((Aw. *hugs*)) Nylat followed calmly, ears laid back, growling a bit, but keeping her jaws shut firmly. It was plain to her that there was some sort of corruption in this. After all, most cases, even as bad as Dravius's, were dropped after a few years. She flicked her tail, and stretched herself out behind Maya as she kneeled down, wondering at her question and tilting her head curiously to express this. She'd been negligent. She was often one to be nosy in other people's business, which made her one to comfort people, and her gentle nature compelled her to do so, but her recent worry for Maya had taken over her time. But she was only slightly resentful of her negligence--she placed the older members foremost in her worries. She was more connected to them. Choosing between them was the hard part. Yawning, the hybrid glanced over at Spider, flashing her toothy grin for a moment. She hybrid was obviously not in a mood to talk, but was not going to be rude because of it. After all, the bad week had had one hightlight--Break's death. And she was glad to be rid of him. Nylat, licking a paw and running it over her ear, mulled over the thought for a second, before dismissing it completely and returning her attention to Maya and Kioko, to hear the answer to the previously asked question. ((Maya will not be hiding in her van. D< *steals away*))

"What?" Disera asked, confused by Spiders response. "Oh, no, I meant- Never mind." She really didn't feel like explaining, especially not now that Kioko was unhappy. "Of course not," the shifter agreed with Spider. "I pity any idiot that tries! And hi there, Butterfly, Magician, and Nylat," Disera added when Maya, Selvai and Nylat appeared. Kioko blew out a long breath before looking up at Maya kneeling in front of her. "It's.." She stopped for moment, trying to figure out how to explain her feelings. "Those police, they took away Dravius, didn't they? Are they going to make anyone else leave? I-I don't have anywhere I belong except for the Circus. If they take me away, they'll make me go back to them. I don't think I could live with them again." Her shoulders began to shake and she dropped her head again as her eyes started to water. Kioko hid her face with her hands. "Oh, God. Dravius is the one in trouble, and I'm whining about myself. I must sound like the most selfish person in the world."

"Hello, Disera," Maya replied to the Summoned creature with a fleeting smile, before returning her gaze to the shaking Kioko. Her heart sank slightly when the pyro asked about Dravius, feeling somewhat regretful about not being there and trying to silently fight back that irrational anger and sadness. Inhaling slowly, the butterfly shook her head, looking directly at Kioko. "I doubt it," She replied, shifting from her kneeling position to sit with her legs crossed. "They can't take anyone else, Raphael and Dravius always ensure they have valid reasons and proof for keeping people here. Besides," Her face darkened slightly as she put a hand on Nylats head. "It seems to be more of a personal thing... They were after Dravius the entire time," She added, smiling sadly. "The rest of the Circus will be fine," Watching in silence as Kioko dropped her head, Maya smiled only slightly at the girls last words, gently placing a reas.suring arm over the pyro's shoulder. "You don't need to worry. Our Ring and Co-Masters wouldn't allow it," She murmered, dropping her gaze to the sand. "And I thought something similar about myself down on the beach," She added, referring to Kioko's self proclaimed selfishness. Maya looked off again towards the now empty beach, many members stood with angry expressions on their faces, no doubt seething over the unfairness of all that had just taken place. No surprise. She sighed quietly, glancing towards Disera and Spider, her arm still over Kioko's slim shoulders, before glancing skywards. "I'm really sorry you guys have all had to deal with this. It's hard enough as it is here without all these added problems," She sighed quietly, leaning her head against the van behind her, a huge, snow white butterfly landing on the girls slender shoulder; Standing out against her cascade of golden hair. ~~~ "I'd have to ask myself that question," Julian replied to Yama, his dark eyes on the street in which Raphael had left, before turning his steely gaze on Zinc. "Mm. He does seem to bring a lot of trouble with him these days... Shouldn'd be surprised with a past like his," He frowned. "Still. The fact everything is happening at once is really starting to grate on my patience," He looked off towards the opposite end of the street, hands in his pockets and his dark hair covering his eyes. "And I'd probably agree with you," He added. "Though I doubt many of the members would go with you. They'd be more likely to fight for Dravius first," The Sword Master shrugged, then turned back to watch Yama and Zinc, before looking back towards where Raphael had left. Guess all they could do now was wait.

Nylat purred lightly when Maya laid her hand on the hybrid's head, and listened carefully before standing, and padding the short distance to Kioko, flicking her tail to Disera in greeting before raising a paw under Kioko's chin, lightly lifting her head to face her. "Kioko, don't worry. They have more right to take me than they do you. And that's very little right they have for me. At least you aren't illegal." To some, it may have sounded humorous, and the light in her eyes said she had too, at some point, but it was the truth and in reality, she was rather seroius on the matter. "And don't worry about being selfish. Everyone is selfish plenty of times, no?" She flicked her ears, tilting her head a bit, her eyes kind and warm, before dropping her paw, and returning to her spot behind Maya, flopping her head on the ground and sighing deeply. She wasn't too sure about the rest of this vacation. She'd rather fight Jevak with no claws or teeth than relive what had gone on the past week. ((Eh. Too lazy to post for Kanec. He'll pop up again soon. And I dun feel like posting for Tara yet. Gotta. Draw. Her...D<))

Dravius tapped his foot impatiently, feeling the filthy boy's eyes on him. "Will you stop staring at me?" He snapped, whipping his head around to glare at the boy. "Yes, yes, I messed up my eye, I've got scars on my face, I'm sitting in a police station, but at least I don't smell as if I've been dipped in liquid skunk." The other boy opened his mouth in slight surprise, then laughed and said, "I was lookin' at you 'cause yer tongue's purple." Dravius smiled a bit in spite of himself, then looked around as he felt his skin crawling as if someone else was watching him. The woman officer, whose name happened to be Sarah Haytcryme, was at her desk grinning evily at the boy cuffed to the bench next to a regular offender, when she felt a shiver run through her spine, and looked up with a slight growl, but didn't see anyone she didn't recognize. Ah, here was the preliminary judge. She greeted the judge, offering him a cushy seat next to her desk. "So, what are the charges and where's the supect?" He asked in a bored voice, his eyes hooded. "Killing bugs, and about one hundred days without brushing his teeth." Sarah answered, waving a few fingers to have a policeman pull Dravius up be the scruff of his neck and set him down heavily next to the judge. Sarah seemed to realize what she just said and shook her head, muttering under breath, "Weeping flowers and neglecting to clean his room," She tried several times to repeat the correct chrages, and her face became redder and redder, and her frustration showing as Dravius tried to stifle a laugh with cuffed hands, the judge lookinga s if he felt this was a waste of time. "I think I'm done here." He said angrily, standing without another word, and ignoring Sarah's protests abour dirty socka and milking cows. Dravius took a long tool out of his pocket and asked the judge in black, "Am I free to go?" At the nod, Dravius stuck the tool in his cuffs and unhooked them, dropping them on the woman's desk with a quiet, " Sorry, Miss, but I don't think I'm leaving the circus because of you," Heading outside, Dravius stopped at the door and said, "Raph, could I see you now? I'd like to thank something I'd like to see."
"Never bring that horrid drink here again." "It tastes of blue, not the river-dwelling reptile, as I had thought."

((LOL. Made me giggle.)) Crossing his arms loosely over his chest, Raphael leant lightly against the wall just to the side of the entrance door to the police station, his eyes scouring the room and it's inhabitants. Really now. Stuck in a law enforcers building when on vacation because of some woman's personal vendetta. Figured, really, what with the direction this last week had been taking. He yawned, raising a hand and using the back of it to cover his mouth; Forcing himself to a stop mid-way when he saw the arrival of the preliminary judge. Excellent. Time to see if this little intervention of his would work. If not, well... Yama's words we're foremost in his thoughts, and he frowned slightly. He really did not want to take that particular route, and he had a nagging hunch that Yama was likely to keep to her word. That was likely to bring up more issues, and probably some pretty serious ones too. The Circus did not need to deal with anything else at this moment in time. Pushing himself away from the wall, Raphael watched in silence as the judge addressed Sarah, not bothering to conceal his rather amused smile at the officers words. Yep. Dravius was going to get put away for that, such a criminal he was turning out to be. A danger to bugs everywhere, poor things. Laughing quietly, the Circus Ring-Master watched the rest of Sarah's futile attempt to get her words right, grinning openly when the judge had finally had enough. Following Dravius out of the building, the Ring-Master stretched his arms above his head, pausing when the Co-Master spoke. Smiling, the blonde dropped the illusion, allowing his arms to fall and sliding his hands into his pockets. "Try looking behind you," He laughed, glancing over his shoulder at the door they just left through, before going to stand next to Dravius. "And no need, you'd do the same for me, I'm sure. Perhaps not quite that way, but all the same," He hit Dravius lightly on the shoulder with another quiet laugh, looking off down the street with an amused face. "Besides, watching that woman make a fool of herself was thanks enough. Come on, let's get back," He said, turning back to Dravius with a grin, before starting to walk the way he had come; Heading to where Julian, Yama and Zinc currently resided. "No doubt the Circus members on the beach are waiting on tenterhooks for your valiant return,"

[[Zinc's thoughts on the matter: "that was completely pointless. didn't even stay in prison long enough to... meh. help me get Yama into this dress." Sarah Hates Crime! Sure do get a lot of Sarah's.]] "You know, I hear that too much. Oh woe is me, a past like his. Yama could do that. Really. She could rip off someones head, and then say "oh but my dad made me do it. I wouldn't have done it if I was never born!" bite off someones ear "the wendigo made me do it! waahhh, don't you understand my HORRIBLE PAST and SUFFERING?"! Or jeez, maybe they could stop being horrible at hiding evidence. You know who had to clean up that Break mess? Moi! He was gonna leave him in the middle of the street!" Zinc made a motion as if he was going to spread his hands, and made a few more moping proclamations, but Sh'Yama shoved her fist into his ribs and he doubled over with a gasp before he could continue. And she didn't even say anything to explain herself, but then, that wasn't that necessary. Sh'Yama grabbed the bag Zinc was holding before it crumpled to the ground, and then returned to standing silently.
Whining, Zinc rubbed his chest. "Well, I can name TWO I actually care about. I mean, let the rest of the losers do what they want. Since Dravius brings so much to the circus. With his freaking emo violin playing and his attraction to giant she-males in skirts." One one one, Zinc repeated in his head. One more time. He'd shove Spider headfirst into a sack and haul him out of this place if it came to it. He had a feeling it wouldn't be that long. Hell, maybe just a half an hour, if they were lucky.
- - -
Spider shook his head at Maya, lips shut tight. He made a promise to himself and he wasn't gonna break it. At least, not in full view of other circus members. What could he say to help Kioko feel better? He didn't know how she felt, or what her life was like. None of them did. And somehow, Maya's apology made it worse. Why did she have to apologize? Nothing was her fault! She was in the same boat as everyone else!
He moved Disera off of his lap very carefully. He was sure Kioko wouldn't mind Disera being moved over to her lap. Standing without comment, Spider up and waked away. He wanted to go home. He missed Xetem and Xerah. Nothing bad ever really happened there. It was always the same. No one knew to talk to... but no feelings hurt either. And he didn't have to worry about ever doing anything, except staying out of the way.
Spider shoved the door to his van open and stepped inside, and immediately stuck himself to the ceiling. Navigating in their van was a bit of a task, considering the growing number of webs hanging off of the ceiling. But, Zinc was rarely in the van anyway, and Spider liked it webby, because webby was homey.
- - - "Speak of the Devil and he is sure to appear." Sh'Yama remarked, staring down the street. "That didn't take long. Has it even been ten minutes?" She asked.

Julian had been, yet again, watching pas.sing towns-folk with little interest, only shifting his attention to Zinc. Honestly, the guy was unbelievable. He really did love to complain, or maybe he just liked hearing himself speak. Yeah, that sounded more like him. He listened without bothering to retort to the bogeymans tirade over Dravius's past and lack of bothering to clean up the dead. The Sword Master was pretty certain, from what he'd heard, Dravius had been in no fit state to clean up after himself. He rolled his eyes, again, not bothering to respond. He really did not want to spend the rest of the day listening to this guy complain... Again. Watching silently, Julian barely reacted to Sh'Yama's sudden punching practice, and actually smiled slightly before turning his back to the two of them. He didn't bother to listen to the rest of Zinc's complaints. He did, however, look over his shoulder at Yama's words, raising an eyebrow as Raphael came to a stop beside the three of them. Well, that certainly didn't take long at all, did it?... "I wasn't expecting such a short wait," He murmered quietly, causing Raphael to look at him. "What?... Oh," The Ring-Master rubbed the back of his neck with a hand. "Yeah... Turns out judges don't have a lot of patience for kids who don't clean their rooms..." He shrugged, chuckling quietly. Julian looked at him for a moment, then shrugged. "Alright. I'm off back to the Circus... I think I've had enough of this town for a day," He delibrately left out the annoying Zinc part, before turning on his heel and walking away without a backward glance. Raphael watched him go, blinking slightly, then dropped his arm, looking between Zinc and Yama. With a slight sigh, he glanced over at Dravius. "Alright. Let's get back... Right now I should probably say something about the rest of this vacation going without a hitch... Only I won't, becuase so far my judgement has proven wrong," He shrugged, then inclined his head to Yama and Zinc slightly. "We can hope, I suppose," He added with an unamused smile, before following after Julian looking somewhat irritated. Yep. He was a getting a headache.

"See you later baby-cakes~!" Zinc crooned, waving after Julian. Sh'Yama took a moment to make a gagging noise and vowed to shave Zinc's head. By decapitating him. "Hope is for the weak." Sh'Yama declared, in response to Raphael. She didn't really think what she said was needed for the situation, but it'd been awhile since she'd said that line. And a bit of brooding seriousness was needed to counterbalance Zinc.
"That was weak, Wendy." Zinc chirped, and Sh'Yama threw another punch at him but this time he stepped out of the way, grinning. "Whatever. I am tired and wish to go back to sleep. If you know what's good for you, you'll stay out of trouble." This could have been said to Zinc or Dravius, but seemed to be directed at the bubblegum haired annoy-o-tron. "Been awhile since breakfast." Yama continued, before trooping off after Raphael and Julian.
"What, me, trouble? I hate stepping in that." Zinc purred, rolling his eyes. With a flick of his hair Zinc hefted the dress around and folded it in his arms. "How was jail, beefcake?" This was directed at Dravius, and an eyebrow shot up as he asked it. "Probably were there for what... fifteen minutes? Cheap. I was in there for three days once cuz of labor day weekend or some crap. Sure, I could have "escaped", easy-peasy, but it's the principle of the thing. I don't know how you buffoons manage to get out of the muck so easy. I feel cheated, somehow. Maybe a bit more mental scarring would do you good?"
Zinc didn't really believe this, but, despite his love and caring for innocent children, an a.ssortment of other people, Spider, and certain psychopaths, he couldn't quite feel anything other than contempt for Mr. No-Pain. So he fully supported more mental scarring. But, he did make allowances for other white-haired idiots and their stupid behavior, so why not let it slide for once? Zinc wasn't entirely sure. But when you've been around as long as he has... certain things just get sooooo irritating. "Feeeh, anyway. What are your thoughts on forcing cannibalistic she-ghouls into pretty dresses?"

Kioko tried blinking away the moisture in her eyes at Maya's reas.surance, before finally giving up and rubbing the tears away with her sleeve. "O-oh. Okay." She managed to reply shakily. Her minor panic had began to recede slightly when she heard the blonde teen's next words. "Personal?" the white haired teen went back to gnawing at her lip. She couldn't imagine anyone having a reason to hold a grudge against the Circus Co-Master, even after seeing him lose control last night. "You're not selfish," Kioko murmured in response to Maya's revelation, feeling herself beginning to blush. The pyro finally let go of her lip when Nylat forced her to lift her head and look at the hybrid. "I guess you're right," Kioko agreed weakly. "It just seems horrible to worry about myself when someone else is in trouble." She shook her head slightly, wrapping her arms around the butterfly's waist at her sighing. The pyro buried her head in Maya's shoulder before continueing. "It's okay. I'd rather be here, with all of you and the problems we're having, than anywhere else." She looked up when she felt Spider place Disera in her lap and watched him walk away. "Spider?" Kioko asked softly, wondering what had happened to cause him to leave so suddenly. She looked around at the others confused. "What's wrong? Did I do something to make him leave?" --------------------------- Not expecting the sudden move, it took Disera a moment to readjust after being sat down in Kioko's lap. "Huh? What was that about?" Watching Spider walk away without a word made her slightly nervous. "Hey. Magician." She called out to Selvai where he was standing not far away. "Yes?" He responded, eyes on the van door where Spider had shut himself in. "Someone should go check on him. He might need someone to talk to." "Spider might simply want to be left alone for a bit. I think we should respect him and let him have some time to himself." "You also thought we shouldn't interfere when Yama was chasing him around like a maniac last night," the shifter pointed out. "And besides, I'm worried about him." Selvai sighed, realizing he couldn't win. "Very well." The magician left the group, walking over to Spider's van and knocking on the door. "Spider? Is something wrong?"
