From where she was sitting on the other side of the dozing Yama, Kioko just shook her head at Spider's question. "Thanks, but I don't have much of an appetite right now Spider," Kioko replied softly. "Not after last night," she added silently. "Maybe later." She closed her eyes and leaned back against the van, idly running the fingers of one hand through the sand. A soft, soothing voice reached her ears and she opened her eyes in surprise, realizing that someone was singing not far away. Kioko listened intently as the song drifted over her, seeming to calming her frazzled nerves and loosen the knot that had taken the place of her stomach. "Oh, wow," the teen whispered when the song ended and a chorus of clapping followed it. She thought she recognized the singer, but couldn't quite believe any human could sing so beautifully. "Was that Maya?" ---------------------------------- Wandering around the Circus vans, Disera had paused just long enough to listen to the butterfly girl's singing before moving along. Such a pretty voice, it made one wonder why she hadn't displayed it before now, Disera mused. Trotting around another van, she spotted Kioko and the Spider pair sitting on the ground in front of the food van. Grinning, Disera began to move toward them, then stopped as a thought suddenly popped into her head. Spider was usually twitchy and afraid of almost everything, even her, although she hadn't done anything to (intentionally) frighten him. And having seen Yama's temper last night, Disera didn't think scaring her little brother would bode well for her, even if it was an accident. She wondered for a minute what form she could take that wouldn't make Spider nervous. Disera didn't personally think a ferret was all that frightening, but people were afraid of strange things, from what she'd seen. Ears twitching, the shifter ran through all the different forms she could think of, dismissing them for various reasons, until the obvious solution popped into her head. Grinning, she transformed for the second time that morning, congratulating herself on her thinking. There was no way Spider would flinch at this shape. Scurrying over to the three of them, she stopped a few feet away from Spider. "Good morning, all." Disera chirped, waving one tarantula leg in the air as a greeting.

((XD Disera.)) Nylat whined disappointedly, falling silent as Dravius came over. Silence may have been dropped, but not the conversation. She'd return to it. She flicked her tail and backed up a few steps toward the water, barking sharply and wagging her tail, her eyes fixed on Maya. No matter how much she acted it, she wasn't completely human, and sometimes, she had to accept that herself. So now was the best time. She pranced around in a circle, not taking her eyes off her friend, waiting. "Come on, Maya. Water's not that bad." ~~ Kanec, prowling around in the water, raised his head up enough to watch some of the Circus members on the beach. He was easily mistaken for a log, being an alligator, but he was silent as ever, and often got ambushed by those he spied on. He yawned, his top jaw rising out over the water and displaying sharp teeth. Having been underwater, he'd not heard Maya sing, so he was now the only one who hadn't.

((Dravius is a bit dense...)) Dravius frowned at Maya's short and obviously not true response. Sighing, Dravius shook his sleeve back over the inked musical score, bending down and saying, "Now, if you don't tell me what's wrong, how am I supposed to try and fix it?" Holding a finger up, he wagged it side to side, his face completely serious. Leaning back on his haunches, Dravius held out his arms, a stubborn ex pression on his face. "I hate seeing you sad," He added, his eyebrows curving down with worry. "It's worse than being sad myself, because at least then I know what's wrong." "You can't keep it all to yourself," Dravius said, his arms still held out in expectance of a hug. "That's what I do, and I nearly always break my hand," The boy seemed extrordinarily honest, hovering just above the sand, with the balls of his feet digging into the damp sand. His long arms almost reached Maya, the lime green sleeves of his shirt tugged loosely over his beat-up wrists. Dravius indeed seemed to expect a hug, pouting slightly as he wiggled his fingers towards her, his eyebrows inching ever higher. It was almost comical, the six and one half foot teenager holding his long arms out for a hug.
"Never bring that horrid drink here again." "It tastes of blue, not the river-dwelling reptile, as I had thought."

[[Like, Lead dense. But that is only 11.342 density. Still more than Zinc, though. (7.134). also, Disera <3 xD it's kinda silly that Kanec, as a giant tiger, frightened him less than Disera as a crow. o-o]]
Spider nodded silently at Kioko, almost sighing, but keeping it shoved down his throat. He could only answer her question by shaking his head. "I don't know... I guess it could have been. I can't see from here." He mumbled, blinking owlishly. His head slowly turned and he looked up at Raphael. "I... hurghhn... buh. Yes. I'm fine. She's fine." As he said this Yama snored loudly, and Spider had half a mind to wipe away the drool that was starting to trickle down out the side of her mouth. "Just... incidents. Doesn't matter." He finished, rubbing his eyes. He paused for a moment. "Hello Raphael, uh, it is a good afternoon, though." It was a bit delayed, but he figured that was okay.
When he dropped his hands back into his lap, Spider watched as a glowy eyed tarantula scuttled toward them. The effect was quite amazing, as Spider brightened considerably with a wide smile, and leaned forward, practically into the sand, at Disera's greeting. "Good morning!" He said, waving one of his fingers in a somewhat silly imitation of her leg wave. "That's a nice shape, if I can say so." His initial excitement buzzed down a bit at the thought of someone smooshing Disera, and wasn't sure what he'd do if that happened. Probably turn into a psychokinetic ball of pure fury. - - - "No pain, no gain. I like a challenge every once and awhile. It's no fun otherwise. I think I'll congratulate myself if I get a few broken ribs in the process. And hey, as long as she's still unconscious when we get back... should be easy." Zinc said, as he paid for the dress, getting a little more than a raised eyebrow at the "unconscious" comment. Once he had gotten a hold of the dress and retrieved his bag of cans, he turned to Julian with a grunt at his in adequate response. "Maybe taking a wall out would prove to be more entertaining." He said, blandly. "Derp derp, Julian is robot. You know, when you're around for a few centuries, wealth accumulates. And what am I gonna do with it?"
Buy Doritos. Zinc shrugged, hummed and went out the door. "My expectations, are sadly, smooshed. You're far more boring to hang around with than I initially estimated. Didn't even stab me once. Or raise your voice. I mean, I'm sure I could do something to really set you off, but I kind of like being only mildly irritating and with my make-believe organs where they belong. So if you're so bored, you might as well skip on back to the circus, Julie. Unless you wanna carry my bags. I still have another stop... " He peered down the street, trying to decide what exactly that other stop was. Well he was sure there was something down there he'd be interested in buying, anyhow. "Have any good dreams, lately, Julian?"

((We knew that already. o_o But I think "a bit" is probably an understatement. xD I want to hug Dravius cause he's adorable. And I want to hug Spider because he is adorable too. o_o)) Maya had been absently running a finger through the sand in front of her, glancing up to frown at Nylat when she heard the hybrid's voice. What?... At what point had the conversation turned to the water?... She blinked in confusion, then sighed and went back to looking at the sand. She had been in the process of thinking about when she could possibly have mentioned the sea, therefor causing Nylat to voice her little statement, when she was distracted by Dravius's voice. She looked at him, frowning slightly. Fix it?... There was no way of him fixing it, not unless he was able to completely erase the past, anyway. She would have called him dense, but she was more than certain it probably went quite a bit further than that. There wasn't a word for what he was, it went beyond the boundary of what could even be remotely clas.sed as "dense". With this in mind, she reined in her slight, fleeting irritation, and dismissed it with an explosive sigh. Alright. Blunt it was. "You already know, you just have this strange ability to seem to forget it all pretty much as soon as it happens," She murmered, keeping her eyes glued to the sand. "I don't know whether or not your aware of just how close we came to losing you last night, and my week hasn't exactly been tolerable as it is... It's just, getting a bit much, that's all," She sighed. "Your probably not even aware of just how much everything that ever seems to happen to you affects me," She glanced up in time to see the Co-Master hold out his arms, and she became instantly torn between wanting to hug him, hit him, and laugh at him. He was such a dope, and here she was trying to explain something of some seriousness to him. She snorted slightly in supressed mirth, remembering Dravius's words last night regarding his lack of hugs. It was more out of pity, she thought, that she accepted his invitation and crawled into his arms, sliding her own around his waist and resting her head against the front of his shoulder. It wasn't entirely true, of course. She wanted to hug him, and the contact provided all the evidence she needed to reas.sure herself he was still there, that last night could easily pas.s as nothing but a bad dream. The butterfly's lack of sleep and the warm weather almost immediately had her dozing lightly against the Co-Master, her hair falling to obscure her now closed eyes as she continued, her voice weary and near sleep. "Falling in love with you has proven to be one of the most difficult, and probably stupid, things I have ever had the dumb sense to do," She murmered quietly, the pain in her tired voice obvious. It was true, the anguish such feelings caused her had put her in an awful situation the past few days, and it had all piled up, all a little too quickly. It didn't really cross her mind that this was the first time she'd spoken to Dravius directly regarding this issue, nor that she had, essentially, just told him herself what he'd already found out from other people. Well... No point being evasive about it now. ~~~ Raphael bowed his head slightly in acknowledgement of Spiders words, before allowing his gray eyes to fall on Kioko. "That it is," He replied with an open smile. "Seems she's been keeping secrets," He glanced off towards the beach, still smiling, when a new voice caused him to pull his gaze away, looking earthward with a raised eyebrow. The dark mattered, almost vapourous body of the huge spider immediately told him it was Disera, and he brought a hand up in warm greeting, smiling widely at Spiders obvious pleasure and comfortable state towards her current form. Well, it was to be epxected, he supposed, all things considered. "Hello there, Disera. I take it you've been wandering the grounds again?" Raphael asked, chuckling quietly and slipping his hands into his pockets. He'd seen her many times, each in a different form, seeming to walk without much of an aim around the Circus camp and surrounding area. "Where is that magician of yours, by the way?" He asked Disera as an afterthought, glancing once again off towards the beach. ~~~ Rolling his eyes at Zinc and his response, Julian took another step away from the store window, raising his eyebrows as the pink haired male took off on a personal tirade, complaining. As usual. He sighed through his nose, following the bogeyman out of the shop without so much as a backward glance. The Sword Master paused outside the door, his eyes falling on a gaping, terrified looking child, who seemed to be completely enthralled in staring at the weapons that decorated the tall males belt. He tore his eyes away when he heard Zinc speak again, his face unreadable. He seemed to pay little to no attention to the bogeymans words, though he was, in fact, listening. Oh, he wanted to get stabbed?... That could easily be rectified, if he so wished, and as for the boredom. Well, he wasn't really all that bored. Julian had quite enjoyed being away from the Circus grounds for a while, the experience only slightly marred by the small pitfall of Zinc's company. It was the "Julie" that got his full attention, however, and his eyes narrowed slightly as he bypas.sed Zinc's last question. He was pretty sure he'd already warned the damn monster to keep his names to himself, and on far more than just one occasion today. He swiftly pulled a small, pointed dagger from the right side of his belt, flicking it with deceptive casualness and with seemingly no thought in Zinc's direction. The metal point hit the shop wall an inch or so to the left of the bogeymans head with a sharp crack. Julian was rarely annoyed, but there was a constant, grating irritation that seemed only to show itself when this pink headed idiot was around. It wasn't so much hate as it was an agitating and constant nag. "If you don't mind," He said darkly. "Hurry up. I'd hate to leave you in such close proximity to the locals without someone to keep an eye on you, they really don't deserve to be exposed to that particular risk," Pulling the dagger from the wall, he slipped it back onto his belt and started walking down the street, ignoring the wary and on-edge gazes that followed the dark males steps.

((Ahh! So much squishing! -Shivers-)) Dravius kept silent throughout Maya's sighs and murmers, a slight smile flashing across his face at her snort, and sighed slightly as she crawled into his hug, pressing herself against his thin shoulder. He looked slightly suprised as Maya began falling asleep on him, his good eye widening at her comment about falling in love, and he set his chin gently on top of her golden head, his arms wrapped loosely around the girl's waist. "Probably true, May," He muttered, lifting his head from Maya's. "I've just been too thick to even realize it 'till just a bit ago," Dravius sighed through his nose, coughing quietly at the end of his exhale. "Regarding my ability to forget, Maya, it's more that I just don't want to think about it, so I don't. Maybe my brain's just wired different than anyone else's," Draviusshrugged his shoulders gently, careful not to move his arms too much, and managing to keep Mayanna's head releatively still. Maya's added warmth was quite nice, as Dravius always seemed to be cold, even in the heat of the day and wearing such heavy clothing. Maya's hair drifted over his face, and Dravius yawned. Maya was incredibly warm against him, her drows form leaning heavily on his shoulder. It was enough to wish that moment lasted forever, but these kind of moments were usually cut usually short. The sun glinted off the water, glittering serenely in the afternoon, throwing bits of light up to Dravius's eyes, and illuminating any fish that darted beneath the sea.

"Aww, thank you Spider." Disera replied, mentally cheering at his reaction. She crawled over to his foot, scurrying up the boy's pant leg till she was perched on his knee. "You don't mind if I sit on you for a bit, do you? Don't want to get under somebody's foot." She lifted one foreleg in what could have pas.sed for a shrug. "Not that I think anyone here would squish me on purpose, but people get busy and don't look where they're stepping." Not that a glowing eyed spider made of blue mist was easy to ignore, but no sense in taking chances, after all. "Heylo, Raphael," Disera greeted. "Yep, it's not often I can wander around in the open like this. Usually I have to take the form of a bug and hide on Selvai, or stay in the woods while he goes into the nearest town and gets supplies. Hard not to attract attention when you're a blue foggy critter. Of course, my real form is even more conspicuous, so I'm lucky I can shift." "I ask that question alot myself, actually," the shifter joked in reply to his second question. "I saw him this morning when he woke up, but I went for a walk in the woods and came back here. But he's around somewhere, don't worry. I can sense him, not far away." ------------------------------------ Down on the beach, Selvai waded out of the water, leaving behind the group of circus members he'd been having a water fight with. He twisted the saltwater out of his air and began strolling along the beach, casually looking at the other circus members further up on the beach. He caught sight of Dravius holding a sleeping Maya and nodded to them before moving on, not wanting to disturb the pair. A little further down the beach, the magician noticed a dark shape floating in the water, and watched it for a moment, wondering what it was, until it yawned, exposing it's teeth and revealing itself as an alligator. "I hope that's you, Kanec," he called out, noticing how close the animal was to the circus members who were still in the water.

"I hadn't thought you'd realize unless you'd been told," Maya murmered in after yawning slightly, snuggling closer to Dravius when she felt him rest his head on hers. She remained where she was, opening her eyes only slightly to look at the sand and sighing quietly as she did so. Her thoughts, turned to Break and the week in general, and the butterfly winged teen seemed almost to subconsciously tighten her arms slightly around Dravius. Ugh. Memories. She wouldn't get rid of those ones for a while. Her entire body tensed noticeably as she ran through almost everything that had taken place, shuddering visibly. Sighing again, Maya forced herself away from the Co-Master slightly so that she was able to turn her head, eventually settling back into the hug, her eyes now on the ocean, a hurting ex pression still present on her features. She was still feeling very drowsy, and it was taking a bit of effort to keep herself awake. She refused to let herself rest yet, though. Frowning slightly, she pulled herself away again so that she could look Dravius in the face, her hair running freely over both her shoulders, her ex pression both apologetic and sad. "I'm sorry," She said, unsure of just what she was actually apologising for as she gingerly and softly placed a hand over the injury on the Co-Masters cheek. She frowned again and looked at the sand some 2 feet to the side of Dravius, before she gently flopped against him, sighing and falling quickly back into her half-dozing state, her arms still around his waist. The week, last night particularly, had taken all of it out of her, and the warmth that emanated from Dravius was simply making it harder to stay awake.

"No, not at all." And though Spider had serious doubts about any squishing being "accidental" he kept his mouth shut, and merely leaned back, listening quietly to Disera speak to Raphael. And he got thinking about being inconspicuous, and dwelled on the fact that he could never live a normal life. Maybe he could get some sungla.sses. Isn't that what Yama wore when she walked around? As longs as the eyes were covered, maybe they weren't that strange looking after all. Yama shifted in her sleep, eyes sliding open to stare blankly ahead for a moment before closing again. It was too quiet. She almost couldn't believe she was thinking that. It made her nervous. - - - Zinc exploded in slightly muffled laughter after Julian walked away, and paused before running after him, to rea.ssure the locals that all was well ("It's just his time of the month"). He draped the plastic bag covered dress over his shoulder and scampered after him. "Oh Julie, you're so scary. Really, truly. I mean, you have succeeded in terrifying me. And what kind of insult was that, seriously? I mean... hey, I'm not the one throwing knives all over the place. What risk am I providing? Except... the obvious." With the hand free of groceries, Zinc gave a limp-wristed wave. "For being such a tough guy you sure do get bent out of shape at harmless nicknames. And telling me I need supervision is just gonna make me drag this out longer. Maybe I'll go see a movie and get some dinner." [[ffff I have brain block. also. so irritated seriously. stupid life gragh.]]
