((Not much has happened. Raphael and Dravius had a talk. The others are eating breakfast. If Andrew needs something to do, Maya's still there. xD I find it so amusing that Dravius can play instruments. Considering Maya can sing. I see a great double act. 8D If they ever get over this little pitfall. D< I say little... It's actially huge. *Flails in frustration*))

Nylat, finding no use in laying around all day, and not really wanting to walk back to camp, heaved herself to her feet, gently taking the pelt in her teeth before setting off at a trot. She wanted to talk to Maya. Not nessacerily about what happened, but just...talk to her. She missed her cheerful friend, and hoped to somehow bring it back out. As she continued on, her mind wandered, and she almost tripped a few times. But eventually, she caught sight of Maya, and she picked up her pace a bit, becoming increasingly happier as she approached her. Her tail was wagging much like a dog and her ears were pricked. Her eyes also held a joyful shine in them as she set down her pelt. "Hello Maya. Feeling any better?" ~~ Kanec shrugged. "Most of them already know how to shift. But I may still need to teach them a thing or two. i myself still have things to learn. I only just recently got a new shift. And I've been shifting for as long as I can remember." He flicked his tail, a bit hungrier, but not to the point where he wanted another steak.

Julian leaned back in his chair so that he balanced on two legs, one eye watching Kanec eating the steak. He sighed, then looked at Spider, an eyebrow slightly raised. "I don't believe we have an ability like that here as of yet, how intruiging," He murmered.
At that moment, Raphael entered, his face unreadable as he stopped just behind Kanec, nodding in greeting to Spider, Kioko, Kanec and Jazz. "Julian?" He asked in a forward manner. "Mind taking Maya's performance spots this week?... I don't really think she's all that up to it... All things considered,"
Julian nodded in response, just as a mournful and captivating melody permeated the van walls. Raphaels eyes flickered to the door, Julian allowing his chair to stand on all four legs. The two shared a look, before the Ring Master walked to the door, his eyes focusing on the distant Dravius.
"This doesn't bode well," Julian said.
Raphael frowned. "I know," ~~~ Having had her head in her hands for awhile, lifting her eyes caused Maya to flinch slightly, raising her good arm to cover her eyes for a few seconds while her sight adjusted. She shifted slightly, glancing over her shoulder towards where the camp lay, her attention caught by the melody floating across the field.
Her attention however, was immediately pulled back by Nylat's voice, the familiar sound almost seeming to jerk the teenager back to reality; All her previous feelings crashing in on her at once. Folding her arms over her stomach, she gritted her teeth in an attempt to stop herself falling apart again. "Fine," She murmered, her voice betraying any lie she could have told, ignoring the aching in her left arm. She sighed, then glanced at her broken wrist, now wrapped tightly in white gauze. The pressure she'd been placing on her arms had opened the stitches of the gash on her upper arm, causing a streak of bright red to taint the once white bandage.

Nylat, hearing her voice, instantly sombered. Her ears drooped, and her tail was still, her eyes were worried. She took a step forward and butted her head lightly against Maya's leg, like a cat wanting attention. Only, for Nylat, it was more of a comforting action. The hybrid then took a few steps to the side and leapt with a lightness not thought of by one of her size, onto the wall. Unable to sit, she just laid her head on Maya's shoulder, whining softly. "Lying's not a good thing, you know." Her eyes were soft, and her voice compas.sionate. She glanced at Maya's arm, a spark of panic flashing through her for a moment.

Jazz looks to Raphael and then away for a brief moment.Guilt seems to be written all over her face as she remembers the incident with Shizu and groans a bit.She hated remembering that even if she knew it was partially her fault that the incident had occured.Shaking the troubled thoughts away she tried to focus on the conversation that was going on. Ria realizing the rain had started to come down, began to look for a dry spot. She was drenched and panicked as she look for somewhere to get dry.She hated rain like this. She'd get all muddy and it was a horrible, icky feeling. She decided to rely on her reflexes from when she used to steal and was dodging trouble constantly. She saw a van nearby and broke into a sprint before jumping, and grabbed onto the top and pulling herself up.Sure, the van had shook a bit but she figured it'd be fine. She then began to look to see where she could get dry."Where to go..."She mumbled. (( Thar. She can be on top of the van everyone is in.xD It's all like "So wha--*THUD*The heck?!" Ya know?xD ))

[[ Nevermind, shes already got someone there~ X3 ]] Andrew looked up as the rain came down, it hit his face. It was ice cold and stung, sending shivers down his spine. He looked down and started walking toward the vans, taking his sweet time. He liked walking in the rain, it was one of the very few things he still did like. He felt like the rain cleansed him, if that wasn't a crazy thought what was? His hair was soaked in a matter of a few moments, his leather outfit keeping the rest of his body dry. He pulled up the sleeve of his injured arm and took off the white bandage, letting the clean water run over the new stitches and clean it a little. He sighed, knowing that he was going to have to deal with this later, he could feel the infection already. He leaned against a random van, letting the rain fall on him as he looked down at his outstretched arm.

[[aw heck. i'm sure Yama wont bother too many people. except you Andrew.]] Spider finished off his pancakes, listening to Kanec. A new shift, huh? He wondered how hard it was to deal with. He was glad his form was his own and couldn't be changed in to anything else. "I guess you never really finish. Learning, that is." He didn't see how anyone could. There were too many things to learn anyway. He merely nodded quietly at Julian. On the inside, however, he was quite shocked. No one else? No one at all? That was a bit unsettling. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad being a shifter after all. At least he wouldn't be alone. Julian was busy talking to Raphael again, so he couldn't ask if he was absolutely sure about the ability thing. Spider was a bit curious as to what was happening, but again, decided it wasn't his business. He stood and took his empty plate to where he a.ssumed the dirty plates belonged and set it with the other dirty dishes. The van moved a bit, and he looked up curiously. And in fear. What now? - - - She had been walking all day, and as she stopped, overlooking the circus, she smiled thinly in satisfaction. Nervous excitement was making her tremble, and she tried to quell it. They tried to hide him from her, but they were foolish to think she wouldn't find him. A brother... her brother. Her only sibling. Until a few days ago she had not known he had existed, but now that she did know she had one she felt cheated-- so many years wishing for a sister or a brother, and it she had had one all along. Her father would pay dearly for this betrayal, but at the moment, all she wanted to do was see her brother. Would he look like her? She wondered if he was stronger than her. Probably more talented. It would be nice to look up to an older brother and she glowed with pride at her vision of her would-be brother. If someone had heard her fantasy, and had met Spider... they would have a.ssured her that she was going to be very, very disappointed. Yama started walking towards the circus tents just as thunder crashed and rain began to fall. She stared up at it momentarily, baring her elongated teeth at the sky in a snarl. After a moments hesitation she pulled her sungla.sses from her face, and blinked her odd eyes at the vans. Better. She folded the gla.sses and put them in her pocket. It was a bit hard for Yama to walk around humans and remain hidden from prying eyes, but she managed it. On her back was a simple backpack, and in it were her few valuables. Most notably her cloak, which she longed for but resisted ripping out of the pack. As she came around one of the vans, she caught a whiff of blood. With interest, she wondered why such a scent would be on the air. Lovely, oozing human bloo-- her nose wrinkled in sudden disgust as she watched the rain dip into the poor stitches of Andrews wound. An infection. Disgusting. Spoiled. "You ought to get that cleaned, neighbor. It's starting to spoil." She said, her voice deep and soft, but somehow also like the icy shrieking of the mountain winds. She wondered if this man had seen anyone that look like her, and wondered if she could ask if he'd met a Blodwen at this circus.

[[ Oh no, poor Andrew. ]] Andrew looked up and let his arm drop to his side, frowning at the new arrival. How annoying, someone had noticed his arm. He looked her up and down and almost instantly thought of the male named Spider. He knew he was going to have to go and get some supplies and clean the wound. He refused to let others handle him, ever. "I'm am aware..." He replied, pulling the sleeve back down and over the wounded arm. "Do you want something or are you simply wasting my time?" Andrew asked coldly, upset that someone had seen his arm. He looked the girl up and down and automatically felt a dark vibe from her, then again he was a little off right now.

Dravius looked at the sky as thunder crashed, sniffling and wiping his eye on the heels of his hands. He went back to playing the sad melody, still crying slightly. He sawed away at the instrument slowly, spotting two figures in the distance that he didn't remember seeing before. "Hello there," Dravius sighed, lowering the volume of his music so he could be heard clearly, his head tilted against the glistening wet wood of his violin. "I don't believe I've met either of you," He added, the tears on his face mixing with the rain as he lowered the source of the melody. Rummaging in his pockets for a short time, he pulled out a roll of slightly damp gauze, a clay jar of salve marked, "Cleansing", and a few metal clips. "Here you are," The Co-Master said, balancing them on the body of his violin and holding it out to Andrew, smiling sadly. Dravius then turned to Yama and nodded, saying "You remind me of someone already in the Circus. Are you a family member? His name is..." He paused for a second, thinking hard. "Boris. His last name begins with a 'B', but I cannot rememeber exactly what it was. He preffers to be called Spider." ((Yama is going to be severely disapointed when she meets Spider.))

[[watch out Andrew she likes scrawny girly men stews. D: taste great. less fattening. And I know right? xD hah hah hah.]] Wasting his time? What of importance was he doing with his time? Standing in the rain like a moping girl. Hah! Wasting his time indeed. Yama was going to be polite, even wish him well after her brief greeting, but that was a rudeness Sh'Yama did not stand for. She had been polite, and he rude. It was only natural how she reacted. Baring her teeth at him, she stood at her full height. Which was quite impressive. "You should watch your tongue, human, if you would prefer keeping it behind your teeth." She said, just as coldly. For a moment, she realized she was letting this pathetic creature upset her, and calmed herself. No need to rip his tongue from his mouth, as much as that would please her. What would his eyes scream as he watched her eat it, she wondered? But Sh'Yama was not here to cause trouble-- unless it was asked of her. Was he ashamed of that wound? Should a man not feel pride at such an honorable affliction? Perhaps... it was not a wound gained through an honorable means. And was it arrogance or stupidity that kept him from shaking in fear? Was he not looking at her properly? She had been told she was quite unsettling. Maybe he had. But maybe he had the same veil over his eyes that most youths had. They all thought they were the smartest, the strongest-- and that they would never die. She enjoyed correcting these foolish thoughts. She was about to further threaten Andrew, when another figure walked up. One much more polite. But one that smelled just as badly of spilled blood. What was wrong with the people here? Yama suddenly worried for her brother. "Good day." She said, inclining her head in greeting. Suddenly excitement flooded her again at Dravius's words. Spider? Just Spider? Her heart practically swelled with joy. "Y-yes! I am his sister--" She had to stop talking, as she was being overwhelmed with emotion and had to turn away and wipe her eyes. She didn't view crying as a weakness, but it was bothersome. Voice thick with tears, she turned back to Dravius, though her eyes were now dry. "Where is he?" She could just hug this frail-looking boy until he snapped in two, she was so happy.

Kioko finished up the last of her pancakes as she listened to Kanec replying to the green cat that had asked about the pancakes. "Cats eat waffles?" she thought to herself when she heard Aicras' comment as she left. Kioko wondered if the creature was a shape-shifter like Kanec, or another hybrid like Nylat, but decided not to worry about it too much. "That sounds pretty neat, Spider," she told him softly when he explained his abilities. Having finished her food, Kioko followed his lead and walked over to the dirty dishes, reaching around to place hers with his, when the van was jolted by something jumping on the roof, and she lost her balance, almost falling over. "What was that?" she squeaked, looking upward. ((Braindeadness + College= Crappy post >_<))

Andrew noticed the blood lust that crossed her eyes and he whole body tensed and changed in front of him. He smirked, liking that reaction, the look in her eye. They shared a common emotion. He needed others like himself around here. He raised his hand about an inch upward, ready to defend himself if needed when another figure entered his vision. If she thought she was threatening, repulsing, or intimidating him she was very sadly mistaken. he could see in her eyes that she had killed before and he was very aware that she would have no trouble killing him if she wanted. If he let her. But he's killed plenty before as well, and he's seen worse than her. Especially if he steps outside of the boundaries that kept the figments of his imagination away. Andrew was surprised to see Dravius and wondered where his perceptive skills had gone. He was even more surprised when he pulled medical supplies out of his pocket. He took them gingerly from the violin, "Thank you." he stated out of shock. He couldn't remember the last time he'd said those words. A while. He was also curious. "You carry medical supplies around with you in your pockets?" He asked quietly, he didn't need an answer but that was an interesting subject he had to admit. Perhaps there was a specific reason? He held the medical supplies of of the rain as much as possible, deciding to doctor his arm later.

"Indeed I do," Dravius answered Andrew, going back to playing his violin, adding after a second or two, "I tend to accidentally hurt myself a lot. You see, I can't feel it." He looked at Yama through eyelashes framed with rain, pointing with his bow to the food van, murmuring, "I believe he's eating pancakes and apricots." "He's in the food van. You would be welcome to visit, or if you have a wish to, you can stay with the Circus. I am the Co-Owner, Dravius Wolfe." The teenager said, shaking the water out of his hair gently. "You seem very different from him, not to offend. Spider is rather timid." Dravius put his violin under his arm, still looking impossibly sad. "I never did get more than an apple. I belive I shall follow to the food van." Putting the violin back under his chin, he played nearly the impossible, a sadder tune that what had floated in the air minutes before.

Andrew nodded, he would go crazy if he could not feel pain. he thrived on it and it kept him sane. If he could call it that. "Well, thank you again." Andrew nodded to him, those words feeling weird to say but they were only words and acknowledging his superiority. Another quick flash of pain streaked up his arm again, making his adrenaline race. Pain. He blinked, feeling dizzy suddenly and leaned a little heavier into the van which just happened to be the food van. Did he have a fever? Wonderful. He breathed heavily threw his nose, steadying himself. [[omg wouldn't it be just wonderful if Andrew p*censored*ed out X3 ~]]

[[So... so emo... must hug Dravius... and don't worry Mychelle. D: Yama just makes me want to write lots. your post is fine. yess. yes it would. OMNOMNOM ANDREW. Sh'Yama likes her pancakes with an unconscious man draped over them. (if this was anyone else that sentence might be funny.)]] "I... I don't know." Spider said, looking up. After nothing else happened, however, he relaxed, and listened to the rain. "Maybe it was... thunder?" Though he doubted that could shake a van. His attention was already back on Kioko, however. "You think so?" Spider asked, smiling shyly. "I never found much use for it... except to bug my cousins." He laughed nervously, rubbing the back of his neck. - - - She turned from Dravius to stare coldly at Andrew. Was that amusement? It was stupidity, then, she conceded. Probably not right in the head, either. New and intense pity for Andrew came over her, (which she made completely evident on her face, in hopes of disgusting him) now realizing he was just a madman who thought himself... what, strong enough to face her? Yama could almost laugh, or perhaps slap his hand like a mother would a child, telling him "No." because if she didn't... well the poor baby would hurt himself. She still wanted to rip his guts out of his chest and decorate the ground with them, but decided that would either be too cruel-- or too kind. And she didn't like either. Yama wondered if anyone would miss him... probably not, with a personality like that. Not needing to acknowledge his pitiful existence anymore, she nodded at Dravius. The Co-Owner? She would imagine someone... stronger in body and mind to be the leader of such a place. Co-owner or not. Live in this place? And be around... fools such as this other? She'd rather throw herself on her blades. But perhaps not all of them were as stupid as Andrew. At Dravius's words, she turned her head slightly in confusion. Timid? She couldn't comprehend what he was saying. He couldn't mean timid by saying... timid... her brother, timid? Pancakes? She would not pa.ss judgement on such a decision. Sh'Yama enjoyed pancakes as well. What she put on them, however, was probably radically different. She could smell them, now, amidst the rain, and she walked toward the van. She heard a wheeze behind her, and hoped the infection was crippling the dumb one. Yama was about to leave them behind and enter the van, but stopped. What a horrible song. Music. Sh'Yama had no taste for it. Especially when it spoke of such weak sorrow. Heart still open to this fellow for telling her of her brother, she had to ask. "What ails you, such that you can only speak it with that instrument?" Yama asked. She didn't think once that she was butting in on someone elses business. If it wasn't, she'd just make it her business. She glanced at Andrew, and raised an eyebrow, as if to ask "Where's your fight now? Giving up so easily?"

Dravius stopped his song abruptly as Yama asked her question, blinking slowly. "What ails me is soemthing foolish that I wish I did not feel, that goes by the name of a heart," He looked at Andrew's wrists, and said with a sigh, "It doesn't help in the long run," He rolled up one of his sleeves, revealing dozens of white, raised, and criss-crossing scars. "Just short term." Dravius faced Yama again, tilting his head to the right, shaking the water off of his instrument. "I should wonder, what is your name? I suppose your last name is..." The Co-Owner snapped his fingers, recognition dawning as he said, "Blodwen, correct?" The Co-Owner slipped past Sh'Yama into the van, pointing back at her with his violin bow, saying, "Spider, your sister is here to see you," Moving farther into the van, he grabbed another apple and set his violin on a table, using his free hand to balance a plate of sausages on his palm.

((So, she likes mancakes, Grayvs? lol)) Kioko made sure her plate wasn't going to slide off the the stack of dirty dishes in case the van shook again. Not good having sharp shards on the floor, since Nylat and the other hybrids walked around without shoes on. "Maybe it was just the storm," she muttered in response to Spider. "And, well yes, your ability is pretty useful, Spider," she answered him in her low voice. "I mean, mine is pretty, sure, but it takes alot of concentration to use it for more than a few moments. And I lose control too easily, like you saw yesterday. Being able to move things around without touching them and sit on the ceiling seems alot better than accidentally burning someone."

Shadows, he was seeing shadows. he was getting ill. Weak. He couldn't get weak, not now, not ever. He opened his odd eyes, and focused them against their will. Wisps moving at the edges of his vision, he frowned, not wanting to face them again. Why wouldn't they leave him alone? He looked at the violin, glaring at it, he didn't like the sounds it was making, too depressing. He then glanced up at Dravius, a whole bundle of mixed emotions in his eyes as he inspected his arm. Fear? Anger? Confusion? Maybe sadness... sadness that he had had to result in this to keep himself slightly sane. He looked down and away from him as he left. The he felt eyes on him and looked up at the female whos name he had missed or hadn't been stated yet. "Yes?" He asked, if she was going to make a move he wished she would do it quickly, and get her lust out of the way. "Its really quite rude to stare my dear." He said quietly, that being that nature of his voice. Quiet and calm. He turned away from her in resignation, going to fix his arm somewhere were someone wasn't standing over him. At this rate everyone in the circus would know of his arms. He didn't care what she thought, she was nothing to him at any rate and did nothing for him to think that he had any sort of skill or backbone. he had plenty and didn't need to flaunt it. What he needed was to keep himself from p*censored*ing out around here and fox his arm. Sonya rubbd against his back in the most familiar and comforting way as he left.

[[MANCAKES. xDD]] Sh'Yama almost snorted, but muffled it with her hand as she brushed water from her hair. Why do so many feel shame for feelings? A heartache, is that what he meant? Be proud of such a feeling. It hurts. But it means you are... "human". She could not say this out loud, however. Not wanting to judge him too soon. But surely he had people who loved him who were trying to help. Sh'Yama could not say the same, which is probably why she despised people feeling sorry for themselves. She thought about how Dravius said he could not feel pain. Earlier she had dismissed it, for she was too excited. She stared at the scars on his arms in masked disgust. Sh'Yama had scars, and she was proud of them. But not scars like that. Not scars born out of weakness. "You do feel pain." She said, and made a motion at her chest. "No different than the rest of us." It was all that she could think to say on the matter. Heartache was not one of her strong points. She'd never loved anyone before. "I am known as Sh'Yama. And that is correct, Blodwen." She watched him call to her brother, and inwardly winced. He was not aware he had a sister. She wondered how he would react. Impatiently, she cleared her throat at Andrew. "Rude? As if you have the right to accuse me of such a thing. You're not looking to hot, dear." She repeated his use of the word "dear" in a mocking fashion. "Don't ruin my meeting with my brother. You wont have to worry about pain or infection ever again." But she could tell, by the blankness in his eyes, that he wasn't all there anymore. She was glad when he moved away. Good riddance. She hoped he died in a ditch. - - - Spider nodded. "That's true... but, at least you can keep people warm... and have toasted marshmallows whenever you want. Mine can hurt people too, you know." And he could get away with it. "I could drop something heavy on someones head on accident, which is likely... I'm not very good." He had been listening to the sorrowful tune of the violin without noticing. That was, until it stopped. He looked toward the van door, curious. Dravius came in and said... sister? His sister? He must be mistaken. Spider didn't have a sister. He stared blankly at Dravius. "E-err, what?" He asked, looking to Kioko as if she had the answer. But Sh'Yama was already coming into the van, ducking low and brushing rain from her shoulders. She looked around with an expectant ex pression, eyes trailing over the occupants of the table. Finally, she looked at the back. Her eyes stared uncomprehendingly at the scrawny, terrified, pale boy staring at her. For a moment, she just stood there. Spider's mouth was opening and closing, like a fish out of water. The eyes! He thought wildly. Neither moved. And then, just as suddenly as she stopped Sh'Yama stepped forward, tears welling in her eyes and grabbed Spider into the tightest hug he had ever endured. "My brother... he's real, he's really my brother!" Sh'Yama sobbed like a bitter child and Spider awkwardly patted her back, to shocked to do anything else. She could accept him any way he was. Even if he was pathetic. [[asdfghjk. bed time now. u-u]]
