 ((Ooooh~ Familiar statement. xD))

 Julian turned and looked at Selvai as he spoke, before looking back towards the wood. "Probably. Unfortunately, I don't think she wishes to be found. It's not the first time today she's left," He frowned slightly. He knew Nylat would keep an eye on her, as Raphael had asked her to do. Still, the girls situation seemed to have gone downhill pretty fast.

With a sigh, he watched as Gem emerged, fingering the pointed edge of one of his daggers. He longed to throw the metal weapon at the guy, he despised people who tried to get where it really wasn't any of their business. Maya had had it bad enough, and he'd just made it worse. Clearly, Julian was going to need to speak to Raphael. He wasn't so sure keeping Gem here would be a good idea, but his own opinion of the guy probably made him biased. Not that he cared.

When Dravius approached, he was about to speak, before the Co-master had to leave, yet again, thanks to whatever Gem was doing. "Idiots" He murmered in general distaste of everyone involved in the last day or so, before looking at Zinc and Selvai. "Perhaps we should head to the main tent, hm?"

~~~
Having introduced the Circus to the now bustling tent, Raphael sat with his legs crossed backstage, his eyes on the first performer, who had a bit of an affinity with the earth element. He'd quite literally turned the Ring into a rainforest, the audience completely taken in by the stunning surrealism of the place.
He smiled slightly in spite of himself, placing his head on a hand, his eyes flickering to the tent entrance when Dravius emerged. He grinned and asked. "So, did he do much damage?" He paused however, when he saw Dravius' face. Hmm?... Well, there was only so long you could know Dravius without getting used to his subtle emotions. "What's up with you?" He asked with a riased eyebrow, leaning forward slightly as a noise of awe came from the main Ring.
Nylat, flicing her ears back and growling at Gem, was about to deal with him herself when Dravius did so. Somewhat glad she hadn't had a go at him--she'd probably end up in trouble--she leapt swiftly from the van, bounding off across the grounds. She didn't even try to track Maya. It would be useless. It was just luck that she'd been able to track her this much. There was a slight annoyance about all of the running she was doing--she'd be sore in the morning--but it was more at herself. She could walk, yes. But she decided to run. She wouldn't be suprised if this over-exertion caused her to slightly open one of the sensitive wounds. It'd happened before. There was nothing saying it couldn't now.
She slowed to a walk, not wanting the worst to happen, and continued on, quite noisly. After all, if Maya didn't want to be found, Nylat would respect that, and search until the days stopped turning. Glancing up from the ground, she noticed a rather familiar bush--a hibiscous. Gently taking the stem of one of the flowers in her teeth, she broke it off, and continued, flower carried in her jaws. A gift. Simple, but still a gift. The hybrid whined a bit, sitting down. She flicked her ears--still laid back--and set the flower down. She was a ways from the Circus, as her power lent her speed and she covered a nice amount of distance in short time frames, and figured that Maya couldn't have gone too far. She whined again, a bit louder this time, hoping that maybe she was nearby. Again, if she didn't want to be found, she wouldn't respond to the hybrid.
((I'm leaving this up to you, <3))
((Aww... What kind of a situation have you put me in... xD Maya doesn't want to be found but... Nylat. I love how persistant she is. <33))
Dozing slightly, her back against the tree, Maya opened her eyes wearily at the sound of whining. The sound, naturally, was so familiar it actually took her a moment to realise what she was hearing. She glared at the forest floor, anger still apparent in her gaze, but shifted so that she wasn't quite so uncomfortable.
She wanted to be on her own, but she knew it wouldn't last. She'd been surrounded by the members of the Circus too long for that, and besides, Nylat was too stubborn to shake off that easily. With a resigned sigh, she closed her eyes again, then winced, letting loose a quiet whistle that would alert the hybrid to her presence.
Well... There was only so long she could run, she supposed. Still, she probably wouldn't feel at ease knowing the glow-eyed guy was still at the Circus, and she was still determined to stay away from the place.
((Brainfail. o~o))
Nylat's ears flicked up, seemingly of their own accord, when she heard the whistle from somewhere behind her. She carefully took the flower in her teeth before standing and padding toward where the whistle had been heard. She padded up slowly behind the tree, and, careful to not trod on the splayed-out wings, came up beside Maya, setting the flower in her lap before laying down, her side against Maya, puring softly. She'd let Maya talk first, if she wanted. Nylat was tired of pushing things to change, and at this point, just wanted it to go back to normal.
[[bah don't wait for zombie. zombie is dumb and has nothing to post.]]
 Sniffing, Spider locked up his suitcase and stood.  There was no use brooding on the past. In fact, if brooded on longer he could unintentionally turn into one of those awful bad guys with the tragic back-story, and he had been taught to frown on cliches.
Truly, his studies could have gone over things more important... but, oh well. Brushing his hair out of his face he stood and stared blankly at the lights and noise coming from the circus tents. He gave them a wide berth as he made his way back to where he thought he had left Zinc and the others.
While he walked around, feet squelching in some splotches of mud here and there, he heard a faint whisper, and stopped, head turning slightly. After a moment, he realized that the whisper was in his head. It wasn't all that odd. His cousins had the tendency to get in his head like that. He couldn't understand what was being mumbled into his minds ear, however, and after a moment the sound ceased.
Puzzled, Spider stood hand reaching up as he tugged at his ear in thought. His eyes swept over the dark shapes of vans without recognition, and then he spotted a shimmer of pink and his eyes rolled upward, almost without his consent. What a silly color to have for your hair. Spider walked up to Zinc, relieved that it was less crowded now, though there was someone new he didn't know standing nearby. "I'm tired." he said, glibly, and pa.ssed a hand over his eyes.
"Oh, it's just Gem." The co-woner answered Raphael, waving a hand slightly. "He's already burned my drum stand, and was trying to melt the hinges to the door before I stopped him. Said it was a 'Scientific observation'," Dravius made air qoutes around what Gem had said, sarcasm heavy in his voice. "What slot am I in tonight?" He asked, rubbing the scab where he had split his lip. "Seems like the town is charitable enough, eh?" He added with a slight smile, scratching a place behind his ear.
Dravius coughed slightly into the crook of his elbow, looking towards the smiling faces in the stands as they clapped for the member in the ring. There were an exeptional amount of children in the stands. There weren't usually many kids that saw the Circus, due to the time it started and ended, and the fact that the show was not exactly kid-friendly.
"I do hope no one hurls during this one." Dravius remarked, pulling his hair away from his face and gathering it all at the back of his neck. "Got any scissors? Wait, nevermind," The boy said, pulling a pair of scissors out from the long black box that contained his show items, along with a long, slender mirror.
Working quickly, Dravius cut his hair short, to the point where the ends of his hair, not cut quite straight, brushed the top of his eyebrows, and still covered the tips of his ears. the back of his neck was partly obscured, but it was an alright clip job for about five minutes of work.
Tugging on one last hank of white-silver hair, Dravius cut it and nodded, stating with some satisfaction, "Much better. I can see, which helps when you're doing something that's lethal."
((Dravvy can time skip to his act if he wishes. :3))
Raphael raised his eyebrows at the Co-Master, sighing quietly and leaning back against the tent canvas, once again crossing his legs. His gray eyes moved to the ring, and his gaze survayed over the audience as he spoke. "Mm. You really do need to keep an eye on that one," He murmered, frowning sideways at Dravius.
After a few moments, he stood from where he sat, shifting his shoulders and yawning. The red, open front hoodie he wore revealed the splendid tribal marks of his birth tattoo, stark against the colour of his skin in the dimmed light. "I'm pretty sure someone will," Raphael replied bluntly to the younger males remark about people hurling. Well... With an act like Dravius', it was to be expected, along with the occasional faint. The Circus always had people on hand to deal with this sort of situation though, special healers and the like. Besides, it wasn't like the Circus had people enter unaware, Raphael always made a special point of letting people know exactly what could be expected. He shrugged lightly, watching the Co-Master deal with his shock of white hair, a small, amused smile on his face.
He chuckled quietly at the boys last words, then nodded. "I suppose it would, at that, and your slot is just before our last," He replied, crossing his arms behind his back and watching as the performing member brought his act to a close. With a shake of the head, he glanced at Dravius. "Gimme a second," He said, grinning, before walking into the Ring and once again addressing the audience. Once he'd introduced the next act, he walked back into the backstage area, flopping onto the seat he'd occupied previously. "Tonights a pretty short show, so you should be out there soon," He said pas.sively, yawning again.
~~~

With a somewhat irritated shrug, Julian started towards the main tent, pausing just long enough to look over his shoulder at the arrival of Spider. Well, atleast he hadn't got lost on his way to retrieve his things... At the moment, looking for a lost Circus member wasn't really what they needed. The black haired male glanced over the bustling Circus grounds, pulling his dark eyes away from the group, his face expressionless as he simply watched.

Exhaling slowly, he looked back towards Zinc, Spider and Selvai. Whether or not they'd settle into the Circus remained to be seen, because despite how they all seemed, these new faces and the Circus members were entirely different. Every member of the Circus was a human being, either with a physical peculiarity or an ability beyond "normal" comprehension, with the exclusion of Nylat. These people however, we're unusual on a different level. Zinc for example, wasn't human at all, but rather a creature existant only in stories... Not really counted the fact he actually existed. Spider, wasnt entirely human, but some sort of mix, and Selvai. Well, he was some kind of sorcerer from what Julian could distinguish. He frowned only slightly in contemplation, then shrugged. Whatever, they'd banded on the Circus' side when Break invaded, and that was good enough a reason to be civil to them, as far as he was concerned.

~~~
Maya's eyes had been on the sky when she felt Nylat brush against her, the warmth of the hybrids fur a welcome sensation. She glanced once at the hybrid, before noticing the delicate little flower that resided in her lap. With a fleeting, and somewhat wan smile, she gently lifted the colourful plant and simply looked at it.
Yeah, sure. It wasn't much, but that never really mattered. No one in the Circus had anything at one point, let alone friends; And this one token from the hybrid merely stated just how important those bonds were, not least to Maya. With a strange little sigh, she placed the flower just above her left ear, protruding from the golden lock of hair that ran over her shoulder. "Thankyou," She said quietly, pulling the sleeves of her long sleeved, plain white shirt over her palms, wiping her eyes in an irritated way. She couldn't remember the last time she'd cried so much... Heck, she couldn't remember the last time she'd cried at all.
With a shuddering sigh, she leaned back against the tree, violet eyes once again on the sky, tears still visible despite the fact she'd brushed most of them off. She didn't particularly want to talk, it probably would serve no purpose but to make her cry again. With a small frown, she crossed her arms, then closed her eyes, her face vieled yet again by her hair; The flower, however, still clearly visible. A splash of vivid colour that once would have stood, quite literally, for everything Maya was.
Nylat rolled over a bit to lay on her side, her back away from Maya. She heaved a sigh out of her lungs as she laid a paw across the bridge of her snout, the other lying flat on the ground. The hybrid flicked her tail back and forth, hitting the tree, then lightly touching one of Maya's wings, then back. Her eyes seemed to shine with peace, but inside, she was in turmoil. She wasn't sure how much she could take. If this wasn't resolved soon, she'd probably have to leave, just to relieve her own tension. But she wouldn't do that to Maya...Instead...Maybe...
"Maya...just wondering...if I left, what would you do?"
She kept a tone in her voice that meant she was truly just curious, but inside, it was a question that would decide what happened. She glanced at her friend, ready to explain if need be.
((There ya go Maya. One of the factors of her leaving. Again, all depends, like I said before.))
((Aww, nuh. D8 I didn't think you meant it. xD))
Maya had been half dozing, her eyes closed, her mind refusing to shut off despite how exhausted she felt. Sunset had long gone by now, and the sky had given way to hundreds of glowing stars, casting a weak light over both the woodland and fields; The Circus and city, naturally, provided their own light, though where Maya and Nylat resided these couldn't be seen.
The butterfly winged teen sighed quietly, opening her eyes to stare at a silver hued earth as Nylat spoke. At the end of the hybrids question, it took a moment for Maya to realise just what she was asking. With a somewhat sudden movemet, she leant forward, placing both arms on the ground in front of her and wincing at the flash of pain from her injured arm. Lifting it, her eyes focused on Nylat. "I don't know..." She answered truthfully, her eyes worried. No, no... The last thing she needed or wanted was to drive Nylat away. She quite suddenly felt very frightened, she hadn't meant to push the hybrid this far...
She leaned back, closing her eyes for a moment, before glancing skyward. "What kind of a question is that, anyway?..." She murmered, her fear and concern clear in her voice. No... She couldn't be the cause for Nylat going anywhere, she wouldn't be the only one affected... She turned back to the hybrid. "Why are you asking such a thing?" She asked, her ex
pression more than just a little wary.
((AW. Maya, no panicking allowed.))
Maya had responded almost exactly as Nylat had thought. She glanced over at the girl, her eyes a bit upset.
"Well, I'm just wondering...I mean, I have to explore every option. After all that's happened, I can't take any more. No matter my swagger, I'm not as lithe as I used to be. Not since my wounds got me the second time. I can't defend myself or anyone else--I can barely perform. And being a magnet for danger....It never helps. I was just wondering because I would never leave you alone, not now. Not ever. I just don't wish to be a burden on anyone, and I need time to think."
She rolled back over and looked up at Maya.
"It's just a thought. I still have alot to think about. But I won't leave until that idiot Break is dead. At least that long. I promise you that. I may never leave...I just have to work something out with myself."
She laid so her back was against Maya, and looked up at the stars.
"But you need me, that much I can tell. And as long as you do, I'm here to stay. Unlike Kanec, I don't abandon responsibilities to come crying back just because I can't handle it."
She emphasised this with a growl, thinking of the time right after Jevak had been killed, when Kanec had left for two months, then come back, barely the same. He'd been wounded multiple times, and the scars still remained, from where he'd been unable to treat them right. He'd been such an idiot. Nylat still remembered when he first joined. He said he might leave now and then, to relieve stress he built up upon himself, and that he'd survive on theft. Nylat snickered at the thought. The shifter had failed every theiving trick he tried during those two months.
((gave a little bit of information about those few months. Decided to get it out there.))
 ((Sure Wolf, if you run your characters by me. xD))
Maya seemed almost to look more worried as the hybrid spoke, shuddering visibly at the mention of Break, then shaking her head when Nylat finished. "No... You don't burden anyone, Nylat. Raphael would have done something about it if you did, you know what he's like," She was looking at the hybrid with a worried frown, and seemed to unconsiously stretch her wings as she spoke. "And you know it wouldn't just be me you'd affect doing this... What about Raphael?... And Dravius?" She asked, stumbling over the last name with a hesitant voice.
She shook her head and stood up. "And I mean it, you've never been a burden, not to me, nor anyone else," Her eyes were still on the hybrid, the flower that Nylat had handed to her still visible abover her ear. She was more worried than her face was letting on... What would she do if Nylat chose to leave?... Had she really been that much of a handful the last day?...
"I'm sorry, Nylat," She said quietly.
