((Ugh.  Took me forever to finish this.  You guys had better appreciate it D:))

Disera wrinkled her nose at Zinc's reply, her lips pinched into a thin line.  "If your tongue ever gets that close to me again, it's going to be seperated from your body.  Slowly."  She held one hand out, palm up, and flicked her long, sharp nails at him in warning.  "And that goes for any other pranks you might have in mind.  Even if I did start this (which I didn't), that doesn't mean you can just play some stupid prank on me whenever you feel like it."  She rolled her eyes at his hand wave and dismissal of Yama.  "What was it you said?  'There are loads of people at this circus.  I'm sure we'll find one.'  And as for her leaving, I'm sure it's probably not permanent.  She might show up again.  Someday.  In the future."

"Mm.  No idea where either of them are.  I'll pas.s on the message that you want to snuggle with him if I spot Julian around, though.  I bet he'll be estatic to hear it."  Disera spotted Kioko hobbling towards them on a pair of crutches and waved to her.  "Hey, firebug.  I see someone finally got you some crutches.  Where have you been, anyway?"

-----------------------

Kioko waited until Dravius left her van to roll off her bed, then grabbed the pair of crutches he had left behind.  It took a few tries to get used to them- they were too tall at first and she had to stop and adjust them for someone of her height- but the pyro managed to get the hang of it after a few minutes.

She was practicing walking with the crutches when she saw the small bottle of green liquid Dravius had left behind and was struck with a moment of indecision.  It was late, she was injured and tired, and she should go to bed.  It was the sensible thing to do.  But as tired as she was, Kioko couldn't bring herself to sleep just yet.  Not until she made sure everything was alright.

"I'll only be a few minutes," Kioko told herself as she opened the van door.  "I'll check on everything, then come back and go to sleep."  She hobbled out on her crutches, and swung the door closed behind her, slowly making her way across the circus grounds.  The pyro spotted Disera and Zinc speaking not far away and manuvered her way toward them, nodding at Disera when the shifter spoke to her.   "Uh, yeah.  I went to talk to Dravius- he's the one who gave me the crutches- but then Kanec said that Maya was leaving, and I tried to go after her.  So Dravius carried me to where she was and he was pretty upset about her wanting to leave the circus.  I think seeing Maya about to leave everything behind shook some sense into him, because he even kissed her."  The white haired girl blushed as she recounted this part of the story, but continued anyway.  "And then he said he wanted Maya to make her own decision, so we came back and waited on the beach.  Maya came to find us after a little bit, and they talked.  Well, it was more than just talking, but I think things might be finally okay between them."  She smiled slightly before finishing.   "And then Dravius took me back to my van and brought me a pair of crutches to use.  I think Maya and Dravius are talking in his van now."

Disera had been nodding along with the girls story, glad she seemed to be in a better mood than the night before, until Kioko reached the part about Dravius kissing Maya.  The shifter felt herself start to scowl and had to make an effort to keep a pleasent ex
pression on her face.  "Kioko?  What do you mean by, 'it was more than just talking'?"  Disera asked once the girl finished.  She tried to keep the tone of her voice light, although it took a bit of effort.

The pyro blushed again as she responded.  "Um.  They hugged for awhile.  That's all.  But!"  She leaned in as she continued, smiling happily.  "I asked Dravius how he felt about Maya when we were in his van, and he admitted that he likes her.  In a romantic way."  Kioko was practically glowing with excitement.  "Isn't that great?  I think Maya might start to feel better now."

"Yes.  That's... great.  Really, really... great."  Disera felt her wings twitching slightly.  "Say, Kioko.  You didn't happen to see Selvai around anywhere during all this, did you?"

"Selvai?  Um, I think he was with Maya and Nylat before we showed up.  I don't know where he went to after that, though."

"Ah.  Well.  How about we find him?  See you later, Zinc."  The shifter waved backwards at the pink haired man with out looking and headed off in a random direction.

"Uh, okay.  Bye, Zinc."  Kioko told him, following Disera as quickly as she could on her crutches.  The shifter slowed her pace when she noticed Kioko struggling to keep up.  "Sorry about that," she muttered, shortening her stride so the young girl wouldn't have to tire herself out.

"It's okay.  I'm still getting used to using these things."

Disera nodded absently, focused on finding Selvai.  "He should be close by- There he is!  Oy, Selvai!"  The shifter waved at the magician, who was standing beside Tara and Nylat.  It wasn't until they drew closer to the group that she noticed the hybrid's tense state.  "Did we miss something?"  Disera asked Nylat.  "You look a bit worked up."

Selvai shook his head, waving one hand dismissively.  "Another hybrid appeared.  He didn't appear to be hostile, so the three of us were conversing with him.  You just missed him, actually."  He looked the blue skinned woman over carefully.  "Is something bothering you, Disera?  You seem a bit anxious yourself."

It was Disera's turn to shake her head.  "I'll talk to you about it later."  The implied when we're alone hung in the air.  Selvai simply shrugged, looking around her to the white haired pyro.  "Hello, Kioko.  Is your ankle feeling any better?"

"Yes, a little."  She moved from behind Disera to speak to the others gathered there.  "Hello Nylat, Tara."

Dravius was still working his shoulders when Maya spoke, and he twiste dhis head to focus on her, supressing a yawn as he said, "Yeah, I was pretty mad. And you didn't do anything. I decided that whenver I wanted to hit something, instead of breaking my hand, I'd carve out the name of someone I care about. They're all up on the ceiling," The Co-master waved a hand at the distant, scarred roof. He coughed once again, feeling a rush of deep tingling flood his throat. The boy drew his shaggy bangs back from his face, clipping them behind one ear, thereby cutting a bright swath across his face, partially covering his bad eye. Dravius's van was dark and cold, reminescent of a cave, if not for the constant hanging stink of blood, with a tinge of illness coiling through the air. The Co-Master himself always carried some of the scent with him, even when he'd been away from his van for a while.

"Are you sure?" Dravius replied to Maya's one word answer, inhaling deeply through his nose, his thin brows furrowed. "Woah...careful..." He muttered, stepping forewards as Maynna pushed herself to her feet, bending easily to her gentle nudges, although looking deeply concerned. His long, tense shoulders tightened further at her first touch, the muscles seizing up momentarily, but after a second relaxed fully, and he leaned the other shoulder lightly against the wall, closing his eyes. He relaxed more, his lean body sagging slighty. Dravius seemed to be dozing on his feet, then with a start he straightened up again, shaking his head. "I have to sleep, May," He murmered, his eyelids drooping as he crossed to the chair Maya had been occupying, folding the blanket quickly and setting it on the floor. The youth awned hugely, coughed once, then leaned his head against the side of the chair and drifted into sleep, his breathing deepening, and most of his bangs freeing themselves from the clip and drifting into his face.

--------------

Anur turned sharply as Evan cut his words short, her scarf flicking around her straight hips. "Oh, my. My goodness, I've said the wrong thing again." She said, her voice unsteady. The woman  pressed her fists against her colloarbone, seeming on the verge of bursting into tears. Sniffling, she rubbed her eyes with the edge of her scarf, watching Evan's face closely. "Now I've scared you, and if I've scared you, you're not going to want to meet Dravius," She said miserably, continuing on her walk, sadly naming the mebers and vans they pas.sed, until they reached the beach.

"Please, Mr. Evangelos. My job is to make sure that we don't get shut down. It sometimes involves covering things up," Anur ran her fingers over the band of softly glowing crysals around her waist, her ears flat aginst her red hair. "By the way, if you are a Blodwin, I suppose that you can do something unusual. If I mayinquire as to what that is, I would be most grateful," Anur shifted from foot to foot, pulling her hood up over her head. She seemed unduly nervous,her hands twitching every few seconds. She wore square toed boots, that had sunk deep into the thin la
yer of sand on the beach, and she reached into a bag around her choulder and pulled out a rather large canine skull.

Anur played with the jaw on the skull, listening to the slight creak as the jaw, held together by wires, opened and closed. Humming a slight tune, Anur seemed to not be paying any attention to Evan anymore, muttering numbers by five under her breath. "Five, ten, fifteen, twenty..."

"Never bring that horrid drink here again."

"It tastes of blue, not the river-dwelling reptile, as I had thought."

Raphael had to excercise a little effort to prevent himself sighing again. Anur, he should have guessed really. She was usually edgy, and that, of course, usually led to her mixing her words. Like now, for example. Instead, he settled for closing his eyes for a moment, before eventually focusing his gaze on where they were walking. In any other situation, he probably would have left the young woman to it, but right now. No. That probably wasn't the smartest choice. He really didn't need her saying anything else. He smiled at the womans nervous nature. "No need to be so uptight, Anur," He murmered, exhaling through his nose.

The last thing the Circus needed was more suspicion around the place after Break, Dravius's detainment and everything else. The Ring Master found himself idly wondering whether or not Maya had emerged from her van yet. Maybe he'd need to drag her out after all.

Frowning slightly, he glanced over his shoulder to look at Spider and Evan, before looking back at Anur when she spoke, listening in silence. He couldn't help but smile slightly at her sudden proclomation of saying something wrong, then raised an eyebrow as she continued. "Oh yeah, Dravius is really scary," He murmered under his breath, his slight smile still present. With a sigh, Raphael looked off towards the vans, noting the little group that consisted of Kioko, Selvai, Disera and Nylat, a faint curiousity on face.

Again, he dismissed the idea of going to see what was up, and promptly folded his arms over his chest, turning back to Anur. "I wouldn't say covering," He said. "More like diverting the attention. Some people seem to have a severe grudge against what this Circus stands for, and will use pretty muhc any excuse to try and bring us down," He inhaled slowly, then watched the red-haired woman play with her canine skull. "There are, naturally, those who oppose the whole point of our existance, surely you understand that," He raised an eyebrow at Evan. "I'm plenty sure there are people who aren't all too fond of your family, your not exactly mainstream,"

He exhaled, then adopted a pained ex
pression. "This job gets harder every year," He murmered, so quietly that no-one was likely to hear. Oh well.

~~~
Having been left to his own devices when Raphael chose to investigate the newcomer, Julian had spent most of after time watching the members on the beach. They had it easy, when compared to what many of the older members, Raphael and Dravius in particular, had to go through. There was always a small element of worrying among those members. Not surprising, really.
Glancing sideways, Julian caught sight of Zyano and the group that surrounded him, and turned his head to watch them without much outward interest, though he was, in all honesty, curious. This was the first time the Sword-master had seen anything even remotely resembling Nylat, and it was pretty obvious that that creature was similar.
He watched them until the huge wolf left, then shrugged and returned his gaze to the beach. The sunset had pretty much pas.sed by this point, and the night had made itself known. The spreading darkness had prompted many Circus members to return to the fields where the vans resided, sat around in clusters chatting merrily. It was strange really, how despite the turmoil the older members seemed to struggle through, everyone else seemed perfectly content. That was how Raphael preferred it, he supposed.
Julian sat himself on the steps that led to the door of his van, placing a hand under his chin and closing his eyes. Well. Maybe everything after this point would be fine, hm?
~~~

"Pretty sure," Maya murmered in response to Dravius's question, ignoring the fact that her carelessness with her wrist earlier had probably irritated it a little. She glanced up to look at the scarred ceiling of Dravius's van, noting the names and strange similarity between the dwelling and its owner. Saying that, such links were often seen between vans and their owners.

She was quickly distracted by the dozing Dravius's sudden movement, and pulled her hands swiftly away from him as he walked off across the van, settling himself on the floor beside the chair she had been in previously. The butterfly watched him for a few moments in silence, taken by the sudden innocence that surrounded the tall youth. He always seemed content in sleep. Probably the only time he was ever truly free of any worry or concern. She couldn't help but smile slightly, a genuine little smile as she looked at him, before making her own steady way back to the chair, being sure to keep one hand firmly on the wall.

The butterfly paused just in front of the sleeping Co-Master, kneeling in front of him and placing a hand on his cheek, the one that still harboured the slight cut. Her slim fingers merely brushed Dravius's skin, mimicking what could easily have pas.sed as a skimming touch from the wings of a butterfly. She brought her hand to trace the males jaw with her fingers. Her hand eventually came to rest on the side of his neck, as she leaned forward to lightly press her lips to his forehead. Pulling away, Maya settled herself blatantly next to the Co-Master, glancing over her shoulder at the scratched name in the wall before lightly leaning against the taller being, and wrapping an arm over his torso. She stared at a few of the lyrics painted onto the wall, before she eventually closed her own eyes. Well. She could try to sleep, she supposed, though whether or not she'd be successful, she'd see.

Nylat flicked ears back as Zyano left, and growled a bit, glaring after him before returning her attention to the then and now. Some people could be so annoying. She already knew that was true about the wolf. As Disera and Kioko joined them, she flopped herself onto the ground, sighing. After just a second, she got to her feet, and left, muttering something about going to fish, with a muttered 'hello' to the shifter and pyro as she limped away. She walked straight into the water, only really paying attention when she got deep enough to require swimming. She swam in place for a second, before sighing, then inhaling deeply and holding her breath as she dove, flipping up rocks and causing a bit of havoc to disrupt fish. Finally, she flushed some out. She caught a large one between her paws, and swam to the surface, breaking up through the surface of the water and taking a huge breath. She lifted the fish out of the water, admiring it, before taking it in her jaws and returning to shore.

~~

Tara watched Nylat carefully. What was her problem? She didn't seem all that enthusiastic today. Hm.. Glancing up when Disera approached, she raised a hand in greeting, listening to her and Selvai's short exchange before speaking.
"I don't remember seeing you take that form before, Disera."

((Braindead))

~~

Kanec, having grown bored, had shifted into his pegasus self, and finally managed to work out the slight kink he'd created, and now had black feathered wings, which were folded to his sides. He trotted toward the beach, glancing sideways sharply as he caught a glimpse of what appeared to be a large wolf. He sighed, shaking his head, before joining a growing group of Disera, Tara, Selvai, and Kioko, flicking an ear.
"So, how is everyone today?"

Dravius sighed in his sleep as he dimly felt Maya's mouth pressed against his forehead, the corner of his mouth twitching, as he shifted and muttered something about anesthesia. The co-master's eyes squeezed shut, his brows furrowing as he marmered a few words, mostly about padlocks and medical supplies. He seemed to be deep in sleep, until the girl nestled herself next to him, opening his good eye halfway and muttering blearily, " 'ere, thi'l help wi' your slee'," (Here, this'll help with your sleep) and reached into a pocket boy the hem of his left pant leg. He pulled out a thin, tall bottle filled with the same green liquid that he had left with Kioko, and gently pressed it into Mayanna's hand, his eyes slightly unfocused and his usually rich voice thick with sleep.

Drowsily, the white-haired boy gently nuzzed his cheek on Maya's hair, before resuming his position against the side of the chair. Letting out a breath with a long, "Mmmmmmm," Draviusfell facefirst back into a deep sleep. Every few breaths, the steady rise and fall of his chest was interupted by a few quiet coughs that made his thin torso shudder for a few seconds at a time. He also seemed to be muttering about cast plaster and acrylic paints. Suddenly, all of the musles in Dravius's body coiled, even his hands tightening into fists, taking one deep breath that dissolved into a stream of heavy coughing. A short, "Nnnn,"punctuated a downwards shift, and the Co-Master pressed himself tighter against Maya, sliding his chest under her. Angling his head to the side, the boy rested his head lightly on the girl against him's head.

------------

It seemed to him that whenever he slept, Dravius was caught inside his own head, which wasn't a feeling he particularly liked. It gave him far too much time to dwell on things. To most people, sleeping only felt like a few seconds, but for him, it always seemed that eight hours were eight hours. It didn't help that inside his head was reminescent of a rocky tunnel, and was incredibly boring. And hot.

Inside his own head, while he was muttering about gauze and finger splints, he was also repeatedly kicking the inside of his own skull, and growling at the water dripping annoyingly from the ceiling, making him sneeze. More than a fwe four letter words were mixed in with any actual sentences. Sighing, Dravius decided to just do what he usually did, and sit against the wall of the tunnel, sighing, and waiting until it was time to wake up.

"Never bring that horrid drink here again."

Disera had no idea what she was dealing with. But how could he be surprised? She was just a stupid infant. Zinc thought about detaching his tongue from his face and giving her a good scare, but eh, it wouldn't be worth it. "Yeah, maybe add in a detail about licking. That would certainly be amusing."
Limping and crutches? How out of the loop he was. Maybe he could pay attention this time and find out what was going on. So he did listen. But it only resulted in an irritated ex
pression.

Ugh why bother keeping up with the drama that goes on in this place. Seriously. What was keeping him around here anyway? At this point, Spider'd love to leave. Darn you Julian, and your beautiful leather coat! He looked at Disera and Kioko as they said goodbye. "Uh, yeah, sure. Whatever." he shoved his thumbs into his belt loops and stomped off in his own direction, a sour pout on his face.

- - -

"Probably not," Evan said. Most certainly not. This Dravius was a horrible and dangerous individual that could most likely peel his skin from his bones and wear it as a hat. Scared was almost not a word that was defined enough to express his mortal terror. But he was being a bit theatrical. He wasn't all that scared. Well, he was scared in an offhand way. He was sure he should be scared, anyway. He certainly convinced himself he should be.

After all, there was no possible way anyone would be able to sneak up on him and murder him. He was just a bit on edge. It'd been awhile since he'd been around so many delinquents. In fact, the only band of ruffians he'd ever been acquainted with were Frail's gang. And there were only five of them.

Suffice it to say, not getting out much was very common in the Blodwen family. "And someone who didn't value human life could probably agree with your morals, but sadly..." he twisted his chain in his grip and hummed under his breath. Diverting attention? Oh, please. As if he was going to convince him they weren't all murdering psychopaths! Of course people would have a grudge, you murder innocent people. Honestly, the logic of kids today. He never quite liked how those bounty hunters ran around shooting up the bad guys, but at least they got things done.

"And just Evan, please. Or Galahad. I've always fancied being a knight. Never quite had the brains or brawn for that, though." he laughed, a bit of a tittery, high pitched nervous laugh, and glanced at Spider.

The boy was obviously from his side of the family. Great great great nephew, perhaps? He'd heard about that business with Xyclde. Carly was probably one life he didn't value as highly as a poor homeless man, if Evan was pestered about it. "Unusual? My dear, coming from such a family I find the unusual the normal and the normal the unusual. Saying that I am absolutely ordinary." And If I tell you my secret you might cripple me and murder me in my sleep. He gave Raphael a look. It was actually a look he didn't use often. It was a look of severe yet still calmly concealed anger.

He stood to his full height, a womping 5'5" and gave Raphael a level stare. "Mainstream is not the reason my family is unloved, Mr. Raphael. And dear, they've been around far longer than any of today's," He waved a hand bitterly around. "Modern conception of things. Perhaps if you weren't so wrapped up in your estranged community, you would know you weren't alone in your affairs. You think you are all knowing about the trials of the strange and unloved? Boy, I was handling miscreants that could do the unnatural long before your grandfather was born. Don't get fresh with me about understanding. Murder is a completely different subject, if I may be so bold, Mr. Circus Master, whether you are "normal" or not. Hence my fear, and large disappointment with your circus at present. Understanding has nothing to do with it."

Evan irritably tugged on his cravat and turned towards the nearest van. He couldn't see how he was surprised. The old families absolutely despised anyone who wasn't part of the family, and their way of doing things was probably the reason why things were so off down here. Spider crossed his arms. "You know I didn't know about any murder. Except that one. Yama leaving was stupid. Like anyone would care if she went crazy and murdered someone. You let Dravius get away with it."

"Now now, Spider, no need to be all cranky. I mean I'm cranky. But booo, they want happy people here." Zinc slapped Spider on the shoulder and looked around. "Though I kinda agree. But Sh'Yama cleans up after herself... well, except when she wants to gloat... seriously do I have a story to tell you about that. Anyway." He gave Evan a shrewd look. "Jeez, another tour? We need to put up a sign. "No Vacancy. Go away we're full"."

"Oh. Mary." Evan said, giving Zinc a glance over and rubbing his head. Murderers and... those. No wonder Xerah had been throwing such a tantrum.

Disera muttered a quiet reply to Nylat as she headed away from them, toward the water.  The shifter noticed the rather obvious limp as she walked, and wondered for a minute if the hybrid would be alright by herself.  She watched closely as the hybrid dived underwater, relaxing as she emerged with a large fish in her mouth.  The shifter turned back to Tara.

"Hmm?  Oh, this is my real form,"  Disera explained to the girl.  "I don't usually go around like this, though.  Too hard to hide from "normal" people."  Her eyes flicked over to Selvai for a moment.  "We've tried to avoid drawing too much attention to ourselves, before now."

She noticed Kanec heading toward them and waved at the other shifter.  "Selvai's his usual self, Kioko's up and walking around on a sprained ankle when she should be resting," That earned her a pouty glare from the pyro, but she ignored it as she continued.  "And I'm okay, I suppose.  Well, Zinc licked me, but that's another issue.  How have you been Kanec?  Haven't had much of a chance to speak to you lately."

"Zinc, licked you?" Selvai repeated faintly.  He shook his head when Disera began to speak.  "No, I'm sure I do not want to know the details."  He nodded to Kanec before continuing.  "I am fine Kanec, thank you for asking.  However, it is getting late, and we should sleep.  Especially you, Kioko.  You need to rest your ankle in order for it to heal."

The white haired girl bit down on her lip nervously.  "I know, but- I just want to do one more thing before I go to bed.  I swear, I'll get off my feet soon."

"It's okay, firebug.  Go do whatever it is you need to do."  Disera shifted into a raven, fluttering to Selvai's shoulder and perching there.  "Well, goodnight Kioko, Tara, Kanec.  See you guys later."  Selvai waved one final time before heading towards the circus grounds and their van.

Kioko watched them leave, then turned to the other two circus members still with her.  "Well, um.  Goodnight you guys.  I'm going to go find someone before I sleep."  She waved to the two of them before hobbling away.  She headed the same direction as Selvai and Disera, but instead of heading toward her own van, the pyro walked along the campground, searching for a familar face.

She finally spotted the white haired boy, along with Raphael, Zinc, and two others she didn't recognize.  Kioko slowly made her way over to them, smiling nervously at the man and woman she didn't know.  "Ah, hello,"  she quietly greeted them, before turning her attention to Spider.  "Um, Spider?  How are you feeling?"

---------------------

Disera hopped off Selvai's shoulder once he opened the van door, fluttering across the room to land on one of the beds.  "Alright," Selvai stated once the door was shut.  "You wanted to speak to me?"

"I spoke to Kioko before we came to find you,"  she started.  "Appearently, Maya and Dravius are all kissy-face now?"

Selvai raised an eyebrow at that.  "Kissy-face?"  He shook his head.  "Yes, Dravius did kiss Maya when he discovered she was attempting to leave.  It seemed to be more about him not wanting her to leave than romance at the moment, though."

"Ah."  Disera fluffed up her feathers thoughtfully.  "Why was Maya trying to leave, though?  I thought you were going to talk to her?"

"I attempted to.  When I asked if she wanted to speak, she declined.  And then she left her van and began to leave the circus grounds."  He sighed heavily.  "Maya is not well.  This issue with Dravius has caused her to neglect her health.  The girl could barely keep herself upright while she was walking."

"You didn't let her leave like that, right?"

"Of course not.  I stopped her and attempted to convince her to rest before leaving.  She refused, of course, and began to leave again.  Before I could stop her, Dravius and Kioko appeared.  I'm sure you already know what happened after that."

"Yeah,"  Disera paced back and forth on the comforter.  "Why did you let her take off again after the first time?  You should have, like, forced her to stay and listen to you instead of walking off."

"I highly doubt that would have worked, Disera."

"You should have tried anyway," the shifter retorted annoyedly.

Selvai looked at the summoned creature thoughtfully.  "Why is this getting you so worked up, Disera?"

"Uh,"  The blue creature hopped to the head of the bed, perching on the headboard there.  She needed to calm herself down before the magician began to suspect something, she realized.  "I just think Maya should be happy.  And things have been awfully rough for her lately.  Poor butterfly.  Anyway, I'm tired.  Goodnight, magician."  She tucked her head under one transparent blue wing before he could question her further.

"Hmm."  He said nothing more on the matter though, simply turning out the light and muttering "Goodnight."

Head under her wing, Disera sighed.  Her plans had just gotten complicated, it seemed.

((Okey dokey. Are you guys all okay with a time-skip in my next post?... Just 'til morning. <3

And LOL. Disera and Ny.))

Maya had been perfectly content to simply lay where she was, despite whether or not she'd actually be able to get any decent sleep out of it. She lay with her head leant lightly against the Co-Masters chest, listening in a distracted manner to the steady rythm of his heart, only punctuated by his constant mumbling and slight coughing.

At the sound of Dravius's weary voice, Maya opened her eyes and glanced upwards, consciously preventing herself from giggling at him as he leant to retrieve something from a pocket. The girl blinked for a moment when he revealed the small glas.s vial, before taking it from him and simply looking at it. Well, if it helped, she supposed... Using her good hand, she attempted to open the small bottle, leaning back onto Dravius when he nuzzled into her hair. It didn't take too long to open the small container, and she hesitated a moment before sipping it, stopping it again afterwards and leaning over to drop the half-empty bottle on the chair.

With a quiet sigh, the butterfly-winged teen shifted slightly, pressing herself lightly against Dravius's drowsy form. Whatever she had just taken proved to be a pretty quick worker, though not exactly quick enough to prevent Maya noticing the tightening of the Co-Masters tall form, her own body almost tensing in response as a rather violent cough followed. She watched him worriedly, a small frown on her face as she fought the effects of the green liquid, eventually giving in once she deduced Dravius was just fine. Stupid idiot needed to stop getting ill.

She snorted quietly, laying an arm over his stomach again when she felt him shift closer to her, and nuzzled her face into the side of his neck. It took less than a minute for her to lose herself completely in sleep, the first time in a good few days, her constant, deep breathing mimicking that of the seemingly troubled Circus Co-Master.

~~~
"I can honestly tell you this very moment, Evan, that no member of this Circus has ever commited murder. Not by our fault delibrately, and never an innocent," Well. It was true, if it was thought over. Alto had not been a part of the Circus when he had killed the homeless man, and Break... Well, Break deserved it, in Raphael's opinion. Hell. If Dravius hadn't lost it when he did, the Ring-Master would probably have taken the matter into his own hands if he had, at any point, caught sight of that damned street performer. Besides those two, there were no other deaths as.sociated with the Circus.
With a sigh that cleverly concealed the illusionists building agitation, he merely listened to Evan in silence, his cheerful demeanor seeming to become nothing but a mere myth. His gaze wasn't angry, nor harsh, but it was just as level as the one Evan threw at him. "Wrapped up in my estranged community?... Yeah. That pretty much sums it up," He replied, blithley waving a hand and glancing off towards the darkened beach. "I have to be in order to keep in front of things here, such a large community is not easy to keep track of, and one of freaks, no less" He murmered, sighing. Whatever. He really did not see the need to explain himself. Things happened, many of them beyond his control, and all resulting in the same thing. A negative view of the Majikus. Well. It should be expected, really.
Raphael inhaled through his nose, turning his stoney gray eyes back to Evan, his ex
pression tinted with a peculiar apology. He really did not want people to come into the Circus in this way, and this week... That's all it seemed to be. Raphael had never felt so sorry for the recent joiners.
He turned to Anur. "I'll let you handle the rest, I have other things I need to attend to," He smiled slightly, a wan sort of smile, before glancing back at Evan and the others, paying little heed to Zinc's appearance. "I'll leave you to it," He said, rubbing the back of his neck and closing his eyes. "If you all truly think you can't handle another day here, fine. I completely understand. Your free to leave whenever you wish, I'm just sorry for those of you who were involved," he leveled his gaze at Spider here, then shrugged, turned, and walked away, heading in the general direction of his own van.
He'd had enough of trying to explain, partly because he'd done so already, and partly because doing so would do little good anyway. There was only so much convincing one could do, and when it came to the Circus... Well. Doing anything could be a tedious and very complicated business.
[[and everyone leaves and i am no longer in the roleplay. welp. need to find some characters that are okay with drama. D;
also time skip is fine. holy crap though it makes me realize I did absolutely nothing for 12 hours roleplay time.]]
"Gawd I'll never get over what a putz Raphael is. Someone turn on some Good Charlotte and chase him around with a radio. What is he, seventeen?" Zinc asked, watching Raphael leave. "But everyone here is incomptent. To da max. Really, why do I keep getting surprised? This is a serious question. I don't even know anymore."
Everyone ignored him.
Oh, the "but they weren't innocent" excuse. Murderering a murderer is not okay, either! Arrrggghhh their morals were so warped it was making him want to kill people and he was definietly not a murderer. What a horrible excuse. Evan knew murdering. If the boy had half a mind to talk to Sh'Yama or even Boris he'd know the Blodwen family was composed of psychopaths!
He tried to compose himself. Most people didn't like asking about personal things like that. And arguing wouldn't matter. Raphael was obviously fine in letting him a.ssume anything and everything he wanted to about this place. He quickly added the Majikus Circus to a certain catgorey in his inner black list.
"He's the circus master?" Evan asked, a bit incredulous. "Excuse my surprise, but he's still a child himself." He continued. And why wasn't he getting more help? He was not qualified to watch all of these people. You can't not be qualified, know you have too many people, and then use that as an excuse when bad stuff happens. He probably wasn't qualified to watch three normal children, if it were Evan's opinion on it.
"I know right? It's like watching a kinder kid try to run a preschool." Zinc said.
 "Hmph, well, good riddance, I say! None of the other family members care, but upon seeing it for myself... yes, I doubt they'd mind ME watching you. Goodness. You might even learn a thing or two with me as a guardian and I don't know anything. Do you like clocks, Boris? It's quite a noisy place... lots of ticking." Evan rubbed his chin and exhaled nosily.
He didn't remember ever being so irritated in his life. In fact, irritation rarely happened. It was pleasant cheerfulness or extreme sadness, in most cases. Truly a day to be remembered, and hastily forgotten and burned from his memory.
"Seriously. Someone needs to like, make a documentary about incompetence and just film about it here." Zinc added. Evan stared at him. He made a zipping motion over his mouth and turned to Spider and Kioko. "I'm sorry, dear," He said, rubbing his forehead. "I'm a bit distracted. Hello." And what happened to her leg? Goodness gracious, this place! Zinc decided to be quiet and instead started to pout like a baby.
- - -
"Fine! Fine! Because that makes it easier! Your members call this a family, don't make me laugh! A real family doesn't just say, FINE, go ahead and leave! FINE I'm sorry bad stuff has happened. A real family tries to figure out what's wrong and that's why I hate this place so FINE I'm glad I'm privledged to leave!" Spider gesticulated wildly and finally pinned his arms to his side. "Because that's all it is, just a bunch of freaks. No, a collection. Who cares. I don't care. I definietley DON'T CARE." He said, and proceeded to make a serious of growling, whining noises as he pulled on his sweater.
Zinc watched his tantrum with minimal amusement and then bopped him on the head, pointing at Kioko. Spider looked at Kioko. "I'm fine." He said. Finey fine fine, and dandy. He breathed deep and went to stand next to her. Because of all the people here, Kioko wasn't one to be mad at. These people didn't deserve to be blessed with her presence! He looked at the crutches and frowned. "What happened to your leg? Are you okay?" Was it something Dravius did again?
Anur had been looking madly back and forth between Evan and Raphael, clutching the skull to her chest, and generally being bewildered. "Hello," She said weakly, waving a hand at Kioko. Suddenly, her eyes grew even wider as Spider started freaking out, clenching her jaw. "Nuh! Don't leave...." She protested weakly as Raphael strode away, seeming in quite a bad temper. "And yes, Mr. Evan, he's the circus master, and Dravius is second in command. Shall I get him? I think I'll go get him," Anur's sentences grew faster and more desprate as she went on, turning and trotting the few feet to open Dravius's door, poked her head in, and shut the door nearly as quickly.
"Okay, that didn't work. He and Maya are sleeping," Anur said, rocking gently back and forth on her square boots. "Uhm, uhm," the woman's eyes were wide and were watering quite vigourously. "I think I woke him up. I closed the door too hard. Oooh, I can never do anything right," She moaned, crossing her arms to hug herself.
------------
Indeed, the closing door, combined with the loudly creaking hinges of Dravius's door had awoken him, and he moaned softly, lifting a hand to rub his eyes. Lifting himself up, Dravius slid a thick, rather fluffy pillow under Maya's head, and placed a blanket over her, still rubbing his scarred eye. Yawning hugely, until the stitches on his lip, already weak and rushed, popped, he muttered a curse, and opened the door, his brows furrowed deeply. He did look better than he had twenty minutes ago, the shadows under his eyes had disappeared, and although stil drowsy, he seemed a bit more lively. Although not in a good way.
Dravius seemed in a rather bad temper, accomapnied by his heavily bleeding lip, disheveled appearence, and height, he struck a threatening form, as he said blearily, "Anur, what?" Anur squeaked in response, her ears flat to her head. "Ah. Another Blodwin?" He narrowed his good eye at Evan, leaning forewards slightly in the dim light. "Wait, why's Kioko up?" Dravius shook his head and squeezed his eyes shut, brushing his shaggy hair away from his face. "I thought...nevermind," Cracking his neck and spine, the boy added, "Nice to meet you, another-relative-of-Spider. The Blodwin family is certainly wide-spread, isn't it?" Holding out a long-fingered hand, the youth yawned again, rubbing a temple with the other. "Nice to meet you. My name is Dravius Wolfe," Turning his head to cough, Dravius rolled a shoulder, leveling his one good eye at Evan.
"Never bring that horrid drink here again."
"It tastes of blue, not the river-dwelling reptile, as I had thought."
((Dundundun~))
Raphael had made his way swiftly to his own van, entering it and closing the door behind him with a quiet sigh. Uh-hu. It wasn't enough the issues of the last week had cause turmoil, but now, the Blodwens seemed intent on as.suming the worst, not he could blame them, really. No doubt if he was in their position he'd feel exactly the same, and he seriously doubted there was little he could do to rectify that issue. It was probably just best to leave them be.
Yawning, the tall, blonde haired illusionst flopped onto his bed, laying an arm over his face. Well. Best he could do now was continue with what he was doing. Having a vacation. Or trying, at any rate. Yawning again, it was these thoughts that accompanied the male into sleep, leaving him somewhat fitful and restless.
((Pretty lame but eh. Time-skip. o3o))
~~~

Seagull. That's all there seemed to be around here... Well, not unless Zyano chose to go deeper into the surrounded wood. He'd spent most of the night in this wood, not too far from where the Circus was camped, keeping his eyes on the members. It seemed there was always one member awake, and going by the few who had circled the grounds, the Circus was usually always guarded in some off-hand way.

Shifting from where he sat, Zyano dropped the half-eaten gull from his jaws, licking his muzzle and padding away from the carcas.s. He could tell, by the shade of tree leaves, that it was late morning, and he could hear as he approached the talk and laughter of the people out on the beach.

Making his way out of the wood, the hybrid had to sigh as he felt the sun hit him like a hammer. It was going to be hot today, far hotter than yesterday, and he immediately stopped in the shade of a single tree, watching the members on the beach from his vantage point. He still had not lost interest in this place, nor the people in it.

He caught the gaze of a peculiar, yet normal looking man, one dressed entirely in black that returned his gaze with a cool indifference. Exhaling, Zyano pulled his gaze away and turned his vision back to the beach. Eh... He wasn't all that fond of water... Though, if it got any hotter, he may just have to force himself into it.

~~~
Julian, who had been up most of the morning, was stood, predictably, outside his van. What came as more of a surprise, was the fact that the 6'1" male was not actually wearing his jacket, which was smart, considering the heat. All he wore, was his simple black cargo's and a white shirt. It wouldn't have been so bad if there had been even the slightest breeze.
A small flash of colour caught the Sword-Masters sharp gaze, and he glanced sideways to catch site of the hybrid who had been present yesterday, the same one who had been surrounded by Selvai and the others, if he saw right. Quickly losing interest, Julian pulled his gaze away, focusing back towards the beach. He figured the cofortable nature of everyone yesterday meant the wolf wasn't dangerous. Besides, Julian could move fast enough if the wolf decided to try something. For now though, he needn't worry.
 ~~~

Mornings.

They weren't so bad. Or atleast, they weren't usually, but when you'd been essentially drugged the night before... Well. It had its effects. Maya groaned, opening one eye slightly before stuffing her face into the pillow. Even that had proved to take too much energy. She felt like doing nothing, though that may have stemmed from her lack of sleep in the first place. She felt she could quite comfortably just stay here all day.

Groaning again, the butterfly winged teen pulled the covers over her head, the only visible part of her body being a wing that Maya had outstretched at some point. She couldn't remember when, she still felt groggy. Sleeping on the floor of Dravius's van hadn't been too bad... Though she'd probably regret it later when she was aching all over, but again. Right now?... She was just too lazy to do anything. Even complain.

She eventually managed to remove the blankets from her head, yawning slightly as she stared blearily at the wall, before closing her eyes again and grumbling loudly. Whatever. She was going back to sleep. Or she was going to try to, anyway.

((Pfft. Too lazy to do nemore. 8D))
