself since I was little, I'm very good at it."   

Ovael stood and stretched, her meditation broken by the distinct sound of paws running in roughly her direction. Blinking a few times, she stretched much like a house cat and cracked her tail. In one bound she imediately started running in the same direction as the tiger who had awoken her.  Figuring it was just Kanec, she adjusted her speed so that she soon was running alongside him.

"Where're you headed off to in such a hurry?"

Dravius yelped, losing his thin amount of balance on the long branch, falling to the ground in a heap. "Hello, Jazz." He said, gather ing his arms under him and pushing into a handstand. Looking upside down at Jazz, Dravius laughed and said, "You surprised me." Getting back to his feet, he hopped back into the tree, his barefeet gripping the branch as he pulled level with the girl. "I was resting. What were you doing?" Looking down, Dravius noticed that when he fell, he had left a clump snow white hair on the branch. "That might have hurt." He said thoughtfully, tugging on his bangs. "See you later." Dravius said, not waiting for an answer to his previous question.

Sliding down the tree trunk, the tall, white haired boy strode across the grounds, his hands in the pockets of his long, many-pocketed pants. He roamed the circus withpout any real purpose, circling the tents, blinking slowly. He spotted a brown and black pelt through the trees, along with a glimmer of red. Trotting through the trees, he saw that it was indeed Nylat and Mayanna, heading back towards the Circus. "Hello," He said simply, with a slight smile.

Kanec kept his smooth gait as he turned to Ovael.
"Just returning to Raphael."
He flicked his tail, slowing his pace slightly as he reached Raphael. He stopped, skidding a bit, and glanced up at the Ringmaster.
"They're coming. And Nylat's still being her stubborn self. Only, she's a bit more aggressive. It worries me."
He shifted into his human self, flaring his wings to steady himself as he stood from his crouch. He folded his wings, flicking his ears up in his usual manner.

Maya glared at Nylat, then pouted and sighed, turning only to watch as Kanec apppeared from the direction of the Circus clearing. Her eyes flickered between the Shifter and the Hybrid, then she stood, using the tree trunk as support.

At Nylat's voice, the teen grumbled, rushing her step to walk beside the hybrid as she kept her eyes on Kanecs path. She knew full well how stubborn the hybrid could be, so kept her mouth shut as they walked, a small frown on her face. It was a sad situation, and one that didn't seem to want to lift anytime soon.

She was deep in thought when Dravius appeared, and quite literally jumped again at the sound of his voice, her face blanking. "Eh, Dravius... Stop coming out of nowhere like that," She huffed, unwilling to make any sort of eye contact, or even just looking at him full stop. God damnit. Figures he'd show up like that minutes after a certain conversation. "Hey, Jazz," She added, relieved to have someone to place her gaze on.

Nylat grinned when Dravius, yet again, seemed to come out of nowhere, causing Maya to jump out of her skin. The hybrid stayed silent, though, and turned as Ovael came up to them, nodding respetfully to the other hybrid.
"Hello there, Ovael. And to what do I owe the pleasure of this visit?"
To many, it would be odd, her sudden shift in mood, but to the older members of the Circus, like Maya, it was plain. Her anger was directed at Kanec only, and she didn't take it out on anyone else. She was her normal self around everyone but him. Well, almost normal. She slowed her pace so she was walking beside Mayanna.

She glanced again at Dravius and Maya, keeping a close eye. Maya would probably not give her the chance to do anything, but Nylat was sneaky. She'd find a way. The hybrid, on a surge of boredom, lightly bumped her friend, just enough to push her into Dravius. Of course, Nylat showed no signs of it being intentional, merely watched and waited for the results.
