[[I'm avoiding this situation by turning Sh'Yama into a possessed Hellbeast.

Enjoy Sh'Yama being a psychopath for the duration of the roleplay.]]

Spider jumped, and turned slightly to look at the supposedly innocent girl. But he wasn't stupid. Just because he looked like an idiot didn't mean he was. Bad feelings were easy to feel. Ill intent. He stood up straight, hoping to be more intimating. If she wasn't startled by his appearance, she really was a crazy lunatic.

He was actually a bit disappointed. Was that the best she could come up with? I'm lost? Is this a beach? Of course it's a beach! A blind man would know it was a beach! "Yes it's the beach. What'd you think it was, a meadow?" He asked, glaring. "I've had a very bad day, Miss, and if you don't watch it, my—" He didn't get to finish his sentence, because Sh'Yama had nearly materialized out of the shadows.

There was a chance it was a misunderstanding. But Sh'Yama didn't particularly care. She shoved Spider out of the way, and a long-fingered hand shot for Akhi's throat. "Yes, princess. It's the beach." She said, in a voice just as mockingly pleasant, grabbing the girls arm that was holding the knife and twisting viciously. "And you wont play your games here!" She bit off the sentence like a hunk of raw meat, and shook Akhi like a ragdoll.

The snake might have told the foolish girl self-control. Sh'Yama had no dark whisperer. "I've had enough of people coming here to hurt my friends! No more! And I'm so hungry—" She was going to bite her. She was going to bite and eat and drink and no one could stop her because she was hungry, so hungry. Always so hungry.

Spider had scrambled back to his feet, and admitting a small squeak as he watched Sh'Yama's jaw stretch open to a dangerous and frighteningly pointy extent, jumped forward and tugged on the back of her shirt. "No, no don't eat her! Don't— eep!!" Sh'Yama had dropped Akhi, and instead of leaping on her and tearing her throat out, whirled on Spider. It was a very frightening thing, being face to face with a hungry wendigo. Spider took off running, only making one high-pitched squeak as he took off running. Sh'Yama was hot on his heels.

Zinc leaned outside of the van, watching as the two spindly people ran down the beach, one apologizing profusely in a high-pitched voice, the other making little other noise than a wail of anger. Lord did those creatures make awful noises. Wendigos. Never liked them. His attention of course fell on Ahki. "Great. Thanks. Just what I needed." And he shut the door to Sh'Yama's van and strode down the beach toward her. "You uh... you better hope he manages to calm her down. If she hurts her own little brother because of you... yeah. Expect to be devoured alive. Very slowly."

((Oh, I can just imagine Spider screaming apologies while sprinting away from a very angry Yama. -Laughs-))

Dravius was left off-balance as Maya pulled herself off of him, shifting to adjust for the lack of weight hanging from his neck, a face-sized wet spot resting on the red of his shoulder, answering with a slight drop in smile, "Not amusing. It just felt nice. I'm not excatly the cuddliest. Not many hugs," Rubbing the side of his arm with a slight sigh, he squinted at a far -off tree, spotting a corner of furred fabric hanging down from a branch, and he remarked quietly, "Found Yama's cloak."

Leaning down slightly, Dravius wrapped his arms around Maya again briefly, an underlying scent cutting through his usual smell of blood, one so subtle that you'd have to be this close to Dravius to detect it. It was a mixture somewhere between freshly cut-gras.s and crushed mint, and was quite pleasant. "Not the same, but sometimes difference isn't bad," He murmered, straightening up and adding, "Thank you."

His exit was lessened by the two shrieking siblings racing past the two, evoking a "What the-" from Dravius, as he called after Sh'Yama, "Your cloak is in the pine tree near the rock shaped like a heart!" Shaking his head, he stuck his hands in his pockets, and turned, walking backwards, he said, "Maya, hang on." Shivering slightly, Dravius looked at the girl, holding up one finger and trotting towards the grounds.

Ducking into his wagon, Dravius trotted back out holding a long black trench coat, with long sleeves and bras.s buttons running up the left side of the chest. Holding it clear of the sand, Dravius held the coat out to Maya, the thick cloth of the coat obviously enough to keep anyone comfortable. "Here. You look really cold, and I have a pathological fear of getting seriously sick," He said slightly sheepishly, sliding behind her to place the coat over her shoulders and wings, buttoning the top two buttons around her shoulders, the thick black coat immediately wrapping the girl in deep warmth, still smelling slightly of gras.s. and mint. "Mmm. I'm going to bed. You can keep the coat as long as you like, I don't need it,"

Smiling slightly, he waved before running at a fast clip back to his wagon, the door shutting behind him, and as he wrapped a blanket around himself, Dravius unloaded the contents of his pockets onto a small round table, which amounted to a large pile of metal, medical supplies, and a spoon.

"Never bring that horrid drink here again."

"It tastes of blue, not the river-dwelling reptile, as I had thought."

Selvai was interrupted from speaking further when Felix doubled over in pain, hands covering his ears.  The sorcerer took note of Felix's obvious discomfort at the volume of the noise.  He frowned slightly when he saw the blood trickling from the younger man's ears.  "Felix, how badly did that noise damage your ears?  I have a rudimentary knowledge of healing spells, but their are others here more skilled with dealing with injuries, if you need their help."

"Hmm.  If Julian says there is nothing to worry about, I would believe him, Jesca." Selvai spoke once the sword master had returned to the bonfire.  "He may be stand-offish, but he, Raphael, and Dravius do watch over the Circus members."

"Hey, Selvai," a sandy paw prodded him in the side.  "Should someone stop her?" Disera ventured as a screaming Spider ran past them with an irate Yama not far behind.

"I'm sure she won't harm her own brother," Selvai answered, although the hesitant tone of his voice said otherwise.  "And if someone should need to step in and calm her down, there are more than enough of us here to do it."

------------------------

Kioko came to slightly confused, unable to remember at first why she was inside her and Yama's shared van, laying on one of the beds.  After a few odd moments, the memories of the night finally returned, and she shuddered in revulsion.

At least someone had taken her back to the van.  It would have been even more unpleasant to wake up in the woods and deal with the bump on her head she would no doubt have received from fainting and falling on the ground.  Kioko ran her hand over her head to be sure.

No bump, bruise or cuts.  So, someone had probably caught her before she collapsed then.  Normally, she might have been curious to the identity of whoever had spared her a concussion, and everything that had happened afterward.  Normally, she would be leaving the van right about now to find out everything that had happened.

But with the stress of the night wearing her down, Kioko instead swung her feet off the bed and leaned over to her things, grabbing her folded cloak and pulling it around her.  Kicking off her shoes, she pulled her knees up to her chest and flipped the hood over her head so she was completely covered up.  Hugging her legs, the white haired girl rested her forehead on her knees and tried to bl
ink away the moisture in her eyes.

"You're so stupid," she berated herself.  "You didn't get hurt, so stop crying."  She scrubbed at her eyes harder than necessary.  "You stupid crybaby," she sniffled.

"I WISH THAT PUNCTUATION HAD A PHYSICAL FORM SO I COULD SMOTHER YOU WITH IT."

((Time-skip I think. o-o We need a new day. xD If not, I can delete the second half of my post. And and... Poor Kioko, and Spider too. D: *Huggles*))

Maya had been, again, watching the foaming surf when Dravius spoke, and she looked back at him, her ex
pression still somewhat ashamed. She couldn't help but smile, if only a little wanly, at Dravius's words. When he mentioned Yama's cloak, the butterfly winged Circus member glanced over her shoulder, spotting the cloak before turning back to th Co-Master in time to recieve another hug.

She was, honestly, too relieved to know Dravius was back to normal to so much as even blush, and she returned his brief embrace by wrapping her own arms around his waist.

She sighed quietly when he released her, that subtle scent of gras.s and mint lingering as she listened to him, crossing her arms. The comment regarding difference caused her to frown slightly. Oh sure. But for her, that "difference" probably would not be a good thing. And that probably went for a few of the other members too. She was about to retort, hotly, when Spider and Yama shot past, and Maya blinked, following them with her surprised eyes.

She turned back to Dravius when he told her to wait, then shrugged, and looked off across the ocean, her thoughts a mess. The events of the night would probably creep up on her later. She shuddered, turning away from the ocean only to watch Dravius's return, raising her eybrows at the coat he brought. Once he'd placed the black coat around her and she'd instantly adjusted to the change in temperature, she smiled slightly at him, watching him leave with a small wave. "Good night,"

~~~
Time~Skip.
 It was early next morning when Raphael emerged from his van, stretching and grumbling. He'd missed talking to Dravius yesterday, having walked out onto an empty beach. Sighing, he glanced around, noting most members were still sleeping.
There were the odd few who sat around the field, and those who also had made their way to the ocean. Despite the cold temperature of the night, the morning was warm, and only showed signs of getting hotter. Upon spotting Maya stood down on the beach, he shrugged and made his way towards her, eventually coming to a stop beside the butterfly as he watched the other early risers.
"This is early for you," He said, smiling at the girl, who returned his smile with a brief glance.
"I didn't sleep all that well," She replied, flopping onto the sand with a soft flump. She was donning a pair of gray jeans and a white tank top, her wings splayed either side of her as her eyes followed a scittering crab.
Raphael smiled slightly. "Mm. That's no surprise from what I gather," He folded his arms and followed her gaze, watching the crab with only a slight interest. Of course. Maya had never had to face Dravius in the state he was in last night, and if she had been present during whatever happened with Break, it was really no wonder. "Does that change anything with you?" He asked her bluntly, referring to her feelings as he looked away from the crab to look at her.
She glanced at him, her face confused, then shook her head when she finally realised what he was talking about. "No. Not really... I think it just made it worse," She said, falling backwards and looking skyward. A small, sarcastic smile touched her lips. "Remind me never to ponder the phrase, "It can't get any worse"... Cause clearly, in my case, it can." She sighed exasperatedly,then turned onto her side and closed her eyes.
Raphael chuckled. "Don't worry so much. That wasn't doing you much good," He glanced around. "Atleast we won't have to worry about break," He murmered, his face becoming fleetingly dark. Maya flinched slightly. "Mm," She agreed, yawning, before sitting herself up and sighing.
Raphael threw an apologetic smile in her direction. "I need to talk to Dravius about it, really."
"He doesn't remember,"
"I know that," The Ring Master sighed. "I still need to talk to him. I don't want him falling apart like that again, and if Break was the only cause for it, we'll have no future problems. That kid really needs something positive to focus on, though," He added, running a hand through his hair, watching the early members move around with all the air of excitement as they had done yesterday. "I take it you saw something, though. Having being there last night,"
The butterfly glanced at him, then turned back to the ocean, crossing her legs. Sighing once, she nodded. "All of it," She then proceeded to tell him last night events, figuring he probably needed to know if he was going to talk to Dravius.
Having been looking at the sea, she didn't spot Raphaels penetrating gaze, but she noted the heat in his voice when he spoke. "That was a dangerous thing to do, Mayanna," He replied shortly, his face grim. "What would you have done had Dravius listened to Break, hm?" He asked. He hated the sound of this. He had come very close to losing two of the oldest members of the Circus last night, two of his closest friends, and it had him suddenly on edge. Maya could have been killed, and Dravius would have been taken by Break.
She shrugged, her sad gaze on the ocean. "I didn't really think about it,"
Raphael ran a hand over his face, letting out an explosive breath, his mind buzzing with a huge number of "what if's". He should probably have been thankful though. Had Maya not followed Dravius, there was all the chance Break would have left with him. They would not have seen him again, that was certain.
[Ok...xD And I put credit to my Ireland RP to you on the first post. In BIG purple letters. -coughs-]
Akhi didn't move. 'Crap,' she said slowly. 'Why does this always happen? I try to see if this guy is dangerous and then come across someone who wants to kill me, eat me, enslave me, all the same!' Tugging viciously on the collor around her neck she shot the man a dark scowl.
'And that woman,' she spit out, saying woman like it was a dirty word, 'Scared Xhamar. I'm not going to forgive her now.' Time and time again, she thought tiredly, beckoning for the shivering snake. It always happens. 'And how am I supposed to stop her from killing her brother? Humph, all I could do is bite her and then she'd disintegrate or something, depending on what she's made of.'
Spreading her wings in a gesture of frustration the girl could feel the feathers on the back of her neck itch. The feeling they always got when she got mad. Remembering that this man could also be some sort of magical entity she frowned and rubbed Xhamar's head, an action that usually calmed her down.
Taking a deep breath she tried again. 'Alright,' she confessed, not even sure why she was telling this man. 'I would have killed the tall man-thing if he had tried to attack me or touch me or do something I didn't like, but I was only trying to judge what his personality was like. You live a life like mine and you wouldn't feel any guilt about killing someone, or causing their death or anything.'
She shook her chains to clear her point. Rusted from the weather and blood, they were a dark reddish color, not the original gray they had begun as seven years ago.
[[that's quite enough sa.ss there. D:< excuse me for missing tiny details. i mean they ran away, so you couldn't ninja stab her anyway.
also where'd did you put the bio for this crazy person?
integrating time skip and present. since i'm guessing it's like midnight. so technically early next morning would be a few hours later. or present.
in the next time skip my characters will have run off to the suburbs to live a happy life, free of people trying to kill them or any other drama.]]
 Zinc sighed, explosively, and had to keep himself from grabbing a stick and beating the girl to death with it. These people were so lucky he followed certain rules on this plain. No one else followed the rules, but for some reason he felt he needed too. Someone had to keep themselves under control around here. Zinc still did have one horrible flaw, though. Something he couldn't always be in control of. His big mouth.
"Well, you scared her and her brother. I'd say you're even. Disintegrating? You know what— I don't want to know, you're their problem now, not mine— unless Spider is within five feet of you again, in which case, my problem, and your head is most likely going to be hit with a big rock. But as far as they go... let's see them solve THIS with their weirdo morals. And sneaking around in the shadows with a knife while talking about how many people you've killed and something about not making a mess is NOT judging. And please, I've heard all the woes and whines about how awful life is and how you are excluded from doing bad things because of it. You're not the only one. You're not original, shut up, I do not care, and I hope she cuts your dumb snakes head off and feeds it to you. Have a horrible existence, you joy-wrecking pooper-scooper of an insane child."
Normally he would have gone after Yama and Spider, but he didn't want to leave Kioko unsupervised with another freaking psychopath around. Honestly. After he opens the orphanage, he is going to open a special prison. And all of these nutjobs will be locked in there forever. Good riddance. Zinc was fairly sure they were supposed to have someone around to look after this kind of thing. Why was the booger the one having to witness all of this? Zinc planted himself in front of Kioko's door and rubbed his temple. Just needed to find that cloak.
- - -
As Sh'Yama ran by Dravius and Maya, a tic started in her eyelid. The monster was angry, and hungry, but the Yama still wanted to go slap Dravius upside the head. For the moment though, it was a bit hard to control her anger. They would be running for awhile.
Spider, on the other hand, was more in control. Not in the emotional department, however. "Thanks Dravius!! You're SO HELPFUL!! YOU GUYS ROCK!! THANKS FOR BEING CONCERNED FRIENDS I'LL SURELY RETURN THE FAVOUR!! AAHHHH!" And he managed to stumble, trip, land on the heart shaped rock, and climb up the tree. He'd have to hold the cloak for ransom...
 - - -
It was several hours later, and Spider was still on the run. Not literally running anymore, but still walking at a fairly fast pace. Turns out holding the cloak for ransom didn't work, so he had to run with it. The thing was heavy, and made it even harder to run screaming for his life. But he was sure Sh'Yama was tired by now. She was still a couple feet behind him, though she seemed less inclined to take his head off.
Panting, Spider looked over his shoulder. "Feel better yet?"
Sh'Yama wheezed something unintelligible, reaching out for the frays of her cloak.
Spider cunningly pulled it out of her reach.
Giving him an annoyed look, that was finally devoid of blood-thirsty rage, Sh'Yama took two quick steps forward, and fell on Spider. Yama didn't look it, but she was quite heavy. Spider was thoroughly squished and suffocated by her cloak. "I hate this Circus." Yama rasped. "Too many problems. Worse than home." Spider wiggled out from under her, and rolled a bit away, still trapped in the cloak. "Are you sure? Is it better than being ignored?" he asked, slightly muffled as he tried to wriggle out of the cloak.
Yama gave him a quick look, frowning. "Negative is never better than neutral! You shouldn't suffer through bad things just because that is all that is available. Xetem is a fool and an awful, cold-hearted woman. She did not leave you here for your own good. She did it because she knew it would upset her brother." Sh'Yama was too tired to move, but managed to jerk her cloak off of Spider.
"How do you know that?" Spider asked, looking slightly annoyed, and very unkempt. Yama pulled her cloak up to her face and sighed, nuzzling into it. "I spoke to her, shortly after I left Porisvatn. She let a few things slip— I suppose she believed me to be just as stupid as she thought you were." Yama shrugged a shoulder, her eyes sliding shut.
". . ." Spider didn't think he believed that Em was a cold-hearted woman. She'd always been really nice... well, sort of nice. Spider opened his mouth, a question on his lips, but was interrupted as Sh'Yama emitted a loud snore.  Sighing, Spider pulled her cloak up around her shoulders and sat close, pulling his legs up to his chest.
[Putting it up here when I an answer back. ;~; And this girl has wings. SO I suppose she could attempt to bite Yama. NOt sure how that would turn out. O-o]
At this Akhi froze and fixed the tall man in front of her with a cold stare. 'Insult me all you want, I've done away with those emotions. But don't you dare speak of Xhamar like that. I'll gut you!' She started screaming unintelligible words that even Xhamar, who usually had no trouble understanding her, couldn't decipher. Her face had gone white with rage, or perhaps with fear, and she was waving her fists around wildly.
'And by disintegrate,' she added in a moment, calming down surprisingly swiftly. 'I don't mean my knife. I have fangs you know.' Opening her mouth wide she poked at the two dominate teeth in her upper jaw. 'These, are poisonous.'
Cuddling her snake protectively the girl shrank away from Zinc, now thoroughly upset with the world. 'Maybe you're right,' she said evenly, drawing out the dagger she had hidden. 'I'm dangerous. Xhamar keeps on telling me to control myself, but I can't help it.' Giving the man a quick glance she held up the knife with the point facing her. 'I should just end my life here,' she murmured soberly.
She didn't really care now, after all, when she was dead it would Zinc's problem of cleaning up her remains, or simply leaving her there. It didn't matter either way.
'Or I could bite myself,' she mused more to herself rather than to Zinc. 'Then there wouldn't be too much of a mess.'
[Ew, pyscho child. She's also my persona. I have a weird mind. >8u  xXx]
Dravius groaned as light hit his face, his eyes tingling as he pulled the black comforter from his bed over his head, smushing his face into the thin matress of where he slept, eventually sliding one leg at a time onto the black wooden floor of his van, finding his footing before dragging the top half of his torso off of the bed, one side of his hair flattened. Moaning slightly, he rubbed his good eye with the heel of his hand, running a brush made of bone through his hair and shaking it into some semblence of order. Rummaging in his closet, Dravius pulled out a long sleeved shirt, bright green with disembodied black arms reaching around the torso. Slipping his shoes on, Dravius tapped the toes of his high-tops on the floor with a slight sigh, bandaging around his neck, where most of the long, deep marks were situated.
Dravius tucked the end of the black gauze under itself, running a finger down a long slash in his cheek, ripping a flap os skin from the end, wiching with the ooze of blood and the flood of tingling that invaded the side of his face. "Ow?" He asked quietly, pushing open the door to his dark van, sticking his hands deep into his still-empty pockets, rubbing the furrow on his face with the cloth of his sleeve. Picking up a rough black rock, Dravius tossed it from hand to hand, spotting Raphael and Maya on the beach, and walked up, deciding to not even attempt a grin. "Good morning," He said calmly,  slipping his shoes off to step into the receding tide, digging his toes into the soft sand, black rock still in hand. The rock was long and thin, and he twirled in inbetween his fingers, exhaling through his nose.
Wiping any stry blood from the open cut on his face, Dravius looked into the surf, watching miniscule fish dart around his ankles, fleeing with the tiniest movement before regrouping with the current.  Pulling up the hem of his pants, Dravius sighed again, rubbing his wrists.
"Never bring that horrid drink here again."
"It tastes of blue, not the river-dwelling reptile, as I had thought."
Raphael, after a few silent moments of wallowing in his turbulent thoughts, figured he should atleast try to prevent himself worrying so much. What had happened had happened, and he should probably just be glad no-one ended up any worse off. With a slight yawn, the Ring-Master  brought his hands to rest behind his head as he looked down at Maya on his right, who had flopped onto her side again and looked very much like she was about ready to just sleep there on the beach.
He smiled slightly, turning his head to greet Dravius with a grin when he heard the Co-Master's voice, pausing to raise an eyebrow at the kids nuetral ex
pression. "Good morning~" He replied, stretching his arms above his head as Maya lifted a weary hand in greeting. After watching Dravius for a silent moment, Raphael crossed his arms casually and raised his eyebrows. "And why so great a sigh, oh noble Co-Master?" He asked, uncrossing his arms to rub the side of his neck. "Second day of vacation," He murmered, smiling slightly. "But with a face like that you'd think we'd been here much longer,"
He glanced around distractedly, noting a number of the other members had by now got themselves up and out, yawning and stretching in the early light of the day. Well... He should probably get this out of the way. Leaving it to fester would probably not be a good idea. Raphael sighed quietly, then looked back at Dravius with an unreadable face, watching the kid for a moment. "Do you want to talk about it?" He asked, linking his hands behind his head as Maya sat herself up again with a yawn.
~~~

Emerging from his van, dressed in nothing but his usual black, Julian stood out against the bright and airy morning sunlight as a ruby might stand out in a pile of diamonds. He didn't care.

Closing his van door after him, he yawned, sliding both hands into his pant pockets and glancing over the grounds with a detached sort of interest. His eyes paused a moment on the group of older members down by the beach, before they flitted to Spider and Yama, both of whom seemed absoloutely out of it. He was able to tell from even this distance that Yama was sleeping.

Raising an eyebrow, he walked towards them at a steady pace. Hmm. It looks like they'd underestimated Yama, in any case. Most of the members seemed to have as.sumed she'd give up chasing her brother after maybe an hour or so. From what Julian could see, however, it was probably accurate to as.sume that the chase had lasted quite a while longer. Perhaps someone should have taken the incentive last night and stepped in, hm?

He paused a short distance away from the Spider siblings, glancing off towards the beach, before focusing his eyes on the snoozing Yama. "Is there a reason for her strong sense of attachment to that cloak?" He asked somewhat bluntly, his tone of voice only lightly tinted with curiousity.
