[[Perfect end to the roleplay, beards living happily ever after. also, Nylat is about the same size (I'm guessing) as a lioness. So she's probably like 300 pounds. Oh no, Cersis. D:]] Yama considered helping. But meh... there were enough of them there already. Besides, Maya was her concern. Fighting siblings were not. Though the circus members didn't respect her family issues and butted in whenever they could, Yama was going to take the neutral stance on their issues. Neutral in this case was heading straight for the shed. It was a bit creepy, if she was willing to admit it, but she could smell Maya. She was of course being held captive in the shack. Of course, she came up from behind, where no one else was... because it would be stupid to flounce on up in front of the bad guy. His defensive measures weren't as good as she'd hoped... well, not that she had been hoping for a challenge... The outer symbols were a cake walk. Especially with Selvai starting to get rid of them for her. Was that supposed to be a protective barrier? She barely noticed it was there. There was a bit of resistance at first, but she quickly took care of that. Instead of destroying it completely, she just made a hole. In a manner of speaking. She was a bit too good at getting around these things. But then, Laurence was very fond of breaking into places he wasn't supposed to. Naturally it rubbed off on his pupil. The ones on the building though... hm, they might prove a little bit more difficult. She might even have to mutter an incantation. Yama hated having to do that. It was terribly embarra.ssing. "What a big baby. And kidnapping. That never works." Sh'Yama stood in front of the wall of the shed, her nose wrinkling in distaste. Well there was certainly some protection on it. A little bit flimsy though. Someone wasn't being all that careful in preparation. He was obviously too angry about his far more attractive brother having a girlfriend to make sure his work was perfect. But even then, she had to give him credit. It was okay. However, she doubted this boy was slaved over for twenty years by an insane perfectionist to create the most powerful human created magic user in existence. She was still his greatest failure, after Spider. But, she had learned a thing or two. Yama was just much more fond of using her fists than throwing open some wimpy books and whining spells. If she couldn't rip a hole in this building she aught to perform seppuku and get her failed life over with. Sh'Yama ignored the flailing teleporting drama queens and planted her booted feet on the ground, trying to keep her agitation under control. Hopefully the barrier still being up would keep Mr. Kidnapper from realizing she was trying to get in the building. And as long as Sylvia kept his brothar occupied this would be over in no time. There had to be a weak point... well, probably just the whole wall. Only putting the best symbols on the obvious entry points? Most likely he was more worried about someone getting out than someone getting in. Hopefully Maya wasn't lounging around by this wall. It had to be quiet... and not burn the place down. Yama racked her brain. It was too bad she new more about Necromancy than about disintegrating wood. But then, it was a pretty moldy old building... maybe she could just kick a hole in it. Yama rolled her shoulders and cautiously placed her hands on the building. The fact that she didn't immediately combust made her feel better about her decision. - - - "Ah. Forgiven. Well that's a good thing, isn't it?" Evan asked, and Zinc was about to answer. But then Evan kept going. "Thank you, Penny. Now what was that about kidnapping and... something about a Selvai?" Evan turned to Zinc, looking concerned. "Who cares." Zinc said blandly. "Maya is kidnapped like... every fifteen minutes. It's like Saturday Morning every day in this place. I'm sure He-Man will rescue her any minute now. She'll be fine. Anyway, I'm gonna go draw a moustache on this comatose weirdos face." Zinc promptly walked over to where Spider was, pulling a sharpie out of his pocket as he went. Evan stared after him. Who was He-Man? Why was he so unconcerned about a damsel in distress? Galahad wouldn't sit by and leave a fair maiden to the wolves. Oh but they already didn't like him. He'd only make things worse. Evan pulled his cue cards out of his back pocket and looked them over. The first card said everyone here was an insane murderer. That was... yesterday. He then reread every card there so that he was up to speed with this timeline. He shuffled his cards and found one that really shouldn't be in there. Yet. It was two hours from now. It only had one sentence and it said "They really don't like you". It had been underlined twice. Now the problem was, was that he couldn't remember what happened two hours from now. Because he hadn't been there... well, he had. But not yet. Evan quickly put his cards back in his pocket before he confused himself even more. "Are you sure she'll be alright? I aught to help... to apologize. My notes say I was... "quite a jerk, actually", in reflection to what was happening for the past half hour... four hours from now. What was I doing there? I know better than to keep going back like that... and blast it all, why can't I remember? Darn you magic! You Guardian Forces and your memory erasing..." Zinc looked up at him. The Anur girls snake would have none of this marker business, so he had plopped down next to Spider instead and was examining him. As far as Zinc could tell, Spider would be fine. But then, Zinc wasn't a doctor. He'd pretended to be a nurse once, but that was about as far as his medical experience ever got. "Yeah. Sure. Back? What do you mean like—" "Time travel?!" Spider exclaimed, and stared at Evan with wide eyes. Evan tittered nervously in response, his sad smile twitching into another fake smile that wasn't very good at lying. "Hahah... hah. Of course not." He breathed. And then he disappeared. It took him an awful long time to get to where the epic battle was taking place, even while following the crazy trail the murderer Travis had left. He decided to not get too close. After all, he couldn't really do anything. Except mess with the outcome of time if the situation to do so arose. So he waited, standing quite a ways back and watched the dirt flying and the horrible Carnie Demons as they attacked the kidnapper. The stupid man didn't have a chance... now that he was in their terrible claws there would be no escape. Maybe he could just give the poor foolish kidnapper a proper burial when they were all done with him.

Kioko watched Selvai hurry toward the circus vans, then turned to Raphael with a pleading look. "Please, let's go," she begged quietly. Her eyes began to water, and Kioko pressed the heels of her palms into them to stop from crying. Things had just started to get better. And now this happens? She looked up at Raphael when he spoke to her, and nodded in agreement. The pyro clung tightly to the blonde as he picked her up and sprinted away. She buried her face in his shoulder, fighting not to cry. The white haired girl looked up once the Circus Master had come to a stop. Seeing Disera trying to free Dravius from a mound of dirt, the girl whimpered, sagging against her crutches as Raphael put her down to as.sist the pair. She stood at the edge of the clearing by herself, watching as Selvai was repeatedly attacked by the dark haired stranger. Maya was no where to be seen, though, and Kioko began to panic. Spots started to appear in front of her eyes, and she realized was hyperventilating. The girl let her crutches fall to the ground, and sank to her knees, clamping her hands over her mouth to force herself to breath more slowly. As her vision cleared, she looked over at a large, brown blur bursting from the trees to slam into the stranger, knocking him over. Kioko flinched at the impact, relaxing a fraction when she realized it was Nylat who had appeared. The girl pushed herself off the ground, intending to go do something, anything to help. A jolt of pain from her ankle knocked her back to her knees, and the pyro could do nothing except watch the others. Clenching her fists, the girl felt like screaming in frustration. Useless. She was completely useless. -------------------------------- Disera finished clearing the dirt and rocks from Dravius, looking up when Raphael appeared and helped pulled the white haired boy off the ground. She looked back to Selvai and Cersis, growling fiercely as she noticed Selvai had been injured from the other magicians attacks and was now bleeding. "That b@st@rd!" Shifting into her wolf, Disera charged toward the brunette, smirking in grim satisfaction as Nylat attacked and knocked Cersis to the ground. She would have laughed if she weren't so angry. The shifter came to stand beside Nylat, snarling when she got a better look at Selvai. "You. Are gonna hurt for this. Cersis. Attacking Selvai when you know he won't fight you. Coward." She spat at him. ------------------------------- He had begun to prepare another spell when a large creature slammed full force into him, knocking him off his feet. Momentarily stunned, the spell he was creating unraveled, disappearing. He heard a familar voice shouting angrily and rolled to his knees, quickly pushing himself off the ground. The magician made a noise of disgust when he spotted the creature that had attacked him. A large, brownish animal, clearly not created by nature. "I see my brother has collected yet another abomination," he said coldly. He sneered at Disera's words. "If he chooses not to fight, that is his mistake. It will simply make this easier for me." Disera snarled, leaping forward at the magician and sinking her fangs into his already injured leg. He let out a scream of pain, stumbling backwards and kicking at her with his other leg. A heavy boot caught her in the ribs, knocking the breath out of her and causing the shifter to let go of her grip on Cersis. "Monster!" He glared wide eyed at her, then began mutter some strange words she couldn't understand. Disera hurriedly stepped backward, trying to get out of range of whatever it was he was preparing. She let out a startled yell as her front paws suddenly began to sink into the ground, which had taken on the consistency of quicksand. Panicked, she tried to yank herself free, only to have her legs pulled even deeper in. Whining in fear, she arched her neck, trying to keep her head clear as she continued to sink. "Stop!" Selvai appeared beside his brother, grasping his arm and quickly teleporting the both of them to the other side of the clearing. With the spell broken, Disera dissolved into mist, reforming in her true form. She pushed herself to her feet, shaking slightly. "Gah. Damnit." Selvai stumbled as they reappeared, the injuries and continued teleporting taking their toll. Cersis took advantage, kicking Selvai's legs from under him and pressing his foot to his neck. "I could easily kill you right now," Cersis told him. "And you still refuse to fight me."

The mound of dirt Dravius was under had been issuing a stream of muffled curses and rather drastic threats, until his face and now-dirt-brown hair broke the pile of soil. He grabbed Raphael's wrist and pulled himself up. His pale skin was stained almost a coffee colour with dirt, and he had left his hat in the scattered earth. "Yes, and you're always fashionably late, hmm?" He said to Raphael, through clenched teeth. There was a thin stream of red trailing from between his sharp teeth, and he turned his head to the side. Coughing, he let fall a stream of blood, and a lump of blue-black flesh. "Better. Bit part a' may tongue off," He murmered, then his head snapped to the side at a very faint call of his name from a shed a while away. "Not better," He growled, his white teeth flecked with bits of dirt and specks of crimson. Dravius's gaze went swiftly back to the clump of figures near the loud, rather limp-looking magician. He snarled at the man that had rather blatently kidnapped Maya, then strode up behind the man, looking around when both Selvai and Cersis dissappeared, then growling deeply, trotting over to the two. "Huh. Ya know, before kidnapping someone, people would do well to do research" The Co-Master's dirty face was fierce, with streaks of blood leaking from the corners of his mouth. "Such as that girl in that shed...is someone I love." At the end of this statement, Dravius's face contorted into a mask of fury and utter hatred, and he slammed his fist into the side of Cersis's face, snarling with bared teeth. He put a knee into Cersis's back and pushined the magician down hard, long streams of blood dripping heavily from Dravius's chin and stained lips. "I'm gon' kill you." He growled. ------------------------ In the cabin, a small dog was hiding under a fallen plank of wood. The dog was watching an odd girl with wings press herself against the wall. How had it ended up in this? He had just wanted a little rest...and here he ends up with an insanely frightening man with a badger glued to his chin, and this, while pretty, no doubt in danger girl. Whining, the dog wagged it's curly, deep brown tail. It was more of a puppy, with soft, pointed ears, and paws to big for it's fuzzy body. The puppy wriggled out from it's hiding place, still making pitiful whines, and rubbed his head against the winged girl's leg. One of it's short legs was crusted with dried blood, and the puppy put no weight on it, licking Maya's ankle and barking weakly.
"Never bring that horrid drink here again." "It tastes of blue, not the river-dwelling reptile, as I had thought."

[[it's okay Cersis's Beard, I don't think you look like a badger. D:]] There was something horrible in there. Sh'Yama's lips curled in a snarl as she focused on making a big hole in the moldy shacks wall. If she had some chalk this would have been easier, just scribble out a little sigil herself. But chalk was for weenies. The best spells were the ones concocted with the blood of your enemies. Too bad she didn't have any of those around. A rectangular slab of the wall started to smoke, and after a few seconds pushed inward with a large puff of dust. Sh'Yama was delighted to find that there wasn't anything blocking her from entering through the wall. She stepped inside, eyes narrowing as her eyes adjusted to the dim light. "Maya?" She asked, and turned slightly to shove the piece of wall she had dislodged and shoving it back into place, just in case someone noticed the gaping hole before she made sure Maya was alright. "What's that whining? Don't tell me it's you." It smelled like a mutt. Yama dusted her hands on her shirt, looking down at them in some surprise. A little singed. She pushed it out of her mind as she approached the familiar outline of butterfly winged Maya, standing against the door. There was a mutt there. She had doubts Mr. Beard was kidnapping puppies too, so she was intermediately certain this was an international shapeshifting super spy. She would keep a close eye on it's adorable, podgy face, waiting for the inevitable. "Do you have any idea why you were kidnapped this time, dear heart?" - - -
Evan looked at Kioko. Now what was this poor young thing doing down here with all of the psychotic murderers? She was familiar... had he met her before? He couldn't remember, and now was not the time to sit and wonder about it. He quickly stood and made his way over to her in what he hoped was inconspicuous. "Oh dear, do be careful!" Evan muttered quickly, who he was speaking too was unclear as he came to a stop next to Kioko, eyes roaming wildly over the "battlefield". He then turned to Kioko and crouched down, his hand hesitatingly coming to rest on her shoulder. "What are you doing out here while this is going on? No place for a young lady... What if you get hurt?" Hurt more, he should say. He remembered crutches. She was a friend of Boris's. Evan looked around nervously at what was going on. Something was buzzing in the back of his mind. It was the angry, cynical voice of Gervaise. Evan was trying very hard to ignore him.

Nylat growled at Cersis's comment about her. If she wasn't hurt already, she'd make him wish his grandparents had never met. There were some things you never said to a hybrid. And that was one of them. She flicked her ears back, and advanced on the relocated, and now pinned, magician, slowly and carefully, her steps placed with care. When she spoke, her voice held on a more dangerous tone, though hushed. Only she could hear. Well, as far as she thought. "Free for seven years. A piece of a collection no more." Little did Cersis know, but he'd hit a soft spot for Nylat. She flicked an ear up at Dravius's comment about killing him, and smiled a bit, a deadly smile. At this point, she was near merciless. "Don't kill him too quickly, now. Torture's the best policy." ((Pff. Was even thinking about Ny's past earlier. And she was part of a collection of hybrids. Pff. Maybe I'll type it up sooner or later. And don't mess with a hybrid. D<))

((LOL! You actually brought the puppy into it. o-o)) Maya had listened quietly at the door, barely able to tell one voice from another, though she know knew that Selvai and Raphael were both definatly there, alongside Disera and Nylat. The thought made the young womans blood run cold. What happened if this magician proved dangerous?... That is... Far further up the scale than kidnap. Sighing, she hiit her head lightly against the door, then stood back and glared at it for a moment. Despite the beings irritated ex pression, the worry for her friends overrode any actual anger. Why did this keep happening?... What the hell was up with this week?... Maya was almost secretely hoping she'd got away earlier. She'd have left, and she wouldn't have had to go through this. She shook her head quickly at the thought, then jumped about a foot in the air when she felt something brush against her leg. Great... Now what... Looking down, the butterfly winged girl had to exercise a lot of will to get her breathing under control, even when she spotted the culprit who had just caused her to jump out of her skin. A... Wait, What?... Puppy... It was hardly believable, considering the situation, and Maya had serious doubts regarding the little creatures existance. For all she knew, this was a magicians trick, set up there for whatever reason. It was Cersis' words earlier that put her at ease. He clearly wanted her here to lure someone else. By rights, she shouldn't really be in any danger until whatever was going on outside was resolved. Inhaling deeply, and somewhat shakily, she pushed herself away from the wall to approach the little brown critter with a wary step, before stroking it once and glancing at it's obviously injured leg. She eventually picked the puppy up, her slender arms crossed over the animals stomach. She nuzzled her cheek on the small creatures head, which proved to be rather soft for an obviously ragged looking thing, and she took a little comfort from it. Nothing quite like a fuzzy little puppy to make someone feel better. Maya had gone back to staring at the door when the movement of the back wall again caught her off guard, so much so she almost dropped the little animal. Pressing herself against the door, she watched the wall warily, her on edge state made no better by the tall approaching shadow. It was only when the woman spoke that Maya realised who it was, and she moved forward slightly. "Yama?" She asked, blinking as the taller being came into view. "But... I thought you... You...Actually... Nevermind," She shifted the puppy in her arms, and frowned. "I don't remember being kidnapped before... And I certainly don't plan on making a habit of it," Her voice, as it had been, was tired and strained, though there was a slight strength there. Probably due to the adrenalin from the constant jolts of fear she was having to endure today. "Thank you," She murmered with a slight, but genuine smile, one that was both relieved and apolgetic. Yama, and anyone else for that matter, shouldn't have to go through all this because of her. Not after everything so far. ~~~ Having watched Dravius and the others in silence, Raphaels ex pression was totally flat. No anger, no nothing, though there was a certain concentration in his eyes. He could tell, by Selvai''s reluctance, that the magician would not, in any way, harm his brother. And that would prove a problem. On top of that, both Nylat and Dravius were in a state of outrage, and were likely to commit another murder, something Raphael could not allow. This had gone on long enough. Everything. The Ring Master had been lax so far. Perhaps that was the problem. As much as he himself wanted desperately to kick the crap out of Cersis, he couldn't afford to act in such a way. It was his job to prevent anything like this. Frowning, the blonde glanced over at the distraught Kioko, now accompanied by Evan, before he looked towards the shed where Maya seemed to be. He let loose a quiet sigh, before glancing back towards the inevitable bloodshed that was the magicians and his older Circus members. "Enough!" He said, his voice loud and terrifyingly dangerous as his eyes narrowed, amking use of the ability he had been born with within mere seconds. He took both the sense of sight and feel away from the people in front of him. Selvai, Cersis, Dravius and Nylat. Effectively, they would now be unable to move, seeing as they had no sense of feeling, and without their eyesight, they were pretty helpless. They probably felt like they were floating in the middle of a bubble of utter darkness. Well. He was an illusionist. Playing with senses was something he excelled at. Naturally, Raphael had left them with their sense of hearing. "That is enough," He repeated, walking over and looking between the four people in front of him. To him and anyone else, they looked normal. Besides, of course, the fact they looked like they weren't there in the head. Which, he supposed, they weren't, in a way. He dropped the illusion on Dravius, Selvai and Nylat, quickly grasping Dravius by the scruff of the neck as he had done so many times before and looking at the younger male with something he rarely expressed to an older member. Anger. "Dravius," He said darkly, ensuring the boy had no clear shot of Cersis. "Control yourself. We are not monsters. Unless of course, you'd like to prove that Blodwen over there correct." He waved a hand in Evans general direction, then sighed, and shoved Dravius in the general direction of the shed. "You have more important things to deal with," He gestured towards the buiding, then levelled a stern gaze on his Co-Master. "You so much as come back in range of these magicians I will take your sight and feeling away from you. Again. Just let them talk. I think, perhaps, Maya needs you more than some misjudging idiot," He glared openly here at Cersis, then pushed Dravius off again. "And clean yourself up. You look like you just escaped a train-wreck, He looked at Nylat "Same to you. Leave it. If Selvai doesn't handle this, I'll deal with it. There are other ways to get people back short of killing them," Raphael sighed, then returned his gaze to Selvai. "Selvai. Talk. He can't really do much without sight and feel, you felt it yourself. But I swear, you don't resolve this now and I am likely to mentally drown this brother of yours," He snorted. "I'm quickly losing my patience with the constant interference of the Majikus," He grumbled as an afterthought, before crossing his arms and glaring at the younger brother. Cersis would be able to cast spells, certainly, but having been stuck in Raphael's realm his spells were limited to that area, or so he hoped. Well. If it came to it, he could always give Cersis the sense of a sluggish mind. He bet it wouldnt be nearly as easy if the brain refused to co-operate.

((Thank you, Grayvs. The Beard appreciates your kindness.)) The white haired girl watched the battle wide-eyed, nerves on edge. She twisted the hem of her shirt nervously, shuddering as Disera began to sink into the earth, only saved by Selvai teleporting the other magician away. He quickly knocked Selvai to the ground, and Kioko bit down on her palm to keep from screaming. She saw Dravius appear and attack Cersis, knocking him to the ground, and the pyro felt her stomach twisting at the Co-Master's growled threat. Squeezing her eyes shut, Kioko whimpered quietly as she clamped her hands over her ears, not wanting to witness the white haired boy taking the magician's life. The girl faintly heard a voice speaking next to her, but didn't move until a hand touched her shoulder. Startled, the pyro flinched slightly, looking up at the goateed man who had spoken to her. It took her a moment to remember him. The nice, slightly strange Mr. Evan who was friends with Spider. When had he gotten there? She shook her head at his questions. "He took my friend," she muttered quietly. Her eyes darted to her crutches lying in the dirt at his second question. "It doesn't matter." Kioko told him in a louder voice. "I-I can protect myself if he tries," she said, lifting one shaky hand to conjure a small flame. "S-see? And Raphael would stop him if he got close to us." The white haired girl pointed to the scene unfolding in front of them as proof. "He's already seperated them. Everything will be okay now," she said in an unsure voice. --------------------- Shaking with rage, Disera stalked toward the small group surrounding the pinned magician, intending to join in the imminent slaughter. Sure, Selvai would be angry about his brother's death. There was the chance he might even end their friendship. But protecting Selvai from his revenge seeking little brother took priority here. She stopped some distance away as the Circus Master stepped forward and shouted at the four. The shifter narrowed her eyes at the sudden change in their faces. Whatever Raphael had done, it seemed to be disorientating all of them. Disera watched carefully as the blonde shoved Dravius away, telling Selvai to speak with his brother. She almost growled at the illusionist, but held her tongue. If he wanted to give Cersis a chance, so be it. She'd be there to rip him apart if things went wrong. Disera shifted into a platypus, smacking her tail hard against the ground as she waddled closer to the two magicians. Let the rat beard try something now. She two elbow spurs full of poison for him to deal with. ------------------- Selvai gasped weakly as the boot was removed from his throat, blinking away the spots that were forming in front of his eyes. Hearing Dravius and Nylat's voices, he tried to speak, to beg them not to harm Cersis, but the effort caused a sharp, tearing pain from his throat. Weakly rolling onto his side, a barrage of pains as.sailed him, and the magician had to stop and breath deeply through his nose before pushing himself into a sitting position with his left arm. "Please," he rasped, the coppery taste of blood in the back of his throat. He was cut off from the rest of his plea when darkness fell over him, and a sense of being disconnected overwhelmed him. Raphael's voice cut through the void, and Selvai simply nodded. As his sight returned, he focused on his brother, who appeared to still be under the Circus Master's power. Cersis lay on the ground where Dravius had pinned him, eyes wide and unseeing. Selvai weakly made his way over to his brother, cradling his right arm. "Cersis," He croaked, settling next to the bearded man. His brother's reply was a snarled curse, followed by a weak, flailing attempt to attack him. The older brother waited for him to pause before continuing. "It's over, Cersis. Please, stop trying to fight with them. Mister Raphael will follow through with his threat if you continue this." "Go to hell! Traitor!" The white haired magician closed his eyes in frustration, grinding his teeth. "This juvenile grudge needs to end, NOW. Yes, I went against the family's rules. I did so fully knowing the consequences if I were found out. And I have accepted my punishment. I've moved past it, Cersis. You need to do the same." "Do you think it's that easy for us?" Cersis hissed at him. "Did you ever consider Helan? How she felt to be the one to tell the family about what you were doing? And to watch you be exiled?" Selvai tensed, lowering his head, although Cersis couldn't see. "I've thought about her constantly. I wish I could have spared her the whole ordeal. But regret isn't going to change what has happened. Neither is your blind rage." "I would say my rage is well-directed," the younger brother replied bitterly. "You attacked and kidnapped an innocent woman, on a base-less as.sumption. Simply to use as bait to lure me to you. Why you believe us to be together, I do not know. I can only as.sume you saw the two of us together at the beach and leapt to conclusions from there." "A small mistake," Cersis snapped, although his voice had lost some of it's sureness. "And it still brought you here." Selvai rubbed at his face with his good hand, suddenly feeling old and tired. "Yes. I came here to find Maya. I also came to keep you from being harmed by your foolishness. There are at least two people here who would willing kill you right now. More back at the Circus grounds who would like to see you greatly injured for this." He sighed, wincing as the action pulled at some of his cuts. "Cersis. It is over. Give your word that you will stop attacking or Raphael will do as he said. I doubt I'll be able to stop him in this condition." The darker haired magician was silent for so long that Selvai believed he simply wouldn't answer. But he finally responded with a quiet, hollow laugh. "I have no choice, do I? Very well. My word, I will no longer attack you." ((There, Maya and Dravvy. I posted. BE HAPPY.))

Dravius had completely tuned out Raphael's shout, and was preparing to sink his fist into the side of Cersis's head again when his senses were shut down. His uninjured eye widened, and he gasped, trying desprately to cut through the black void to see anything. He knew it was Raphael who had done this, as he could still hear his disapproving tone, and sighed, gasping again when he was pulled backwards by the Ringmaster. Dravius narrowed his eyes, adopting a hooded ex pression as he was turned towards the blonde-haired Ringmaster. "I am controlling myself. I didn't kill him yet." He said slowly, turning his head to spit out a large quantity of blood, sticking out his shortened tongue, dripping heavily red at the severed end. "Fine." Dravius spat in response to Raphael's threats, stepping away from him. The boy had a face nearly as stormy as his older friend's. "And I can't fix my tongue, until it stops bleeding on it's own," He growled, wiping his face with a block cloth, scrubbing at his lips and chin, although streaks of faint red remained. Dravius grunted, nodding sharply as he walked in a wide circle around the incapacitated magician, growling at him as he pa.ssed. Huh. Dravius hadn't noticed Yama come down, mostly due to the lack of ripping limbs off or screams of agony. Shrugging, he walked up behind her and slipped around her, his lips shut tight. "Are you alright?" He asked quietly, hovering next to Sh'Yama. "Is.....that a puppy?" He asked, a confused look coming over his face, as he cocked his head to the side. "Are you hurt?" Dravius asked, his hands in his pockets. His red shirt was flecked with darker spots, and he had neglected to scrub any gore off of his neck, and the thin shoulder that the shirt had slipped off of. The Co-Master's black and white hair was more black and a coffee colour, and his entire body was tense, his shoulders hunched. Dravius had missed a smear of red under his bad eye, that had somehow gotten all the way from the outer corner of his eye to the side of his nose. All in all, he looked rather devensive, managing to look absurdly worried while looking as if he didn't want an answer to his concerned questions. ------------------------- The dog made a sound similar to a soft scream at the sight of the tall, evil-smelling woman destroy a wall of the ramshackle house, and tried desprately to hide itself in the much-nicer smelling girl's slender embrace. He also yelped loudly when the even-more-frightening man, who stank of ripped flesh and other horrifying things. To make matters worse, the male was so coiled, it seemed that he would lunge at him at any second. The puppy buried his head in Maya's hair, it's small chest inflating and deflating more rapidly than it should be. His tiny heart was nearly thudding through the fluffy fur on his underside, a shade lighter than the rest of the dog. It continued making pathetic noises, draping the front part of his torso on Maya's shoulder. The dog did not like these people at all, but the woman smelled of magic as well, and the puppy gathered a small amount of courage and let out a squeaky bark at Yama, growling briefly at her before turning away and trying to burrow into Maya's golden hair.
"Never bring that horrid drink here again." "It tastes of blue, not the river-dwelling reptile, as I had thought."

Raphael watched Dravius leave with a barely supressed sigh. He knew full well how that kid felt, but it really wasn't worth risking it. Despite the fact the Co-Master had said he wasn't out of control, Raphael refused to allow things to get that far. Seperating him from Cersis was the best option, shortly followed of course by meeting with Maya. That girl was known for her calming nature, and Dravius seemed to be no exception. Besides, the Ring-Master caught Dravius's statement regarding the girl, though he'd chosen delibrately not to question it. Whatever. He needed to ensure Maya's safety too though, and Dravius was probably the best one to send. Raphael only paid scant attention to what Selvai was saying, though turned his attention back to the two brothers when Cersis spoke. At the younger males words, the tall blonde glanced at Selvai, then dropped the final illusion he had been holding, being sure to keep his steely gaze set on Cersis. Just one wrong move and that guy would go flying off a cliff. Not a real one, obviously, but one real enough to kill. Or just mentally damage, either way. Both sounded useful at the moment. He looked at Selvai. "I sincerely hope you'll explain all this to me later. And you-" He growled, glaring at Cersis. "Do not involve my Circus members in your petty grudges again. I can do far worse than take your eyesight and I would be more than willing should you cross the line I just drew out for you," Still growling somewhat, Raphael sighed, then turned and walked back to Kioko, accompanied by Evan. "I think Maya's alright," He murmered quietly. "Would you like me to take you back?... I think it's about time the Circus moved on. This place is turning out to be a nightmare," He smiled wistfully. "Better luck next time, hm?" ~~~ Despite the fact that Yama was there, Maya still felt very much on edge, her concern for the wellfare of those outside and the whole thing in general making her shake slightly. "You came back?" She smiled sadly. "I was pretty sure you wanted rid of this place, I'm surprised to see you... But glad," She said in Yama's direction, a small smile on her face. She struggled somewhat to hold the injured animal, partly due to her present weakness, and partly because her injured hand was still stinging, the blood still flowing slightly as she sighed. It really didnt help when the brown fuzz-ball started squirming with Yama's appearance, May shifting her arms to try accomodate the moving creature. While the animal wasn't exactly large, it's squirmy movements weren't easy to keep track of. With Dravius's appearance, Maya's attention focused on him. "No," She grumbled sarcastically, "It's a parrot," She frowned, wincing as she accidentally brought her gashed hand to brush against the still moving puppy, angling her neck as the animl tried to bury itself in her hair. "And no... I'm fine... Mostly," She murmered, blinking at the Co-Master, whose tense state was blaringly obvious. "Stupid thing to ask me... Have you seen yourself lately?... What the hell did you do?" She asked, her own look of concern mirroring Dravius's, slowly moving over to stand by him. Even his current appearance meant nothing to girl, not as long as he was okay, anyway. Besides. She was used to this by now. She almost had to be. Shifting her arm so that the little puppy was caught in the crook of her elbow, she looped the other around Dravius's tensed neck and shoulders, placing her chin lightly on a shoulder, her hand resting on the back of his neck. "Thank you... And sorry," She murmered, pressing her cheek against the tall males jaw. "I'm turning into a bit of a walking disaster, huh?"

[[I should post but for some reason I am distracted. buh finals and LP's. hopefully post soon. edit: I might be missing something here. i was under the impression Maya was still in the shed and so was Yama so... yeah. *shurg*]] "Kidnapped, hara.ssed, same difference." Sh'Yama said, hand waving in the air as if it were of little importance. Her ex pression of uncare turned to a bitter frown. "Indeed, I would not be here. But someone was causing my brother distress. Someones, I should say. They may or may not live to see tomorrow, if I may be Frank." She huffed irritably, and then almost ripped Dravius's head off as he snuck past her. "How the bloody Shaman did you get in here?" She hissed, turning wildly too look at the walls around her. And why hadn't he exploded?
She turned around again with an enormous sigh of disappointment that he had not exploded and this Bearded Woman really WAS terrible at defensive sigils. Which brought up an amazing question, was it truly her own fault she burned her hands? "Ugh," Yama said, and then stared down at the very annoying fluffy beast in Maya's arms, that had had the audacity to growl at her. She returned the favor, tenfold. And finished it with a warning. "You, hush your yap before I fillet you."
"Glad? Don't be glad. Ugh. I hate that." She gave Dravius a disapproving glance. He was probably doing something stupid. At this point Yama was almost certain that Spider had more brains than Dravius, and Spider was... well. "Mrrrghhhh." Yama said, and turned toward her makeshift door. "Yes, yes, be all "googoo" and "bleh" when we've got on out of here? Priorities." She threw her door open and peeked outside. This was ridiculous and she wanted a cup of coffee.
It still smelled like magic out here... best take precautions anyway, lest the place go off like a pipe bomb. - - -
"Already proven correct, Dear." Evan muttered under his breath. This was quickly followed with "Shush, please, Gervaise." As he pushed his spectacles back up his nose. He looked at Kioko in concern. This was still no place for a young lady. "I heard. Err. Maya? Pity, but we haven't met." It was hard to tell if he were being serious or sarcastic, considering his voice seemed to be completely devoid of all emotion. "Well, you should not have to." Evan said, looking at the small flame. That was an ability that could wildly get out of control very fast. He should know. A few of his relatives were pyromaniacs (in the sense that they lit anything and everything on fire, nothing to do with the supernatural.).
Evan sighed, watching Raphael put on his big boy boots and go to work smacking some sense into things. Evangelos was surprised. Raphael was already listed under a certain category in his notebook... perhaps he could redeem himself. Evan wasn't sure he remembered what it was Raphael did to get in that category, but he distinctly remembered him being vastly incompetent. And juvenile. "Attracts enemies, as Mr. Raphael said. Though I'd argue why." But he wouldn't argue why because it would result in him being defenestrated.
So instead he listened to the exchange. Well, the boy was lucky he wasn't a Blodwen. They were still trying to string Carly up for his betrayal to the family (though what it was he did that was against their already warped rules was debatable). The last attempt they made to have him punished, if Evan remembered correctly, he'd been dismembered. But since he was so fond of black magic, the man righted himself quick enough.
He was harder to kill than You-Know-Who at this point. Maybe this silly family should hear a good scolding from someone who'd had family members burned at the stake for such things. The memory sent waves of sadness through Evan, though he was almost certain he hadn't been around for the witch trials. Exile. Evan was pretty sure he had that for some reason or another. Probably something about his aversion to Immortality and using human subjects to create all powerful bat men or something.
Evan helped Kioko up, giving Raphael a slight look. "'Turning out to be'?" He murmured, and quickly followed that with a hurried apology. Remember your notes, you silly man! Evan cleared his throat and stepped away from them both, hand going to his pocketwatch. "Good afternoon then, I aught to really be... leaving this place forever, and such. Oh look, there's Yama." - - -
"Road trip, wooo!" And Zinc and Spider were never seen again.

Nylat gave a slight start at the sudden nothingness that was Raphael's illusion, and when she was released from it, growled. She even shot a glare at Raphael, something she'd never done before. She doubted he'd even let her maim the guy. He deserved as much. Maybe she'd hunt him down on her own time. With a sniff and a flick of her tail, she turned, rather annoyed, following Dravius. Her limp was worse, due to lack of rest, but she ignored it, making her way to stand by Maya, flicking her tail as she brushed againt her friend. "You are not leaving my sight again. Ever. It seemes like when I turn away for an hour, all hell breaks loose." Despite her serious tone, hinted with the annoyance that remained, she was obviously relieved, and she seemed to finally notice the puppy. She flicked her ears back, sniffing in it's direction. "And when have you had the chance to pick up a stray?" ((*looks at huge posts* FAIL.))

"A....parrot? Well then, it certainly does a very good dog impression," Dravius siad with equal sarcasm, shoving his hands even farther into his black pockets. "I'm really not sure you should be holding that. From the state of it, it's most likely covered in tick and fleas," He said quietly, poking the puppy's side with a long finger. "It's not a stupid thing to ask, I'm worried about you." The Co-Master sighed, shrugging his shoulders. "And I haven't done anything. I hurt myself when I was buried," He said simply, shuffiing slightly backwards to match about half the distance Maya had moved. "And you really shouldn't be thanking me, either. Thank Yama, or Raphael, or Selvai. I didn't do much," The boy's muscles didn't relax a bit when Maya came into contact with him, instead seeming to manage to find a few more muscles in his upper body to coil further. Dravius's skin was even colder than usual, and every so often a shive would run through a bit of him, making it seem like he was a bit....unbalanced. "Not anymore than me," He said, with a twist of sadness snaking through the sentence, before stepped back a bit and looking down at Maya. "Yama's right. We should leave. I believe Selvai's brother has agreed not to try and hurt anyone else." Pausing, he bent to look at the puppy, leaning back when it snapped at his nose, then picking it up by the scruff of it's neck. "Might as well take this thing back, too." He said, watching it wriggle in his hand. Dravius seemed to want to touch as little of the animal as possible, gently setting it back into Maya's arms, before turning and striding quickly back outside and around front. Picking up a stick, Dravius sat back on his haunches, picked up a long stick in one hand, and proceeded to repeatedly poke Cersis in the side of the face with it, dropping the branch, and then spitting, "Beast," at the magician, before standing up and walking away, coming to a stop to stand behind Raphael's shoulder, hands back in his pockets. "Maya's fine. She's also managed to find an injured puppy." He sighed slightly, looking at Kioko, then moving around Raphael to ask, "Are you alright? You're shaking as badly as Maya was." ---------------------- Oh my god.........the nice girl was moving closer to that strange man, even putting an arm around him. The puppy decided to just go limp, hoping against all hope that that boy wouldn't....oh my gosh, he was coming closer. Growling, the dog snapped at the man, dissapointed when he pulled back. This was mad. It was also crazy. The one that smelled of blood had picked him up, and seemed to be examining him, before just setting him down and walking away. What was that?! This woman obviously liked the other one, stupid and nasty-smelling as he was, why did the man just walk away? That wasn't very nice. My gosh. What was that. It smelled of so many different things, the dog sat there stunned, stareing quite rudly at the brown creature in front of him. Finally he looked away, and yipped nervously. Adjusting himself in the nice woman's arms, the dog wagged his tail weakly at the one who smelled like a mixture of sheep wool, anger, and magic, grinning apologetically. Maybe if he was nice, she wouldn't kill him. ((Pff. I love how Maya's so obvious, a puppy could notice it. And yet Dravvy still isn't very adjusted to it. What a moron.))

((Pfft. Dravius, you loser. xD)) Maya had watched Dravius leave with a slight frown, her ex pression concerned at hearing the note in his voice. She had no idea what had happened outside the shed, and as.sumed something out there may well have got him as riled up as he was. Not that she could find out. If he kept walking off like that, she wouldn't be able to talk to him. Saying that, perhaps he didn't want to talk. She wouldn't blame him, really. Or maybe it was her. Perhaps she did something wrong. "Things do seem to happen to me a lot, don't they?" She murmered quietlly, smiling slightly at Nylat. "And he was in here," Sighing, she looked at the little brown animal in her arms, wagging his tail at Yama, before shifting him again and looking at the door. "Alright," She said in response to Yama's words, gently setting the puppy on the floor before making her way to the door and outside. She looked over her shoulder to check if the little animal was following, then glanced only fleetingly at Cersis, and quickly made her way towards where Raphael and the others stood. ~~~ Glancing over his shoulder, Raphael raised an eyebrow at Dravius. "Oh?" He murmered in response, "And you just left her there?" He asked, frowning in the direction of the shed. Naturally, he hadn't seen Yama show up. He didn't really react much to the news about the puppy, and instead just looked at Dravius. Poor kid was turning out to be as stressed as the rest of them. "Uh-hu... Well. 'm guessing you wouldn't mind to moving the Circus, hm?... I think we should cut this... Vacation... Short," He grumped, sighing, and then looking back at Kioko."The quicker we get out of here, the better," He glanced back towards the shed, in time to see Maya approach, looking no worse for her ordeal, though she still seemed to be shaking and somewhat off-balance. He smiled in a strained sort of way. "Alright?" She returned his question with a fleeting smile, then turned to look at the stressing Kioko and the man she didn't know. She was much too tired to say anything, eventually looking at the ground and crossing her cut hand behind her back as Raphael sighed, and glared for a moment at Cersis. "Alright. I think it's about time we got back," ((Ugh. Braindeadedness. Nnn. o-o))

Nylat nodded. "Too much for me to leave you alone anymore. Be careful--too many more incidents and you may end up having me glued to you." She flicked her tail, and looked up at the puppy, clearing her throat before speaking to it, sounding like yips, growls, and barks to anyone else. "And who are you, little one? Most strays live in the city. To find one this far out..." She flicked her ears, thinking. Well, finding a stray pup this far out was not common. However, full grown hybrids...She snickered before catching herself. She had no idea who that hybrid was and he'd never stayed more than a few moments. She silently vowed to take him to Raphael next time she saw him. It was best for the Ringmaster to at least know about Zyano. And Nylat herself wanted to make sure she wasn't hallucinating. Well, Tara and Selvai had seen him. She shrugged. She still needed to let Raphael know. ~~ Tara, meanwhile, had pratically locked herself up in her van, eyes focused on the laptop screen in front of her. She'd spent all day trying to crack this code, and she was tired of it. Maybe she'd go out and spend some time in the sun. She was letting herself get too worked up over this. She was typing rapidly when a sudden jolt of pain shot up her right arm. She bit back a yelp as she clutched it to her. She'd grown used to not having to deal with the pain, and now it chose to come back? How convienient. She waited until the pain subsided before glaring at the computer and practically slamming the laptop shut. With a sigh, she stood, stretched, and left the van. Sitting on the steps outside, she looked around for someone to talk to, or something to do. ~~ Kanec wheeled around, watching the ground below with an odd curiosity. He wasn't ale to spot anyone, and it was making him nervous. Well, he could see Tara down below, but most of the older members seemed to have just disappeared, along with some of the newer members. He beat his wings, shifting into a bald eagle, screeching loudly as he wheeled again, now scouring the city with sharp eyesight.
