Nylat flicked her tail, contemplating for a moment in the silence that followed Maya's response. After a minute or two of preperation...No. If she was to, she'd have to immedeatly. She glanced up at her friend.
"I'm giving you two options. One: Let me accompany you. Leaving the Circus is one thing. Not having a destination is a dangerous one. Or, there's two: I'll have to sit on you until I can convince you to stay. And I'm not one you want sitting on you."
She smiled slightly, before giving a start as Selvai suddenly appeared in front of them, nearly biting him in shock, but not holding back a growl.
"Don't do that to me!"

((Ny is too tired and sore to type more. One leg is sore, but we didn't do anything in gym, and the other is sore because one of my friends kicked me in the knee. T.T I'm so accident prone.))

EDIT:

Kanec was debating on going back to sleep when he noticed Nylat and Maya, as well as Selvai, all near the edge of the Circus. Skeptical, he slipped down from his van, flaring his wings for balance, before striding purposefully over to Dravius's van. Knocking on the door a few times, he called in.
"Hey, Dravius, I have a feeling you might want to be out here....I think Maya may be trying to leave..."

Kioko fidgeted on the bed as Dravius dug supplies out of his closet, looking around at the interior of the co-master's van.  She scooted forward to allow the white haired boy to tend to her ankle, wincing at the coldness of the ice pack.  "I'm sorry you have to keep tending to me," she mumbled.   "And.. I'm still really sorry about waht I said,"  Kioko continued, slightly louder.  "What I said was really mean, and you didn't deserve it."

Her eyes widened as Dravius pulled off his shirt, and she looked away hastily, face going red.  "U-um,"  She stuttered, fiddling with the hem of her cloak.  Kioko cleared her throat before she spoke again.  "M-mister Dravius?  Is it a-alright if I ask you... How do you really f-feel about Maya?"  the white haired girl questioned.  "It's j-just that... Do you like her as a f-freind, or s-something e-else?"  She lapsed into silence again after her stuttered question, only looking back up at Dravius when he finished bandaging himself and questioned her about her injury.

"Um, I got upset after Yama said she was leaving,"  Kioko explained quietly.  "S-So, I decided to go for a walk in the woods to calm down.  But, it was getting dark by then,  and I couldn't see this root that was sticking up in the middle of the path and I tripped over it.  And then I walked, well, limped back to the circus grounds.  I was going to go to my van and lay down, but Yama and Spider were in there, so I went to Maya's van."  She gasped, eyes watering as Dravius tightened a new bandage around her ankle.

"I know,"  she muttered in response to Dravius telling her to stay off her foot.  "I didn't mean to keep walking on it, but I needed to just get away from everyone last night.  And I needed to tell you I was sorry about last night."  The girl sighed as she continued.  "I was upset about Yama, and it wasn't right to take it out on you."

Kioko settled back on the bed, checking out the bandage on her ankle.  She was about to ask Dravius if it could be loosened, just a tiny bit, when Kanec's voice came from outside, and she stiffened, eyes widened.  "Not Maya too,"  The girl whimpered as she pushed herself up on her good foot, attempting to hobble to the van door.

-----------------------------

Selvai automatically grasped the blonde haired girl's arms as she stumbled into him to keep her from losing her balance.  He heard Nylat's startled growl and exclamation at his sudden appearence in front of them.  The magician glanced downward and was not surprised to see the hybrid had bared her teeth as though she was about to bite him.  "I apologize, both of you," he told them.  He sighed quietly as Maya flared her wings at him, idly wondering whether anything he did at this point would change her mind about leaving.

He frowned as the girl leaned against him for support, her face turned to the ground.  "Maya?"  he asked softly, trying to get her attention.  She seemed as though she would collapse at any moment.  Looking around at the wooded area they had come to, he hoped to find a large rock or perhaps a stump for the girl to sit on.  The closest thing he saw was a large log, downed by a storm some time ago, and he gently scooped the winged teen up, quickly moving over to the log before setting her back on her feet just long enough to remove his jacket and drape it over the moss covered wood.

Selvai settled the girl down on the log, kneeling in front of her to prevent her from leaving.  "You're about to collapse,"  he told the girl.  "I realize staying here is painful for you, but if you truly intend to leave, you'll need to regain your strength.  Otherwise, I refuse to let you leave the Circus like this.  Even with Nylat accompaning you."

"I WISH THAT PUNCTUATION HAD A PHYSICAL FORM SO I COULD SMOTHER YOU WITH IT."

At the sound of Dravius's somewhat snappy retort, Raphael glanced over his shoulder and raised his eyebrows, his face still otherwise calm. Uh-hu... Short temper. Another obvious sign something was bothering him. He was about to continue questioning the kid when Dravius beat him to it by answering anyway.

Stupid?... Raphael smiled slightly, then looked off across the grounds. "Your not stupid, Dravius. Not completely anyway. You just have this peculiar ability to completely bypas.s things that many other people tend to focus on," He chuckled quietly. "I bet most people alive would wish they could do such a thing,"

The Ring Master had his eyes on the gras.s, and he only looked up at Kioko's voice, his own on the verge of greeting her. His hello, however, was cut short when he caught sight of the girls state. She did not look happy, no surprise, considering what she'd told him last night, and by the looks of it, she was making her ankle worse. Before Raphael had much chance to act, Dravius strolled past him and carried the girl back into his van, just as the illusionist stood up and looked into the open door.

He watched silently as the co-master dealt with the girls injury, before turning his back to the door and leaning against the van, glancing skyward. Deary me. Things were not going well at all, all this negative emotion wasn't good for anyone. He sighed, his thoughts turning to Kioko's apology. She must have been quite firm last night, in order to feel like she needed to correct it. He sighed again, and pushed himself away from the van. He meandered through the Circus grounds, eventually coming to a stop by Julians van, the Sword Masters gaze off down the beach.

"You alright?" Raphael asked in greeting, crossing his arms and focusing his gaze in the same direction as Julian. "Who is that?" He asked, raising an eyebrow at the peculiar man who seemed to be following Spider.

"No clue," Julian replied, yawning once and sitting on the stairs to his own van. "just came outta nowhere," He shrugged. No point getting in a huff over it, people seemed to come out of nowhere often these days. Raphael frowned slightly. "How peculiar,"

~~~
Frowning slightly, and still stood with a portion of her weight against Selvai, Maya answered Nylat in tones that spoke quite clearly of her feelings on that subject. Though in reality, the butterfly barely thought about it. If Maya had, after all, the strength the fly, Nylat would have lost her trail. "Don't bother, Nylat," She murmered. She'd have not been able to follow, and that, currently, was all Maya had wanted. The girls humour was practically non-existant as she looked over her shoulder at the hybrid, the fox's joking banter having no effect on her mood. If anything, it made her more surly. So glad they took this lightly...
She sighed, and turned her face away, not trusting herself to speak. Maya felt guilty enough about last night, let alone adding something else onto that today. She was very tempted to just pull away from Selvai and carry on walking, though she knew she'd have to get her balance right first.
The butterfly-winged blonde paid little attention to the magician when he spoke her name, and had almost put together the will to move when Selvai actually picked her up. Again, it was stress-born irritation that cause the girls face to darken slightly. "Let me go," She mumbled, struggling somewhat in the magicians arms. Unfortunately, the magician had picked her up in such a way that her wings had become pinned, and as such, she was unable to use them in any way to loosen the mans grip. Not that it would have done much good. She had little energy as it was.
When he finally set her down, Maya settled for glaring at him, scantly listening to his words and closing her eyes momentarily. As soon as she was certain he'd finished, she slipped off the back of the log and fell heavily against a nearby tree, both wings half-flared to compensate for lack of balance. Maya knew without having to be told that she probably wouldn't get all that far. Not that she cared.
Glancing off longingly in the direction she had been heading, she pushed herself away from the tree, using her injured arm to actually support her weight. The pain went almost ignored, despite the fact it was actually rather prominent.
"Leave me alone," She murmered, golden hair covering her eyes as she glanced earthward. No freaking way was anyone stopping her here. She couldn't afford to go back, she didn't want to trap herself in her own van. She didn't want to end up as Dravius had 8 months ago. No... She needed out.
Dropping her hand, and ignoring the throbbing pain that now resided in her wrist, walked off, her face set and her eyes stubborn. Her pace had increased marginally, but then again, so had her lack of balance.
"Naw, s'okay, Kioko. It's my job," Dravius smiled, although his grin was a bit strained. "Hey, you get used to less than loving comments when you're in my line of work," Pulling his legs up and crossing them on top of each other. Tilting his head at Kiko's disjointed question, he couldn't help but laugh quietly into his arm. "Hey, you don't have to get so nervous. I've known her for so long, almost as long as I've known Raph and Ny. I don't think of her as just a friend, and I honestly do think that I do have...romantic feelings for her, but I kind of find them hard to express." The co-master had to stop every sentence or so to think a bit, putting his hands on his ankles. "Oh. Alright. I really can't critisize anyone for doing things like that."
Taking a needle and thread, Dravius took a few moments to sew shut the gash in his lip, saying while he did, "Do you want me to give you a set of crutches?" Stopping short, the co-master jerked his head up with a sharp and harsh, "What?" Standing up quickly, Dravius bit the thread and slipped the rest into his pocket, growling, "I don't have nearly enough hands for this."
Scooping Kioko on his way out of the van, Dravius broke into a smooth run, skidding to a stop and joining Selvai and Nylat, only slightly out of breath. "No, you're not leaving." He said flatly, leveling his gaze at the girl. "I....don't want you to leave," He added, his eyes watering, before he blinked hard. The bl
ink broke the barrier between watering and crying, at tears streamed down his face silently, a few tracing down his chin and landing on Kioo's clothes.
"Please stay," Dravius's voice broke on the last word, using his shoulder to scrub at his left eye, which was the only one with tears running out of it. His injured eye was flat and clouded as usual. It was an odd effect, one side of the boy's face unbelievably sad, the other almos indifferent.
"Never bring that horrid drink here again."
"If you think you can intimidate me, you're up the river and missing two paddles, my dear. And ew, never get that close to me again. Cooties. Nasty stuff." Zinc brushed his shirt off and gave her a withering glance, arching a brow. It was amazing how little something could be to send him into very grim spirits. Sh'Yama must take after him. The only thing ugly around here is your face, he thought, but chose no to say anything. Belittling insults were not as fun as watching people suffer due to means they brought upon themselves.
Besides, it took less effort. "And why ever would I want to hurt Maya's feelings? Besides the obvious VIP's, she's the only person around here I truly, honestly care about." Honesty and truthfulness may vary. "Because she's a stupid little girl who for some completely dumb reason... ugh, the "L" word... loved... the dumbest human being on this planet. And maybe the dumbest for a few other planets. I've never been to any, but I'm sure they're there. And they would be baffled at Dravius's pigheadedness. I've been around for years. I have seen some of the stupidest things the human brain could ever come up with ever. And I am baffled at how dumb he is."
He listened to Disera's suggestion with a wince. The Dravius one was so out of the question. No fooling her there. Who could like that slimy weirdo besides Maya anyway? "Whoa, what, Julie? I already called dibs. At least I did right now. Dibs on Julian. Yep. And oh gawd, like she wants to be aroud someone that boring with his stupid leather jacket and taciturn "I could care less" attitude for more than five minutes. I think she'd rather shoot herself in the face.
"And "chance"... I... you probably didn't talk to Sh'Yama much, did you? The most likely "chance" she'd want to have with Julian is a chance to fight him to the death with a sack of potatoes to see who was stronger. No, no, Sh'Yama needs someone nice, soft, and bubbly. Like me. Just less of a jerk. She doesn't like me very much for some reason."
Zinc rubbed his forehead. He liked Disera better when she was small, glowy, and attached to Selvai. Mostly because she was cuter when small and glowy. "And sure thing. I'd feel bad if you didn't pin it all on me."
 Evan peeked into Spider's van, giving the webs a slightly unsure look. They were nice to look at. But that was a bit too much. "How extravagant." He said, smiling at Spider. "But I think I'll wait out here. Change your clothes, before you get a rash or something. Those wet pants can not be comfortable."
Spider grunted at him, and went inside. Evan was fluent in grunting, however, so nodded in understanding and went to walk around the nearby vans. All of them had that little personal touch to them, and Evan examined them with delight. He wondered when it started to get busy, obviously not in the morning... well it looked like there were a few up and about. He watched with concern as two albinos ran off. Was someone injured?  That was a bit in the direction were he had seen Miss Sh'Yama. How many people were leaving today?
He considered, for just a second, going after them to see if he could be of service. But that icky feeling, that feeling that it wasn't his business and he wouldn't be able to do anything anyway, welled up inside him. Instead of going after them, he turned back to Spider's van, frowning. When Spider emerged, Evangelos smiled, was about to say something, and then stopped. Finally, he said, "Spider, a few of your friends (I'm sure everyone is your friend, you're such a nice boy) just ran off over there. Do you think something's wrong? Maybe we should go see."
At first Spider looked concerned and even looked in the direction Evan gestured at. Then his face grew dark and solemn. "I don't care." He said, flatly, and put his rocks in his pocket. Evan looked a little shocked. "D-d... don't care? But what if it's something—"
"I doubt it matters if I went or stayed here. It never does. Do you want a tour or not?" Spider crossed his arms in front of him and stared at the ground. It wasn't right to be so mean. But Spider realized that he didn't care today. He was a bit disappointed Evangelos had taken him away from the shark that would surely have eaten him.
"I... oh but... tour... tour later? It's not going anywhere. Boris, what ever is the matter?"
"I hate everything today."
"Oh. ...I see."
[[also you know i kinda feel bad how Zinc hates Dravius so much. o-o and is mean to everyone.]]
Nylat stayed silent, letting her frustration boil off, before flicking her tail and limping after Maya, only to be soon joined by Dravius. The hybrid barely noticed the Co-Master, rather, she unsheathed her claws, growling a bit.
"So help me, Maya. I'm serious about keeping you here."
Kanec landed on the hybrid's back, having shifted into a hawk, and now stretched a wing, ready to fly and track if need be. Nylat barely noticed him either. Tears had clouded her vision, and took all she had to keep her voice level as she muttered to herself, not caring if anyone heard, even though it was frequently broken by a growl or hiss as she talked in cat and dog occasionally. Among the English, she frequented the words 'insane' and 'dangerous', and the phrase 'get herself killed.'
((Bio's update... READ. o-o Be happy, Ny... Be happy. Enter Zyano~ o-o))
The sea.
Ugh. Such an over-powering scent. So much so that Zyano was on the verge of turning and heading back the way he had come. The city, afterall, had not nearly been as salty smelling as this place, and it was making his nose itch. Sneezing once, the wolf sat on his haunches, seriously contemplating his last idea and trying to deduce whether or not he should head back... He eventually gace up on the thought. He had, after all, left the city for a reason, and to be honest, he'd much rather put up with this stinging scent than have the town chase him... Well, it was to be expected, he supposed. It wasn't everyday you came across a wolf that stood at 3 and a half foot tall, and one with a human mind, at that.
He stood up, sighing quietly, then continued forward, padding on the sand and glaring at the nearby ocean. He really did not like that smell. At that moment, a small movement caught the hybrids amber gaze, and he immediately focused on said movement.
Human. Atleast... He thought it was human... It certainly looked like one, besides the fact it was covered in scales. What?... Flicking his ears forward, Zyano watched in silence as the strange green being made its way back to what looked like vans. Vans... On a beach?... Ohh, this was too weird to simply pas.s by...
Zyano moved forward, keeping out of sight as best as something his size could, before sitting in the shadow of one of the vans, watching people mill around. There was one thing he was certain of, and that was the fact no-one here seemed to be entirely... Well, human. At least, not in the sense of being "normal"... They we're weird, in the very same way that he was "weird" when compared to other wolves. How strange. He hadn't realised humans also had oddities walking among them.
Turning away, the sandy hybrid settled himself a good distance away from the vans, and placing himself by a tree, kept his eyes on the bustle of activity. How weird... If he guessed correctly, which he as,sumed he had, this was a moving settlement, obviosly, what with the vans, though he also accurately guessed it was a Circus. Well, it wasn't hard to guess. Zyano had seen many Circus's, and had even been a part of one once. Besides, some of the images on these vans clearly depicted the occupants role in the Circus, like the one that showed the boy controlling what seemed to be shadow.
Flopping into a laying position, Zyano rested his head on his paws, his eyes both curious and careful, as he continued his silent surviellance of the grounds with a faint, but obvious, interest.
~~~

"Stupid..." Maya grumped, pausing momentarily to try and get herself balanced enough to continue. She was, of course, referring to Selvai. Shehad been doing just fine until he picked her up, that completely threw her off her stride, and now... Now... She was seriously starting to doubt her own intentions. What?... No... She couldn't do that, that was the one thing she couldn't afford to do. The smallest doubt was likely to make her turn tail and head back to her van.

The butterfly reached out her good hand, resting it on the bark of the closest tree, and glaring at the floor as though it had somehow done her a great injustice. Her injured wrist was still somewhat painful, though the throb had died off a little. Sighing quietly, Maya set her eyes forward, and had been about to continue with her initial aim, when a very very familiar voice caused her to literally freeze in her tracks. No, no no. No. Dravius, the idiot.

Sh inhaled slowly, dropping her arm from where it sat on the tree, and, bracing herself, glanced over her shoulder with a slight frown. Dravius, as she had expected, was there with Selvai and Nylat, as well as Kioko and Kanec... No. No. This was why she should have waited. She should not have left her van in such a hurry. She should have been smart enough to do it when no-one was around... She was stupid to think she'd get out of here without anyone noticing, what with how slow she had been going anyway... Though of course, the damn magicians intervention had not helped in the slightest.

Despite her peculiar numbness to those around her, she noted with a strange sort of sadness the look in Nylat's eyes, as well as the ex
pression on the distraught Co-Masters face.  Maya's mind refused to let her think fast enough in this situation, and all she could do in response was silently shake her head, taking a couple of steps away from the group. Her own ex
pression was torn, her mind urging to both leave the place for a while, and run back towards other members, Dravius in particular. Dravius and his pleading words. That white haired idiot was not making this easy.

Maya's brows we're furrowed in concern, though it didn't stop her glancing off with an ex
pression of undisguised longing. As much as she wanted out, her body seemed suddenly unable to process her minds command, and she looked back at the growing group with a despairing face. Whatever energy she had left seemed to almost deplete itself through thought, and the slender blonde dropped her cloak somewhat unceremoniously before sitting beside it, crossing her legs and covering her face with her hands. She had no energy, and if she had, she probably would have followed Dravius's example and cried. So torn. She felt so torn.

Well, that was it. She couldn't get out now, any of them could stop her quite easily if she chose to move, though that wasn't looking likely. Right now, the girl deduced she could probably sleep right where she sat. Though she wouldn't. She simply simply settled for staring at the earth in front of her legs, refusing to look back in the others' direction. If there was one thing she couldn't stand, it was seeing them looking like that. Seeing Nylat with a sad face, and Dravius... How could she hurt him like that after everything he'd been through already?...

The girl whimpered quietly, bringing her knees to her chin and folding her arms over her head. Well. This was it. She wasn't getting out of this today, that was certain. Though quite suddenly, she was unsure of whether or not that was what she wanted... Her thoughtsimmediately laced with consequences of leaving the Circus. She wouldn't have seen any of them. Her family. She felt almost ashamed she'd been so willing to walk away from them, from Raphael, from Nylat, from Dravius...

"I'm sorry," She whispered, her voice strained with effort and anguish. "I'm so sorry,"

((Bio update for me as well!))

A door creaked open in the van closest to the beach, and single, bright orange eye peered out, followed by a long, lanky body, clad in odd clothing whose patterns mimiced the bones sliding underneath. A face with long eyelashes, and eyes the colour of a bright sunset rested on top of a long, graceful neck. The face was both feminine and masculine, making it hard to determine the gender of the figure. Although the eyes were wide, they still managed to retain a harsh, almost glaring look. Hair the shade of ripe cherries framed the slightly tanned skin of the slight person. The unusual thing about this human lay in the smooth horns curling from either side of the dark, chocolate brown dog ears that twisted to catch each and every sound that floated through the camp.

The girl's name was Anur, and as she gently closed her van door behind her, she crept slowly around it and shreiked loudly at the sight of what seemed to be a....cheetah? A dog? Anur was too busy screaming and nearly running into Evan to ponder it any further. "Yeek!" She squeaked, holding her gloved hands clasped in front of her flat chest. Her eyes grew even wider as she saw Spider, shaking slightly. "Uu-hm, I'm sorry sir," She said, nearly hyperventiilating as she bowed deeply.

Anur's voice carried a strong egyptian accent, and as she drew back up, her ears were flat aginst her head as she looked at Spider. "Were you guys the ones I heard talking about a tour? I-I can h-help," She stuttered, fiddling with the end of her moth eaten black scarf. "Ah!" Her face lit up as she noticed a spider dangling from the end of the cloth. "Look, look!" She exclaimed, holding the small spider in front of Evan's face. "She followed me! Her name's Near. She's poisonous!" Letting the spider crawl onto her hand, Anur shook her head and sniffed, saying, "Oh, sorry. I got too excited," Letting the insect crawl back into the mas.s.ive folds of cloth covering her body, she tilted her head and grinned, "So, how about that tour?"

---------------

Sniffing deeply, Dravius scubbed at his good eye with his shoulder more, blinking hard. He coughed hard, delicately setting Kioko down on a log. "Please don't get up," He said softly, turning and bending down, sliding his frame down to sit beside her. As he was sitting with his bad eye to her, it was almost impossible to see that he was still crying silently, pulling Maya's cloak onto his lap, rubbing the thick cloth between his hands, bending his head, and watching the tears drip gently and steadily onto the sleeves of his shirt, not bothering to wipe them away as he got to his knees, looking at Maya through one eye of tear-framed lashes, gently taking her hands away from her head and pulling her chin up.

"We can't cry, Maya," Dravius murmered, bringing his cold skin to Maya's, and pressing his rough lips to her smooth. The only warmth on the co-master's skin was the strem of sadness tracing down his left cheek. The boy pulled away and stood, picking the white-haired Kioko back up and saying softly, "I don't want you to cry. If you have to leave, I'll try not to."

Turning, Dravius sniffled and said to Kioko, "Sorry. Do you want to go back? I want her to make her own decision." With a sad smile, Dravius arrived at the beach once again, setting the other down on a tall rock, making sure her foot wasn't touching the ground. Using the heel of his hand to rub at his eye, looking at Kioko as he sat on the sand. "Man, I'm stupid," He said shakily.

[[Female Alyx. o-o much cuter.

also realized i didn't tell all of you to go reread my bios. uh. well. Evan's is there.]]

What was that screaming? "Oh, gracious!" He said, a bit startled by Anur's sudden and screaming appearance. "No, no... it's quite alright my dear." Was it a boy or a girl? It sounded like a girl? Not that it mattered, they were all dears to Evangelos. "No need for such a bow, dear, I'm really not worth it." Evan said, cheerfully. How peculiarly nervous. Reminded him of Boris a little bit. But then, from what he'd seen of him (years and years ago) the boy only acted like that when threatened with a boot, or rolled up newspaper. He had been quite the calm creature in any other circumstances.

"Tour? What impressive hearing." Evangelos could see her ears, and admired them fondly. He'd never wish for something so peculiar. But he could admire. "Help would be marvelous, the more the merrier. I'm actually surprised how freely strangers can walk around in here! If i wasn't with Boris, I expected to get accosted or some such thing." Evan hummed and then his eyes crossed as he looked at the spider dangling in front of his face.

He flashed a brilliant smile, "Isn't she precious!" And he might have been talking about Anur, or Near, or both of them. He nudged Spider "Oh, I'm sure you two get along wonderfully! It really was a good thing you came here, wasn't it?" Evan seemed to have forgotten Spider's declaration of hatred for all things, and missed the irritated look that got shot in his direction.

Firstly, Spider wondered why Anur was being all shakey and starey. It made him uncomfortable. Was he scary or something? Yeah right, he wished. Spider was also viciously jealous of Anur. Why did that spider like her so much? There had been quite a shortage of spiders around him, and that probably contributed to his disappointment with this place.

He had a sneaking suspicion Yama had something to do with it. Maybe the cannibal aspect applied to spiders, too, and the thought of her eating all of his little eight eyed friends sent him in throws of sorrow. This added with his already sour attitude only dampened his spirits even more, and he mumbled something and got very interested in his shoelaces.

"Well... err, yes, how about that tour! I'd love a tour!" Evangelos leaned a bit towards Anur, whispering "Boris's a bit grumpy today." Before nodding and straightening his vest. Spider head him. Evan wasn't that good at that whispering thing. Spider only glowered at his feet and wished Zinc was around to throw glitter at everyone or something.

Nylat purred slightly, more to cover her heart leaping in joy than anything. She started her way up the nearest tree, so concentrated on finding good clawholds that she completely missed everything between Maya's plopping onto the ground and Dravius's departure. Well, unless spoken of course. She didn't concentrate that much. As she found a sturdy enough branch, she laid down, watching Maya carefully.
"No need to be sorry...."
After a moment's pause, she sighed, before speaking again.
"If you want me to leave, just let me know. I won't mind."

Tara was debating on actually heading out into the water. She was currently situated on a rock a little ways from the vans, watching the waters. She wanted a good sight in mind, so she would at least have a good image of the beach set in her mind. She was looking around, perhaps for something to distract her and keep her from the water longer, when a slight movement caught her attention, moving toward the vans. Seeing this as an opportunity to stray from the water, she followed at a short distance, soon figuring out that this creature was not ordinary. It wasn't often to find one of such size. Even Nylat was smaller, and Tara had thought her mas.sive.

When the creature stopped, so did Tara, leaning against a van, studying the bandages on her arms for a moment before speaking.
"If you don't mind my asking, what exactly are you? I've studied plenty of books, but never seen an animal quite like you in any of them. I'd know if I did."

Zyano had continued his silent watch of these peculiar Circus grounds when a high pitched noise caused him to flinch visibly. Flicking an ear in that general direction, the sand furred hybrid turned his head just in time to watch, what he could only as.sume, was one of the Circus members fleeing rather dramatically from his presence. A red haired female with horns. Well... So much for being inconspicious... Perhaps he'd stayed a little too close to the vans, hm?

Standing up, he stretched languidly, and went to walk back the way he had come when another voice, also female, spoke, presumabely to him. He paused in the mid of turning his lithe form, glancing over his shoulder. He listened to her question in silence, before facing her and sitting on his haunches, his amber gaze curious.

"Do you normally just talk to wolves like that?" He asked, tilting his huge head slightly at the girls words. Strange. Perhaps she thought all animals could talk?... Then again, maybe she just as.sumed, with him being as unusual as he was.

"And I'm a number of things, if your curious to know," Here he allowed his tongue to loll from his jaws in a wolfish grin. "Are you a member of this settlement?" He asked, retorting with his own question, glancing off towards the sea. He eventually brought his gaze back to the girl, and his vision fell on her arms. He didn't bother to add another question, however, and simply allowed himself to fall back onto his stomach. Well... If he needed to get out of there in any hurry, he'd manage it, so there seemed to be little rush.

~~~
"Looks like the intruder has stirred someone elses interest too,"
Raphael, who had been watching the ocean with a strangely abstracted face, glanced over his shoulder when he heard Julian speak. "Hm?" He murmered, his eyes on the dark-clothed Sword Master, who stood with his back to his van.
"Anur. Seems to have taken an interest in the guy following Spider," The dark male replied, his gaze focused away from the beach and back towards the vans. Raphael followed his gaze, standing up from where he had sat on the gras.s and going to stand next to Julian. "Ohh. So she has. She seems to have been keeping to herself lately,"
"I noticed,"
"Hm. I'll be back... I'm going to go see who this person is," Raphael murmered, trotting off towards Spiders van, stretching as he went. The Sword Master watched him leave, then sighed quietly and returned his gaze to the beach, eyes narrowing at the appearance of a somewhat distraught Dravius. Oh?
~~~

It took less than a minute to reach his desired destination, and as soon as he did, Raphael waved in Anur's direction. "There you are," He said with a smile, his gray eyes focusing on the guy who accompanied Spider. "And who is this?" He asked, crossing his arms and looking at the man with a genuinely curious gaze.

He certainyl seemed comfortable enough. Perhaps he knew Spider already?... Well, he must have, to be acting the way he was. Either that, or he was very, very comfortable around people he didnt know. Peculiar. Raphael nodded once at him. "Welcome to the Majikus," He said, gesturing lightly at the surrounding vans. "My name is Raphael, and this here is Anur, if she hasn't already introduced herself. The Circus itself is actually taking a bit of a vacation at the moment... Is there anything we can do for you?"

~~~
If she'd had her way, Maya would have most likely remained where she sat for probably the rest of the day. Now that she's completely given up the notion of getting out, she suddenly felt like she no longer had the energy to even stand. She would have been content to just remain where she was, and maybe even sleep there if her body had allowed it. Though she figured it probably wouldn't be so easy.
Sighing, the butterfly kept her gaze resoloutely on the ground in front of her, still too tired to even release a single tear, though that was probably compensated by the mere sadness on her features. She had, of course, been too withdrawn into her own numb state to really pay much attention to anyone around her, and even Dravius's movements went almost unnoticed.
Almost, because despite how far gone she seemed to be, she did notice when the Co-Master physically moved her arms and head, and a momentary flash of confusion made its way onto her features. They couldn't cry?... He was crying, the idiot. She barely had time to frown at the thought before she felt his cool lips against her own, here eyes widening in momentary confusion though her face still retaining its anguised phase. It took a good moment for Maya's mind to actually process anything, and by the time she had, Dravius had already started on his way back.
She was caught by a momentary impulse to follow him, and eventually put together enough will to stand up, making sure to grasp her cloak as she did so. She only moved her gaze from the Co-Masters leaving direction when Nylat spoke.
"No... Nylat..." She said quietly, her voice weak. "It's alright..." With an unsteady step, the girl moved forward, heading back towards the vans and the way she had come. She knew, knew, that the intervention of the other members would have stopped her... She knew she wouldn't have left, not that she'd have made it in the state she was in, anyway. But what had hurt most was seeing Nylat and Dravius the way they had been, Dravius in particular. She would have been hurting so many if she;d left.
Pausing, the blonde girl glanced over her shoulder to look at Selvai, her ex
pression still strangely sad. "Thank you," She murmered, carrying on her way. It took a good while longer for her to reach the beach than Dravius, considering her lack of energy or anything remotely resembling will. She threw her cloak at her van as she pas.sed, and then made her slow, somewhat unsteady way to the beach.
She stopped some way away from the tall teen, running her good hand over the orange bandage on her injured wrist. It took her a good few minutes to get the will to talk. "... Dravius?" She murmered, her voice no louder than it had been previously. "I... Uh..." She bit her lip, glancing both ways up the beach before looking back at him, managing to actually look ashamed of herself, her wings burning slightly with the onset of sunset. "I-I didnt... I mean... Uh... I'm, sorry. I don't want... To upset you... Or... Or anyone else. I..." Ugh. Why was this so hard?... It shouldnt be this hard to apologise for being a nuisance.
She inhaled somewhat shakily, almost struggling to keep herself standing. She felt far more tired than she had earlier. "I'm just... I'm tired, Dravius, and scared..." She added lamely, as though that explained everything. It didn't, of course, but it was the best she could come up with.
Chewing on her lip still, probably harder than she realised, she stared at the sand for a moment or two, before looking back at Dravius. It was pretty clear that had the girl had the energy, she probably would have been crying, though her face rremained dry. Her eyes, however, we're very close to despairing. It was taking a lot of effort to simply stand this close to the vans again. She almost wanted to run back the way she had come.
Shifting uncertainly, the butterfly winged teen followed Dravius's gesture the day before and held out her slender arms, her ex
pression anguished and apologetic, the tears finally making a very late appearance, her form trembling slightly with strain. "I'm sorry, Dravius," She repeated, her voice quieter than before. "... Forgive me,"
Evan looked up at Raphael. Another one! He wondered what his specialty was. Evan looked at Spider, as if for a little more confirmation on who this person was. Spider looked up momentarily. "Raphael's the Circus Master." he grumped, and averted his gaze before someone told him everything was going to be fine and it was all rainbows and unicorns, or that it wasn't always this bad. ". . ." Jadedness must be contagious.
"Oh! I see. Oops, I'm trespa.ssing." Evan said, with a slight smile. "A pleasure Raphael." He said, and nodded at Anur as well. "And you as well, what an interesting name." Arms crossed wasn't very approachable, but Evan held his hand out to Raphael anyway. He hadn't given anyone his full name yet had he? Might as well while he had a small crowd, he was so proud of it.
"Evangelos Galahad Blodwen-Daudet, sir. Couldn't quite get myself to throw away the "Blodwen" surname completely, even though they—well it doesn't matter. I'm a... distant relative of Boris's. Did you say vacation?" He paused and rubbed his chin. Had he heard something about that? Evan couldn't remember. There might have been a sign, but that was ages ago.
"Ah. Well. That's a pity. And no, I don't think there's anything you could do for me. I came to visit Boris, and dear Yama." Evan's eyebrow rose momentarily. "I expected to find them in a happier state of mind." he added, as a bit of a mumble to himself. "What was I saying? Oh, yes, I've always found the Circus to be a most fascinating place. Truly, I wonder why I've never been to one yet in my life. So we were just going to have a look around."
Evan fiddled with his pocket watch chain, almost looking unsure. Raphael wouldn't be the kind of Circus Master to tell him to get out, would he? That would be too bad.
 - - -
Spider ignored Evan and chose to get his rocks out of his pocket and look at them again. Ignoring him was hard. Why was he so gosh darn cheerful? The world was awful and horrible, there was nothing to be happy about. Spider remembered being cheerful, once. But that would surely never ever happen again. Spider poked his rocks with a long nailed finger and then shoved them back into his jeans pocket.
Slouching impressively, he finally looked back up at everyone. He frowned at them though, and made it obvious he was not happy and never would be. Ever. This wasn't mature either. But no one else was mature. So he didn't see why he had to be.
Anur's smile grew even wider as she listened to Evan's words. "Oh, I'm sorry," She looked concerned, and touched her scarf nervously. Upon closer inspection, the girl's scarf seemed to be expanding and contracting, almost is if it was breathing. A triangular head suddenly emerged from under the dark cloth, the scales covering the flesh the same colour, although with a deep-rooted shine to it. The mouth opened, and a deep hiss emerged as the snake extended it's body out from Anur's neck, and fixed it's lidless gaze on Spider, weaving back and forth. The snake drew closer, Anur's scarf becoming flatter and flatter as the snake uncoiled, using her shoulder and part of her amr to get itself across and onto Spider. The animal wrapped itself loosley around the boy's neck, the darkly gleaming scales stadning out brilliantly against the boy's white skin.
"Oh, seem's he's taken a liking to you, Spider. Fettrow doesn't usually come out by himself," Anur remarked, turning back to Evan, and saying quietly, "Well, seeing as oyu haven't done anything yet, you wouldn't be accosted. But you are being closely monitored. Tapp and Spyne are right there," She murmered, pointing to the man's shadow. "They're twins. They can merge with any shadow, and have an appearence similar to shadows when they stand alone. Dravius's van is over there near the front, next to...Raphael!" This last word was yelped as Anur noticed the Ringmaster behind her. "Hello, Raphael," She smiled, bowing slightly.
"This is our Ringmaster, Raphael," Anur gestured to the man next to her, who happened to be exactly the same height as the red-haired speaker. "Oh, no! I forgot to introduce myself......" Anur looked distressed at this fact, shaking her head. "I am Anur Malle, as.sistant book keeper and press control of the Circus Majikus," She said, and the snake lifted it's head and hissed loudly, nodding vigorously before setting his trangular skull on top of Spider's white hair, it's tongue flicking in and out rapidly.
-----------------------
Dravius had been sitting, looking at the sea water lap at the sand calmly, digging his barefeet into the sand, and he looked towards Maya as the golden-haired girl walked slowly and unsteadily up. The Co-Master felt the need to support her, but refrained as she spent a few minutes apparently searching for words. The girl's stuttering words were almost indearing to Dravius, as he watched her struggle with words.
Studying Mayanna's face, and watching her chewing at her lip, he stood and smiled softly, saying, "Don't chew your lip. You're turning into me," The boy watched her hold out her arms, and his smile grew wide, as he wrapped his long arms around the slight girl, lifting her up on her toes as he hugged Mayanna. "There's nothing to be sorry for," Dravius breathed in the girl's gras.sy scent, as he set his chin on top of her head, murmering softly, "I love you.  I have for...for as long as I can remember. I'm sorry for not telling you sooner. I was kind of scared you wouldn't feel the same,"
Dravius's skin seemed to be heating up to a regular temperature, loosing it's usual iciness as he embraced Maya further, sliding his arms underneath her tall wings, and sighing heavily. "You need to sleep. Come on. My van's closer. Go on. I have to get Kioko back to camp," The boy pulled away, standing straight and picking Kioko up gently. "I'll be back soon. You gotta get some rest, May."
"Never bring that horrid drink here again."
"It tastes of blue, not the river-dwelling reptile, as I had thought."
((Ny will post after all.))
Nylat flicked her tail as Maya left, and walked forward slowly on the branch, before sliding herself off, landing steadily before realizing that her paw still hurt. Cursing under her breath, in more than English, she made her way back to the Circus, not minding her limp. She'd gotten used to it. Didn't matter to her if anyone noticed anymore. Right now, she just wanted to flop over somewhere and relax. Flicking her ears back, she padded through the maze of vans, to her own, making her way to the roof, nearly falling a few times. AS she flopped down on the top of the van, she heaved a sigh, closing her eyes.
~~
Kanec, having flown off when Nylat had started climbing, landed on the roof of his van, shifting back into a human and resuming his previous activity of watching the Circus bustle about.
((Fail for Kanec, but...eh.))
~~
Tara smiled a bit at the first question asked of her, listening to the rest before answering at once.
"Let's see. Well, for one, you're larger than Nylat. And she's rather large. First clue that you weren't normal. Other than her, I don't talk to wolves. The second clue that you weren't normal is a sane, normal wolf wouldn't come this close to humans."
She rubbed the bandages on her right arm again, more of a habit than anything. She wasn't used to it not paining her. Meeting the creature's amber eyes, she continued.
"And actually, I'd love to know what you are. I'll bet I won't forget it, either."
She grinned, and crossed her arms, nodding.
"And yes, I'm a member. Tara Jade Lemak, at your service."
Momentarily distracted, she glanced past the wolf as Nylat flopped onto her van with a rather large thud. Tara's face softened with a bit of worry, talking to herself.
"Hm. Nylat doesn't seem too happy today."
"Pfft.  What intimidate?  I'm just saying, we should keep this to ourselves."  Disera told the bogeyman.  She met his withering glance with a severe pout.  "Cooties?  It thought that was something little kids made up to tease each other."  The shifter tilted her head to the side, studying Zinc.  "You're not, like... Secretly a little boy in a man's body, are you?  Because that would be seriously strange," she told him.  "And that's coming from a blue skinned shape shifter with antlers."
"Why does anybody want to hurt anyone?  I certainly can't figure it out.  Although, I haven't had as much time to figure out as you.  I'm only a little over a year old, after all.  Still a baby."  She rolled her head from side to side, wincing at the stiffness.  "Anyway.  Man, these antlers are heavy.  And people wonder why I don't take this form more often."  The shifter rubbed at her neck with both hands.  "But.  I do believe you're right about Dravius' dumbness.  Can't say I think Maya is dumb, though.  Just in need of a new love interest.  Like Selvai."  She nodded to herself confidantly.
"Nice, soft, and bubbly?  Plus not a jerk like you?  You realize, the only person around here who fits that deion is little Kioko.  Not that I don't think those two wouldn't be cute together.  The giant Wendigo and the midget albino firebug.  Definite case of opposites attracting.  But I'm pretty sure the age difference might make it illegal.  I'd have to ask Selvai about it, tho."  Disera's tails twitched back and forth for a moment before she continued.  "I don't know why Yama wouldn't like you.  I mean, you're just so cute,"  Disera smirked unpleasently at him as he rubbed his forehead.
"Like, the way you just called dibs on Julian.  That was so precious.  In fact, it was so heart-warming, I think I need to give you a giant, clingy hug.  For like, an hour or three."  Disera stepped forward, quickly wrapping her arms around Zinc, pinning his arms to his sides and repeating the process with her tails around his knees.  She smiled evilly up at the pink haired man as she tightened her grip.  "And don't worry.  I'm pretty sure I don't have cooties."
----------------------
"You're welcome," Selvai replied softly, slightly shaken at Maya's sad ex
pression as she followed Dravius back to the Circus grounds.  The magician walked behind the blonde girl as far as the vans, staying behind as she walked toward the beach where Dravius and Kioko sat.  He briefly considered walking with Maya- her pace was still rather unsteady as she walked- but mentally shook his head as he remembered the kiss between her and Dravius.  The butterfly obviously no longer needed his help.
The sorceror sighed, turning to go back to his and Disera's van, when he spotted the teen girl who spent most of her time with her laptop.  The girl- Tara, he believed- seemed to be conversing with an overly large wolf.  Not recognizing the animal, Selvai altered his course, coming to stand close to the two of them.  "Hello, Tara," he smiled, before turning his attention to the animal.  "I don't believe I've met you before?  I am Selvai Mayoso."
------------------------------
She'd been picked up and sat down so many times in the past day, it was starting to get irritating.  Kioko sighed as she was once again lifted, and this time carried to the beach and placed upon a large rock.
"You're not stupid," she murmured quietly, although she wasn't sure if Dravius heard her.  The pyro spotted Maya approaching them, and began to slide off her perch to meet the butterfly before she remembered Dravius' warning about her ankle.  The white haired girl stopped suddenly, her legs dangling awkwardly from the rock.  "Maya?  Are you okay now?"  She asked softly.
She felt her face turn red as Dravius and Maya embraced, and hurriedly looked away from the two.  "Um..."  Kioko intently studied the orange-tinted clouds drifting over the sunset intently until the pair seperated.  "Are you two going to be okay now?"  she asked quietly as Dravius picked her up.
