[[Re...removing the character limit? You know... I'm one of those people, that left unchecked, will have fifty billion characters. So. Uh. Do you guys like angsty zombies? (but actually we probably need more girls soo.. probably no zombie.) also whoooaa I'm so out of it. I'm gonna a.ssume the only character interacting with any of mine is still just Cersis.]] He doubted she could sneak up on a magic user? Yama might have laughed, if she thought she'd be able to control it and not embarra.ssed this poor, silly bearded man. "Hm. Yes. Spider Witch. So you count yourself lucky then, hmm? And trust me dear, they've tried to take care of him. He's practically gone through the whole Rasputin thing. I wonder what Deaths problem is." Yama eyed Cersis blandly, a faint little smirk on her lips, in reaction to his critical gaze. "Yeti is close." She said. "A creature of Native American "legend". A wendigo. Frankly, I don't really support his decision. But there you have it." She parted her hands and then paced a few steps back and forth, before standing in front of Cersis again. Her lips twitched. "Yes yes, I am well aware that people watch it!" She said, waving her hand impatiently. "Are you saying YOU found him, by yourself, with that information, or that someone told you how to sneak your way in here? We've had... issues with our security." She was very good at pretending that she knew about their security, and how they upheld it. "You're not the only fool to come prancing through here with a bad idea in his brain. And most of them were not as noble and proud as your small little clan seems. And there is no way they could have found this place on their own. So I'm just wondering, where are they getting this information?" Spider finally stood up and walked over, in the timid "please don't throw something at me" way that Spider used when approaching strangers, people he knew, and anything else that might harm him. He sidled up behind Yama, taking care to keep himself from being in full view of the horrible kidnapper. "Yama, he's going to bleed to death if you keep talking his ear off." Spider doubted she'd think that was a bad idea, but it helped to get her attention. "And I need to talk to you! Something happened to Zinc!" he blurted, tugging on Yama's shirt. "I'm busy, Spider. We can talk about... what happened to Zinc?" Yama was about to slap Spiders grubby hands away. Not that she cared what could have happened to Zinc... but what could have happened to him? Spider certainly sounded a little distressed. "He... he disappeared! There was a loud noise and..." Spider made a small noise, and kind of shrugged. He wasn't sure how to describe it. Sh'Yama looked a little alarmed. "Banished?!" She grumbled, and turned immediately to Cersis. "Answer my question!" She said, with all the calm a wendigo could have. There was a annoying whining from behind her, and she was made aware of not one, but two sniveling Blodwen's behind her. "Oh... you know... i-it's gettin' quite dark." Evan said. "Yeah." Spider agreed. They both looked at Yama's back. She ignored them.

No more magical creature thingies either. >.< This was supposed to be humans only but we kinda already went over that restriction. xD))

Keeping his eyes on Kioko as she spoke, Raphael raised an eyebrow slightly at her explanation, though it wasn't really what he'd call an explanation. More of a very quick run-down, and the little pyro's blushing features explained she was probably avoiding going into detail. He smiled slightly, chewing another strawberry before pausing to throw a questioning glance at the girl as she left. Dravius liked Maya?... The Ring Master blinked, leaning forward and resting his elbows on his knees, the small bowl of strawberries forgotten at his side. That wasn't what he remembered being told, not by Dravius at any rate. Perhaps whatever had happened had made the Co-Master realise something?... Well, that's all Raphael could as.sume, anyway. Inhaling through his nose, the blonde illusionist leaned back on his hands, watching Kioko and Maya in the distance, as well as Nylat, who seemed to have shown up at some earlier point. He noted, fleetingly, that many of the other Circus members who had previously been enjoying themselves we're now looking slightly put out as they started moving things around. Well, seems Julian had accomplished his task. He had little time to comtemplate anything further when another, rather unexpected voice caused him to turn his head a little too quickly. "Ow," He grimaced, rubbing the side of his neck as he looked over his shoulder. The woman who stood with her arms crossed was looking at him with something close to amusement. Raphael snorted quietly. "Karene," He greeted, hand still against the side of his neck. "Nice to see you again," He paused, then raised an eyebrow. "You certainly took your time," "I would have been here sooner had you not moved the Circus all the way out here. What in heaven's name are you doing on the beach anyway?" The woman retorted, her green eyes curious as she looked over the vans. "I doubt anyone would travel all this way just to see the Circus," "Actually, it's a vacation. Or, well. It was supposed to be. Didn't quite turn out that way though," The Ring-Master sighed, then sat himself back on the blanket as Karene came to stand by him, her gaze confused as the male raised a hand. "I'll explain later, right now. I kinda want to just. Do nothing," He flopped onto his back. "We really could have done with you being here a few days ago," He murmered. "... That bad?" "Bad enough," Raphael yawned, then pulled himself back into a sitting position, again leaning back on his hands as he turned his eyes skyward. "Nevermind. It's all past. I just hope we have nothing else to deal with until we leave," Leaning forward slightly, the blonde ran a hand over his forehead, before he looked back towards the caramel-haired woman. "And what about you?... You've been absent almost a month," "Ah. You know me. I like my freedom," Karene winked at him, then laughed. "No. I paid a visit to my home town, the usual," She shrugged, then set her steely gaze on Raphael. "I was only there 2 week though, the rest of the time, I was trying to find this place. I managed to follow you up until about 5 days ago, when you suddenly dissapeared off the map. No towns seemed to be expecting the Majikus' arrival, at any rate. I had to use my senses at that point," "It's not really a hard thing to do," "It is when no-one knows where the next show is taking place because the Ring-Master decided he wanted a vacation," Karene snorted, as she glanced off towards the beach for a moment before pulling her gaze back to Raphael. "... Are you going to tell me why?... Seems pretty short notice going by the Circus's last performance dates," "I said later, right now-" "Raphael. If your not going anywhere "right now" you may as well tell me. If not, I can ask Dravius. I'm sure he could clear things up," Karene's gaze was stubborn, and it was pretty obvious she wasn't going to drop the subject. Well, go figure. She'd just roughed out the last couple of weeks looking for this place, she deserved some sort of explanation for her trouble. Raphael frowned slightly, then sighed, resting an elbow on his knee and placing his chin on his palm. "... Dravius wouldn't be much help, some of the time he was... Well, not aware..." The blonde looked towards the beach, his face thoughtful, before he sighed again quietly and closed his eyes. "Alright. Fine. You might want to sit down, this could take a while," ~~~ Maya had her eyes skyward, watching the few sparse clouds as she tried to pinpoint how long she'd have to sit out here on the shore before sunset. A couple of hours or so maybe, at least. That's how long she estimated, anyway. Not that she'd have any problem with sitting here for two hours; The weather was pleasantly warm, and the now bustling Circus meant she didn't feel quite so isolated, which was good, all things considered. The puppy's existance also seemed to make things marginally more bearable. The little animal was absoluotely adorable, and the butterfly couldn't help but feel that at the moment, the puppy was providing enough comfort to prevent herself from hiding someplace. Permanently. He was, pretty much, just giving her something else to focus on, rather than whatever crap had happened to her already this week. With a sigh, she looked at the animal as he attempted to get his bearings, a small smile tugging at her lips as she caught a small movement in the corner of her eye. The girl eventually pulled her gaze away to watch just as Nylat flopped onto the sand beside her, rolling her eyes at the hybrid half-heartedly. "I don't ask for this, you know... Things just seem to happen to me. Or, at least... They have been doing this week," Maya glanced at the hybrid's injured paw, before looking back at Nylat with a small, concerned frown. "Besides. I'm not the only one with injuries," Sighing, the young blonde turned her eyes to the ocean, her ex pression still very much subdued. Not a new thing, really. This past week, it almost seemed weird to see Maya actually smile, or even act like herself. No surprise. Before she could mope further however, another, softer voice spoke, and the butterfly-winged teen glanced up to see Kioko, looking a little flustered. "I'm... Okay, I suppose. There's only a certain amount of okay I can be, though," She replied, smiling slightly. "... What about you?" The girl asked, turning her gaze away and gently lifting the now empty blankets from her lap, placing them beside her on the sand. Her vision caught Sid's movements, and she eventually fell to watching him as he investigated a little white crab. Maya had actually turned her gaze back to the pyro when a yelp caught her attention, and her gaze once again fell on the little brown animal. With a quiet, and rather amused, snort, the blonde gently pulled the crustacean off the dog's nose, letting it loose some distance away from Sid and watching it scuttle back towards the ocean. It was uncanny, just how much this animal reminded her of Dravius, what with it's personality. Even the cuteness seemed to link in some peculiar way. Sure, Dravius was cute when he wanted to be, in personality and looks, once you got past the scars of course. Perhaps not quite the same sort of cute as Sid, exactly, but cute all the same. Reaching forward, Maya gently pulled Sid back into her lap, and started softly scratching him behind the ears as she glanced skyward again. "I wonder how long it'll be before we see another place like this," She murmered quietly, silently appreciating the ever present beauty of the surrounding area. It was almost unfair, how despite the things that had taken place this vacation, the scenery remained completely unchaged. Completely unaffected. If only she was able to say the same for herself. Maybe things wouldn't hurt so much.

Cersis glared at her smirk. "Obviously, the Blodwen family needs to find another approach, if none of their attempts have worked so far. Perhaps removing his spirit from his body and binding it. Not that I particularly care." He retorted. "And to be honest, the man seems to be a fool, performing such experiments. Especially with the subjects he chooses." Light headedness swept over him, and the magician closed his eyes for a moment, sliding them open again when Yama continued speaking. He considered simply refusing to answer her questions- it wasn't as though he owed her an explanation of how he managed to find and infiltrate the Majikus- but based on Sh'Yama's reputation and genetics the magician believed that would have been a bad idea. Instead, Cersis grimaced, but replied unhappily. "I may have," he began slowly "sought out and found another magic user who was familar with the Majikus. And been informed by them of your location and the fact that your defenses are currently weak against magic. As to how they gathered this information, I can't help you. You would need to find and interrogate them to learn that." The dark haired magician eyed the white haired, gangly creature that approached Sh'Yama. Another of Laurence's creations, from what he could tell. This was most likely the "brother" she had mentioned earlier. Not nearly as powerful as Sh'Yama, if the timid nature were anything to go by. He watched their conversation blandly, only taking interest when Sh'Yama mentioned the word "banished". "Banishment, hmm? Why would this Zinc person need to be banished?" Cersis watched the small group intently as he spoke. "Another dark magic user? Or is he following in Laurence's footsteps?" -------------- The striped haired magician took a deep breath, exhaling through his teeth as the broken bone was set. Even with the painkiller, it was still an unpleasent experience. "I was not ignoring it," Selvai informed the white haired boy. "I simply planned to attempt a healing spell myself before bothering anyone else." He carefully placed the now bandaged arm in the sling, ignoring Dravius' "Sera" comment. "I admit, I was not around to witness most of it, but Cersis seems to have taken my exilement worse than the rest of the family. I believe that may have influenced his actions somewhat." He took the pills the boy offered, tucking them into a pocket of his shirt. "I'll be sure to pas.s on the message to her." "That's a bad habit to have," Disera commented. She pulled her tails around to the front, curled them in her lap. "You think he doesn't like the smell of magic? Weird. I've never noticed anything bad about it." She tilted her head to one side. "I don't think I touched the walls. Did I?" The shifter lifted the tips of her tails, inspecting them for any dark smudges. Disera watched fascinated, and a bit creeped out, as Dravius produced a bowl of fruit from somewhere in the wall of his van and began to eat the skin off each piece of fruit. "Um. Dravius? You okay?" she asked, poking the white haired boy in the leg with one finger. Selvai stood up from the chair, gesturing to Disera. "I should find Kioko and give this medicine to her. Let's give Dravius some privacy, shall we?" He nodded to the co-master as he walked to the van door. "Thank you for your help, Dravius. I greatly appreciate it." "Yeah, thanks." Disera followed the magician out the door, pausing as she stepped off the last step. Her skin tingled slightly, and she stiffened. A new magic user. Or... an old one, actually. "Uh. Isn't that Kioko, down on the beach there?" she asked, pointing at the pyro, who appeared to be speaking with Maya. "So it is. Let's go," Selvai began to walk down to the beach, before Disera spoke again. "I was thinking about going for a walk, myself," she interrupted. "You can do this on your own, right?" He raised an eyebrow at her. "Of course. Enjoy your walk." "I will, don't worry." Disera strode away, pas.sing by random circus members as they packed things away. The shifter finally came upon the fields beside the beach, which were littered with picnic blankets and forgotten food. The only people around were Raphael and a dark haired woman, and Disera hesitated for a moment before approaching the pair. "Oy. Hey there, Raphael." She smiled nervously at the other person. "And Karene. It's been awhile, eh?" -------------- "I'm glad," Kioko lowered herself to the ground, setting the crutches beside her. She giggled abit at the puppy's confrontation with the crab, smiling as Maya seperated the two and released the crab. "And I'm doing fine, I guess." "That's good to hear," Selvai responded from behind the pair, laughing quietly as Kioko jumped in surprise. "Here." The magician fished the pills out of his pocket, handing them to the pyro. "Dravius asked that I give these to you. He also said to relay the message that you should be in bed resting, or face the consequences when he sees you next," he told her with a small smile. The white haired girl pouted for a moment, before sticking out her tongue. "I'll go to bed after I'm done talking to Maya. And Dravius doesn't scare me." Selvai laughed again, shaking his head slightly. "As you wish. Just let it be noted that I did warn you."
"I WISH THAT PUNCTUATION HAD A PHYSICAL FORM SO I COULD SMOTHER YOU WITH IT."

((Pff. Ny broke the humans only rule at the very start of the first thread. xD)) Nylat sniffed stubbornly, rolling onto her stomach, her injured leg held a little ways from her. "This is of my own doing. You manage to get hurt by other people's doing. And Raphael never lets me kill them, either." She pouted at this, flicking her tail. At Kioko's arrival, she grinned at the pyro. "Hey there, firefly. How are you?" As Selvai joined them, she flicked her ears. "Jeez, Maya, you seem to attract everyone to you like flies to honey." She stood and walked over to Sid, sitting down near the puppy. "So, pup, how'd you get hurt, again? I have rather bad memory."
"You're off the edge of the map, mate. Here there be monsters."

"Mmm?" Davius jumped slightly as Disera prodded him, looking up through a curtain of black-and-white hair and saying, "Uh? I'm fine. Why?" He settled himself further on the bed, watching Selvai stand. The boy had his legs crossed, with the bowl of fruit balanced on one sharp knee. "No problem. 'Bye," He waved a hand, more just lifting it up than moving it back and forth. "Go sleep, Selvai." He called after, setting the bowl of fruit to the side and sliding onto the floor. Getting to his bare feet, Dravius crossed the room and pushed the door closed, shutting out most of the light from the van with a loud snap. Frowning, he crossed to the shrouded windows and, hooking long fingers into the wood on either side of the muted light, dragged long planks across it with a final thud, turning the van almost completely black. The Co-Master blinked rapidly, waiting for his eyes to adjust before pulling a box of matches from his pocket and lighting a set of four candles in a glas.s mason jar. The sides of the jar were already streaked with once-melted wax, and the flames burned a slight grey, flickering light throwing deep shadows on the floor and walls of the van. He sighed, watching the flames dim momentarily, then flare brighter, all four seprate lights crossing each other. Taking a charcoal-covered piece of paper, he held it by a corner and dipped the other into the flame, staring past the burning drawing. He could see the flames as if they were still in front of his eyes. Shaking his head, Dravius noticed that the paper was burning his fingers, and tamped it out with the tips of his now-reddened fingers. Brushing his hair back from his face, the Co-Master stuck the tip of his burnt finger in his mouth, standing to exstinguish the candles. He absent-mindedly walked to the door and exited, leaving the candles smoking faintly behind him, locking the dark, scratched door behind and heading down to the beach, taking his fingers from his mouth to walk up behind Kioko and catch the tail end of her sentence. "Not afraid of me, uh?" He leaned over Kioko, stretching his long torso to being his thin face into the young girl's view. "Well then." He walked over to Maya and sat next to her, watching Sid, raising an eyebrow at the fact that the small dog seemed to be trying to eat sand. His fingers were bright red, and he put them back into his mouth, biting down gently on the tips of them. He gently leaned against Maya, setting the side of his face against the girl's, staring into the ocean. ---------------- Sid had indeed taken a mouthful of sand, curious as to if it tasted as sandy as it smelled. It did. Spitting it out with a howl, Sid scampered to The One Who Smelt Of Firewood, and gently headbutted the female, as.serting his dominance over her in whateverpack he was in now. Barking, he trotted over to The Stinking One, contemplating licking his hand, decided against it, then noticed Striped-Pelt had arrived, comepletely unsummoned, and growled, stalking stiff-legged backwards and barking rather loudly at the two.
"Never bring that horrid drink here again." "It tastes of blue, not the river-dwelling reptile, as I had thought."

It didn't take too long for Raphael to pretty much skim the events of the last week or so, and the young womans face remained more or less impas.sive as he spoke. Karene did, however, raise her eyebrows towards the end of Raphael's explanation. "Oh. Jeez, I missed one hell of a week, huh," She replied, frowning deeply. She was sat beside the Rng-Master on the blanket, rubbing one finger over her lips. "That's some freaking luck you had. Poor Maya, and Dravius too... Not to mention everyone else... Sheesh," Sighing, the woman leaned forward slightly, placing the fingers of each hand over her eyes. "I suppose... It's nice to know Dravius has got himself up and about... Last I heard he was still locked in his van... But, really," Dropping her hands, Karene bit her lip, then shrugged and stood. She felt annoyed at the fact she hadn;t been present. No doubt her abilities would have helped, though of course, there were others in the Circus with protective abilities. Though none of them were magic based. There'd also been a certain nag when Raphael had first mentioned the name Cersis, and it showed clearly on her face as she glared holes in the blanket. "Cersis... Cersis... I know that name..." "You do?" Raphael looked up sharply from where he sat. "I pray your not involved with him," "No... I'd know who he was if I had been... No, it's just... Familiar, can't quite place my finger on-" At that moment, another voice caused the brown haired woman to lift her eyes, Raphael following her gaze to look over his shoulder. "Oh... Hello, Disera," The male smiled, noting the blue shifters direction. " I take it you took Selvai to Dravius, hm?" He asked, turning his tall body so that his back was pressed lightly against the neary tree. Karene, meanwhile, was looking at Disera with an obvious element of surprise and some sort of realsiation. "Ah... Now I remember," She murmered, crossing her arms, eyes narrowing as she raised an eyebrow at the shifter. "Not all that long," She responded with a slight smile, Raphael looking between the two with a curious face. "You... Know eachother?" He asked. "Sorta... It was... A three day meeting... Or some such thing. Actually, funny you should have just told me that story. This, Cersis, you spoke of. I've met him already, not one meeting I'd care to relive, but hey," She laughed. "Funny set of cirumstances," She looked back at Disera. "What exactly are you doing here, anyway?... Last I knew you went off to find that Summoner of yours," ~~~ Yawning, Maya pulled herself out of her own thoughts and stretched her arms above her head, before pulling her hair away from her shoulders so that it all ran down her back, leaving her shoulders bare from the front. She had been about to respond to Kioko when Selvai got there first, and she looked over her shoulder, smiling at him. The puppy, whom seemed to have got bored of being scratched, was now trying to make a meal out of sand grains. "If Dravius suggested you sleep, Kioko. You should follow his advice... Despite the way he is, his advice uusually counts for something, specifically if it's medical," She added, smiling slightly before looking back over the ocean. The girl eventually turned her attention back to Nylat, blinking at the hybrid's words and pouting. "Of course Raphael doesn't let you kill them... You know how he feels about that... And... Uh... I'm not sure whether that's a compliment or..." She tilted her head, then sighed and went back to watching Sid, just another voice caused her to turn her head. Perhaps Nylat's statement was turning out more true than she'd thought. Watching him sit silently beside her, she noted absently the state of his fingers, before she frowned and looked at the water. Naturally, her own body responded to him when he leaned against her by snuggling closer to him. Pretty much just to prevent herself being pushed over one way. "Hm,. Stop chewing your fingers," She murmered, using a hand to try and pry Dravius's fingers away from his mouth. "What did you do this time?" She asked, looking at his fingers before pulling her face away from his so that she could look up at him, a small, concerned smile on her face.

Nylat shook her head. "I know, but it would make more sense to let us...dispose...of troublemakers. And I'm not sure if its a compliment either. Anyways, you and I need to talk later. Not now. Too many people." At Dravius's approach, she looked at him, catching the smell of burned skin. She sniffed disdainfully, staring icily at Dravius for no reason. She just needed someone to stare icily at. "And how exactly did you burn yourself?" With a yawn, she settled back down on the sand, watching Sid with an amused smile. "Watch it, pup. Don't eat the yellow sand." She flicked her tail, watching the puppy, her leg extended awkwardly. She glanced at the sky and saw Kanec circle once and spiral downwards. Sighing, she returned her attention back to the small group. ~~ Kanec, finally spotting the older members back in the Circus, wheeled once more, and spiraled a second, before diving, pulling up just infront of Raphael. As he landed, he furled his wings, inclining his head to Disera, and then Karene. "So someone decided to finally return, hm?" He turned to Raphael, shifting into his usual white tiger form and sitting down. "So, where was everyone? I was looking for you guys earlier, but just about none of the other older members were here." ((Eh. Tara will get a post in the next day.)) EDIT: Ohand I edited my bios. :D

[[All of my characters besides Evan are like 85% not-human so uh. I'm just as guilty. and now that I have eliminated Zinc we can expect a new character maybe. yaay.]]
"Spirit? At this point... " Yama trailed off, it didn't matter explaining the intricacies of Laurence's defenses. "He's slippery. Maybe your more competent clan could make an attempt. If nothing else it will be very amusing." Sh'Yama ignored the fool comment. That was already painfully obvious. He was mad, too.
Beating around the bush again? "Well, sweetheart," Yama purred out, with all the niceness of a feral cat, "Perhaps you could point me in the direction of the sod I need to dismember?" She had leaned in quite close to glare at Cersis, and Spider made an impatient noise. Again, he was ignored. "Good question," Sh'Yama breathed, growing a tad more irritated at Cersis's guess. "He wasn't a foolish little magic user, he was a Dream Walker! Not a person—not completely. A boogeyman. Quite powerful."
She took a step back from Cersis, looking confused. "You do know, that as far as I know; besides your unnamed informant, you're the only one around here besides me and your frilly brother that could perform a banishment of that power, right? And you're aware of my... history... maybe you should be a bit more helpful in answering my questions."
There was a light cough, and Evan stepped away from Spider so he could look Sh'Yama in the face. "Yama, dear, I don't mean to but in... b-but, really, I don't think this... uh... if you'll excuse my bluntness, horrible Kidnapper, could banish Zinc. I mean... it was like... poof! The bogey barely realized what was happening before he was ripped from existence!" Evan wrung his hands, glancing at Spider before looking back at Yama. "I worry... th-that is to say... Laurence was looking for you... what if he... he—?" Evan couldn't quite get himself to finish, and merely gulped, looking nervously around.
Sh'Yama stared at him, expressionless. "Don't be silly." That was the stupidest suspicion ever. She'd rather believe that this bleeding man had somehow ran over there and back in the span of a few seconds. Spider made another noise. "Well anyway, I doubt he's gonna be any help! He doesn't care anyway!" Spider said, "Maybe if you came back to the van... well you know I don't know how to check those things and Evan... well." He really didn't need to explain why Evan wouldn't be any help. "Oh!" He said. "And Evan's pocket watch disappeared too!"
"What?" Sh'Yama blurted. Why would that matter? And why would someone take his watch? She waved her hand impatiently. "Fine fine, I'll go look." And she turned and started stomping through the underbrush. Spider looked a little startled at first but quickly followed, glancing over his shoulder.
Poor bleeding to death Kidnapper. Seemed like a decent fellow when he wasn't kidnapping young woman and attacking relatives. "Er." He said, watching Sh'Yama and Spider. "Shouldn't we... not leave him to bleed to death in the forest?" He asked. But then realized who he was asking.

"Uh, yeah. Kinda." Disera answered the Circus Master. "Rene here was the first person outside Selvai's family I met when I was summoned. She saved me from a pretty nasty confrontation with Cersis way back when. It would have probably turned out badly if I hadn't run into her then." She smiled at the brunette woman. "Yes. Selvai. I found him not long after I left you. His family marked and exiled him, though. We've been traveling around together since then. He found out about the Majikus a few weeks ago and decided to join up. So here we are." Disera plopped down on the blanket with Raphael, flaring her wings. "Uh. You know, the beach is nice, but I'm guessing everyone could've done without all the has.sle of this week. Especially this Cersis business." She looked up at the shadow that pas.sed over them, not entirely surprised to see Kanec as he landed and shifted into his tiger form. "Yeah, most of us went running off to the woods to find Maya. Selvai's jerk little brother appeared and kidnapped her trying to get him away from the circus so he could fight him. But the rest of us showed up too, and he got whipped." The blue skinned shifter leaned back on her elbows as far as she could without her wings getting in the way. "You know, Kanec, the circus is gonna be leaving tonight. And we never did get around to that competition of ours." Disera smirked at him playfully. "How about we go down to the water and see who's shift is better, while we have the time?" ------------- "Hi, Nylat," the pyro greeted. "I'm doing okay, I guess." Kioko squeaked in surprise when Dravius suddenly appeared over top of her, and ducked her head down, pulling her cloak around here. "I know, he keeps telling me to," she replied to Maya. "I just... wanna sit here with you for a minute." The white haired girl turned to Dravius pleadingly. "Please? Just one minute?" She absently petted the little dog on the head when he began to head butt her, pulling her hand back as he started growling at Selvai. The magician simply shook his head at the small animal. "It seems your little friend still doesn't like my company, Maya. Ah, well." Selvai smiled slightly at Maya before continuing. "I believe I will go rest, as Dravius suggested. Perhaps you should do the same, Kioko?" The pyro's only response was another glare, and the magician laughed quietly before walking away from the group and towards his and Disera's van. Stepping inside, he closed the door behind him, making sure the magical wards were still intact. He pulled a set of clean clothes from the small dresser next to his bed, and began to carefully remove his torn and dirty shirt, pausing as he felt a small bundle in one of the pockets. Removing it, the magician recognized the small bundle he had found next to Maya's van steps earlier that day. With a frown, he sat down on the bed and unfolded the cloth to look at the item inside. The small wooden charm was worn smooth, and the string attached to it was frayed and beginning to unravel in some places, but there was still a slight aura of magic surrounding the necklace. He sighed, rubbing his thumb over the wooden part, before re-wrapping the entire thing in the cloth and opening the top drawer of the dresser. Shoving a pile of shirts to the side, Selvai placed the bundle underneath them and closed the drawer with more force than was neccesary. Sitting back on the bed, he placed his head in his hands, feeling tired and drained. ------------ "As though it's the Mayoso clan's responsibility to deal with the miscreants of other families." Cersis' voice had lost most of his bite, most likely due to his injuries. "And I didn't bother with names. The most information I could give you is that he was white haired, like your friend behind you. And had eery, red colored irises. Aside from that, he seemed to be quite cross with the entire Majikus, from what I could gather." He closed his eyes, head swimming. The dark haired magician glanced back up at Yama when she continued speaking. "A Dream Walker? Then he most likely broke one rule or another, if he was banished." Cersis twisted his lips as the trio kept talking among themselves, but waited until the Spider Witch began to leave till he moved again. The dark haired magician braced himself with both hands, carefully standing so that most of his weight was off his injured leg. Another bout of lightheadness swept over him, and spots began to appear in front of his eyes, and he braced himself against the tree trunk until he felt he would be able to move without falling over. "I will not die here," Cersis told the strange, goateed man that had spoken. "As long as I can take myself back home, I can find someone to tend my injuries." He gritted his teeth and began to limp away, pausing for breath after a few steps. This would be more difficult than he had anticipated, it seemed.

"Ah... Good to know you found him," Karene replied with a slightly twisted smile. The Ring Master, still sat with his back to the tree, was frowning slightly as he looked up at the two women. Well, he hadn't really expected them to know one another, though he supposed it meant no introduction was necas.sary. "Sorry to hear about the banishment though. I don't really think Summoning is black magic... It's just another form. Saying that... I'm probably biased. I wasn't raised by magicians. Or at least, people who never really bothered with magic," Karene snorted quietly, crossing her arms and staring at the floor. She looked at Disera when the shifter mentioned the week. Ugh. She was getting a headache just thinking about. "Cersis... Seems to jump to a lot of conclusions, no?... He seemed pretty set on getting rid of you, at any rate," The woman sighed, then turned her gaze to Raphael. "You said the Circus is moving?... Tonight?" "Yep. No point waiting around," The blonde male replied, chewing on another strawberry just as Kanec arrived. At the male Shifters words, Karene rolled her eyes. "Aww c'mon. Hey. I decided to return a good while back. If it hadn't been for Mr-Spontaneous down there i would have been here 2 week ago," She gestured at Raphael, who could only shrug in response. Both he and the Reader watched as Disera challenged Kanec, Raphael snorting as he responded. "You may as well," He said to Kanec. "We've got a few hours to go... And we'll be travelling a while... Probably a few days. I'd like to get as far from this place as possible," ~~~ "Well Nylat... Killing isn't always the only option," Maya responded, leaning her chin lightly on Dravius's shoulder so that she could look at the hybrid. "And... Okay?" She wasn't entirely sure what Nylat wanted to talk about... But knowing her, it could be anything as unimportant as the weather. "Burn?" She mumbled, lifting her chin off of Dravius and looking at him, her brows furrowed. "Uh... I've only been out of your van 5 minutes," She continued, glancing towards the Co-Master's hand and using her own to seperate his fingers so she could look at them. She eventually just settled with pouting at him, before replacing her chin on his shoulder, listening to Kioko, Selvai and Nylat, her hand still gently grasping Dravius's. "I have no objections," She said in response to Kioko wanting to stay there another minute, smiling warmly at the pyro, before sighing slightly at Sid's reaction. She whistled once to the little animal in the hopes of bringing his attention elsewhere. "See you later, Selvai," Exhaling through her nose, Maya lifted her hand away from the Co-Masters, and resorted to wrapping her arms around his waist. It was almost slow, and somewhat reluctant movement, still very much unsure of how Dravius would take it. The girl snuggled herself a little closer to him carefully, as though treading thin ice, as she looked over his shoulder at Kioko. "Don't leave it too long," She murmered, smiling slightly. "You probably need your sleep,"

"I suppose," Dravius said to the small white haired girl, a smile twitching the corners of his mouth. "You've already made it through a forest and back, so I don't think sitting on a beach will hurt." He smiled sheepishly as Maya pulled his fingers away, saying, "It doesn't take long for one to catch a sheet of paper on fire, and by extension, one's fingers and hand." He didn't pull his hand away from Maya, and there was also a long burn in a bright line up the back of his hand that he hadn't noticed. "Goodbye, Selvai," Dravius nodded towards the magician, stretching his legs out in front of him. When the youth vaugely felt Maya's hand move away from his, he shifted his other hand in the sand, picking up a handful and letting it pour out of his cupped palm, then kept his hand where it was, rubbing the tip of his fingers together over the remaining grains of sand. then he shifted the top half of his body to hug Maya gently, gathering her closer to him and then looking at Kioko. "Group hug?" He asked, holding out one arm. He seemed completely serious as he asked the small pyro to hug both of them. ------------------------------------- Sid had turned around so fast at The Pretty One's whistle that he tripped over his paws and effectivly did a faceplant in the sand. With a muffled bark, he pulled himself up, fur caked in sand and sticking out in stiff spikes, he licked The One Who Smelled of Firewood's knee and trotted over to The Brown One. Licking her muzzle, Sid rolled on his belly and wiggled around, waving all four paws in the air. He yipped slowly, "The Metal Beast with Wheels didn't stop for me like it usually does." With this short answer, he watched The Pretty One and The One Who Stank wrapped their paws around each other, then The Stinking One held a paw out to The White-Pelted One. Yipping, Sid ran into The Pretty One's lap, and snorted at the increase in stick, but curled up on The Stinking One's knee anyway, tongue hanging out of his mouth comically.

((*huggles everybody* Merry Christmas, guys ^_^)) The white haired girl smiled broadly at the butterfly's answer. "Thank you, Maya," Kioko said softly. She scooted slightly closer to the blonde girl, a small blush forming on her face as she did so. "I'll make sure I sleep once the circus leaves," she continued. "We'll probably be on the road for a little bit, right?" She reached over to carefully pet the little dog , noticing the collar and tag for the first time. "You named him Sid?" the pyro asked. Kioko looked over Maya's shoulder at the white haired boy's hand. "You burned yourself?" she asked worriedly. "Is it bad? I've never been burned before, I don't know anything about them.." The small blush on her face deepened, spreading further across her face at Dravius' suggestion of a group hug. "U-um," the white girl stuttered for a moment before finally answering. "I-I guess? It would be okay?" She hesitantly scooted closer to the pair, face the color of her cloak as she hurriedly looped her arms around Maya's waist and hid her face in her shoulder.

[[Merry Christmas! And yess, it has been awhile since I've had a roleplay that has lasted this long.]] "Mayo-So. What a stupid family name." She might as well put a stop to any heirs— errors, oh she killed herself!— that man could create. Doesn't bother with names. Well, it wasn't Laurence. Her father despised looking like the family (black and black replaced white and red), and if the rumors were true he was only a Blodwen because his step-father adopted him. Laurence was one of few that had a Mother and a Father that weren't related. It was probably why he lacked the notorious... stupidity a majority of the family had. Ugh. Made Sh'Yama sick. But then the stupidity was replaced with utter madness. Apparently he'd gone through a lot of ridicule over not being an inbred nancy. Cross with the Majikus. For whatever for? Well, at least now she had a vague deion. It was probably a Blodwen, and male. It usually was a man. Espionage seemed to be a bit foreign to her male relatives... in that case it probably wasn't Xerah. That man was about as slippery as Laurence and just as disgusted with his own family as she was. And unless Zinc had beaten someone to death in her absence, what rules could he have broken?— foolish man, thinking he knew something about Rules. He should prop open his own rule book and give it a good reread. - - - Spider couldn't agree with Yama. But then he thought their own name was kind of silly. Blodwen. What did that mean anyway? He thought about rules and what being banished meant, and why Yama was muttering about mancakes. He looked over his shoulder at the lagging behind Evan and wondered if they were still going to go to his house with all of the clocks. He hoped nobody made more problems for him. Spider didn't know what he'd do if someone else Caused Trouble. Probably cry and tell his sister to make it go away. - - - "Ah. Okay," Evan said. "Good evening, then. I really expected them to kill you, you know." He was patting his pocket again as he watched Spider look over his shoulder at him. What a sad face. Instead of feeling a bit fearful over the appearance of Carlene... well, now he really just wanted to give the man a good smack! Seemed like he deserved it, with all of the trouble he caused.
But then, if it wasn't for him there wouldn't be a Boris to look after, would there? No, but then Clyde would still be around, wouldn't he? Evan thought Gervaise would agree with his desire to punch Carly in the face, but the voice was strangely silent. There was an odd amusement to the silence, though. It made Evan a bit uneasy. But then, when he anticipated hearing voices and didn't, it usually made him uneasy. "What if you... ah, can't make it back, then?" He was probably a violent fellow, but Evan wasn't worried. Not with him stumbling around like that and gasping for air like a goldfish that had been knocked out of it's globe. "Sh'Yama is a bad tempered woman— Bless her heart though, she was raised by a psychopath—, and I'm sure you wouldn't expect One Of Them to help you after what you did... but she isn't all that happy with them at the moment. I'm sure she could at least fix a tourniquet or something to keep you from bleeding out before getting where you're going." - - - "I can't wait to get out of here. I'm sure I can sniff out Zinc and— now where'd our funny little friend go?" Sh'Yama looked over her shoulder, making a face. "Nancy! Get over here! Stop talking with the Mayo!" She seemed to have forgotten her little promise to help him out if he wished it. Though a woman of her word, he hadn't been all that helpful. And it's not like they shook on it or anything.

"Right, well. If you lot are off to the beach, I'll go tend to my van. No doubt the dusts been gathering," Karene said, waving a hand in Disera and Kanec's direction as she broke away from the group, heading towards the vans. Her van, unlike many of the other members, was actually rather plain, shades of white and silver in a marble effect. The inside was mostly cream, a number of books and other papers all laid out over a desk at one end. There was also a tall bookcase, reaching easily to the van roof, again, full of books, all of which seemed to have some age to them. Karene inhaled quietly as she entered, placing her hands on her hips and glancing around. More to just get her bearings than any other reason. With a slight shrug, she walked over to the desk, shifting papers around with a hand. Eventually, she realised that there was absoloutely nothing to be done, and decided instead to start activating the protective measures around the place. Going by the Circus's last week, it needed it. Sighing, the woman shoved the papers over to one end of the desk, before leaving her van and rolling up her shirt sleeves as she did so. Well, better start now. ~~~ Sighing quietly, Maya looked at the sand in silence when Dravius returned her hug, a small sense of relief flooding her system. She looked down at her lap when she felt pressure, and blinked at the sight of Sid. She smiled at him, then glanced at Dravius when he asked Kioko if she wanted in on the hug. It took a bit of effort to prevent herself from laughing at him. The idiot. The butterfly did, however, shift herself slightly when the pyro took the Co-Master up on his offer. She had to smile at the younger girl's face as Kioko hugged her, sighing again and turning back to watch Sid. After a few moments, she pried her arms free, sat between Dravius and Kioko as she stroked the little brown puppy with her uninjured hand. "Your a funny little thing, huh?" She murmered. Blinking, Maya frowned slightly, then picked the animal up and held him out to Dravius. "Uh... You said he had fleas... Do you have anything for it, by any chance, in that storage room of a van of yours?... He seems to be fond of walking over people." She smiled, the puppy dangling from her hands as she looked expectantly at the Co-Master, looking about as cute as an excited child on christmas. ((Uufffff. Braindead. x_x))

Dravius looked slightly contemplative at Kioko's question, thinking for a moment before saying, "Well, I suppose it would hurt, but all I know about them is it makes your skin red and heat up quite a bit." He offered his burnt hand to Kioko, burnt fingers up. If she bothered to touch them, they would merely seem a normal temperature, but compared to the rest of the Co-Master's skin, it was positively on fire. (no pun intended) He grinned at the look on Kioko's face as she hugged Maya, and drew his arms back gently to settle them in his lap, constantly moving, peeling and picking bits of skin off his fingers distractedly, starting the oozing of blood on them again. "No, Kioko, I just had that collar in my van. We can change that tag, uh?" He never seemed to notice things like the fact that he was ruining his fingers, and laughed quietly at Maya's question. "I might have some in my pockets, let me check." Dravius began sifting through his pockets, putting small piles of things from the main pockets in the usual place that pockets were. Piles of screws and scraps of metal were heaped, followed by odd things like thumbtacks, bits of broken drumsticks, and violin strings. More pockets contained prgressively more odd things, including what seemed to be a piccolo pulled from a long pocket on his left leg. He stuck the side of his palm in his mouth as he searched, chewing on it, and a set of stitches that sat there, thick and black. He finally came up with a combination of a test tube and a lightbulb filled with a violent, almost neon green liquid. It was marked with black ink- "Fleas". Dravius held the bottle in between his first finger and thumb, seeming to notice the bright red dotted across his fingers and tsked, offering the bottle to Maya. "Dump it on the bit where his neck meets his back while he's sitting, and that'll kill the fleas and all the other buggies," He said, licking any traces of blood off of his fingers, grunting slightly. "Kioko, you should ask Rev to move your van. You're a little young to have someone make you a liscense," He remarked, rubbing his scarred eyebrow with another yawn. "I should sleep, but I don't want to. I swear, just sitting is something I can't do." Dravius coughed into his elbow, taking a hank of Maya's hair and braiding it quickly, creating a line of small braids, managing not to tug on the girls hair at all, his fingers moving quickly across her blonde hair. ((I'm not an idiot. D8 ))

((*shoves Cersis out of thread* Get lost for a while. And take Beard with you.)) "Eh." Disera lifted one shoulder in a shrug. "He's taking it in stride. Now, anyways. Wasn't exactly easy to deal with him when it first happened, though." She frowned, suddenly becoming quiet as she chewed on her bottom lip. Seemingly distracted, the shifter only looked up again when the brunette woman announced her departure. "Seeya later, Karene," Disera called after the woman. She looked back at the circus master with a small smile. "You're probably wondering about all that, huh?" The shifter crossed on leg over the other, wiggling her bare toes. "Right after Selvai summoned me, we got seperated for a few days. I didn't know anything about this world yet, so I just wandered around for awhile. I ran into Karene there the night of my first day, and decided to stay with her until I could find the person who summoned me. I hadn't learned Selvai's name yet, so I just called him my Summoner, you see." The shifter smiled again, a quick flash of sharp teeth from behind dark lips. "Unfortunately, Cersis had decided to take action and get rid of me for his brother. He tracked me down not long after I met Karene. She used her protective magic to keep me safe when he attacked." Disera picked at a loose thread on the blanket, looking thoughtful. "I owe her alot," she mused quietly. "Need to find a way to repay her..." ------------- Kioko leaned over Maya's shoulder, looking worriedly at the co-master's burnt fingers. She slowly reached out, gingerly touching the fingertips of one hand to Dravius' digits. Drawing them back quickly, the pyro folded her hands in her lap. "Your fingers will be alright though, won't they?" "You don't have to change it," she added hurriedly. "Sid is a nice name. I like it." She watched with fascination at the amount and variety of objects that the co-master produced from his various pockets, only looking up when he spoke to her again. "Ah, okay. If you don't think he'd mind..." The white haired girl blinked as Dravius as he began to fix Maya's hair. "You know how to braid?" she asked in surprise. ------------- "Mm." Cersis inclined his head at the strange little man, not bothering to respond. Closing his eyes, he concentrated on simply breathing in and out until he felt he could move without his injured leg buckling. He took a few more steps before the bespectacled little man spoke again. "I should be able to make it to my destination, if I stop to rest occasionally." A bit unusual that this stranger (whom he as.sumed to be somehow connected to the Majikus Circus) would concern himself over his welfare, but Cersis didn't feel up to pointing it out at the moment. "I would think the Wendigo had quite a bit of influence, as well," he muttered. He continued in a louder voice. "And I honestly didn't think she would uphold her end of the bargain. I was simply trying to avoid another confrontation." "The bleeding has mostly stopped. I doubt I'll need a tourniquet." The magician drew the now tattered and dirty cloak around himself, pulling the hood over his head. "I should be going now. I feel I've stayed too long, as it is." Muttering an incantation, he disappeared, only leaving behind the bloodstains on the gras.s to show he had ever been there.

((You are, Dravvy. But we love you anyway.)) "I like Sid, too." Maya murmered, turning the puppy around so that she could look at him, her eyes falling on the silver tag and it's engraved name. "It's... Cute." She added, lowering the little animal onto her lap and stroking him just behind the head. She looked at Dravius when he responded to her question, pausing her hand on the puppy's back.He was unbelievable. "Uh... Do you carry everything around with you?... I'm starting to think you have bottomless pockets," She said, glancing down at Sid before she returned her sights to the Co-Master. Watching as the white haired male empties his pockets, Maya threw n amused glance in Kioko's direction, before turning to watch the growing pile of... Well... Stuff. She actually used a hand to spread the items out on the sand, picking up the odd piece and looking at it, the piccolo being one of said items. After placing a small bit of funny shaped metal back on the sand, the butterfly glanced up at Dravius just as he held out the small bottle, and took it from him with a curious face. "I always thought this stuff was clear," She said, tilting the bottle slightly. She actually wondered whether or not the Co-Master made stuff like this himself. She'd never actually seen a desk or some other surface for chemical experiments. Saying that... She'd probably never seen everything in Dravius's van. He had a hell of a lot of stuff in there. Shrugging slightly to herself, she applied the vivid liquid, listening to Dravius and Kioko as they spoke."Maybe you should take awalk, Dravius," She suggested, looking off down the beach. "If you can't sleep, I mean. It's what you usually do, and it usually keeps you busy. Besides, we're not going to be here much longer," Placing the rest of the liquid on top of the Co-Masters other stuff, she started m*censored*aging Sid's ears gently between her fingers, just as Kioko's question caught her attention. "Hm?" She asked, looking at the pyro before turning her gaze to Dravius. She hadn't felt a single thing, and, seeing as her hair was more than long enough, watched him as he braided it. He seemed easily amused. Smiling slightly, the girl went back to stroking Sid, her ex pression amused as she eventually turned to look at Kioko with a light laugh. "He seems to have a lot of time on his hands, huh?" ~~~ After Karene's departure, Raphael had watched her leave with a slight frown, then yawned and stood, stretching his arms above his head. He'd wondered, silently, where Julian had got to, then as.sumed the Sword Master had probably taken to his van. Either that or he'd gone off somewhere on his own. The Illusionists eyes fell on a number of members who were lugging things to their vans, aobviously preparing for when they would depart, before he was distracted by Disera. "Actually," He replied, a slight smile on his face. "I was. It's not unusual you know her, I guess, but I certainly wasn't expecting it," He yawned, before sliding his hands into his pockets and leaning lightly against the tree. He turned his eyes back to the blue skinned shifter as she conituned. "Your Summoner, huh... Makes sense. And that sounds like something she would do," He said. "Must have been tough, seperated from Selvai when you barely knew the world. And I see... It was pretty obvious she wasn't too fond of this Cersis, even before she realised who I was talking about," He mused, thinking about the womans dark ex pression as he recounted the last weeks events to her. "Karene's ability would have been useful to you, I can imagine. Being able to successfully protect anything she wishes to."He added, stretching again and pulling himself away from the tree. "Repay her?" He tilted his head slightly, then shrugged, smiling as he glanced skyward. He couldn't wait to get out of there. It was overdue, that much was certain.

"Well then, his name's Sid, uh?" Dravius said, pausing to scratch Sid under the chin distactedly. "And no, I don't carry everything with me. Just stuff I might need." He began collecting the bits and peices he had removed from his pockets, producing a loud clinking noise as he put them all back in respective pockets, tapping sand out of the piccolo, and putting it back with a margin of care. Dravius hadn't emptied out even half of his pockets, and the amount of things that sat in them without making them seem full was rather remarkable. "And some stuff I think is interesting," He admitted, tapping a fountain pen against the palm of his hand. "And I don't know what colour it usually is. This stuff just workspretty well, and I made it this colour so it'd be easier to recognize." He shrugged, tucking the depleted store into a top pocket. "I don't want to take a walk. Boring," The Co-Master snorted, raising his eyebrows. "If I take a walk, I might miss my ride." Dravius muttered, returning to the line of braids, shifting himself to reach around to the other side of Maya's head, moving down to a new row. He seemed determined to braid every bit of the girl's hair and he stopped every so often to scratch Sid, shivering slightly in the warm sun. "S'cold," He remarked, leaning back on the sand, leaving the top half of Maya's hair braided. He had left off in the middle of a plait, and it was unraveling slowly on it's own. "I just like to be doing stuff. Stops me from chewing, or picking, or things like that. And yes, I know how to braid. Don't you? Sure, Rev won't mind, as long as you don't let him run away. He might be mad if he loses another one." Dravius said with a slight grin. The boy, his hands resting in his lap, had gone back to picking at the rough skin on his hands, then noticed and pulled them apart, seeming quite annoyed with himself. He pulled at a set of losse stiches, yanking them out with a growl. They had mostly healed over, leaving a raised scar, identical to the countless others on his hands and wrist. Shvering again, more violently, he muttered, "I've a fever, now." His face had a fevered flush, the pale skin on his cheeks a blotchy red, and darkening quickly. Dravius lay down on the sand, shivering frequently, although if someone were to touch him, they would find his skin even warmer than the average person's, and he shivered harder, closing his eyes.
"Never bring that horrid drink here again." "It tastes of blue, not the river-dwelling reptile, as I had thought."
