"Through the audience enterance, hmm?" Erik commented as he followed Raphael. The shifter stood to the side as the ring master stopped in front of the smaller tent and peered inside. He smiled sideways at Raphael when he saw the streaks of sunlight that broke through the fabric, and the various stalls set up in the entrance. "It's very pretty," he offered, gesturing to one of the sunbeams that slanted across the ground. Erik stepped inside the entrance, glancing behind him to make sure Zyano was following, then began strolling through, checking out the different types of stalls set up within. He paused every now and then, to see what was being sold at one. Most of them, however, the shifter walked past without stopping. He did however, occasionally shift into a copy of whomever was manning the stall, walking past the startled people with a wink and a teasing smirk. Finally making it to back of the tent, Erik paused beside the entrance to the main tent, waiting for Raphael and Zyano. "Well, let's get on with it," he called out them, rocking back and forth on his feet in excitement. --------- Kioko stiffened a little at the unexpected hug, relaxing after a second. "I know," she mumbled, eyes focused on her lap. She picked at the hem of her shirt as the co master returned to the ground and continued to speak. "It's been pretty obvious," the pyro answered, thinking back to her time so far with the circus and it's members. She smiled slightly as she remembered painting the van with Maya and Nylat, and the way the hybrid had used her tail as a brush when she'd helped. Kioko pulled her legs up from where they had been dangling off the side of the van, tucking her knees under her chin as Dravius began his rant. She frowned sharply once he was finished, letting out her own small huff. "Dravius," she said, voice quiet, but firm. "They were my parents. I know how they acted wasn't okay. You don't have to get enraged for me. I know I shouldn't make excuses for what they did, you don't have to tell me that." She gestured helplessly with one hand as she continued, although her voice was becoming less sure as she went on. "But, they're my mom and dad. Even with everything they did, that doesn't change."

"I know you're not used to it," Maya snorted in response to Dravius, her tone of voice slightly amused despite the circumstances. "All I'm saying is that you better not have completely destroyed it." She poked him one last time for good measure, before laughing and hugging him tightly around the waist. "I could never be mean to you. Not properly, anyway. Maybe just the odd... Moment." Maya grinned, allowing her arms to drop to her sides.
She watched Dravius carefully as he explained his previous, and somewhat irked, ex pression, her own mirroring a slight concern as he went on. Her eyes flickered over to Kioko, her own view being that maybe, just maybe, the poor girl hadn't really wanted this information divulged. Not that Dravius had really paid much attention to what Kioko might want... But that was the Co-Master for you. Never seemed to think first. Saying that... The pyro didn't seem to be the kind of girl to really bother with it... At least... She'd told Dravius, and that was something.
Sighing through her nose, the butterfly winged teen crossed her arms, brows furrowed slightly as she looked back towards Dravius. "I can't imagine it's easy," She said quietly, smiling slightly at the pyro before looking back at the Co-Master, now frowning a little. "Not if it's your parents, anyway... I mean. I never had to deal with that, luckily... And you-" She paused, then shook her head.
It had, pretty much, only just occured to her that, in truth... She knew very little about Dravius' past life. Before Break, that is. And whether or not he'd had parents like hers, or Kioko's. It was kind of hard to explain how it might feel to him, without knowing how his family was. The whole idea suddenly had the butterfly feeling slightly depressed. Did she really not know that much about Dravius?
Shaking her head quickly, she exhaled through her nose as Dravius managed to calm himself down a little. "Nevermind," She said, more quietly, before running a hand under the strands of gold over her eyes. She looked almost lost, up until the point Kioko spoke again, directing her gaze to the pyro still sat atop Nylat's van.
The butterfly listened in silence, looking momentarily surprised by the albino's firm tone. Maya spent a moment thinking, then frowned a little. "Huh... I can... Sort of understand, I guess..." She murmered. "I don't know... I've never had to put up with it but... I suppose I'd feel... Angry, maybe?... But you're right. She'd still be my mother either way." Shaking her head again, the blonde waved a hand agitatedly, her thoughts quickly becoming more negative. Really. She shouldn't let herself get worked up. Afterall, she'd seen this sort of thing almost every day. Most members of the Circus came from similar backgrounds to Kioko.
Sighing explosively, the young woman outstretched her arms, looking slightly worried as she crossed them. "Uhm. I'm gonna... Go find something to help with, I guess... I'll see you later." She murmered, throwing a quick smile at Kioko and Dravius before turning on her heel and walking away. She wasn't sure whether or not there was anything left to do. She just didn't particularly want to think too much about certain things being discussed.
Before Maya knew it, and without even realising, the blonde had ended up on the outskirts of the camp, glancing once over her shoulder to judge where she'd ended up before padding over to a nearby wall and clambering onto it. She eventually found herself, peculiarly enough, thinking again about Dravius and just how little she knew of his past. Or at least, his family. She wondered idly what his parents had been like, if he'd lived with them before ending up with, ugh... Break. Or whether, maybe, he had even known them at all. Maybe she should ask him at some point... Though somehow, she doubted he'd remember. She probably shouldn't let it bug her so much... Though admittedly it did.
Looking thoughtful, Maya's eyes wandered to the ticket booth some distance away, now closed due to the tickets having being sold. Well. She couldn't help out there then. Pouting, the butterfly turned her gaze skyward, before focusing on a nearby tree. It took all of a minute for her to end up in the lower branches, legs dangling and ankles crossed, her mind still very much elsewhere.

Dravius turned on his heel, focusing on Kioko as she talked seriously, running a hand through the front of his hair towards the crown of his head, making it stand up quite a bit, and said, "I realise that. Doesn't mean I can't get worked up." He took a deep breath and at least tried to fix his now very disheveled looking hairdo. "I just....hnnn." He made a strangled sort of noise and resumed his pacing back and forth in front of Nylat's van, hands in his pockets as he walked back and forth. His thoughts felt like a large, jumbled mess, and even he couldn't make much sense of them at this point, other than that expelling the nervous energy through his pacing would probably bebenificial. Still, he was visbly agitated, eyes fixed on the ground in front of him. Heaving another sigh, he closed his eyes, and with an effort stopped pacing and took a deep breath in through his nose. Since he had been more than a little distracted, he looked a little surprised when he opened his eyes and Maya had apparently fled. "What...?" He murmered, looking around. Dravius managed to look even more distraught, then simply climbed up onto the roof of the hybrid's van, sitting slumped and cross legged, his tall frame folded down. "I need to calm down..." He muttered, more to himself than Kioko. Leaning back on both hands, Dravius tilted his head back, feeling the sun on his face, then opened his one good eyes and looked at Kioko. "Sorry for freaking out. I just....hate it when people are hurt because of the way...they are. Mmmmn." He lay down on his back and rolled onto his side, moaning softly. "Sorryyyyy."
"Never bring that horrid drink here again." "It tastes of blue, not the river-dwelling reptile, as I had thought."

Selvai pulled a rubber band from his pocket, tying his shortened hair back as he walked through the circus grounds. Reaching his van, he stepped inside and dug through a stack of books beside his bed. He pulled out a few at random, looking at the titles before deciding on one. The magician left the van, carrying his book, and headed for the boundary of the circus grounds to find a quiet spot to read. He settled in under a large tree and began reading his book. Several pages in, a stray leaf drifted downward, landing on the open book, and Selvai flicked it away without thinking. A few more minutes passed, and he had gone back to reading when one of the branches overhead creaked slightly, and he was showered with leaves and several small sticks. Startled, he glanced up at the tree once the debris had stopped falling. A smiling, dark haired woman waved down at him before carefully climbing out of the tree. "Jemis?" Standing up, Selvai brushed the stray leaves out of his hair and closed his book. His fingers brushed one of the black lines close to his hairline, and he winced slightly at the reminder of his exilement. He watched his sister's face carefully as she approached, unsure what her reaction would be. "I see it's true, then. You managed to get yourself kicked out of the family," she said, stopping a few feet away. She crossed her arms in front of her chest, looking up at him. "Oh, calm down, I'm not going to attack you. If I cared about the family's rules I wouldn't have run off the first chance I got. I'm just here to check on you." Dropping her arms, Jemis busied herself with brushing small pieces of bark from her pants. "Make sure you're doing alright since you ran away from home to join the circus." He relaxed at that, smiling at her. "I am well. The people here are very kind. And more accepting of my strange circumstances than I would have thought at first." He closed the distance between them, hugging his sister tightly before letting go. Selvai stepped back, raising an eyebrow as a thought suddenly occurred to him. "How did you know to find me here, though? Not that I am unhappy to see you, but this is rather unexpected. Considering the lack of contact you have had with our family since you left." "Oh, that's not much of a mystery," Jemis said lightly, heading back to the tree. She walked halfway around the trunk and leaned down, pulling a duffel bag into veiw. Slinging it over one shoulder, she flipped her ponytail out of the way and turned back to Selvai. "See, I decided it had been too long since I last saw all of you, so I decided to pay a visit. Except, when I did, I arrived just as Cersis was limping back home, dealing with some very ugly stab wounds in his leg. It didn't take long to the story out of him." "Ah. I see." He braced himself as Jemis approached, an unpleasent look on her face. "You couldn't have calmed him down without hurting him?" She punched his shoulder angrily. "Those wounds were not inflicted by me," he protested. "Cersis attacked members of the circus, and provoked them into fighting with him. I did try to stop him, but he was too angry with me to listen," the magician explained quietly. Jemis exhaled slowly, eyes closed. "It figures," she mumbled, before opening her eyes again. "Well, since I'm here, you may as well show me around, right?" "Of course," Selvai answered. He felt himself smiling again as he turned and headed back to the circus grounds, Jemis following behind him.

Having spent the last ten minutes or so merely watching the sky, Maya had been paying scant attention to pretty much anything else. She was still feeling somewhat disheartened by the whole Dravius and Kioko issue. Or rather the issue being discussed between them. Well. That and the fact she was still wondering about the Co-Master and his family and past before Break. It was probably stupid to keep thinking about it though, she really should stop moping around. Though in reailty she'd probably let it bug her. It happened a lot.
Pouting at her own mental advice to just stop being stupid about it, the blonde sighed, reaching up with a hand to grasp the branch that lay just above her head. She had remained in the tree where'd she'd settled previously, and pulled herself into a standing position, stood with her eyes still town bound.
It was only then she noticed a figure in the distance, once she could only as.sume was Selvai, going by the hair and the fact that he was reading. He seemed fond of reading. Smiling, Maya shifted so that she was able to flare her wings in preparation to bring herself back down to earth, pausing when she caught sight of the magician a second time. This time, he wasn't on his own, the second person seemingly having appeared out of nowhere, and the butterfly dropped her wings again to just watch him, moving to rest her forearms on the branch in front of her.
It looked like a woman. Did he have a girlfriend?... Or maybe it was another member of that family of his? Or perhaps a visiting friend. Maya's first thought had been it was probably a new member, but they seemed to be getting on far better than that. She was pretty certain Selvai wouldn't hug a stranger like that, anyhow. Shaking her head, the young woman slipped from the branch, using her wings to get her to the ground safely, before running to a nearby small wall; One that was crumbled with age and situated just underneath another tree.
Watching quietly as the pair approached, Maya couldn't help but notice Selvai's ex pression. Huh. He certainly seemed happy enough to see this person. Pulling her wings firmly towards her back, she waved at him, calling, "Hey Selvai!" and trying to clamber over the wall towards him.
She paused a few feet away to look at Jemis, violet eyes curious, before raising an eybrow at the male in front. "Who's your friend?" She asked, smiling slightly. She was part genuinly curious, part glad that she had something else to focus on that what had been bothering her earlier. No doubt it''d bother her again though. She'd talk to Dravius later. Shaking her head, she returned her gaze to the taller woman. "Hi," She greeted, smiling, crossing her arms loosely behind her.
