Wolf yelped and nearly fell out of the tree. her hand shot out and she hung there with one hand, revealing the muscles in her arms. Then she gracefully dropped to th ground and closed the fist in her head. She stared at him warily. To anyone, she might of seemed like an ordinary girl. but if you looked close enough, you could tell she was blind. But by the way she looked at you, it was hard to believe. "Listening." She said in a small voice. "What's wrong with that, Julian?" She asked, cocking her head slightly. There was still a drop of blood on her chin from her previous meal of raw meat. She was genuinely confused. She had done this for the past few nights and the past few days. Long enough to learn a majority about the Circus. Also about their skills and such. With a little digging, she had learned about a demon occurence a while ago.

((Pff. *pushes Fallow off a cliff* Bye bye. No idea what to do with ya, and I wanna bring a new character in soon. XD)) Nylat yawned widely and stretched, glancing down at Maya. She was fine, until Maya reached a hand out. Still drowsy, the hybrid had not been expecting it--though she should have--and nearly fell off the branch in suprise, her claws being her lifesaver. Once her breathing returned to normal, she sheathed her claws, yawning again, before sneezing once. However, these were forgotten as she realized with great joy that her side was not stiff, as she had expected. She flicked her tail as she stood on the branch, balancing quite well. She hadn't realized they'd fallen asleep outside. One second, she was listening contently to Maya sing, the next, she was being jolted awake by her own paranoia. "So, since when have you been able to sing so well? And why have I not known?" On the last question, she glanced at Maya with an amused light in her eyes.

Raphael chuckled quietly at Dravius, then shrugged. "Certainly feels like it," He said with a too-cheerful grin. "And good," He added in response to the Co-Masters answer about Gem. Raphael still felt uneasy having the glow eyed male in the Circus, but so long as Dravius kept an eye on him... Wouldn't hurt, he supposed. He blinked. "A harp?... My my... I wonder if he's as talented as you with the instruments." The blonde asked with a laugh, as Dravius headed back to get dressed.About time, he didn't want the kid catching cold. Still leaning against Julians van, the Ring Master crossed his arms, his eyes following the other early rising members; He eventually focused on Dravius again, once the Co-Master re-emerged. "I don't see why you shouldn't... That's usually the first thing you do when we reach a new town," He said with a smile, stretching an arm and watching another pas.sing member. "And it's not like we're bogged down with anything at the moment, either," ~~~ Watching in silence, Julian didn't even so much as flinch as the girl in the tree almost lost her balance. When she spoke his name, however, his eyes narrowed and he frowned slightly. Hmm?... He was pretty sure he hadn't introduced himself. "Alright," He said somewhat flatly. Julian wasn't really all that accomodating with sneaking strangers. "What's your name?... And if you don't mind my asking... How do you know mine?" ~~~ Sighing, the butterfly pouted, her eyes on the still sleeping hybrid. She was just about ready to prod Nylat when she finally awoke, almost falling from the tree in the process. Despite the absoloute bleakness of the last couple of days, Maya actually laughed, a weak, silvery sound. It was swiftly followed by a sigh as she glanced off in another direction, almost as though such an act had tired the girl too quickly, which it had, in a sense. It seemed almost fake. She looked back at the hybrid when Nylat spoke however. "Mm," She replied, turning and sitting at the base of the tree again, watching in silence as a gleaming sapphire coloured butterfly landed on a knee. "I don't know. I never saw my voice as being all that earthshaking," She murmered, throwing a wan smile at the hybird. She returned to looking at the butterfly. "It's not really important," She added quietly, looking off towards the field of wildflowers; Colours vibrant in the morning sun. It was a shame, really, how such things seemed to lose some beauty in the light of life's hurdles.

Nylat smiled, her eyes following Maya with a kind look. She looked up, at the light filtering through the treetops. She flicked her tail again, yawning. "It's something to be proud of, that's for sure. Does anyone know?" With another yawn, she leapt from the tree, landing lightly on the ground, before sitting beside Maya. "So, what do you suppose we do now, hm? I'm positive Raphael's worrying out of his skin by now, but if you don't want to go back...I can figure out a way to let him know we're fine, I'm sure." She glanced back up at the sky, looking at the clear blue sky, sighing a bit.

Maya had been watching the blue butterfly with uneeded concentration, and glanced towards Nylat with an unreadable face. "Proud, hm?" She echoed, yawning slightly. She still felt tired, though it was no surprise really. Sleeping with your back to a tree wasn't all that comfortable. "And no... I never saw any reason to sing, and never have. Not in front of anyone, anyway," She replied, stifling another yawn as the blue butterfly finally took off. She sighed at the hybrids question. "I'm not going back there yet." She crossed her legs and started pulling up gras.s with her good hand. "I just, don't want to be surrounded. Besides, its nice out here," She glanced off towards the colourful field again, sighing quietly. Raphael. She'd forgotten about Raphael... Yes... He probably was worrying, it was something he'd do, anyway... Well, that was the Ring Master for you. But still, Maya felt she needed just a little more time out in the open, and she really did not want to go anywhere near that glow eyed freak.. She was likely to hit him if she saw him again, and that wasn't saying anything lightly. You tended to build certain muscle power after dancing for 7 years. She frowned in an irritated way, still fiddling with solid green blades of gras's.

"I don't know, I think he can only play the harp, but he's a decent singer. Sounds like a software program, but every note is perfect." Dravius answered Raphael, looking back towards his van. "Mmmm. If he comes out while I'm gone, point him towards something he can organize, preferably non-flammable." Coughing slightly, he added, "I think I'm getting sick. Great," Dravius turned towards the town, turning and waving just before he broke into a slow run, moving towards the town. Poking his head out of an alley, Dravius blinked slowly at the flood of people moving by, most chattering about the Circus, waving hands and laughing with a wide smile. This made Dravius smile, annd he stepped out his his hands deep in his pockets, waving at several people, most of whose smiles turned uneasy, with the exception of one blonde girl, who waved wildly at the boy. Then it was Dravius's turn to bear an uneasy smile. "Uhm, do I know you?" Dravius asked, crossing his arms with a worried ex pression on his face. The bolnde girl took this as a sign to rush up to Dravius and begin talking rapidly, "Oh my god, that Circus was sooo amazing, but your act was the best, just the best. Everyone thought it was an illusion, but I just know it wasn't, and I mean..." Here the girl paused to take a breath, and Dravius intergected desprately, "Could you give me some space, plaese?" The girl had sildled up to the white haired boy, and had put her head on his chest, and she looked surprised and backed off, smiling hugely. "Could....could you go away?" Dravius gulped, shrinking against the wall of a brick building, his arms crossed defensively and breathing quickly. "I really need to...leave!" Dravius turned and took off, hair flying behind him. ducking inside another alley, he heard high heels go past, and poked his head out, breathing hard. "Okay, I really hate people." He muttered, ducking into an instrument store, purchasing guitar strings from the trembling cashier, and steppied into the bright light, nearly stepping on a small child, with tousled brown hair and dark green eyes. "Oh, I'm sorry," Dravius said, still shaken from his encounter with the fangirl. "Did you need something?" He added, looking at the shuddering child. The kid burst into tears and sprinted away, clinging to his mother's leg. Dravius paled under the mother's thick glare, slinking away, shaking his head. Sitting beside a bench, Dravius closed his eyes and took a deep breath, closing his eyes and breathing steadily.
"Never bring that horrid drink here again." "It tastes of blue, not the river-dwelling reptile, as I had thought."

[[aaaaahhh fangirls!!]] Spider was in the process of wriggling into a clean sweater-- a sweater that wasn't that different from his old one, when there was a knock at his door. Truly, the only difference was the fact that this sweater was green, but besides that it was the same baggy size with worn hems. He could have put on some of his new clothes, but felt more comfortable in his old ones. The knocking continued for a few taps, as if whoever it was outside his door was very impatient. Spider couldn't have told you who he was expecting, and opened the door with some apprehension. If it had been Zinc, he would have just thrown the door open and sauntered in, he was sure. If it was Sh'Yama... well he had a feeling she would do the same thing. So you could imagine his slight surprise at being completely right-- there was no one at the door. A trick? He peered outside, and looked around. Nobody in sight. He backed up and shoved his boots on, a bit haphazardly, and scrambled out of the van, shutting it slightly loudly behind him. Normally being inside was grand, but not when there was someone tapping on your house. Not daunted, he walked all around his van, and even peered under it. He stood up and rubbed his nose. "Maybe I'm playing tricks on myself... " It wouldn't be the first time. Oh well. Spider clasped his hands behind his back, feeling much better today then he had in... ever! He didn't feel like cowering in terror at all! Well, first thing's first, Spider walked over to Sh'Yama and Kioko's van, and knocked softly.

Wolf frowned. "i don't usually tell my name to strangers, but since you found me, I guess you deserve a little insight." he said with that small frown. She smiled slightly at him, revealing almost canine like sharp teeth. "My name is Wolf Hill. As to how I knew your name, it was because, instead of chabbering away like most humans do, I listened. I listened hard for the past few weeks and I found out mostly everything about this circus. I also know your the Swords master here in the Majikus Circus. I know that Raphael is the ring leader and can produce powerful illusions. I know that there's a man here named Dravius who doesn't feel pain. I also know that you reacently had a demon join your circus, but disappeared without a trace. He died." She said. The last part was said with a soft, but sad face. She looked at the ground. "He was holding hands with a girl and they were laying against a large boulder spattered with old blood. But it wasn't there blood. They had both been stabbed in the heart....." She said nothing for a few minutes, then looked back at Julian. Her eyes narrowed slightly and she stepped backwards slightly. She gazed at him with wary eyes. "You smell strange." She said, wrinkling her nose.

A young girl--probably only about 16--sat easily balanced on a tree branch, along the treeline that seperated the Circus's current residence clearing from the wooded areas beyond. Much unlike anyone else would upon sitting in a tree, the girl was typing rapidly on a laptop that sat on her outstretched legs. What she typed appeared like a bunch of mumbo-jumbo to anyone else, but to her, it was a code. A very precise code. One she had to type up, just for the sake of not having to type it up multiple times. She needn't worry about memorizing it. She could remember everything she set eyes on, well, everything after the age of five. up until then...It was all a blur. She stopped, wincing. She held her right arm to her stomach, swiftly pulling off the fingerless glove. The white bandages that ran from elbow to palm--as well as those wrapped around her left elbow, were an unnatural white. For someone sitting in a tree, that is. She winced, and her golden eyes shone momentarily with unshed tears of pain, but she soon recovered, replacing the glove on her hand as she continured typing. Eventually, she saved and closed the document, turning off her laptop. She laid her head against the tree trunk behind her, a slight wind blowing her black and red hair into her face. The red was natural. A bright red. She heaved a sigh, glancing at her laptop, wondering which sight she was going to hack next. It was rather simple, but she grew bored of it, she needed a new site. Maybe she'd tak a break. After all, she had arrived at her destination. She knew about the Majikus for only one reason--she'd been before, when she was ten. That was before her parents locked her in the basement, and bribed her for silence with expensive items. The reason her laptop was the best. Such a bright child had been tainted by boredom, and now hacked for fun. How she got internet was another 'gift'--her phone provided a Wifi hotspot. Despite all of this, she wasn't a snotty spoiled kid. That was why she willingly found the Majikus. She needed something else to distract her. She knew that eventually, she'd get caught, and then she'd end up dead in a prison cell, especially when they found out her gift. She sighed, a bit impatient. She'd been following for a day or two now, wondering when they'd find her. She knew quite a bit about a few of them, from when she'd gone. Like, she knew thay had a hybrid along for the ride. Why she hadn't noticed her presence yet was astunding. The girl opened up her laptop again, greeted by a message as she turned it on. She became slightly frustrated at the Instant Message that sat there on her screen. 'You're running out of time, Tara.' ~~ Nylat nodded. "Be very proud. You have a beautiful voice. And if you don't want to go back, that's fine." She flicked her tail, grinning a bit. "So, what do you suppose we do, hm?" She dug her claws into her ground, yawning again, just as her stomach growled, making this sort of squeaking sound. She whined a bit, looking up innocently. "Well, I'm a bit hungry, but I can wait till later." ((Fail for Nylat. And Tara's Bio will be posted here in a little bit.))

((Pfft... "You smell strange"... Made me laugh. And poor Dravvy, set upon by rampaging fangirls. *Giggle*)) Raphael yawned, closing his eyes for a moment, his back against Julians van. "Oh?" He said in response to Dravius' comment about Gem's musical skill. "Interesting," He added, blinking slowly. With another stifled yawn, he pushed himself away from Julians van, slipping one hand into a pocket. He frowned slightly at Dravius' next comment regarding Gem. Great, he had to babysit the guy now?... With a slight sigh, he nodded. "Alright," He murmered, before waving as the Co-Master headed off towards town. His gaze followed the white haired boy for a short distance, before Raphael started off across the grounds. He almost immediately spotted Spider, and raised a hand in greeting, a smile on his face. "Good morning," He said, his tone warm. "How are you?... You slept well I hope?" ~~~ Julian's ex pression remained stony as the girl spoke, his face only changing at her comment regarding his scent. She'd been following the Circus? And no-one had noticed?... Not surprising really, the last couple of days had provided too much entertainment in order for anyone to notice much of anything. He inhaled through his nose, placing both hands into his jacket pockets, the knives and daggers glinting dangerously at his belt. He felt absoloutely no sympathy whatsoever at the news of Alto's death.Well ,he didn't deserve it, not after that last lapse. The girl however?... It had to be the girl Dravius had been taking care of, right? He sighed, then raised an eyebrow as Wolf backed away, his ex pression not changing at her final comment. He snorted, then closed his eyes. "Mm. My scent isn't important," He opened his eyes. "Are you here for a reason?" He asked bluntly, his dark eyes on the girl. ~~~ Maya smiled weakly at Nylat's comment, then stood up again, dropping the now shredded blades of gras.s from her slender fingers. "I thankyou for the comment," She said almost evasively. Her music had been a personal pas.s time, and the thought of actually using her voice had not occured to her. Unfrotunately, the idea of being stuck n her van for the next few months wasn't appealing... She was going to have to talk with Raphael at some point... Flaring her wings, she glanced at Nylat, then shrugged. "I don't know..." Frowning, she realised just how difficult staying away from the Circus was going to be when Nylat mentioned food... She hadn't, afterall, eaten at all in the last day, all things considered, and she was pretty much starving. She glanced around, then sighed. "I might not have much choice though... We might have to go back, your not the only one who needs to eat," She said it hesitantly... She was still very unsure about the idea, going back while that, stranger, was there. She grumped a little bit, then looked at Nylat... She frowned again, then glared at the gras.s for a few moments, wings still flared. "Nevermind," She said shortly, more to herself than Nylat, waving a hand in a dismissing and irritated kind of way, dropping her wings as she did so.

Nylat smiled a bit about Maya's comment about food, before dipping her head to the thanks. "Think nothing of it. And I could catch food for you, but I doubt you'd want raw meat." She whined a bit at Maya's slight change in mood, brushing up against her leg. She puted a second, watching Maya carefully. She was usually worried about her friend, but these past few days were even more worrisome. But she couldn't blame Maya. It was a hard time. And all Maya could do was be there for her. However, the hybrid had to admit, they all needed a break. A Circus wasn't all of the fun and games it appeared, and this one definantly wasn't. A break would do nicely for all of them, and if Maya had a day or two free of stress, then maybe she'd be better somewhat. At this point, Nylat was willing to do anything--and kill anyone--for her friend. Nothing would stand in her way. She just wanted the old, cheerful Maya back. ((<33))

After a few minutes, Dravius opened his eyes and jumped to his feet. There was a ring of people around him, and a few had been snapping their hands in front of his eyes. Dravius had let out a small shriek of surprise, and that coused the ring of people to jump back, mostly comprised of now-red older women, adjusting their hair and trying desprately to pretend they hadn't been staring at the strange boy. Shivering, Dravius brushed off the seat of his pants, his own face quite flushed. "I really hate people..." He muttered, combing his hair over his bad eye, stuffing his hands deep into his pockets. After a bit of walking, Dravius smiled slightly at the bright sign that proclaimed the name of the Circus, launching into a running jump so that his fingers brushed the bottom of the wood, and he smiled a little wider, tapping a gothic looking lantern outside a members' van, making it creak as it swung. Sighing, the white haired boy yawned and stretched his arms over his head, stepping into his wagon as the starting notes of harp strings began to waft through the air. Gem had set up his dark red harp, the deep black strings glinting slightly as the boy pulled a few notes from the frame, looking up with glowing eyes as Dravius entered. "Hello." He said flatly, yawning breifly before he went but the plucking the strings on his instrument, tilting his head as Dravius vanished into his closet, hauling with great difficulty a piano on wheels, taking the stool from the top of the shiny black string instrument. "Ummm, do you know 'Circle You'?" Dravius asked, cracking his knuckles. At the short nod, Dravius played a few notes, then Gem launched into a creepy melody with his harp, and Dravius followed softly on his piano. The notes drifted out the window, as Gem started singing the accompanying words. It sounded a bit like a computer singing, but it actually added to the odd element to the song. "An old building out of the sun's reach, hallways with decay starting to leach. Behind the door in a dark back room, were children remembered by what, by whom? They had been waiting for you to visit them for a long time ...We're so happy! We're so happy! Please play with us for a time
Circle you, circle you...Please don't try to run from us! Circle you, circle you... What games will we play, can I guess? Before the moon sets again, you can play with us until then! Circle you, circle you, who surrounds you everywhere?" Pausing slightly, Dravius smiled at the rather nice sound that was emmitting from the harp and piano, and that washed over the entire Circus, although the song was kind of depressing. Gem took a deep breath and started on the second half of the song, his fingers moving gently over the dark strings of the harp. "Orphanage deep in the forest greens, so no one would find the dark machines. Made from a little child's brain, immortality built of children's pain. The children in the orphan place, circled the teacher with a smiling face, singing a child's play song, "Circle you! Circle you!"
Circle you, circle you... Children, "you just lost the game" Circle you, circle you... Don't run away, you're the same. Before the moon sets aside, cut their neck off as they cried...Circle you, circle you...Who surrounds you everywhere?" As the song petered out, Dravius smiled widely and said, "Mmm. That was always my favorite song. Thanks, Gem." Gem nodded, continuing the main melody as Dravius left the van, his face content.
"Never bring that horrid drink here again." "It tastes of blue, not the river-dwelling reptile, as I had thought."

((Guys, I don't know why, or how, but I'm able to post about Kioko and Selvai, but not my other charrie. Can't even post her name. Just figured this out.)) Rubbing his eyes gently, Selvai rolled out of his cot, his dual toned hair swinging into his eyes as his feet hit the floor. Pushing it out of the way, he began to prepare for the day, pulling clean clothes and a comb out of his bag.
After dressing, the magician ran the comb through his hair, preparing to secure it with a clasp, when he hesitated slightly, one finger absently rubbing one of the lines that made up the mark over his face.
Anyone with a detailed knowledge of magic would recognize it for what it was; a mark of shame, a sign that he had been banished from his clan. Among "normal" people with no knowledge of magic, it had merely caused strange looks and the occasional question. But here... it was unlikely he was the only one among the Circus that studied magic. Sucha large as.sortment of people with unusual gifts and powers? It was almost a sure thing someone would know what the mark meant.
He was prepared for it, Selvai reminded himself. He had known it was a possibility when he first sought out the Circus. But now that it was reality, dealing with the bias he would most likely face made the sorcerer uneasy.
"Nothing that can be done about it," Selvai reminded himself, pulling his hair back and securing it firmly. "They will either accept you, or not."
His hand on the door handle, he hesitated for a moment, then swiftly pulled a few strands of black and white hair loose to hang in front of his eyes, before stepping outside. --------------------------------- Kioko woke up not long after Yama left the van, but simply laid in bed for a few more minutes, still feeling tired. Curled up in a ball, hugging her legs, she was almost back asleep when a soft knocking on the door brought her back to the land of the living.
"Mmmpf." Rolling onto her back, she stretched out, then sat up and walked over to the door. "Oh, morning Spider," Kioko yawned, rubbing her eyes sleepily. "I think Yama is already up and about. Or did you come to see me?"
"I WISH THAT PUNCTUATION HAD A PHYSICAL FORM SO I COULD SMOTHER YOU WITH IT."

She growled a thim. "Of couse your scent is important! Without it, how would I know that you didn't give a single scrap of sorrow at the news of... what's his name? Alto and Silverbane's death." She said in an annoyed voice. She blinked and suddenly, her gaze refocused on him. She seemed as if she was staring right through him.

Raphael kept his eyes on Spider, looking away only when Dravius returned, his eyes following the Co-Master with a curious gaze. He watched the younger male enter his van, an eyebrow raising in question when the strange, odd melody made it's way out of the vans open window. What a strange thing... Seems the glow-eyed Gem could sing, albeit lacking in some way or another. He was, however, pretty good. With a slight yawn, Raphael removed his hand from his pocket, gently proceeding to rub the side of his neck as he watched Dravius' van in silence. Dropping his hand, he glanced around the Circus grounds, noting the unimportant fact that many members were still sleeping. Those who were awake, however, paused in order to listen to the strange and unusual music that now permeated the air around the Circus' camp site. ~~~ Moping for a few moments, Maya glanced in Nylat's general direction when the hybrid mentioned catching food, her ex pression slightly disturbed. She wasn't really a big eater of meat, and she wasn't part wolf, either... That option wasn't really, well... Ew. She sighed through her nose, then shook her head, frowning. At Nylat's affectionate touch, she ran her hand over the hybrids head, her eyes taking on a look that clearly stated she was fighting with herself. After a few silent moments, the butterfly made an angry little noise in the back of her throat, her eyes on the fox at her side. "... We really don't have much choice, do we?" She grumbled. With another, more dramatic sigh, she turned and started walking, back the way she had come. God damnit. Maya had a somewhat irritated pout on her face as she walked. Figures she'd have to give in eventually... She hadn't really considered everything last night, she hadn't really thinking about it, obviously... She simply wanted out. Lost in her agitated thoughts, she didn't realize what she was hearing until she was almost upon the Circus grounds. Pausing just beyond the treeline, she listened for a few seconds, then snorted and walked into the field. Mechanical, she thought flatly, her peevish mood getting in the way of her manners and appreciation. Without waiting, Maya made her way towards Raphael, who now stood outside his own van, his eyes abstracted as he looked at the blazing letters of The Circus Majikus that resided on the side of the vehicle. He turned in time to see her approach, his ex pression obviously relieved as he waved a hand in greeting. "There you are," He said, smiling slightly. "I was getting just a little concerned about you," Maya exhaled shortly, her eyes roaming to Dravius' van, the melody still seeping from its thin walls. "I figured you might be," She murmered, the Ring Master immediately catching her sullen and irritated tone of voice, returning the sound with a surprised look. "Who is that?" She asked flatly. "Mm. Gem. The new guy... He's not really all that bad, though I can't quite place my finger on why it seems incomplete... The music, that is," Raphael leaned against his van, his questioning gray eyes still on the frowning butterfly. At the mention of the "new guy", Maya immediately put two and two together, and accurately as.sumed that this "Gem" was the one she'd had the pleasure of meeting last night. The one with no emotion, she recalled. Her gaze unconciously became a glare, and as she stepped off towards the food van, she answered Raphael in a voice that rang with annoyance. "That's obvious," She stated, the pain of being back in the Circus grounds only outweighed by the anger directed at Gem. "Emotion, naturally," His ex pression still surprised, the Ring Master watched Maya leave, blinking at the girls high-strung and touchy manner. It wasn't like Maya at all to be even remotely angry, and Raphael found himself frowning in slight concern. It was mere seconds later when the musical notes died off, and the campsite became unnaturally silent as Dravius emerged, looking rather settled. Still frowning, Raphael glanced at Nylat. "Care to explain what happened last night?" He asked, his gray eyes narrowed. ~~~ Julian raised his eyebrows at the apparent anger in Wolf's tone of voice. Eh... He sighed and closed his eyes, scratching his temple with a slender finger. He didn't really care all that much about other people's opinions... Well, not when it came to Alto, anyway. Had he had the chance, he probably would have killed the kid himself, and had been very close to doing so. The only thing that stopped him really was Raphael's views on the matter. The blonde wasn't one for needless killing, not if it could, in any way, be avoided. Besides, the kid had wanted to die, and surely he was better off in this state. Yes, alright. The girl was another matter. Her death was most definately pointless, and he paused for a moment to mull over her departure, despite the fact he had never actually met the girl. It was the only way Julian could show any sort of respect, especially considering the girl had been a complete stranger to him. Inhaling slowly through his nose, he spoke in a somewhat monotone voice, not bothering to open his eyes. "Alright. Scent is important to you, and yes. Their deaths are somewhat sorrowing. Unfortunately, I cannot mourn for someone who came awfully close to killing a very close friend of mine, or a girl whom I have never known," The Sword Master opened his eyes, keeping his narrowed gaze on the agitated blind girl. His sharp vision had told him everything he needed to know about the girls lack of sight, though the blindness clearly proved to be absoloutely no problem her. Clearly, her sense of hearing made up for anything else she could possibly miss. "You still havn't answered my question, by the way..." He murmered. "Just why are you here?"

Wolf sighed and relaxed slightly. She had been testing him. She could tell he meant the truth. She had disliked the smell of dead demon on the boy as well, but she had also smelled immense mental pain and sorrow. The girl had just smelled like life had been too hard too long. She watched him slightly and sniffed the air. Unconciously, she wiped the blood from her mouth. "Well...." She said, shifting nervously. "I originally had started following you guys because I wanted to see if the rumours were true..... And I had hoped that you would accept me as a member." She said quietly. Instantly her face became paniced. "I'll work! I'll help clean up and keep everything ready and neat! I promise I won't mess up! It just........ I don't have any other place to go........" She said, her voice quieting down until it was a whisper. It was the truth. her parents and brother were dead and she had been living on the streets since their deaths. So when she had heard about the Circus, she had leaped at the life ring with enthusiasm. Of course, she had checked the Circus out first and followed it for a few days before finally deciding it was good enough and entering the magical border surrounding it. She shivered from the amount of magic now surrounding her. it threatened to consume her and only her mental strength kept it at bay. But when she opened that tiny fist inside her head, all that magic surged in and she saw more than just the world, but the imprints of magic left behind as well. She looked at where she *censored*umed Julian to be, a strang epleading look on her face that she tried to cover with a indifferent face.

Nylat shrugged quite simply, whining a bit as she watched Maya walk away. She glanced up at Raphael, her eyes filled with the pain of someone torn. "Long story. Very long. Perhaps too long for the moment." She wanted to tell Raphael at the moment, but something held her back. In order to properly explain everything, she'd have to tell the Ringmaster about her internal debate which, despite what she told Maya, was still there, the two sides waging war inside her. And she just couldn't bring herself to tell Raphael. At the moment, it wasn't of importance. The hybrid, though she had flicked back her ears so as she wouldn't be distracted even remotely by the music, was completely aware of when the song ended, and gave a somewhat relieved sigh. She was actually halfway tempted to tell Raphael about Maya's singing, but she decided to save it for a somewhat calmer moment, though she guessed now was the calmest time she'd get. Oh well.
"You're off the edge of the map, mate. Here there be monsters."

Raphael's eyes never strayed from the hybrid, his ex pression not changing in the slightest at her words. He did, however, manage to look completely understanding, and there was something in his face that clearly stated he'd as.sumed there was something else going on with the hybrid. "Alright," He said with a small, warm hearted smile. "Later, perhaps." He added with a thoughtful raise of an eyebrow, before he gazed off towards where Maya had left. He sighed quietly, the sound almost not seeming to leave his lips at all, before he sat at the side of his van. "Honestly," He murmered, resting his head on his hand, frowning over the fields. "How complicated," He mused. ~~~ Maya had, most unlike herself, not greeted any of the other members as she pas.sed, her ex pression plain and her aim obvious. She made her way to the food van with an unconscious grace, entering and leaving within the space of minutes. She paused for a moment outside the van, grasping a small, folded parcel of fruit, before strolling off towards her own van. Upon reaching it, she pushed open the door gingerly with her other elbow, avoiding any kind of wrist movement, and frowning at the mess, the one she'd caused last night. On a whim, she glanced around the area, noting the absence of the vividly coloured confection. Good thing too, she would have taken out her anger on the exellently crafted butterfly, violently, most likely. She sniffed, then sat on the steps that led into her van, crossing her legs and picking lightly at the fruit she'd retrieved. The door to her van remained open behind her, and her coloured spectrum of butterfly companions were fluttering from the inside, settling on the surrounding plants and the outerwalls of the van. One brave little butterfly even went so far as to settle on the girls hair, seeming to ignore her less than accomodating aura, right beside the flower that still sat by Maya's left ear. ~~~ "Calm down," Was all Julian could say to the blind girls tirade. "There's no need to panic," He said, his voice remaining at its delibrate low volume. He glanced once over his shoulder towards the direction of the grounds, then back at Wolf. She didn't seem to post much of a threat, it seems her sneaky nature had come about through curiousity and curiousity only. He crossed his arms, his eyes thoughtful, before he turned on his heel and started walking slowly back to the Circus. "Follow me," Was all he said, glancing over his shoulder only once.
