((So far in the closet he's finding Christmas presents XD Sorry, I had to throw in my own Zinc/closet joke there.)) "I was simply down on the beach with some of the other circus members. They're still planning revenge for the water fight by the way, Raphael," He informed the Circus Master. The magician came to a stop a few feet from Kanec. "There all of you are," Selvai greeted the group by the van, returning Spider's small wave with a smile. "Good afternoon, everyone." He looked at Disera perched on the boy's hand with amusement. "I leave you alone for a bit, and I come back to find you flirting and holding hands with Spider? What am I going to do with you, Disera?" Selvai asked with mock disappointment, shaking his head. "Buh?!" Shocked, Disera was at a loss for words as Selvai smirked in amusement at her. It wasn't until she heard Kioko's quiet giggling that she realized he was joking with her. "Oh. Funny, Selvai. Just remember, I know where and how you sleep." "You two share a van, don't you? It would be weird if you didn't know where he slept," Kioko pointed out. "True, Kioko," Selvai agreed. Disera was interrupted from her retort by Raphael's sudden departure. "What happened with him?" "I'm not quite sure," The magician replied, eyeing Yama as she slipped away as well, unnoticed by Kioko, Disera or Spider. He gave the three a reas.suring smile, even though he had a feeling something unpleasant was afoot. "Disera, could you stay with Kioko and Spider for a moment?" He left the group abruptly, walking around the opposite end of the van that Yama had taken. Well, damn. A large group of police officers had gathered on the beach, led by a policewoman with an unhappy ex pression on her face. The sorcerer sighed as he ran a hand though his damp hair. Of course. More stress and drama when everyone was just beginning to settle down. Perfect. Looking over at the scene, he noted that Raphael had joined Dravius and Maya, and the latter looked as though she was about to breakdown from the ordeal. Selvai strode over to the group, managing to catch the last of Yama's outraged speech as he reached them. So, the policewoman was fixated on Dravius, then. Not good for Maya's emotional state, considering how close the two were. "Excuse me," He smiled politely at the sour faced policewoman before turning to the group of Circus members. "I don't mean to interrupt, but I was wondering if I may borrow Miss Maya for a moment?" the magician placed a hand on the butterfly's shoulder, frowning briefly when he noticed the girl shaking from stress. "Kioko is having a bit of an issue, and I was wondering if you could help her, since it's a bit personal, and she's more comfortable with you." So he was blatantly lying. Selvai doubted Kioko would care if it helped to keep Maya from having a breakdown.

The female officer raised an eyebrow at Yama's long tirade, she grinned and waved a hand, showing her a long-winded search warrant, which was for simply the grounds, along with a huge pile of paper that indeed listed every van in the circus excluding the two that had been bought in the last town, which happened to be for the new members. "And here's the arrest warrant," The officer handed Yama a few sheets of paper, which contained a warrant for arrest for one Dravius Wolfe, aged eighteen. "And I have the grounds to arrest him for almost one hundred major thefts, and more than one murder," "Oh, this isn't just for Mister Wolfe. It was just good fortune to find him. My husband lost half'a the skin off his face for the little devil," The officer crossed her arms, glaring at the tall, white-and-black haired boy. The woman seemed to be holding a grudge for a stupidly long time. The woman seemed to have some scars on her face and neck, mostly near her eyes and ears. Dravius's face grew even harsher, if possible, his arms crossed defensively in front of his chest. This stupid woman. Dravius growled breifly before shaking his head, clearing it of the increasing fog of anger. Sneezing, Dravius stared hard into the sand, his fists clenched and his muscles trembling along his shoulders and back. His lean form was coiled and tense, his jaw clenched as he glared a hole in the sand. Everything from the past few days had just been piling up, all the negative feelings building up, tied into a huge bundle of ever-increasing frustration and anger. Why couldn't he just let anything go until it exploded? The thought of this just added to his frustration, as his face just grew darker and darker. This idiotic "police" squad was packing more stress to the already fragile ropes of Dravius's control. The boy took a huge breath, trying to crush and pack the blooming cloud of anger down further, exhaling through his nose. "If I agree to come with you, for a trail or whatever, you gonna leave the rest of the circus alone, past lookin' for children?" Looking seriously at the police woman, who's face now held a look of slightly disbelieving triumph. "I will, at the very least Mister Wolfe," She smirked, her brown eyes as hard as chips of stone.
"Never bring that horrid drink here again." "It tastes of blue, not the river-dwelling reptile, as I had thought."

((You havn't Mych. xD I couldn't post really 'til Dravvy did, and Ny got herself banned from the computer again. o_o)) Looking up to rest his eyes on the revealed search warrant, Raphael frowned slightly from where he stood by Maya and Dravius. Alright. That would prove no problem. Naturally though, the Ring Master knew that this wasn't really about the kids. No... This womans grudge was clearly aimed in the Co-Masters direction, and for the first time in a long time, Raphael was unsure of what to do. If what this woman said was true, that the case had been renewed, then there was no way they'd be able to run, not unless they wanted to just dissapear off the face of the earth, or end up on the other side of the world. Performances would be out of the question, and the Circus would go down like the Titanic. Sure, Raphael could cast an illusion or two, but there was only so long he could go here, and he'd eventually do himself harm if he tried to permenantly hide the Circus and its inhabitants. Heck. There was a slim chance they may have got away with this considering how Dravius was raised. Afterall, an 11 year old boy did not just start killing people and stealing. Unfortunately, doing that now would raise questions about his guardian, Break, and that was most definately not a good idea, even though, perhaps, it may have been their only chance out of this. He sighed quietly, resting his wary eyes Dravius, who he saw was quickly running out of patience. On top of this, he was becoming increasingly worried over Maya's state of mind. The butterfly-winged teen had simply being watching the officer with intense dislike, her ex pression torn between severe concern and agitation. It felt almost as though everything was merely focusing on trying to completely remove Dravius from the picture, and it was really beginning to take its toll. Of all the people in the Circus, it just had to be focused around the Co-Master, the one person she cared about most. It was stupid. Maya winced slightly as her thoughts caused her now prominent headache to throb painfully, becoming increasingly edgy. She couldn't handle this much longer. She brought both of her hands up to her face, covering her eyes with her fingers in an attempt to stem the dull ache in her head. After a minute or two, she realised that it really wasn't helping, before dropping both arms and glancing in Dravius's direction. She frowned slightly, she was being selfish... Here she was, concerned over losing Dravius when the Co-Master was probably having it much worse, his face clearly stating his irritation and pent-up anger. No. They couldn't afford to have him lose it again, there'd be no way out of this if that happened. Without really thinking about it, she reached out and rested her slender hand on the upper arm of the tensed Co-Master, tightening her grip re-as.suringly. She barely had time to string words together before she heard Selvai's voice, glancing over her shoulder to look at him. She dropped her hand from Dravius's arm to frown slightly at him as he put a hand on her shoulder. Not even bothering to answer, she turned and walked away from the group, heading back towards the vans without really paying attention. Raphael, whose eyes were back on the officer, nodded at Selvai without looking over. The quicker her got Maya out of here, the better. "Very well done, Selvai," He murmered under his breath, not really loud enough for anyone to hear. Itwas good timing too, as Dravius at that moment chose to voice his agreement, and Rahpael was more than sure Maya would have had some severe objections here. He glanced at Selvai. "Keep an eye on her for me, would you?... She's had about enough to deal with this week," He said, before turning back to Dravius. He had no clue what he could possibly say to the kid. Facing it seemed to be the only choice they had at the moment. Damnit.

((Oh, I love Yama too. -Laughs- Too lazy to post right now... EDIT:: I'm so tireeed!)) Dravius relaxed his face as Maya put a hand on his arm, turning towards the girl just in time to see her leave. Even if it was best, Dravius felt a sort of sadness that she had left, but shook his head and returned his dark glare to the woman. "Turn around, kid," She spat, and two policemen stepped forewards, clamping meatly hands on wither of Dravius's arms, while the woman deftly handcuffed him, Dravius's face flat and blank, as if he had retreated inside himself. Sometimes it seemed that Dravius was just like his van, able to put nails up to keep people away and himself inside at any time. The woman had a mean look on her face as she looked towards Sh'Yama and said with a sneer, "Maybe your 'attorney' can get Mr. Wolfe out of this one," Dravius looked down at the ground, studying the large shoes of the rather heavy policemen still gripping his arms in a way that would have hurt if he could have felt it. Shoving Dravius roughly, one of the policemen growled, "Go," and Dravius complied, lifting his head up and waving two hands together with a thin smile. "Hopefully I'll be back," The woods seemed dark, trees looming like thin beings grasping towards Dravius, and as the squad marched along, Dravius squeezed his fists together. The metal resting on his thin wrists was ice cold, and Dravius had to breathe several times deeply through his nose to keep from screaming. Gone was any anger, replaced by a thick coil of fear sitting heavy in his stomach. Any teenager would be scared enough of the police, but one that knew he was guilty of something serious, was on the verge of pas.sing out. The town was bright, with several clumps of people standing around with smiles, but all smiles stopped as Dravius was practically dragged towards the police station by the two large policemen, his face still bearing some semblance of a smile. "Sidd'own," Was the grunt Dravius recieved at the police station, and was pushed down by his shoulder, sitting heavily on a hard bench next to one other boy his age, with bright blue dyed hair and muddy brown eyes. Dravius coughed at the stench emenating from the boy, who smiled with a mouth missing a few teeth. The boy reeked of alchohol, and smoke, the alchohol bearing a stink of vodka or gin, mixed with vomit and plain old un-washedness. Dravius coughed again into his sleeve, looking at the boy out of the corner of his good eye as his hands were roughly yanked behid him and he was handcuffed to the bench. The other was bound in a similar manner, although he seemed easier about it as both thier ankles were cuffed to one leg of the bench, Dravius hyperventilating slightly as he looked around the station, which also seemed to be a halding area for criminals. "I ain' never seen yous before," Dravius jumped as the filthy boy spoke, biting down on his lip before turning and saying, "No, I don't live here." The boy's voice was rusty and hoarse, with a rasp that made Dravius's throat hurt as well. "I'm...from the circus," Dravius continued, trying desprately to breath through his mouth and his mouth only. "Coo'" The boy answered, twisting his head from side to side. "What'chu in for?" He asked, his heasd lolling slightly as he tried to focus on the white-haired circus member, "Theft and murder," Dravius said shortly, turning away. "Aw, I cannae match tha'. I'm only here fer bozzin' and dealin',"The other laughed, a thick string of snot dangling from his nostril.
"Never bring that horrid drink here again." "It tastes of blue, not the river-dwelling reptile, as I had thought."

[[Yama feels so loved. C:]] "Holding hands?" Spider blurted, looking down. "She doesn't have hands." He said, brows furrowing. Flirting? What did that word mean again? Maybe he'd ask Zinc later. Flirting... flirt... what a weird word. Kind of rhymed with hurt. He hoped it had nothing to do with hurting. Spider pulled his sweater down off of his face and frowned, watching Selvai walk away. "... why can't good things ever happen?" He asked, sadly, and sighed in a defeated and childlike way. Why did the world have to be so awful? - - -
Something wasn't right here at all. With disgust, Sh'Yama leafed through the files. It was impossible to get all of these warrants. "Sure, good fortune, and not a personal vendetta. This isn't a coincidence, and if you think I'm going to believe it is... you're on the shallow end of the gene pool." Sh'Yama murmured, eyes hesitating over a few lines on the current piece of paperwork she was going over, before glancing up.
Sh'Yama eyed the scars on the woman with little interest. Scars were nothing new, and she was too busy fantasizing on what she'd do to the rest of this woman's husband if she ever came across him. People who wasted their lives over such a thing as vanity truly had no place in Sh'Yama's heart.
She might have snapped at Dravius for speaking, but bit her tongue. That was stupid. They'd need someone to actually evaluate these. But of course, they were working on Circus education here, not her superior education. At the female officers words as she departed, Sh'Yama's lips split into a wide, mad grin, and she tipped her sungla.sses down. "I'm quite positive she can." She said, her voice the dark and crackly whisper of icy wind, the surefire sign Wendy was present. Her attorney was the knife in her boot. Yama found it a deliciously ironic nickname.
Yama abruptly turned to Raphael. "What do we do? I have a solution... a solution that would probably cause more problems than it would solve. But it is a solution that would make me feel better." She hissed, eyes narrowing into a glare as she watched the officers leave the grounds. - - -
Zinc almost poked Julian in the back, but thought against it. He was afraid of the consequences. That being, damage to his merchandise. "I never hide in my closet. And you know, the rules are basically that I can't kill someone or cause irreversible damage. I could still punch you or something. It's just that I can pretty much shrug off a rocket to the face, so abusing that is a no-no. I mean, as funny as the closet jokes are, they'd seriously lock me in there forever."
Whoever they were. Zinc wasn't even sure, himself. It'd been awhile since he heard from any. Hopefully, they'd all died off. But that was probably a bad thing. He somehow decided to blame humans for it. "And I know, I am totally his most favorite person ever. I am the only one who is nice to him. Your whole circus is full of jerks and hippies. In all honesty, he's always been like that. Well, not always always, but when you've convinced yourself you're 13 centimeters long and your family keeps throwing boots at you... it has a negative effect."
"And you know, I don't know who's what or why. He's dead. Clyde is, I mean. Spider before Spider? The human part. Or stuck in there. I don't know exactly what Laurence did— that's the jerk who was playing with his foofoo magic and got all God-Happy. Essentially the twins have three souls in their body. Western widow, human, and another spirit. But it's weird... they're all bound together to make one, and yet, still separate soul. I've actually spoken with Spider's poltergeist before. What a weirdo.
"Yama... well, it's probably a good thing that wendigo is under wraps... Usually Wendigos possess humans and make them cannibalize friends and family. In this case, it's locked up with a saucy Indian woman and a beady-eyed 'tard spider. Spider really got the short end of the stick. He was messed up before he was messed up."
Zinc might have gone on, but the gathering of the fuzz made him stop, and he made a noise as he watched Dravius get hauled pa.ssed. The natural reaction was a colorful curse, and he started to mumble to himself in a quiet voice. "I could get away with the Freddy Krueger method. It's just a tad difficult keeping them asleep long enough to kill them." He said, eyes glowing slightly as he stared off down the street. Were they just gonna walk him there? What kind of town was this?

"No hopefully about it," Raphael muttered under his breath as Dravius was taken away, before glancing towards Yama when she spoke. Yep. Leaving her to deal with it would not be a good idea, they needed to get Dravius out of there with no reason for them to run. "As much as I would love for you to go and do what you do best, I really think we should think about it first," He did, afterall, have the Circus to consider, and running from the law would provide no-one with any comfort. All it would serve to do, would be to halt everything that was, essentially, required to give these people a home. He sighed, his face hardening and his eyes narrowing when he came up with a complicated and probably unreliable solution. "I think I have an idea," He said, frowning slightly. "If all goes well, the worst we'll get out of it is a serious headache on my part," He glanced at Yama, then started to follow where the officers and Dravius had left. "Let's go alter people's perception a little, hm?" ~~~ Still walking, Julian silently berated himself for saying anything. For every sentence you spoke, Zinc returned with a paragraph. "You talk too much," He murmered, closing his eyes and frowning, his features clearly stating he was trying and failing to block out the bogeymans voice. He did, strangely enough, find himself somewhat intruiged by Zinc's revalation of Spiders and Yama's pasts. Well, it explained a lot, anyway. Like Zinc, Julian's attention was almost immediately diverted from his thoughts by the pas.sing police, his face as dark as a thundercloud when he spotted Dravius. "The hell is this?" He murmered, watching the small group pas.s. Clearly, he'd missed something pretty significant being stuck out here in town with a pink haired closet monster. He was on the verge of literally dissapearing into thin air in order to head back to Raphael and find out what was wrong, when said Ring Master approached. "Raphael. What exactly have we missed?" The Sword Master said somewhat angrily. Like most of the other members, the usually patient Julian was beginning to lose his calm with all these issues they were having. At this point, he'd probably start recommending people leave the Circus. "Oh, you know. The past caught up with us. Again. Shouldn't be surprised," He snorted, looking off down the street where Dravius had been taken. "Actually, I'm about to go ruin that woman's revenge plan. Whatever she says will not come out quite right... Well, not to the people she'll talk to, she'll probably be trying to charge Dravius for burning marshmallows or something. And they'll be no solid evidence or proof either, such a pity ... Shouldn't be too hard to get this case closed again." Raphael frowned slightly. He still wasn't entirely sure what he was doing, which was partly the reason he was unsure of its results. If the whole policing staff were after Dravius, it wouldn't work, however. If it was simply one womans revenge, it would. So long as the other police had no real interest in Dravius, all should be fine. Aright. Plan so far: Alter people's perception so that the female officer in question sounds like a raving lunatic, hide all evidence against the kid mentally, and have the higher ups hear nothing but petty and pointless issues. Again, burning marshmallows, for example. He may even slip a few hints in about the guardian the kid had been brought up with. Not mentioning no names. mind. You know, just to pinpoint the fact you can't really charge someone who was 11 years old at the time and, quite literally, raised by a madman. Dravius afterall, had not been heard from since. The case had been dropped. Hell, Dravius had come across officers before, and they knew who he was. The officers also knew about Break, they should have had enough sense to realise it all stemmed from him, this thought simply made Raphael more sure. This woman simply had a personal motive, and the others would most likely have more of a brain than she. Still, his illusions would be used, just to be sure. He really hated doing this to people. That poor woman would probably get locked up in some crazy asylum for chasing a phantom. Too bad Raphael didn't particularly care by this point. "Excuse me, I have to go retrieve our Co-Master," Turning, the blonde illusionist left, once again following the trail of officers, leaving Julian looking somewhat perplexed. The Sword Master understood very little of what Dravius had been taken in for, though he as.sumed it was probably best to just stay out of it. It didn't take long for Raphael to reach the police station, casting an illusion that hid him entirely from the sight of any living person, Dravius included. He slipped into the building, spotting the kid, before glancing around and focusing his gaze on the woman officer. Alright. Crazy lunatic it was. No doubt the other officers would think she was wasting their time. Well. Without proof or evidence, she had no chance. Not to mention, they probably already knew about how he had been raised, he couldn't be blamed. They'd got him out of this situation before because of his raising. Raphael was sure any judge or jury would not be stupid enough to listen to that woman, but. The illusion was there just in case. And so he cast it. An illusion that would essentially make this female officer look like an idiot, or atleast... A little too obsessed with her quarry, any one who heard her speak would not hear exactly what was being said, but rather an exaggerated version... not to mention, he had to mentally hide any proof she had on her. Papers and the like. Anything she could show would have absoloutely no information on them as long as the Ring Master held his illusion. Well, not to people she showed them to, anyway. He still thought this was stupid. It was just Dravius's bad luck there was a woman in the world with a serious grudge. He chose not to think about the after-effects these small illusionary details would cause later. His only hope would that this would be over quickly, so they could return to the Circus and continue with their vacation. They really, really needed this break right now, and with any luck, that's what they'd get. No holding his breath for it though.

"He's just joking around, Spider," Disera said. "You should enjoy it, it's a rare event." Disera would have explained the "holding hands" thing to him, but Spider had already gone into "sad puppy" mode. Fighting back a sigh, she crawled up his leg to perch on his kneecap, so that she was closer to eye level with the boy. "Aww, Spider. Don't think like that. There's plenty of good things, if you look for them. Like how you found out you have a sister," Disera told him, conveniently forgetting the previous night's chase. "And you, get over here with us," the shifter waved one little spider leg at Kioko, who had moved away from them to watch the group on the beach. "Selvai told me to watch you two kids until everyone else gets back." Nervously chewing her bottom lip, Kioko didn't even bother correcting Disera's statement as she plopped down on the sand next to Spider. The pyro fidgeted with the hem of her cloak, eyes downcast. "The police took Dravius away," she muttered softly, glancing sideways at them. "He'll be okay right? They won't take anyone else, will they?" A memory of her life before the Majikus came to mind. Angry voices and a dark, frightening closet caused her to pull her knees up to her chest. The teen bowed her head, her hair obscuring her face. "I don't want to go back there," she whispered. ------------------------------- "Of course," Selvai replied, nodding slightly at Raphael before striding after Maya, managing to catch up with her near the circus vans. "Maya," the sorcerer called out to get her attention. "I am sorry about what happened," Selvai began once they were away out of earshot of the crowd of police. "I know you and Dravius are close, and that this is taking a toll on you." "I won't bother asking if you are alright, since it's obvious you aren't. No one would be, after everything that has happened. But I will ask that you not keep everything to yourself. Trying to bottle up your emotions will do nothing but cause more unhappiness. And there are plenty of people in the Circus who would be there to listen if you wished." He hesitated slightly before speaking again. "Also. I should apologize for misleading you before. Kioko doesn't require your help. I simply thought you needed to get away from the stress of the situation." ((The first draft of this was better, but I accidentally closed the tab, and... yeah >_>))

((Ack! Seven minutes!)) Nylat, yawning still, was padding out toward the water when a rather shaken Maya pas.sed her. Stopping mid-step, she turned, and caught up, matching her friend's pace and looking up. She was oblivious to what had happened, but if she had gone out to the beach, the smell of strangers would have been proof enough. And police officers scared her more than hospitals. She'd been chased a good few years because of being an illegal hybrid and therefore, she'd grown a fear of 'em. A hate. "What's wrong, Maya? I've misseed something, haven't I? Man, I leave you alone for two seconds and..." She trailed off, muttering to herself, berating herself for not keeping a close eye on the area. 'Swhat she got. She glanced over at Selvai as he approached, and pricked her ears, trying to make sense of what he said. "Wait, what did that boy get himself into this time?" ~~ Kanec, having shifted into a hawk at the first sign of trouble, was now perched on a Circus member's shoudler, screeching rather loudly, making sure his dismay was plain. He felt it better than ranting. With a squack, he rose into the air, and shifted into his human self, wishing he'd taken time to learn how to shift into a dragon. Those cops wouldn't have gotten away so easily. Dragons could strike enough fear in someone to freeze them like a basalisk.

Maya had her eyes on the sand as she walked, only looking up when she heard Selvai, pausing to watch the magician approach. She listened to him in silence, her ex pression both aware and tinted with a sadness that had been present for the 5 or 6 days. This really was not hers, or the Circus's, week. She smiled slightly at the magician, crossing her arms behind her back, and continuing to walk towards the vans. "I know, and thank you," She replied, referring to Selvai's mention of not keeping things to herself and having people in the Circus she could talk to. She knew that, it was Dravius who kept to himself, more so than she did, anyway. And as for his second statement, she knew that also. It was however, nice to hear from someone. She blinked at Selvai's last words, then closed her eyes and smiled. "Alright," She murmered, looking at her colourful van not too far from them. She wanted to just go sit in it, and probably stay there for the rest of the week... And maybe the week after that too. Shaking her head, she fought that compulsion, glancing around, and spotting Spider, Kioko and Disera not too far away, over by another van. Before she could say anything about Kioko's nervous state, she heard Nylats voice, and glanced at the hybrid with a frown. She was so protective, but the blonde girl didn't really mind. She should be used to it after 7 years with the hybrid. Sighing slightly, she stared off towards the ocean, her eyes distant. "He did nothing," She replied, her voice harbouring a strange harshness and hate that was most unlike her. "The police want him for things he did seven years ago, things he probably had no control over," She then proceeded to grumble under her breath, almost on the verge of walking towards her van in the hopes of just locking herself away for a while. Her mind, however, refused to let her forget about Kioko. Sighing again, Maya brought her eyes away from the ocean, nodding slightly at Selvai and Nylat, and walked towards the little group, kneeling next to Kioko and putting her own feelings aside for the moment. She could hide in her van later. "Hello, Spider, Disera" She said quietly with a slight smile, before turning her violet gaze to the young pyro. "Kioko?... Is there something wrong?" Her face was warm, though it still harboured a quiet sadness that seemed to be such a big part of the girls emotions lately.

[[hate it when that happens Mych. D: also: mid-term week. *thundercrash*]] Yama nodded, but not without a small snort of irritation. She was very sick of this. Keeping in mind how her solutions would effect other people was a bother. Never did her mind stray to the peoples families or what they might lose due to her actions a majority of the time, and not now. But the Circus members, for whatever reason, had her concern. Despite the fact that she really didn't think they deserved it, and she could be out of here and gone in less than a half an hour.
With a small smile on her face, one that held no joy, Yama followed Raphael. She loved altering peoples perception of reality. Of course she was aware that Raphael was going to use actual illusionist methods and not rip out someones eyes or devour them alive in front of them. But still, reality was a thing that needed to be warped for some people.
"You take heed to not screw up, Mister Raphael." Yama warned Raphael's back as he walked away. "We wouldn't want to fall back on plan B." She finished, and glanced over at Julian and Zinc, who she had calmly ignored as she curiously followed Raphael. "What are you doing out here with him?" She asked Julian, a long-nailed finger jabbed in Zinc's direction. "I'm surprised your head hasn't exploded."

Zinc might have graced Julian with a response, something like "well you speak to little" but decided to keep his mouth shut, considering the turn of events. There was a tic in his lip. A slight jerk in the right corner of his mouth. "I swear, one more incident. One. One that doesn't involve Sh'Yama doing something. And I am taking them away. Hell, maybe a few of your circus members. They don't ALL have to put up with Mister Wolfe's stupid drama bombs every other day." Zinc grumbled irritably, glancing around at Julian.
"I'm sure you agree." He said, "Or at least understand my irritation." Before he could probably go on to another ranting paragraph, Yama's finger was shoved into his face. "Ohh, hello Wendy." Zinc oozed, making sure his back and the dress was turned away from her. "Wide awake?"

"I... guess I understand he was joking. Holding hands is rare?" That's odd. Certainly wasn't a rare event in his case. Or maybe that was just Zinc. He should ask him about that too. "Or is it flirting that's rare? I need a dictionary..."
Spider stuck his lip out in defiance to Disera's comfort. "Bad things outweigh good. That's one thing out of MILLIONS. Two good things. My sister and friends. Then everything else is awful. Except pancakes." He sat up and looked at Kioko. He hadn't been paying attention to what was going on, and took that information as a bit of a surprise. Spider's ex pression suddenly turned very unpleasant. "They wont take any one else!" He declared, quietly.
He'd make sure of it. Sitting around being scared and whining all of the time... maybe he'd better start standing up to protect his friends, since bad stuff was obviously going to go on forever. Anger deflating slightly, Spider almost didn't say anything to Maya, since he couldn't seem to get his throat to work properly. "Hello Maya."
