[[In other news, Evan is now completely bonkers.]]

"Not at all, not at all." Evan was still a bit breathless after Disera's transformation. She was the strangest girl he had ever seen. It was hard not to stare. "Evan." He said, "My name. That is." He frowned and looked down at Spider. A few of the spiders were crawling all over his sneakers, and he hoped they wouldn't crawl up his trousers. It's not that the creepy crawlies scared him, he just wasn't fond of things crawling into his pants.

He looked up at Dravius. Immediately he was irritated. The boy was acting bored and out of sorts. Well, fine, they didn't need his help. Whoever he was. He couldn't quite remember. Where were his notes? They must be in his pocket. "I expect it was your deviant side-kicks that upset him. He's very easily upset." Evan seemed to look puzzled for a second, and his head turned a bit to the side. "Who was he again?" He asked himself, before suddenly nodding, eyes lighting up with understanding. "Oh yes, that's right. The murderer. Thank you."

"Frightened? I have a name. Though I don't think I want to hear it come out of your lips. And..." He almost stepped back, pulling Spider with him, but remembered the little spiders. He feared crushing them, so remained vigilant. "Blood type? No. I would have to ask Yama. He does not need a blood transfusion, Travus. And excuse my... deep burning hatred— no. Was that what it was? No. What's the... nevermind." He hauled the tall boy up a bit more off the ground, which was quite surprising for such a short wimpy man, and cleared his throat. "I don't like you. That's what I meant."

"And I would be adverse to helping you. How nice of you to ask. I'll be taking him to someone who actually knows what they're doing, thank you. Besides, someone so obviously not interested in helping should bugger off, if you don't mind me saying." Evan said, giving Dravius a flat stare. "Zinc? Oh, the boogey. I haven't the faintest idea. He wasn't very happy. Pity about that. But who cares about that Nancy?"

"Fair blue maiden, do you know of any real Doctors that reside here?" He asked, quite calmly as he navigated away from Dravius and spiders alike, dragging Spider with him. He was walking in the general direction of Spider's van, but by the sudden tone in his voice it was quite evident he'd rather not cooperate. "If not, I'm taking him home. Which really isn't that bad, but for some reason you people are devastated at the thought of another member having families. I don't know what it is about me that made them so angry. Probably your lack of self control and inability to hit women back. Shut up."

Zinc had considered stalking the shadow twins and murdering them. But there was that one big problem, he couldn't directly kill people (on this plain). He'd need someone else to do that. So of course there was only one option. Tell Sh'Yama hideous lies and hope she comes back and murders everyone, hopefully getting the other two in the process. Happy ending for everyone. Poor sad freak orphans don't have to worry anymore, and they stop making him angry. It was a fair deal.

How Sh'Yama got clear across to another continent in such a short amount of time was a mystery. But then, he got there quite fast himself. Pink wasn't very good for this terrain, and so Zinc was sporting a very somber gray. It went wonderfully with his even grayer parka. Thankfully, Yama had decided to stay at an actual hotel. With a roof and everything. It took a while to find the correct room, thought, and he almost felt bad that he was in such a hurry.

Oh the shenanigans he could imagine. But he was a man on a mission. She wasn't sleeping, and that was a good thing. She was sitting at the table and sharpening a rather nasty looking knife, and this only filled Zinc with joy. He cleared his throat quietly, slipping around the table and taking a seat across from her. Her reaction time could have been better. Zinc was a bit disappointed she didn't actually throw the knife at him.

Zinc's slightly altered appearance did not confuse Sh'Yama in the slightest. His smell was enough cue as to who it was, anyway. So she merely growled at him. "What do you want?" She asked, putting the knife down and steepling her long nailed fingers together over the table. So Zinc told her a horribly warped and mostly fabricated retelling of what had transpired since her being gone for one day. Most wouldn't believe Zinc. But when it was the safety of her favorite person that was on the line, fact and fiction blurred.

The resulting howl of rage could be heard around the world. Twice.

The magician returned Maya's smile as she grasped his hand to help herself down from the steps.  Selvai had thought the butterfly girl would need a moment to gather her strength, considering her weakened state.  He was surprised when she instead immediately began to head for the beach, pulling him along behind her.

Selvai quickened his pace to walk alongside her, chuckling at her eagerness.  "Tired of the crowds already?  It's barely past breakfast, Maya," he joked with her.  Spotting Raphael and Kioko, he raised his free hand to wave at the pair.  "Good morning, you two."  He raised an eyebrow at the pyro with her crutches.  "I hope you aren't over exerting your ankle, Kioko.  It needs rest to heal properly."

The pyro's eyes lingered on Selvai and Maya's linked hands before looking up at the magician.  "It's okay.  I used my crutches to get here."  She switched here attention to Maya, who had by now dropped Selvai's hand.  "How are you, Maya?  Do you feel okay?  You know, Dravius was just here,"  The white haired girl seemed to be focusing rather intently on the butterfly as she questioned her, almost totally ignoring Selvai.

The magician raised an eyebrow at Kioko's strange behavior, wondering what could possibly be bothering the girl.  He knew she was upset over Yama's departure and Maya nearly leaving, but she had seemed to be dealing with it all right.  Maybe he was wrong about it.  Mentally shaking his head, Selvai lowered himself to the sand beside of Raphael.  "Good.  Don't re-injure yourself," he told the pyro.

None of them were aware of the presence that had been observing their group for several minutes from the cover of the dense forest that surrounded the beach.  A dark haired man pulled the hood of his cloak over his head, hiding his features, beforing disappearing from the spot he had been occupying.  The stranger reappeared in a patch of trees not far from the circus vans, intently watching the pathways that led down to the beach.

--------------------------

 Disera breathed an audible sigh of relief when Dravius showed up and began to as.sess Spider.  Finally, someone who knew what they were doing.  She stood and moved carefully backwards to allow the white haired boy to examine Spider.  "Uh.  Evan.  Nice to meet you, Evan."  She wrung her hands in her dress anxiously.  "Is he going to be okay, Dravius?  I don't know anything about first aid."

The shifter was about to volunteer to help with moving Spider when Evan replied to Dravius' request, and quite rudely in her opinion.  "Whoa, okay, first of all, since you gave me your name, I'll tell you mine.  I'm Disera.  Secondly, and more importantly,  Dravius isn't perfect, but he doesn't deserve the attitude you're giving him.  Unless I'm missing something, you haven't been here all that long.  So, I don't know how you can draw a conclusion about someone you don't even know."  The shifter glared at the goateed man, tails lashing back and forth in irritation.  A sudden prickling sensation ran down her spine for a fraction of a second, but she ignored it, too intent on chewing out the little man in the strange clothing.

"And stop dragging Spider around like that,"  Disera snapped at him as he tried to move the human arachnid.  "He isn't a sack of laundry.  If you're not strong enough to properly pick him up, then don't even try."  She narrowed her eyes, practically snarling at Evan as she continued.  "Taking him home, huh?  I'll admit, I wasn't here for it, but from what I gather, his cousins dumped him at the front gate of the circus without so much as a goodbye.  Such a great, caring family.  No one even bothered to tell him he had a twin sister,"  she spat, words dripping with sarcasm.

"And if you're really curious about why you make people angry, I'd put my money on it being your cowardice and naivety.  You're convinced Dravius is a uncaring murderer?  I'm curious, when did you reach that conclusion?  Was it last night, when you were wondering around the beach?  Or maybe just now when Spider tossed you out of his van?  Because that's pretty much all you've done since you showed up.  Heaven forbid you should stop and get to know anyone here.  No, that might actually educate you as to the natures of the people here.  Can't have that, can we?"

Raphael had been frowning slightly at Julian and his news ragarding Spider, before watching the Sword Master walk off, seemingly wanting to distance himself from the entire issue. He then turned his gaze to Dravius as the Co-Master sat up, recovering quickly from his state of hyper-activeness.

"Yeah well," Raphael grumped, sniffing in a comical manner. "You know me. Serious thoughts, serious face. You can read me too easy," He raised an eyebrow at the younger male, then snorted quietly and grinned. "Whatever. I'll get you back before this so-called vacation is over,"

He watched Dravius leave with a slight smile, then turned back to look at the ocean, only turning away when he heard Selvai's voice. "Good morning Selvai, Maya" He greeted with a smile, delibrately choosing not to question the butterfly. He'd find out whatever he'd missed eventually, but right now, Maya could probably do without the has.sle. He glance at Kioko when she was greeted, his eyes looking between the magician and the pyro, his eyes curious.

Maya, who hadn't spoken at all as she walked, drooped slightly when she reached the beach. Perhaps walking so fast had not been a good idea. "Hm?... Oh, I'm fine, yes, and I know," She smiled slightly, straightening herself and yawning. She certainly felt she could probably sleep some more right about now. "We saw him practically fly here," She ran a hand over her eyes, then frowned slightly. "I might go sleep some more..." She murmered, earning a quiet laugh from the Ring Master.

"Probably, what with the lack of sleep the past week. Do you need help?" He asked, both noting Selvai's as.sistance and the girls weariness. Maya just shook her head, she didn't feel up to holding anyone to having to help her. She could manage if she went slow enough.

"No... I'll be fine," She smiled slightly at him, flaring her wings slightly, then glanced at Selvai and Kioko. "Thank you," She murmered to Selvai, before speaking to the pyro. "Take care of your ankle. I'll talk to you later,"  Well, so much for the beach. Whatever. She'd be back out in a few hours maybe, just as soon as she replenished her energy. She turned on her heel and walked back the way she had come, heading off towards her own van, pausing just before she reached it with a quiet sigh. Great. More stairs.

Raphael had watched her leave with a slight frown, before vstanding up and stretching. "Uh. I think that girl pushes herself too much sometimes," He grumped, before looking at Selvai. "So how have you been so far today, hm?"

He watched the strange girl with the butterfly wings slowly make her way from the beach, his fists clenching in anger.  The lapse in concentration caused the concealment spell he had woven around himself to begin to unravel, and he forced himself to take deep, measured breaths, relaxing himself.  He couldn't afford for that creature to sense him yet.  It had seemed as though his spell had slipped for a moment already, when he had teleported himself from the forest near the beach.  But the fact that he was still undisturbed indicated otherwise.

The hooded figure noted the van the girl approached, satisfied that no one else appeared to be close to her.  Not that it would have stopped his plans.  But the fewer obstacles, the better.  Especially with the variety of abilities the residents of this "circus" seemed to have.

Scanning the grounds one last time to be sure no one would unexpectedly interrupt, the stranger muttered a few words, disappearing from the woods.  He reappeared almost instantly a few feet from the butterfly decorated van, striding quickly toward the blonde girl attempting to climg the steps inside.  "Excuse me," he called out to her.

He smiled at her, the action causing the scars on his right cheek to crinkle strangely.  "Hello, there.  Could you help me?"  Closing the distance, he quickly grabbed her arm, tugging the teen girl off the steps and pinning her to him.  "Do not struggle," the stranger warned her, re-adjusting his grip so that her arms and wings were both pinned.  He quickly flung a small, cloth wrapped package at the van door, and hurriedly muttered his spell, teleporting the pair away from the circus grounds.

The pair reappeared somewhere in the woods surrounding the circus.  The dark haired man frowned, noticing how far he was from his destination.  He swore loudly, and teleported them once again, this time appearing near a small, wooden building on the outskirts of the forest.  Striding out of the forest, he resorted to dragging the struggling girl behind him as he approached the dilapitated structure.  A line of strange symbols encircled the shack, carved deeply into the ground.  They glowed slightly as the man crossed the barrier, giving off a greenish light before fading back to darkness.  Smaller versions of these symbols covered the door and boarded up windows, giving the buidling an eery appearence.

Pulling open the crooked door, he pushed the butterfly winged girl inside, looking at her coldly before he spoke.  "This building is protected by magical wards.  I suggest you not try to escape, since it would be impossible for anyone not skilled in magic to break them.  And the ward outside keeps any magical being except myself from approaching.  It would be in your best interest to stay quiet and wait for your lover to find us."  He shut the door in the stunned girl's face, locking the crude metal lock that was bolted to the outside.  He strode away from the building, crossing over the wards.  The dark haired stranger crossed his arms, scowling as he glared in the direction of the circus grounds.

"I would hurry if I were you, Selvai."

((*Hasn't even finished reading the post* Oh, you won't hide long...))

Nylat, when Zyano departed, sighed and scrambled to her feet, shaking her pelt off. With a sigh, she made her way to the beach, stopping as she pas.sed Raphael and Kioko, completely ignoring Selvai.
"Hello, Raphael. Kioko."
She nodded to each of them in turn, before flopping herself onto the ground, careful of her paw.
"How are you two? And where's Maya? I need to talk to her."
She flicked her ears forward, feeling something off, but ignoring it. So much had gone wrong that she had learned to ignore her sense of dread. She flicked her tail, closing her eyes for a second, wanting to pretend this whole week had been a nightmare.

[[arguments take priority over Spider. what.]]

"Oh, so his attitude at present is the glorious representation of good behavior? Oh dear, I guess I've been doing it all wrong my whole life. Next time I'm asked to help out a friend who is BLEEDING OUT OF HIS FACE I will act as uninterested as physically possible. And insult the victims concerned relative. Thank you. I have learned so much." Evan's attitude had greatly changed in the few minutes he'd been gone. This is probably because he had actually been gone for six months and had been hanging out with the troublemakers. Now that he thought about it, though, they actually weren't as bad as the family thought. They were more concerned about having a well stocked candy cupboard than actually doing any tomfoolery. So maybe they weren't too blame. Going back in time always put a very large strain on his mind. That was probably it.

"And you know, I was plenty nice and polite when I arrived. Curious even. I learned something rather nasty and didn't agree with it. At least I think that's what happened. I got an explanation and I didn't like it very much. And please, get to know him? He doesn't put a very good effort into changing peoples minds. He's an apathetic jerk. Look at him. Look at how much of a jerk he is. You lot are all very self-centered. And, riddle me this, aren't YOU doing the same thing you're accusing me of doing?" He snapped, giving her a look.

One of Spider's eyelids flickered open and he stared at the ground. He then pressed his hand to the handkerchief Evan had dropped and pressed it to his nose. "And anyway, I didn't even know he had a sister either, stupid! I learned that seven months ago! A few days, your time. I think. Right? Yes! Carly didn't really TELL PEOPLE he was doing illegal genetic experiments in the attic. And that's not even my side of the family! You're quite foolish, a.ssuming me being family means I'm Xerah or something. I bet you never even MET his cousins."

Evan raved, wanting very much to gesticulate wildly but being unable too. Spider looked at all of the little spiders crawling around him and let a few crawl onto his hand. How long had he been out? Why were they arguing again? He needed to get Evan out of here and go home, like he said. Spider got a sour look on his face as he held one of the spiders up to eye level. This wasn't even about him anymore! They were just butting heads like a bunch of kids! None of them listened to him! If Disera pulled the same act as those perverted shadows, Spider was never going to forgive her. And they call him the immature one. The little spider related. People were riduclously dumb sometimes.

Evan didn't seem to directly notice that Spider was awake. "I hate to use such a cliche phrase: But why don't you practice what you preach? Hmm?" He asked her, "And curious.... did I say I was curious? Did I?" He paused, staring blankly into space. "Oh, yes. But you answered. Funny she'd bring that up. By the way, I'm not his cousins. I lack the "psychotic sociopathic monster" element to my personality. Or did. It was a finer life back in the good old days when women didn't speak unless they were spoken too. Oh. I guess I did, didn't I? Well I'll never do that again. What would Ger do?" He paused, again suddenly looking somwhere else. He then looked up at Disera as she mentioned him getting thrown out of Spider's van.

"What? You were there for that? Then you witnessed my attack? So... their behavior is a good impression then? Golly, I really AM approaching this the wrong way. Actually, from what I've gathered from this, I'm actually acting in a way that you all appreciate and relate too. See, I went and learned how to be an irritating, self-centered jerk, just to understand you guys. Glad we're getting to know each others way of life." He stopped to take a breath. And then noticed Spider was awake.

- - -

"Hey. Hey, thanks for helping," Spider suddenly piped up, raising a hand in a thumbs up. "Real nice work. Also I am being sarcastic. I don't need help, unless you're helping me pack." He said, and let out a sigh as he rubbed his temple. "The shadow girls snuck into my van. And then they slapped Evan for no reason. There reasons were... that he was "scared" and they thought that clocks were dumb or something. Funny, if being scared of strangers is so bad, why the heck wasn't I beaten? Huh? Maybe my fears made sense. You all would have slapped me to death if I didn't make sure you stayed out of my bubble. He wasn't doing anyone any harm. Not once did he hurt anyone." Spider said, still being held uncomfortably by Evan

 "He was only looking out for me and you guys all hate that! So shut up! Not another word about how Evan isn't trying to get to know you or something. I never tried to get to know you big stupid idiots and I was ten times more frightened than he was! He's been nothing but harra.ssed since he got here and I'VE had to defend him! ME!! The very person you guys supposedly "care about". Because attacking my relatives is a sure sign of how much you care, right? Whatever. Not another word. I'll drown myself. I'll drown other people. I dunno. I'm very tired. My head hurts."

A majority of the spiders that had been on the ground were now crawling all over Spider, so Evan stood him gently back up. And then Evan started crying again. "I'm so sorry Boris, oh it's all my fault. Look how pale you are. You probably have irreversible damage done to your brain. Why didn't I drag you to a real doctor?" Evan whined pitifully and put his head in his hands. "Why can't I leave an argument as is and not get so upset about what people think about me? I blame the media, it's all that blasted televisions fault..."

- - -

It was at this point that there was the sound akin to someone ripping a door off of it's hinges and throwing it into a wall. A rather large dent was made in the wall of Spider's van. And then the door that had been thrown open and slammed already today, was thrown open again. This time it wasn't the power of someones mind, but the rather violent punch that Sh'Yama threw into it. The door very nearly came off it's hinges as it slammed open, with her barreling out after it.

The situation was very quickly analyzed. Spider was holding a blood covered handkerchief to his face and that Evan man was crying. There was a small crowd.  Sh'Yama was almost literally boiling with rage. With two quick strides she was standing in front of Spider, and then turning her back to him to stare at everyone else present. "You have two seconds to explain!" She bellowed. "Before I take Zinc's advice and eviscerate EVERYONE HERE."

Spider couldn't be happier, and immediately attached himself to his siter for a hug.  She still looked very frightening, even with a gangly albino attached to her torso. Evan was a little glad Yama was here... but only because Spider was very happy to see her. He didn't actually want to see her eviscerate anyone. Zinc, on the other hand, did, very much so. And he stepped out of the van with a look of someone who was very angry and hopelessly amused at the same time.

[[also we should have a sign for kidnappers. "The last person to kidnap a member was beaten to death and left to rot in a trash can. We at present have a cannibalistic spider witch on speed dial. It's a bad idea. Totally. Don't do it."]]

((Pffftt Zomby. xD))

Effort. Maya hadn't realised stairs could take so much effort, saying that, she had never been quite so drained before, so it was all a learning curve. Maybe. She certainly hoped it wouldn't last, nor that she'd go through this again.

Stepping forward and onto the stairs, the butterfly paused when she heard that voice, one she could only as.sume was directed at her, and seemed to be when she looked at him. Another one she didn't regocnise. Shehad half a mind to immeidately direct this guy to Raphael or Dravius. They could deal with this better than she could.

She replied to his question with an unfinished "What-", before she felt the stranger grasp her arm, the action too quick for her to either retaliate or respond. She could only look at him in shock and confusion when he suggested she didn't struggle. No, no no. This wasn't happening. This was just a nightmare... After everything already, no.

Maua had been on the verge of shouting for help, which would have probably got her out of this mess had the strange magician not teleported at that moment. Having been quickly seperated from help, the butterfly resorted to struggling. Perhaps, if she'd had more energy, she'd have actually got somewhere with her squirming. At the moment though, the whole thing was pointless.

"Let me go! You... You.." Growling slightly, Maya attempted to actually kick her captor, twisting her body in an attempt to physically get the guy, not that it did much good. She hadn't the strength to quite reach the stranger, and his second teleportation threw her slightly off balance. Grimicing, she contued her fruitless struggle, verbally abusing her captor as a slow, and very real, and sudden panic almost wrenched a scream from her. The butterfly didn't have much time to do so before she had been roughly released, landing heavily on her elbows when the magician pretty much threw her into that shed.

She glared openly at him, blinking at his words. Lover?... Who, wait... What?
Maya pulled herself up quickly when he slammed the door. "Wait!" She shouted, standing unsteadily and attempting to pull open the door. Fear took over, as the girl made her way to the closest wall, and tried in vain to pull apart the wooded wall. All she managed to do was give herself a deep gash in the palm of her right hand. Wincing, she glanced fleetingly at the bleeding injury, not really noting the large amount of blood, before turning and hitting her head gently against the wood wall; Sliding down it to sit by the door with a dead ex
pression.

This was a nightmare... It had to be. Pulling her knees to her chin and laying her head on them, that's what she continued to tell herself, ignoring the stinging pain in her hand and trying not to think about whatever this person wanted her for, tears flowing silently down the girls flawless face. She quickly, and somewhat angrily, wiped them away, glaring once at the door before returning her head to her knees. Just a nightmare.

Dravius had managed to ignore all of Evan's words, still checking Spider's pulse, and just doing basic things that made sure the boy would be all right. He didn't have time to answer Disera's question before Evan went off on another tangent. The man seemed not quite right in the had, if you asked him, although nobody did.

The Co-master almost let out a quiet laugh at Evan's remarks about his additude. If he was apathetic, he wouldn't be sprinting around all day doing way too many things for way too many people. He watched Spider awake slowly, ranting, although not with the same intensity and craziness of Evan. "You know, if you guys insist on leaving, or going to an actual hospital, Evan's not going to be able to drag Spider there. We could always give you a ride, or if you don't trust us enough, get you one,"

Dravius felt his skin crawl at the violent sound behind him, and he stepped back as Sh'Yama stormed up. "Well, we now know where Zinc went. What'd you lie about now, Bubblegum?" He asked, pushing the brim of his checkered hat away from his fair face, which now held furrowed brows and a slight glare. "Two seconds. Huh. Evan showed up, disappeared, reappeared the next morning, in Spider's van, forgot that he was carrying two short-tempered members of the circus, got thrown out of a van, was slapped twice by aformentioned circus members, Spider gave himself brain damage trying to simultaniously kill everyone present and run away, his nose started bleeding, I was rudely awakened to try and help, I came, and here we are,"

-------------------------------------

Anur had been reading and petting a snake just outside her van, as Fettrow had come back only a few minutes ago. She felt odd without the extra weight of about one hundred spiders, but she shrugged it of with a yawn. Suddenly, something set her hair on end, but the feeling faded just as fast. Shivering, she stood and poked her head around the corner of her snake-skin painted van, which lay just a few away from Maya's. She liked Maya. Anur could even hang around the supremely frightening Dravius when Maya was there. The girl just tended to mellow everyone out, and mellow was something the red-haired woman liked. A lot.

Anur's eyes widened as a creepy man with scars on his face showed up out of nowhere, and wrapped greasy fingers around Maya's wrist. Oh.....Oh no. When both disappeared, the woman took a few steps back, her fingers playing over Fettrow's smooth scales. Hyperventilating, the woman opened her mouth and let out a bloodcurdling screech of, "Dravius!" and sprinted towards the frightening Co-Master. As scary as he was, he was probably the one who wanted to hear about this he most.

On her way, she pas.sed the beach. On her run from her van, Anur had been shreiking a combination "Dravius!" "Maya!" and "Oh my gaaaawd!" But as she streaked past Selvai and Raphael, she skidded to a stop and yelled, "Some greasy man with scars on this side of his face poofed up and then took Maya!" Anur slapped a hand over the right side of her face, then continued running.

----------------------------

Dravius's head whipped around at Anur's yells, his eyes narrowing. The woman nearly slammed into him before stopping, Fettrow's head not stopping, and thudding against his chest. Anur's words were fast, breathless, and blurred together.

"OhmygawdsomegreasycreepcameandgrabbedMayaandthendisappeared andthenshegotkidnappedandthenI....." Anur's eyes rolled back in her head and she slumped against the Co-Master. Dravius's eyes were narrowed and he quickly lowered the woman to the ground and told Yama, "Eviscerate later, alright? Someone's taken Maya," At that, the boy took off at a flat sprint, his long stride carrying him away, a long stream of curses and threats trailing behind him.

Trees rushed past as Dravius raced through the forest, and a little girl showed up  next to him, clinging to a rapidly moving tree branch. "Miranda, make it easier to walk, sweets?" Dravius panted, and the girl nodded, whispering to the branch. In a matter  of seconds, the ground had risen a few inches with smooth green sprouts, making the ground even and easy to run on. He could almost sense Maya as he scrambled up a hill. Sliding down and nearing the edge of the forest, he spotted a man with scars down his face, and yes, he looked more than a little creepy.  The gra.ss underneath him smoothed to from a bit of a slide down the hill, and the youth picked up speed, screaming oscenities and insulting everything from the  stranger's hygeine to his mother's virtue.

Dravius connected with the back of the stranger's knees, also shoving a handful of wickedly sharp surgical needles into the other's calf as well. He stood as the slippery plants receeded, his eyes narrowed and positively furious. his hair was full of plants and dust, and standing on ed under his hat, which, against all odds, he had managed to keep on his head.

"The f*ck are you?" The Co-Master growled, panting slightly from the run. "And...where...in th..name of everything..I'm going to use to....crack...your...skull....is....Maya?" He added, his hands curled into fists.

(Dravvy's not in the best of moods....)

((D< You and your vacations.))

Nylat was dozing, being lazy for once when Anur stopped by them. At her words, the hybrid scrambled to her feet, growling as if the kidnapper were right there. Oh, if she got her jaws on him....She flicked her tail. Now to find where he was. A look of pure anger on her face, she started off through the vans, sniffing as if to catch a trail. Not that she could. She snaked her way through the vans, catching sight of Dravius running toward the forest, practically flying for all his speed. She snickered a bit, before making her way in the same direction, though at a much slower pace. She wasn't injuring herself more. Then again, it was Maya....No. She'd do no good if she was hurt more. She had a muderous look in her eyes as she slipped between trees, taking a more difficult route, but still in the same direction as Dravius. There was no way a creep like this would get away alive...

"Nylat," Raphael greeted with a slight smile and a wave, bending to retrieve his shirt from the sand, shaking it free of the gritty material before slinging it over his shoulder and sliding his hands into his pant pockets. "I'm... Alright, I guess. As for Maya," He shrugged here. "She headed to her van. No doubt to sleep again, she has quite a lot of that to catch up on," He smiled, scuffing a foot in the sand and closing his eyes, turning his face skyward.

It really was too hot today, and had probably just reached it's peak with the onset of noon, the sun blazing at it's highest point. Raphael fleetingly considered going for a swim as he listened to the gleeful shouts and relaxed voices of the members of the Majikus, the swish of the churning waves and slight breezes providing a relaxed backdrop. He also wondered just how that Evan was doing, and whether or not the guy had left or stayed.

Sighing slightly, the tall blonde shook his head, then turned back to Selvai, Kioko and Nylat just as Anur practically flew towards the beach. He watched her initial approach with an amused sort of ex
pression, which was quickly replaced by obvious concern when Raphael caught sight of the tall womans face. "Anur, what-" He started, only stopping to listen to her rushed tirade, right before she flew off again.He blinked after her, before her words hit home and caused him to inhale sharply through his nose, his eyes narrowed as he glanced up and down the beach.

He paid only fleeting attention as Nylat headed off, no doubt to go look for Maya. Raphael remained where he was, but only for the moment, after all. He didn't know Maya's location, nor that of her kidnapper. Remembering present company, the Ring-Master looked at Selvai. "Looks like it's not over just yet. We should follow Nylat," He said, looking in that general direction. She had headed, basically, towards the butterfly's van. "And quickly. Not only have we got to look for Mayanna,I should probably keep Nylat from injuring herself further,"

[[I shouldn't be posting again. D: but i am anyway. also, beard otp.

(I'm sorry. o-o)]]

Zinc made a mock hurt face at Dravius's glare. "Like I need to lie about anything." He said. "I might have exaggerated a little bit. That's all. And stop calling me "Bubblegum" unless you want a special surprise sometime this evening."

A snarling snort was Sh'Yama's response to Dravius's explanation. "A pity he failed in killing everyone present, then," She said, coldly, and turned around. "This place could have used a few more corpses." She patted Spider on the back, her lower eyelid twitching rapidly. "These members," She started. "Names. Location. Preferred method of murder. Perhaps something involving a spatula and their carotid arteries."

She looked down her nose at Evan, who was still crying, and wondered what happened to the joyful man she had seen the other day. From what Zinc said, they obviously brutally ripped every happy fiber out of his being and ate it in front of him. Leaving nothing but a pathetic shell of sadness and agony behind. There would be no recovery. Sh'Yama wished she had that ability. But she could only rip out peoples organs and eat them in front of them. It resulted in pretty much the same thing, but you could only relish it for so long.

Spider was too busy glaring angrily into Sh'Yama's arm to answer. And besides, he didn't know. They probably smelled like Evan though. She'd pick up on it. He realized that he didn't really like Dravius very much either. Not at the moment, anyway. And not much before. Always being a jerk over his irreversible fear of everyone and everything because of events that may or may not have transpired when he was a person. Rudely awakened? Well fine, his stupid dumb stupid face can go back to bed! He never wanted his dumb stupid idiot help anyway!

"Here we are." He grumbled, "And I'd never want to be escorted anywhere by you. Nothing about trust. I just don't like you all very much right now. And I think you doubt Evan's dragging abilities." he added, over Yama's arm. And Spider didn't really mind if his "brain damage" actually resulted in death. Good riddance. He wasn't supposed to exist anyway. At least all of the poor souls stuck in this wretched body would be free. Freeee— He felt something like a knock on the head, but couldn't for the life of him figure out who did it. Must have been his imagination.

Now it was probably a good thing that Yama had such a soft spot for Maya in her teeny tiny black heart, otherwise she might have just ripped Dravius's head off anyway and played a game of football with it. Because being told that someone had taken Maya only made her even more angry. This was probably the fifteenth time this month that had happened. They were going to have to glue that girl to stump or something so this would stop happening.

Yama's anger-o-meter was going to fly off the charts. "Eviscerate later? How about eviscerate the..." She said a bunch of horrible things. Most in a different language, and then finished with something about "kidnapping". She pried Spider off of her. "Look over these foolish carnie idiots for me." She said, and turned an eye on Zinc. "Teach Mr. Evan to punch or something while I'm gone."

It didn't take very long for Yama to get somewhere. The usual twitchy, spider like way of walking disappeared when she ran. And long legs ran fast. She could smell magic. She had a feeling Dravius was biting off more than he could chew by going alone before alerting some help. That's okay. Yama was sure she'd bite off more than she could chew, too. Magic. The weak mans way of doing things. She was a bit out of practice with it, but she was sure she could still rip someones skeleton out of their body if she concentrated hard enough. But then... she could do that without magic.

Evan was going from crying, to staring blankly ahead. Zinc was sure they'd broken him. What did they do to him in the few minutes he'd been gone? You couldn't leave anyone alone around here! Zinc tried waving his hand in front of his blank, staring face, but got no response. After a few seconds Evan would suddenly sniff and go back to crying again like nothing had happened. He was still talking to Spider, even though the boy was now sitting cross legged next to Anur and holding a red, once white handkerchief in his hand. His nose had stopped bleeding, and he was staring at Anur in the way someone who has no idea what to do does.

Again, Evan broke off, in mid sentence, and stared straight ahead. His lips were moving soundlessly. He didn't seem to hear anything around him, and didn't react to Zinc poking him in the chest. Zinc had had loads of experience with lunatics, and he was sure he'd seen this behavior somewhere before. He took Evan's gla.sses off and rubbed the smudges off onto his shirt, before putting them back on Evan's head. Evan didn't seem to notice. Zinc cleared his throat awkwardly.

And almost jumped when Evan's eyes came back into focus and he took a deep, shuddering breath. Not that he was scared or anything, but that was a bit creepy. "She said I need to apologize." Evan mumbled, staring wide-eyed at Zinc. "What, now? Who?" Zinc asked, color starting to return to his hair. Now that Spider wasn't upset, he was feeling a little better himself. "Penelope. "Forgive and forget", she says. Gervaise uh, he doesn't agree. And I don't either. But I really don't want to upset Penny. I know I disappoint her enough as is. I—I don't mean to but..."

He got a confused look on his face, as if he realized what he was saying, and he suddenly smiled. It was a smile that wasn't really a smile, but could pa.ss for one. "I'm sorry, were you saying something? Sorry dear, I was... miles away." His mood swings had gone from joyful, to scared beyond reason, to ridiculously angry, to... whatever it was his mood was now. Eyes that had been narrowed in a glare, that had just moment ago been wide with fear and anger, now just looked very sad. He pulled the chain to his pocketwatch through his fingers and looked around at the vans around him, as if seeing them for the first time. Or the first time in a long time.

Had he disappeared and popped back again? He was acting different all of a sudden. Zinc had a feeling he wasn't just going away for a few seconds, or hours or whatever. Or maybe it was just that every time he disappeared he lost a little bit of himself. Huh. Maybe he'd been right. He really was going to be an empty shell devoid of all happiness. He could just blame the Circus for it and Yama would be none the wiser. Evan was looking at Disera, and there was a slight twitch, as if he was going to go back to staring at nothing again, and then he stepped forward. "I'm sorry." He said. And he did indeed sound very sorry, but at the same time, his voice almost emotionless.

What he was sorry for, he didn't remember. It'd come back to him soon, he was sure.

(("And so, Cersis and Evan left the Circus behind them to live together in bearded happiness.  The end."  xD))

"Don't call me stupid," Disera growled at the strange little man.  It was very tempting to reply to Evan's rant in a non verbal manner.  Such as holding him down and shaving that sad little goatee off.  Or maybe rubbing sand into his mouth.  That would definitely make her feel better.  And it might get him to be quiet for a bit.  Bonus.

She was mentally listing a number of painful and embaras.sing things that could be done to Evan when Spider finally managed to regain consciousness.  Only to launch into a rant of his own.  Disera flinched at his harsh words and ducked her head, wrapping her feathered wings around herself.  "Gah.  Spider..."  the shifter whimpered quietly.

"What Dravius said,"  Disera muttered after Yama's door destroying appearence and demands for an explaination.  Let him deal with the irate cannibal woman.  She had better things to do with her day.  Like stand here and glare at Evan.  Which she was doing quite well when the panicky, out of breath Anur stumbled over to Dravius, blurted out an incomprehensible sentence, and proceeded to collapse.  It took a few seconds for her statement to register with the shifter, but when she managed to work out the message, a memory of her split second shivery reaction from a few minutes ago popped into her head.  "Cersis."

"That was...He's getting hurt, definitely, no one's stopping me.... Gotta tell the magician about this..."  Disera growled to herself, tensing as her wings slowly unfurled, tails lashing back and forth sharply.  She was so distracted that the shifter barely reacted to Evan's sudden dramactic shift in moods or his apparent talking to no one.  "I forgive you,"  she told him absently.  "But I need to go find Selvai.  Immediately.  Now."

She turned away from the strange scene, shifting into her wolf form and sprinting down the beach toward the cicus vans.

---------------------------------

Selvai had hurried to his feet at Anur's exclamation, shaken at her deion of the culprit.  He barely registered Nylat's growl before she hurried away to search for Maya, or Kioko's panicked scrambling to get to her feet.  "Maya!" the girl leaned on one crutch, wide eyed and somehow even more pale than usual.  She swayed slightly, looking over both him and Raphael wildly. "P-please, let's go!" the white haired girl pleaded with them.

The magician simply nodded at the ring master's statement, not fully paying attention.  "I'll go on ahead," he told Raphael, hurrying in the direction the screaming Anur had appeared from.  Breaking into a run, Selvai quickly reached the circus vans, spotting Disera loping towards them as well.  They reached Maya's at almost the same time, and Disera began speaking almost as soon as Selvai was within speaking distance.

"I'msorryI'msorryI'msorryI'msorry," the shifter cried unhappily.  "I sensed him down on the beach but I didn't pay attention and now he's took Maya-"

"Apologize later,"  The magician interrupted her uncharacteristically, hurriedly looking over the scene.  A small, folded cloth beside the steps caught his eye, and he plucked it up, unfolding it.  A short length of woven string fell out, attatched to what appeared to be a wooden charm, oblong in shape, and slightly smaller than a quarter.  Strange symbols were carved into both sides of the wood.  Selvai grimaced as he looked at the necklace.

"Selvai.  What is that?"  Disera had begun to pace around his feet worriedly.  "If it's not important, we need to GO.  Cersis has Maya."

"Yes."  He wrapped the charm back up in the cloth and shove it into his pocket.   Disera ran ahead of him, towards the forest where Dravius and Nylat had already headed in search of the kidnapper.  The magician followed, hands clenched in anger.

--------------------------------

"Damnit!"  Cersis lashed out with his uninjured leg, catching the white haired boy in the stomach before teleporting to put some distance between them.  Muttering a spell, he pointed two fingers at the ground underneath the circus member.  A cracking noise came from the soil as it rearranged its self into a group of large hands, grabbing his opponents legs and pulling him to the ground.  The enchanted dirt limbs threw themselves over the white haired boy, until he was completely encased.

"This doesn't concern you, boy," the magician said, and began swearing once again as he pulled the needles from his calf.  Small dots of blood welled up from the wounds, staining the cloth of his pants leg.

A howl of rage drew his attention, and he looked up from his leg to see a dark blue, transparent wolf dash into the clearing, heading for the mound of dirt the white haired boy was trapped under.  Cersis pulled the last needle from his leg and let it drop to the ground with the others.  The creature changed forms, becoming something humanoid, before attacking the soil covering the boy.

"I see Selvai has kept his creature with him," Cersis sneered.  "I had hoped he would regain his senses and destroy you.  It seems I hoped for too much."

The creature snarled, and shifted positions as thought it would try to attack him.   Good.  He prepared to cast another spell as a familar voice spoke.

"Stay back, Disera,"  Selvai appeared at the edge of the trees, teleporting himself inbetween Cersis and the creature.  He looked over his shoulder at her when he spoke again.  "Finish helping Dravius.  I'll deal with Cersis."

The creature snarled, but returned to digging the white haired boy out from the dirt.  "I see you've grown a beard, Cersis," it spoke.  "Or did you glue a dead rat to your face?  I can't tell the difference."

He swore at the blue creature, lifting his hand to throw a spell at both it and the white haired boy, when a hand gripped his wrist and lifted it above his head, breaking the spell.  Cersis snarled in frustration, swearing at Selvai, who had teleported closer to him.  "Stop this,"  Selvai ordered.  "Release Maya and leave, before the other members of the circus find you.  They are enraged over your actions, and I can't guarantee you won't be further harmed if you try to fight all of them."

"I don't need your protection!"  Cersis hurriedly spoke a few words, slamming his foot down on the ground between them.  Sharpened rocks erupted upward toward the white haired magician, causing him to let go of Cersis' arm.  The pair seperated, each teleporting a short distance away from the minor explosion.  He noted with bitter satisfaction that Selvai appeared to be bleeding from several lacerations across his body, and was cradling his right arm with his left.

"You're serious about this."  He looked at Cersis strangely.  It appeared as though he couldn't decide whether to be angry, sad, or disappointed.

"Of course I'm serious!" the brunette snarled once again.  "Why would I bother kidnapping your lover as bait to draw you here if I weren't serious?"

The previous emotions on Selvai's face were now replaced by a look of pure confusion.  "Lover?"  He shook his head wearily.  "I am afraid you are mistaken, brother.  Maya is NOT my lover."

"Lying will do you no good now."  Cersis snapped, preparing another spell.

"It isn't-"

Cersis launched another attack, cutting him off mid-sentence.  As the rubble cleared, he looked around for the white haired magician, spotting him near the warded building.  He appeared to be trying to break the wards surrounding the shed.

Cersis teleported closer, this time summoning a series of tree roots from under the ground to attack, and swearing loudly when Selvai teleported away again.  "You're not even going to attack?" he snapped.  "You're simply going to keep running away like a dog?"

After watching Nlyat leave, Raphael had been on the verge of following after her before Kioko spoke, and looked at the white haired pyro with a slight frown. Like the girl hadn't gone through enough already. The same with Maya.

He watched Selvai leave shortly after, then sighed and faced Kioko. "We'd better hurry then, hm." Without pausing, the tall blonde lifted Kioko easily, being sure to get a hold of the crutches too. "Sorry about this, though it'll prevent you using that ankle too much," Taking off at a steady and speedy sprint, Raphael followed the direction of both Nylat and Selvai, spotting the magicaian and Disera as they headed off.

He followed, unsure of just where they were headed, though it soon made sense. His sensitive mind picked up on the presence of magic, and he felt a growl make its way into his throat, though he made no sound.

Skidding to a stop, Raphael reached the clearing just in time to see Dravius get pulled down by earth, shortly a.sisted by Disera. Lowering Kioko to the ground, the Ring-Master listened in silence to the words between Selvai and this Cersis person. His eyes narrowed when Cersis mentioned taking the other magicians lover, and narrowed further at the word "brother".

Ah. Made sense. Probably best to leave the two to it,  he as.sumed as he watched them. Besides, Disera and Dravius were also here, and someone needed to keep an eye on Kioko. Wouldnt be good if one of those spells backfired. Though that wasn;t to say he wouldn't intervene if Selvai started getting the short straw. He'd be more than willing to do so. For now, however, he chose to go and as.sist Disera, pulling Dravius out of the grasp of earth.

"You. You never think first do you?" He addressed the Co-Master with a wry smile. Go figure.

~~~
She knew she hadn't been there long, but it certainly felt like it. The fear that had slowly made its presence known had become a nagging pitch, and she stared blatantly at the floor of the darkened shed.
It was only the sound of an angry, and very familiar voice that roused her and caused her to glance towards the door. Standing, Maya placed both hands on the grotty wood and listened, a sudden hope flaring at the Co-Masters agitated tone. He didn't sound close, but it was close enough for her to know that she wasn't lost. They'd found her, and that was good enough.
"Dravius!" She yelled through the wood, unsure of whether or not her voice would reach him. Whatever, it was worth a shot. It wasn't long after that other barely distinguishable noises, and other voices, much quieter than the first. Maya pressed against the wood of the wall with both hands, her gashed palm stinging slightly as she hoped silently they'd figure out she wa in here. If they left after being this close... Well.
((Not too good but eh. No motivation tonight. xD))
Nylat, having finally reached where everyone else seemed to get first, backed into the cover of the trees a bit, watching the ensuing fight. Leave Selvai to it and let him get all the fun, or help out herself? Hm. She decided to go with the latter. Circling around so she was behind the other magician, she stretched a bit, making sure she'd be able to make it the short run without falling. Running on three legs was not practiced. She surveyed him carefully, before crouching a bit, judging the distance, before shooting out of the trees like a furry brown bullet. At the last moment, she turned, letting momentum carry her full weight of *confidential* into Cersis.
