Kioko returned Maya's hug with the hand not holding the paintbrush, slightly confused but still pleased with it.  "Um.  Alright.  Let's do it, then."  Dipping her brush back in the paint, the white haired girl continued with her painting as Maya left to check on the inside.

A few minutes passed, and the pyro stopped to look at Nylat when she dipped her tail in the paint bucket and leapt onto the top of the van.  "Maya's right.  When you're done you should wash your fur really well, before that dries," she offered.  Kioko stood back, looking at the portion of the van she had finished painting as she listened to Maya's enthusiastic recounting of the progress inside the van.

"Okay," the pyro agreed when the butterfly suggested she help set up some of the lighter things.  She allowed herself to smile weakly at both Maya and Nylat before getting back to the painting.  "Thanks, Maya.  For inviting me to help with this.  I would have probably sat inside all day if you hadn't."

-----

"You seem mad."

Selvai threw a sharp look at the blue skinned shifter following him as he continued silently toward the circus grounds.  After a brief chase, the use of a few magical spells, and losing another lock of hair, he had managed to wrest control of the scissors away from her, although the shifter continued to comment on his reluctance to have his hair cut.

"I mean, it's not going to kill you.  You just had to sit still long enough for me to finish.  But noo, you acted like I was going to go all Sweeney Todd on you and run away-"

"Disera, this is not the time," he gritted out.

"Fine.  Want me to fix your hair, at least?"

"No."

"But it's all gapped-"

"No.  I'll find Maya or Kioko and ask them to do it.  Or even Dravius or Julian."

"Fine.  Fine.  I've been your traveling companion for over a year now, but you trust any of them to cut your hair and not me," she huffed.

"None of them have leapt at me with sharp objects.  So, yes, I believe I'll ask someone else for help this time."

"...Fine"

He sighed in aggravation, rubbing at his face with the hand not currently holding the scissors.  "Disera, just.  Go find Kanec, or find somewhere quiet and practice your shifting.  I would really like some personal space at the moment."

The shifter responded with a snort, lifting herself off the ground with her wings and shifting into her raven form.  "Alright, I'm going.  Maybe you'll be in a better mood when I come back."  She swooped in front of Selvai before climbing upward into the sky.  Spotting another creature flying in the sky, Disera flew closer, shifting into a hummingbird and buzzing around Kanec as he flew.  "Hi there."

"Well, aren't you just on top of things?" Dravius teased, laughing quietly and stretching his arms over his head, letting his back crack as he arched it. "Yeah, because Julian totally loves spending time with everyone. Like a fish loves fresh air." He said with another laugh, sticking his tongue out at Raphael. "Well, I'm worried about her. And swearing is hard to do wonce it's a habit, in my defense." He snorted at Raphael's wide grin and grinned back crookedly, sharp teeth flashing.

"Thanks for offering, but I'm alright." Dravius shrugged and yawned widely, blinking hard afterwards and rubbed an eye with the heel of his hand. "Mmmm. Still tired. To much sleep is not good for me. Just makes me more tired." He coughed into his elbow and looked around in the now-baking sunlight, turning towards the area where the circus was camped, and beginning to walk back, his long stride carrying him across the ground swiftly. It didn't really take all that long to get back to the brightly coloured place, ten minutes if that. There seemed to be a large amount of activity around his own van, and it only made Dravius feel more anxious about fixing it up. Maybe they were there to offer to help. He looked suspicous as he saw a flash of orange and black that reminded him of a certain someone's wings, not to mention Nylat was standing on the roof with black paint halfway up her tail.

"What're you guys doing?" Dravius asked slowly, walking foreward suspiciously, looking at the completely repaired outside, and putting his fingertips on the newly-painted outside. "Did you guys do this?" He asked, blinking in disbelief. He looked like he didn't quite believe that this had happened, a slightly bewildered look in his eyes."Did you do this?" He asked again, sticking his hands in his pockets with wide eyes.

((Noooo you're too earlyyyy. *Locks Dravvy in closet* Maybe we'll need to cheat and put in a mini-time-skip.))

"It'll come to me, probably." Raphael snorted, laughing quietly at the Co-Master's following statement regarding Julian. "Yeah. Don't let him hear you say that, though. It'll be our meeting again. And I know you worry, I do too. I still think she'll be fine, though."

He shrugged, raising an eyebrow at Dravius' rejection to going to obtain a few of his instruments. "Oh. If you're sure." He paused, then followed after the Co-Master when he set off, very quickly checking the time. Had it been any earlier, Raphael would have insisted on going to explore, though he as.sumed the amount of time that had already pas.sed would be enough for Maya. It had afterall, already been just under a couple of hours. It was probably okay for them to head back about now.

~~~
"I know." Maya murmered, smiling slightly at Kioko, her ex
pression both sympathetic and understanding. "I was in that position myself no longer than three week ago." The butterfly-winged girl almost unconsciously tugged for a second on the orange gauze around her wrist, before she settled herself with continuing to paint the Co-Master's van. "It gets easier." She added, stretching her arm so that she was able to go over the black with a second coat, having already done so at eye level. "It just takes time, I guess."
Sighing quietly through her nose, the blonde continued with the outside of the van alongside Nylat and Kioko, pausing only when she caught sight of Zephyre's return, pushing along a rather large, dark red chair. She watched him as he lugged it through the door, then threw a smile at Kioko and Nylat before putting down her brush and following the metal-manipulator inside.
It took her a moment to realise what she was seeing. The inside of the van had progressed further since she had seen it earlier, with the bed now completed, covered in a thick, maroon duvet, so dark it looked almost black. The wardobe doors were fully fitted, the window had a new blackout blind over it, and even the walls had been painted in the dark red paint she'd brought in earlier. The whole place was crisp and clean, though peculiarly it still had the look of Dravius about it, despite still being somewhat empty with the lack of furniture. Probably the ever-constant holes in the floor, and the dark air about the place.
Smiling in spite of herself, she watched as Zephyre placed the new chair exactly where the old one had been, before walking back to the door and looking over his shoulder. "Hey, Maya. Wanna help shift this furniture?"
"I was going to, anyway. The outside's more or less finished."
Grinning, Zephyre hopped out of the van, shortly followed by Maya once she'd thanked Clarisse for everything she'd done inside. The actual moving of the rest of Dravius' new stuff didn't take too long, and everything was placed in a similar fashion as to how it had been before.
Zephyre stood, hands on his hips and a successful look on his face as he looked arouund the completed interior of the Co-Master's van. "That went rather well." He stated, grinning at Maya.
The young woman returned his smile with one of her own. "It did. Thanks  to you, Clarisse, Kioko and Nylat. There's no way I'd have managed this without you guys."
"Of course not!... Though you're practically in our debt now. Just think of all those favours we'll be asking of you in future." He laughed, before hopping out of the door and heading off to wherever it was he was heading.
Maya waved him off with a snort, before turning to look back at the van. There was a small bubble of pride settling in her stomach, as she simply smiled at the look of the place. The dark red and wood scheme was brilliant. On a sudden impulse, the young woman walked quickly over to one of the new drawers, rooting around for an ob
ject she''d placed into it earlier. Despite most of the van being completely destroyed, there was the odd paintbrush and paint tube that had seemingly survived, one item of which was a small vial of gold ink.
Retrieving it, as well as a small, surviving brush, Maya walked back to the door, pausing to look at the plain dark red beside the door frame. It did, she admitted, look rather empty compared to the sheer number of letters and words that had previously resided on Dravius' wall. Dipping the brush quikly into the small amount of ink, she methodically began to place names on the wall beside the door, starting with her own. It was followed by Nylat and Kioko, and then Zephyre and Clarisse, as well as a few other names such as those of the older members. Her letters were simple and smooth, much in contrast to Dravius' writing, and the gold glistened brightly against the dark background.
Smiling, she placed the lid back onto the vial, before returning it to the drawer and looking over her shoulder at the small group of names beside the door frame. The girl gently rubbed her wrist, currently aching, probably with the effort of pulling everything around, though She was practically beaming as she walked to the door before heading outside in time to see Dravius' approach.
Raphael, who had followed after the Co-Master mostly in silence, let loose a low, impressed sort of whistle when he saw the glistening black paint of the younger male's van. To say it was a surprise was an understatement. He honestly hadn't expected for the thing to be completely renovated. Smiling as Dravius walked over to check the van, the Ring-Master looked at Zephyre,, who was also currently watching the Co-Master with a smile.
At the Co-Master's repeated questions, Zephyre snorted. "Of course we did." He laughed. "And as much as I'd love to stay here and take the credit, I do have Circus mentainance to do." Bowing his head and grinning, he turned and headed off, ruffling Maya's hair as he pas.sed.
"Ah." Raphael murmured, raising an eyebrow at the sheepish looking Maya, still rubbing her wrist, her white shirt slightly stained with black, purple sheen paint. "Well. Now it makes sense." He snorted, unable to keep himself from laughing. It figured, really.
Nylat helped finish off the painting, flicking her tail up when she was done, with such force that it splattered on her ear. She didn't mind though, she'd painted her van alone--never again would she do that--and made more of a mess of herself. She flicked her tail again as she flopped down on the top of the van, watching the others bustle around. Had her side been less sore, she'd had helped to speed along the process. Few knew just how well she was at lifting things. She did more than pull up trees and push rocks around. She could lift anything she could get under just as well as a human could lift it. Better, sometimes. She yawned, dozing in the sunlight.
She must have fallen asleep, because when she woke up, Dravius was there. She flicked her ears, yawning, before standing up, flicking her paint-covered tail. She let her tongue loll out of her mouth. Her side wasn't hurting after her nap, and she was in a much better mood, having had much better dreams. She stretched a back leg, her ears laid back. "Aye, we did. I only helped with the painting, though. Maya did most of the organizing of everyone."
She shook, the fur on her tail that was soaked with paint rising to spike up. She smiled at it, before sitting. She curled her tail around her feet, smoothing out her fur with her paws, until she was finally satisfied, and glanced down at Dravius. "You are pleased, of course?"
~~
Kanec was gliding along smoothly when Disera approached. At first he ignored her wings' buzz, then turned his head at her voice. "Ah, hello there, Disera. And how are you this fine day?" He beathis wings in a slow, paced rhythm, not really caring about whre he drifted, or how far he did so. He could always find his way back to the Circus. He ruffled his feathers a little as the updrafts and thermals lifted him up higher, then tilted slightly to the right, curving slowly back toward the Circus, then making it into a u-turn and flying back out over the 'wilderness'. If it could be called such, being so close to the town.
Dravius had spent a minute or two just staring at the outside of the van, letting the tips of his fingers brush against the barely-dry paint, eyes wide. He looked towards Zephyre with a huge grin, and then in response to Nylat said, "Fantastic." He was still smiling as if his face would split, then put one foot on the stair and hesitated, looking back and saying, "Thanks, everyone. Really. I...." He trailed off and looked at the door, pushing it open gently with one hand. The metal felt good as new and slightly slippery through it's coating of paint. The inside made Dravius stop and widen his eyes at the interior. "It's....really....really. FANTASTIC!" The tall male raised his voice at the last word, spinning on his heel and laughing out loud. He really seemed geniunely floored by everything everyone had done.
"Thank you!" Dravius said, almost louder than before. "This is...great!"  He was on the verge of hyperventilating, still grinning hugely. His eyes were drawn to the gold names next to the doorframe, and he dropped his bag of purchases and strode over to them, tracing over the letters with the tips of his first two fingers, his smile slightly more muted. "You have no idea how much I love you, by the way." Dravius poked his head out the door and grinned at Maya, trotting out to hug her tightly, saying, "Y'know, I thought you were up to something. HOW did you do this?" He gestured at the van, grinning hugely again. Dravius then kissed her on the cheek and turned back to his van, yelling again, "THIS IS FANTASTIC!"
"Mhm. Very nice~" Raphael murmered, tilting his head slightly to catch sight of the purple sheen as he looked at Dravius' newly painted van. It really was rather impressive, for something done in probably just over an hour. The Ring-Master, smiling, looked away from the black vehicle in time to see the Co-Master dissappear into the interior of the van.
Of course, the next thing he heard was Dravius, and he couldn't help but laugh himself at the sheer joy in the Co-Master's voice. "Well. You did something right." He said to no-one in particular, smiling at the small gathered group that had formed. A couple of the members present had actually taken part in helping with little bits of the van, the others had simply ambled over to see what all the excitement was about.
Maya, who, like Raphael, had been smiling the short duration of Dravius skittering around in his new van, looked over at Nylat and Kioko. "Thanks, you two." She said with a smile, still holding her gauzed wrist with her other hand. She looked back towards the van as she heard the Co-Master continue on about the inside, blushing a little at his last words before he finally emerged. The young woman had been looking at the floor distractedly when he hugged her, and she returned it with her good arm, responding with, "Uh-hu. A ridiculous amount?" She giggled, quoting what the Co-Master had said that night on the field.
"And... I didnt do this on my own." She replied, blinking  up at him before looking over to where Nylat and Kioko stood, still rubbing her aching wrist. "I had a good amount of help. I just... Painted... And moved things about." The blonde smiled at them, blushing again when the Co-Master kissed her on the cheek before jumping at his following exclamation. "All right, all right. I'm glad you like it." She laughed, tugging lightly on his arm. "I'll be right back... I need to change." She murmered, glancing at her stained shirt before smiling at the Co-Master, letting go of his arm long enough for her to sprint to her van. It didn't take her long to slip into her signature one-shouldered white dress, pulling her hair out being tied back, before running back to rejoin Dravius at his van.
Raphael had watched the entire thing with a raised eyebrow, then snorted quietly before walking to stand next to Kioko, glancing at the pyro before looking up at Nylat, eventually returning his gaze to the white haired girl. "How're you?" He asked, smiling slightly before glancing between the two again, pausing before speaking. "How long was this planned, exactly?... You did an awfully good job." He added,, crossing his arms and looking genuinely intrigued. "I should consider having you renovate my van." He joked with a laugh.
Dravius whirled around again as Maya sped off, exclaiming, "Yes! That is exactly how I'd describe it! ....She's not here anymore." He looked slightly confused until he caught sight of the girl's retreating back. "Oh. She left. Alright." Dravius coughed and looked a little sheepish to be caught talking to someone who wasn't there. He honestly hadn't caught her last sentence, and stuck his hands in his pockets, blinking once or twice, standing on the shiny new stairs to his shiny new van. It was almost creepy to see it recreated so accurately, witht the exception of the colours and such. Also, it was clean, which was even more startling.
At the return of Mayanna, Dravius grinned again, rubbing an eye with the heel of his hand. He turned to Kioko afterwards, blinking at the girl. "I never had a chance to look at your arm, really. It got pulled pre'ey far back. 'R y'alright?" Without realizing itor meaning to, Dravius had slipped back into the informal, slightly slurred speech of his younger days, still grinning lopsidedly. It was rather conspicious, the lack of magician or either shifter, the tall male thought, and looked around, one eye sweeping the grounds. "Wh're's 'Vai?"
It actually didn't take long to locate the white haired magician, and Dravius said, "'M gonna say hi." He walked over to the shorter man, raising one eyebrow as he approached. Something seemed....off about the man's long mop of striped hair. "What....happened to your hair, Selvai?" He asked with a note of suspicion. He then snorted with suppressed laughter, asking with a chuckle, "Did you....try to cut your own hair?" He burst out laughing at the magician holding a pair of scissors, his uneven hair haning about his face. "You look RIDICULOUS!" He laughed even harder, pulling himself together with some difficulty. "I'm sorry. You just look so.....frustrated."
"I've been better," Disera confessed, shifting into her raven form so she could keep up with him easier.  She matched his movements as he turned toward the forest, making sure to keep enough distance between them so that they both had plenty of room for whatever manuvers they wished.  "I was trying to help Selvai out... And I don't think he appreciated it too much.  But, I was careful not to cut him with the scissors, so I don't know why he's so mad at me.  His hair would have looked okay if he would have just sat still and let me finish," the shifter said as she followed Kanec.
-----
The magician snorted uncharacteristically at Dravius' outburt of laughter, prodding his shoulder with handle of the scissors.  "Of course I didn't do this to myself.  I'm smart enough to know better than to cut my own hair."  He shoved the pair of scissors into the back pocket of his jeans before continuing.  "Appearently, Disera decided I needed to have my hair cut.  I don't need to tell you how it turned out."
"I don't suppose you know of anyone in the circus who's skilled at hair-cutting, would you?" he asked Dravius as he continued walking.  "I'd rather not walk around for too long looking like this," Selvai explained, pulling one of the shortened strands of hair away from the rest.
-----
"Um, thanks," Kioko managed to stammer out at Maya's praise.  She tilted her head down slightly to hide the blush taking over her face.  "I'm glad I was able to help out, even if I didn't do as much as the rest of you."  The white haired girl laughed slightly at Dravvy's manic outburst, covering her grin with one hand.  "Um, I'm okay.  I don't know how long Maya was planning to do this, really.  She just asked me and Nylat to help out earlier today, you see," she explained when Raphael questioned her about how long they had the renovation planned.
"Hmm?  Oh, it's fine," Kioko responded when Dravius mentioned her arm.   "Still sore, but it's not too badly hurt or anything.  I can use it if I don't try to stretch too far, or carry anything heavy," the pyro continued, a little baffled by the co-master's sudden change in speech pattern.  "Are you okay?  You seem kind of... worked up," she asked.
"You did plenty, Kioko," Maya laughed, stopping short to look at Dravius as he addressed the girl, and managing to look a little concerned about it. Half because of the subject with Kioko, and the Co-Master's lapse into his old speech. She wasn't entirely sure what to make of it, simply because the last time he'd slipped into it was just before Break's death. He wasn't using the same tone, however, sounding pretty much just like the kid version of himself.
The tall males last question caused the butterfly winged teen to shake her head, looking more confused. It seemed like a really weird, and out of the blue thing to ask. Simply because Selvai couldn't be seen didn't mean he wasn't there. Not to mention, Dravius had been pretty tied up in his van a few seconds ago. Sighing quietly, Maya idly reminded herself that, it was probably normal. It was afterall, Dravius. He seemed to have trouble focusing on any one thing when he was excited.
Sighing again, she watched him leave, pulling her gaze away only to look at his van, gleeming black in the string sunlight. Raphael, who had smiledi n response to Kioko's explanation about the beforehand planning, had gone on to watch Dravius up until the point he left. He then snorted quietly, grinning at Kioko. "If you think of Dravius as nothing but a big kid, it'll make far more sense as to why he talks like that when he's... Happy."
The Ring-Master blinked, then laughed quietly. "I'm surprised he shot off like that, though. I''dve thought he'd have wanted to spend more time around this thing." He patted the side of the van, the paint now dry, before looking between the three females around him. "So. Do any of you have plans today?"
Maya shook her head in response. "Not really... I dont think... I wasn't planning much beyond this." She gestured to the van, smiling a little. "Though I should probably go look for Dravius." She added, looking at her wrist, before waving and heading off in the general direction Dravius had left.
It took her all of five minutes to find him, but before she could address him, she caught sight of Selvai and his hair. Trying her best not to laugh, she walked over, arms still crossed behind her as she smiled at the magician, managing to catch his last words. "Good morning, Selvai." She greeted, her voice completely normal despite the fact she half biting her lip. She eventually just gave up and laughed quietly. "Whatever made her want to cut your hair so suddenly?... And I can do it for you, if you want... Or Dravius can. He tends to do his own most of the time anyway. He should be used to it" She smiled, gesturing at the Co-Master.
Raphael, having watched Maya leave, looked back towards the other two before suddenly looking a little surprised. Damn. He'd forgotten completely about those new members, and he distinctly remembered being told about them, too. Looking at Kioko, he then looked up at Nylat. "Do either of you know anything about our new additions?... Or where I might find them, even. I have yet to meet them." He laughed.
Dravius waved away the handle of the scissors, still tittering a bit. "Well, I agree wi' 'er. I'm surprised no one's taken you as an ugly woman by now." He snorted, adding bluntly, "Why not just put it into a french braid?" He pulled his box of candy out of his pocket and popped a gummy something into his mouth, shifting it into one side of his mouth the talk. "Well, I can cut i' righ' here. D'you want i' real short or so you can spike i' or summfink?" He swallowed what was left of the candy and pulled a pair of hair shears out of a pocket near his calf, wiggling them.
"Although, we could always get Ny to do it. She'll get a kick out of it, and I could stitch you up afterwards." Dravius said, grinning lopsidedly. He had eaten decidedly too much sugar, and his good eye's pupil was larger than it should be. He blinked and said, a bit concernedly, "Y'know, maybe I shouldn't do it right now..." He trailed off and offered the scissors to Maya handle first. "I believe I've ingested entirely too much candy right now." He grinned at the young woman again, sharp teeth glinting. "Hey. Question. How much would it hurt to get the inside of your cheek tattooed?" He tapped the outside of his own cheek, and added, "'Cause both of those kids had one, and I have one, and I couldn't feel it, and obviously I can't ask them and..." He trailed off when he realised he was rambling, his smile stopping along with his words. "Well." He coughed a little awkwardly, running his fingers through his hair once.  "Y'know, nevermind. I don't know why I asked you." He coughed a few more times then stretched his arms over his head, arching his back and yawning. "Mmmmnnntired."
Maya looked at Dravius when he spoke, still smiling amusedly at Selvai and his rather unusual hair cut. The ex
pression however faded a little as she caught sight of the Co-Master popping a sweet into his mouth, rolling her eyes a little as she went back to focusing her gaze on the Magician. Well. At least now she had a reason for his... Hyper-activeness.
Half sighing, half pouting, the butterfly winged young woman went back to tugging on the gauze around her wrist, the orange material now slightly loosened by a few days of constant pulling around. The sore sort of feeling was really beginng to bug her, and she took the offered scissors with her other hand, glancing at them before looking up at Dravius. She was still pouting somewhat.
"I think I agree with you," She stated with a quiet snort, reaching over to take the candy box from Dravius' other hand and holding it away from him, blinking at his question. "I... What?... What tattoo?" She asked, automatically glancing towards the Co-Masters cheek with a confused face. "I didn't know you had... A tattoo." She had still been contemplating that idea when the tall, dark haired male cut short, and she shook her head. "I don't know why you asked me either." She agreed, smiling a little in spite of herself before raising her eyebrows at Selvai, clearly still very confused by this whole thing.
Catching Dravius' stretch and yawn, she exhaled slowly through her nose, then prodded him sharply in the side. "You should go lay down for a bit... Maybe more than a bit.. Test your new bed. Before you start scaring people with the way you're acting. Oh, and, on your way, you might want to pick up that basket of yours. I was going to get it for you this morning but..." She shrugged, lips twitching, then walked over to Selvai, still holding the scissors and candy box in her un-gauzed and non-aching hand. "It should still be outside the food van... Unless someone's taken it inside."
Looking at himm for a moment, she then turned to look at Selvai, fighting back another amused smile at his hair. "Want to sit down?... It'll be easier than reaching up there. It might end up worse than it is." She giggled.
Dravius raised his eyebrows at Maya's surprise. "Huh. I never told you. Well. Uhm." He coughed again, the ex
pression on his face slightly sheepish. "I have a tattoo." He said bluntly, the opened his mouth and pressed his tongue to the top of his mouth, saying with slightly muffled words, "It's old. Like....nine years old." He shrugged and closed his mouth, then tapped his hip. "I had one here, but I got rid of it a few years back." He shrugged, then looked down at his hand, looking mildly surprised that he was no longer holding a box full of sugar. "Wha...?" He looked at Maya's hand and then back to his, pouting slightly at the young woman.
The tall male batted at Maya's hands as she poked him, insisting, "I'm fine. If I sleep, I'll just end up more tired. I scare people anyways. I think it's the height, mostly. Looming over people can't make them feel very comfortable." Dravius muttered, crossing his arms and rocking from one foot to the other. "Hey, d'you need anything for your arm?" He flicked a hnad towards the wrapped limb, tilting his angular face to the side and adopting a quizzical ex
pression. "Bas...ket." He looked even more confused, then exclaimed, "OH! The one from when we were gonna go to the river? I'm sure someone's picked it up by now." He shrugged and looked at Selvai, snorting again, then turning away again. "Sorry Selvai, I just really ca't take you seriously like that. It's really wonderful, actually." He grinned crookedly at the rather disheveled magician, sticking his hands in his pockets.
"Never bring that horrid drink here again."
"It tastes of blue, not the river-dwelling reptile, as I had thought."
"Excuse me, but I am not a woman, ugly or otherwise," the magician said icily.  "And I don't want to wear my hair in a french braid, that's why.  If I was going to tie it back, I would just use one of my clips."  Selvai edged away from the co master at his offer to cut his hair, eyes widening a bit when he pulled out the shears.  "That's quite alright... I'm sure I can find someone else to deal with it.  There's no need for you to attempt anything that involves sharp objects.  Especially around me."
He breathed an audible sigh of relief when Dravius offered the scissors to Maya, smiling at the  blonde woman in appreciation.  "I do believe she has a point...  You are acting a bit odd," he told the co master.  He turned his attention back to Maya at her question, looking around for anywhere he could sit while the blonde dealt with his hair.  Spotting a nearby van, he gestured toward the van stairs. "It would make it easier, that's true.  I suppose the owner of that van wouldn't mind if we used their van steps for a few minutes, would they?"
"How tragic," he deadpanned when Dravius commented once again on his hair.  "How shall I ever continue, knowing that you think my hair is odd looking, Dravius?"
------
"Sorry, I haven't seen either of them today, Mister Raphael," Kioko told the circus master.  "I could go looking for them, if you want?"
The white haired girl was saved from having to search for the pair of newcomers when Erik sauntered around the corner, waving when he spotted the group in front of Dravius' van.  "Hello all!" he called out as he closed the distance between them.  "Good to see you again, little snowflake," the shifter said cheerily as he patted Kioko on the head. "And there's Nylat!" he continued as he caught sight of the hybrid perched on the van roof.  He waved enthusiastically at her.  "How are the two of you on this lovely day?"
Stepping away from Kioko, the red head turned his attention to Raphael, smile widening as he took in the circus master.  "Oh, I didn't see you there," he purred, edging closer to the blonde.  Erik took his hand in both of his, shaking it enthusiastically.  He kept hold on it after he finished, rubbing his thumb over the circus master's knuckles slowly.  "Although, silly me, I don't know how I could have missed such a handsome face." Looking up at Raphael, the shifter tilted his head back, his smile changing into a self confident smirk.  "I'm Erik Docherty, by the way.  It's very nice to meet you."
 ((LOL. Erik. <333 I'll post for Raffy later. my brain just... Refuses to cooperate today. It took me HOURS just to type this up. o-o))
Craning her neck in order to catch a glimpse of Dravius' peculiarly placed tattoo, Maya could only look constantly surprised by it. "A... Number?" She asked, frowning a little as she settled back onto her feet, having previously been standing on her toes. She looked at his hip as he highlighted it, then raised her eyebrows. "How long ago?... I don't remember you ever talking about tattoos. Or needing to get rid of any either,"
She blinked at the tall, dark male, then pouted back when he stuck out his bottom lip. The young woman shook her head, smiling slightly as she added, "When I said rest, I didn't necas.sarily mean go to sleep. Just... Lay down for a bit. But it doesn't seem to matter, sugar runs through you like water." She giggled. "And people here are already used to you and your "looming height". I was talking about the way you act on a sugar high."
She snorted quietly at him, glancing at Selvai before looking back towards the Co-Master as he spoke again. "Uhm." She looked at her arm. "I don't... Think so. It just aches. I just... Overused it, I think. Moving all that stuff around this morning. But it's loose anyway, maybe I need a new bandage on it, huh?"
Maya went on to frown deeply at her arm as though it had done her a great injustice, looking back up at Dravius with a "Mhm" when he repeated the word basket. "Yeah. I said someone might have already taken it inside. It's probably in the food van if someone has taken it in." She looked back at the Magician the same time the Co-Master did, rolling her eyes with a slight smile as the dark male turned away. Poor Selvai. He was certainly having a bit of has.sle this morning, and no doubt Dravius would probably never let him forget about this, either. Sighing, she followed the Magicians gaze to look at the nearby van, before shrugging and smiling back at him. At his last comment, she snorted. "Dravius is pretty odd himself. He has no room to talk." She said quietly with a giggle, before responding to Selvai's question.
"Probably not. Here." Shifting the candy box and scissors into her gauzed hand, she used the other to grasp Selvai's own arm, tugging him along until they reached the nearby van stairs. Instead of waiting for him to sit, she took a few of the stairs, coming to a stop just a little higher than Selvai. "Just stay there for me." She said, reaching out to take a small amount of the Magicians' streaked hair. "It won't take long."
And it didn't. Maya managed with one hand to get Selvai's hair pretty much as it had been previously within ten minutes or so, only a little shorter due to Disera's intervention. Brushing the leftover hair from Selvai's shoulders, she jumped the stairs, picking up Dravius' small candy box from where she''d left it on the top one, and smiling over her shoulder. "There." She stated, handing the scissors back to Dravius before attempting to pull her orange gauze a little further around her arm. "I think that should be okay. At least it doesn't look as... Uneven." She added, her tone of voice still slightly amused.
Stretching her arms, she smiled hugely, glancing skyward. She hadn't really payed much attention to how hot it was with being so busy earlier, but now that she thought about it... It really was rather pleasant. And probably a good idea to go open the door for the butterflies. "Well." She said suddenly, looking at the Magician nd the Co-Master with a smile. "I need to go sort out my van. Just... Don't let Di near you with scissors in future." She said in Selvai's direction, laughing quietly. "See you later." Waving, she turned and sprinted for her van. Hot weather always got her in a good mood. Probably something to do with the butterfly in her.
As soon as she reached her van, she opened the doors in order to allow the butterflies out, before settling herself firmly on the roof and watching the little creatures as they created flurries of colour before landing pretty much everywhere.Maya wasn't in much of a rush to do anything, seeing as there seemed to be very little to do today anyway. She had, however, already decided to head to that river later, she still very much wanted to see it.
She closed her eyes for a moment as she allowed the suns hot rays to touch her skin, then simply went to watching a nearby sapphire butterfly crawl across the van roof, looking rather content. On a whim, Maya took out a small sugary sweet from the box she'd taken from Dravius and put it on the roof, watching the nearby butterflies come to investigate. The blonde couldn't help smiling at how amused they seemed to be, flutteing around the sweet smelling thing before actually attempting to get close to it, eventually fleeing to return a few seconds later and do it again. Pff. Butterflies.
" I told you. A little more than nine years ago." Dravisu shrugged and seemed mas.sively unconcerned about the tattoo. "Yup. A number. Two." He held up two fingers and wiggled them a bit, before slipping the hand back into one of his pockets. "It's not that bad." He snorted, crossing his long arms over his chest. "But if you want me to lay down, i will." The tall male still looked like he was only going to do so very grudgingly, one eyebrow raised as Maya snipped at Selvai's hair.
Dravius looked mildly annoyed at the young woman's comments, the corners of his mouth turning down slightly. "Well, it's a little hard not to be odd in a place like this, May." Dravius actually looked a little disappointed at the short amount of length that Selvai's hair lost, shifting from foot to foot and looking rather tired. He yawned hugely and blinked once or twice. "Bye!" He waved at Maya as she sprinted off, then furrowed his brows and said quietly..."She still has my candy. Why does she have my candy?" He walked off without saying goodbye to Selvai, with an uneven gait and hooded eyes.
Dravius eventually made it back to his re-done van to find people still clustered around the outside. He blinked lazily at Erik, who was...stroking Raphael's hand, which cause the Co-Master to riase an eyebrow and say slowly, "Raph's hand.....you're kind of fondling it." He waved a hand at Erik and yawned again, slipping past them to curl up on his bed and immediately falling to sleep, breathing deepening and twitching slightly in his sleep.
"Ah... That's okay. I'm sure I can find someone who knows something about their whereabouts." Raphael paused, his gray eyes flickering up to where Nylat sat on Dravius' van roof. "What about you?" He asked, pulling his gaze away only when he heard an unrecognised voice. Raising an eyebrow, he watched in silence as the red-head greeted both Kioko and Nylat, clearly having met them before at some point.
The Ring-Master's ex
pression didn't shift in the slightest as Erik finally seemed to acknowledge his presence, returning the shifter's shake with a slight smile, and blinking in a dazed sort of manner as the shorter male seemed to refuse to let go of his hand. Before he could so much as say, or do, anything else, the Co-Master's voice floated across the area in front of his done-up van. It was rather amusing how Dravius' ex
pression seemed to mimick Raphael's, shortly before the dark haired male dissappeared into his van without another word.
Very gently pulling his hand away from Erik's, the Ring-Master smiled as he usually did when confronted with a possible new member, (Although admittedly he already seemed to be one), though he still looked rather wary about the red-head's initial approach. "Pleasure to meet you, Erik. My name is Raphael, Ring Master of the Majikus." Having been so distracted by this... Quite frankly "In your face" male, the blonde had completely missed the arrival of Zyano, who had walked not far behind Erik and had watched the Shifter's actions with a barely concealed exasperation.
"You will have to forgive my friend here." Zyano murmered, sitting himself next to Erik's legs and doing his best to look somewhat submissive as Raphael turned to look at him, the blonde's ex
pression becoming intrigued. It was an instict thing that caused the hybrid to act as such, what with this blonde being the "Alpha" as it were. "He doesn't seem able to grasp the concept of "personal space"." He paused, then added, "My name is Zyano. Pleasure."
Raphael merely smiled, throwing a quick glance at Nylat before returning his gaze to the two new members. "So it would seem. And my goodness isn't this interesting. I wouldn't  have thought it all that possible to find another... Hybrid." He murmered, crouching to look at Zyano. "You both came here together, am I correct?... Why don't we head to my van?... I'd be... Rather interested to find out just what it is you can do." He glanced fleetingly at Erik here. Well. Zyano was one of those obvious cases. Erik on thre other hand, looked normal. He was obviously wasn't though, naturally.
Straightening himself to his full height, he grinned at the two of them. "Shall we?" He asked, before striding off in the general direction of his van. He waved over his shoulder at Nylat and Kioko as he walked away. Zyano watched him, looking fleetingly at Erik and the other two members, before lifting himself to all fours and padding after the Ring-Master.
~~~

It took only a few minutes for the single sweet on Maya's roof to become sticky with the heat, and the young blonde spent a good while trying to remove the half-melted sugar from the metal. A few of the braver butterflies had spent way too much time around it, and were now struggling to get their little legs free of the sticky stuff that had pooled in a tiny area around the sugary lump. Maya should have known really to keep them away from it. Silly little things they were.

Snorting quietly, she gently prised a small, amber and white coloured butterfly from the gloop, before releasing it to go flutter dizzily about, eventually landing a few centremetres away from the sticky area. "Don't even think about it." Maya murmured, cupping the little bug in her hands before dropping it on the other side of the van. Quickly slipping from the roof, she sprinted into the vehicle , leaving Dravius' box of candy inside and returning to the roof with a damp cloth. Thankfully, the amber butterfly seemed have lost it's energy by this point and was pretty much just walking around in a little circle.

Rolling her eyes, the young blonde very quickly wiped up the little sticky spot, before falling back to sit with her legs crossed, and going on to tie her hair back. It really was just too warm to have that much hair cover her. She managed to construct it so that it was pretty much just a loose knot on the base of her head, with a small stream of gold flowing over it that reached just below her shoulders. It kept most of it off her back, at least. She sighed with contentment, then looked off in the general direction where she believed the river to be. Throwing herself in river water sounded rather pleasant right about now.

At that moment, a dark shape strolling across caught her attention, and Maya craned her neck a little to look at it. It was Julian, probably doing Circus business, she as.sumed.

"Hi, Julian!" She called, waving her gauzed arm at him and causing the loose end to flutter. "Oops." She muttered, pulling her arm back down so she could tighten the material slightly. She smiled as she saw Julian wave in return, then laid out on her stomach, watching the nearby amber butterfly as it half-fell, half-fluttered from the roof.  Silly little things indeed.

"Nonsense.  I'm simply being friendly to a very attractive new friend," Erik responded as Dravius passed by.  When the tall male entered his van, the red head turned his attention back to Raphael, eyes shining wickedly.  "Unless, of course, you want me to fondle your hand, which I'm not opposed to.  We should probably move inside, though.  Don't anyone to be uncomfortable, you know."

The shifter made a small noise of disappointment when Raphael pulled his hand away, his smile fading somewhat.  "Hello, Raphael.  Ignore whatever the wolf tells you about me.  I'm well aware of what personal space is.  I'm just a naturally loving person, you see," he added, shooting a pouty glare at the hybrid next to him.  "We're an interesting pair," he continued smoothly.  "Although I'm sure you've seen more than a few persons with special gifts, being the leader here."

"Of course, I'd love to see your van, Raphael," he said, falling into step beside Zyano as the hybrid followed the circus master.  Looking over at Kioko, he waved cheerily at the pyro walking beside him.  "How are you today, little one?"

"Um, I'm okay," she said quietly, staring at the shifter with wide eyes.

"I'm glad to hear that," he said cheerily, ruffling Kioko's hair.  "I'd hate for anything to bother such a cute little snowflake."

"Um... you can call me Kioko, you know..."

"But snowflake suits you so much better.  Don't you think?"
