"Oh-h, thank you sir," Kioko replied to Raphael's praise of her ability.  It was surprising to find people who weren't afraid of her strange power, much less considered it worthy of a compliment.  "Become a performer?" she blinked at the Circus Masters statement.  She would like to help out these nice people however she could, but displaying her power if front of an entire crowd of "normal" people?  It went against every survival instinct she had developed over the years.  "Could I think about it, Mr. Raphael?"  Kioko asked.  

Before she could receive an answer, Raphael had asked Dravius to display his own abilities.  Kioko had begun to watch him with interest when he pulled out the sharp objects, wondering what he had planned to do with them, until the older boy began to shove the swords through his stomach.

"Oh, no, no, no," Kioko thought in horror as she turned her head to the side.  Who would do that kind of thing to themselves, even if they couldn't feel it?  And what kind of audience would consider this "entertainment"?

Looking at the other newcomers, Kioko was semi-relieved to see that she wasn't the only one affected by Dravius' act.  Chi had collapsed to the ground, and Spider now looked as though he would throw up any second.  "I never thought having an empty stomach would be a good thing,"  Kioko thought wryly, as she watched him battle the nausea brought on by Dravius' self-mutilation.  She awkwardly patted Spider on the shoulder, feeling sorry for the man.

She sighed in relief when Dravius pulled the various sharp objects out of himself and began to stitch up his wounds.  Kioko doubted she'd be watching anymore of Dravius' performances for a long time, if ever.  Raphael spoke to the new members about accommodations for them, and the white haired girl nodded absent-mindedly at him.  

((Hurr. Nylat is too persistent for that. You should know that by now, you know her as well as I do. <3))

Nylat sighed. She had been so close. The hybrid, in one swift movement, stood, turned, and ran to catch up to Maya. As she slowed beside her, she looked apologetically at her friend.
"I'm sorry. I shouldn't push. Just as much as you shouldn't walk alone. I myself know how dangerous the woods can be, as do alot of people. However, this conversation is well overdue, and not over yet."
She was silent for a moment before resuming.
"Just...delayed."
She remained silent, aside from a grow-like purr that rose in her throat. It was her way of sincere apology, and also keeping on good terms with people. After all, who could resist a purring dog that weighed at least two-hundred pounds?

Dravius's one brow furrowed as he turned in the gras.s, his lips pulled down into a slight grimace. He tossed and turned in the soft plants, with the air of someone who was very much having a terrible dream. These dreams recurred extremely frequently, which was part of the reason for his insmonia. He had dreams about his past, from just before Raphael found him.

His vision blurred, as he dimly felt the spiraled bullet drive deep into the left side of his chest, followed by two more. The shaggy, black haired boy smiled, a dreadful smile, accentuated by two long canines. He was smiling because all three bullets had just missed their mark, and none were fatal. From underneath the mane of mightmare-black hair glinted two sharp blue lights, locked on   the three policemen standing in front of him. Barely  hearing their cries to set down the jewlrey and put his hands up, the boy darted forewards, snarling like a wild animal. He wrapped his long, pale  fingers around the first man's throat,  squeezing until the man stopped twisting, then one of the   other men, he wasn't sure which, fired another bullet, meant to kill, next to the other three. All of these men were lousy  shots, as the fourth shot had missed again. The dark boy grabbed the man who he thought had   fired by his thin blonde hair, raking his sharp fingernails down the man's face, reveling  in his anguished screams.

The last man dropped his gun and ran, leaving his comradres behind, one dead, and the other  writhing in pain with four red tracks down his face. Plunging his hands into the broken case, the boy pulled  his hands out, dripping with golden chains and bright jewels. Another creepy smile spread across his face, splattered with red. his barefeet made barely a sound as he raced out of the  building, waves of laughter roiling behind him.

A few days later, the boy stood outside of a Circus, watching fat, stupid townspeople  flooding in, chattering excitedly about the show. Hissing viciously at a small child, the bay considered robbing  the Circus, decided against it, then turned with a smirk, his tangled    black hair hanging over his face. He nearly let out a yelp as he nearly collided with a     blonde man wearing a red coat, then thought better of it and snarled, expecting the man to get out of   the way. Looking mildey surprised when the man only returned his snarl with a stern look.

"Move." The boy said, glaring from underneath his hair. When the man shook his head, the boy laughed, saying, "What are you gonna do, hurt me? News for you, grandpa, I can't feel it." The man responded with, "Oh really?" The he seemed to concentrate, and the boy's blue eyes went wide, as  so did his mouth, in a silent scream. It was as if a deep weight rested on him, crushing him, and he felt a sensation he had never felt before. His silent scream escalated, gaining volume as the boy sank to the gras.s, his blue eyes rolling back into his head. As the weight lifted, his scream ended, and he crouched on the ground, breathing hard, his thin chest heaving.

"You should come with me." The man said simply, walking towards the colourful tents,  leaving the dark boy to brush the hair out of his eyes and try to stop shaking.

Dravius woke with a start, breathing hard. He looked around with his one good eye, his chest heaving. "Woah." He said to himself, rubbing his eyes. He pulled his shirt down, accidentally ripping a large hole in his burgundy and black shirt. He crossed his legs, still shaking his head. He got to his feet, deciding that the ten minutes or so  was enough sleep for a while. True, the bruise-like circles under his eyes had dissapeared, and his good eye seemed brighter and more alert.

 Stretching with a slight moan, he twosted back and forth, hearing his spine crack and sighed. He headed back into the tent, where the new members were still clustered around Raphael. " Mmmm. Better." His voice was softer, and the smile resting upon his lips was genuine as he looked down at the younger members, saying sheepishly, "Sorry for freaking you guys out. I don't want any of you to be sick." Dravius sighed.

((Tada...? Magical flashback happy fun time.))

((Let's give the others a chance to post before we continue. I also just realised I don't actually have a past for Raphael... Yeeeaahhh... Should look into that. xD

Also, Dravvy~ Is that the Majikus?... I thought Dravius was the second member? xD))

"Are you alright?" Chi's eyes snapped back into their normal insane/childlike state and she realized that the Ring Master was suddenly right in front of her. "I apologize. You'll be somewhat happy to know that Dravius' ability is probably the hardest to get used to," he said. Chi felt relieved when she heard those words. 

Silently, she got to her feet; she looked over and saw Spider who obviously felt the same way she did, more or less. Chi felt bad for him. 

OOC: Having lots of writer's block, sorry. ^^  

((It could be. xD Just change the "us" to "me"... It'll make sense if Raphael got the idea for the Majikus from the Circus in Dravvy's dream. :3 *Hugs Ferro* xD

Raphael stood once Chi had got herself together, then smiled at the girl as he crossed his arms. "I think you would do pretty well with Maya, Chi. Kioko's ability rules her out, and I think, perhaps, she may be more comfortable with Nylat, Oh" He turned to Kioko, his smile still in place. "You needn't rush into any decisions. If you don't wish to perform, we can always find something else for you to do,"

Truth be told on the accomodation front, the Ring Master had planned on placing the Shifter with Nylat, but considering how the fox hybrid felt about Kanec... Well... It probably wasn't such a good idea. He nodded at Kioko, then turned to Kanec. 

"Do you think you could go find Maya and Nylat for me, Kanec?... We should place these new faces before we leave tonight," He smiled, then lookd towards Ariskye and Fallow. They would most likely be placed together, though nothing was set in stone. Spider didn't seem to be too much of an issue, if he chose to stay outside.

At that moment, Dravius chose to grace them once again with his presence, and the Ring Master raised his eyebrows at the white haired male. My god... He called that sleeping?... Snorting and smiling slightly, Raphael glanced back at new members. "Do any of you girls have any preferences with where you stay?"He asked.

 Maya remained silent for a few minutes, trying to get her emotion under control before finally sitting herself under a tree, her eyes on Nylat and a small smile on her face. "I'm sorry, Nylat. Your not pushing it... It's just..." She paused, then shook her head. "I don't know... Not that easy I guess," She held out a hand, gently brushing the hybrids muzzle, a nervous laugh in her throat.

"... Overdue, huh?..." She pulled her hand away from the hybrid and started to fidget with the vivid green blades of the gras.s.

((I kept getting confused, because I'd see, like, five different spellings. DX

Pfff. I have no history for Kanec, a million ideas for Nylat, and a vaugue one for Fallow. XD And I leik magical flashback happy fun times. ;D <3))

Nylat sat down beside Maya, nodding. She laid down, stretching a bit.
"No need to apologize. And I understand. Though, I have a feeling, the opportunity may soon reveal itself."
She yawned again, flicking her tail in aggrivation.
"I really need to get more sleep. Its just so hard lately, being so stiff all the time."
She stretched again, still not able to loosen up.
"And I'm not going on another run for a while. Not until we get to our next town. I prefer to know where to return when I do so."

Kanec nodded and shifted into a red-tailed hawk, one of his most favored forms. It was this form that had given him wings as a human, when he was young. Over-shifting was a bad thing. He beat his wings strongly, getting a good height before banking and smoothly gliding out through the open tent flaps, only to rise again into the air, shifting into his human self smoothly, without breaking his wingbeats. He pulled his coat closer around him, despite the somewhat hot air below, it was rather chilly up there. He glanced around, his ears of no use, as he had them flat to prevent wind resistance.

((He'll be looking a while, so that Maya and Nylat can finish their talk in peace. AND! I found a duck feather that looks almost exactly like what Kanec's would. Its amazing. <3))

Ariskye shook her head while she closed her eyes slightly. "Not really. I just want some space and share with somebody that will not make me angry," she said hissing slightly as her eyes opened into small slits. Crossing his arms against his chest, she used her nails to lightly scratch the black scales that coiled around her pale white arms. She didn't like getting angry that was how she was kicked out of her parent's house, she got angry and nearly killed them. Not an experience she wanted to go through... again.

((O.O I forgot Fallow's!))

Fallow shrugged, not caring in the slightest.
"As long as I get alone time, I'm fine with anyone."
She watched as Kanec shifted easily and left the tent. Avoice in the back of her mind was ecstatic, and she proceeded to quiet Gale.
If this goes wrong, I'm going to hurt you.
I'm a spirit. You can't hurt me.
I'll find a way.

Spider has no deep and meaningful backstory. His sister does, but dang, we already have too many girls... and she's a god moder.]]

One of the girls gave him a pat, but he was too busy reeling to see who it was. Dravius was back? He hadn't even noticed he left. Pa.ssing a shaky hand over his eyes Spider stood up straight and heaved in a deep breath. Raphael had mentioned something about an accommodation, and he turned back around to face everyone. It was only then, that he realized that out of all of the newbies that he was the only boy. He felt somehow left out.

Oh well, nothing new there. His attention wavered and he went back to looking around, his eyes skipping over Dravius, because he didn't want to turn green and get sick. It might upset him.  Now, about that tarp... at this point Spider had the idea that he could just about do whatever he wanted and Raphael wouldn't bat an eye. Well. What was the point of leaving him out here if it was going to be just like home? Why didn't they send him off to some all freaks boarding school or something? At least someone would be making sure he stayed out of trouble.

There was a word for Raphael, he knew. Laidback. But Spider decided he liked the word "hippie" better. Though he didn't think Raphael would mind him just ripping a tarp out of a pile and throwing it over a tree branch, someone else probably would. Suddenly feeling very homesick, Spider popped open the lid to his suitcase and started to dig through the seemingly bottomless trunk.

Dravius was ignoring any of the proceedings, busily licking his fingers. His already dark lips were a florid red as his tounge worked to get every bit of gore off of his long digits. He looked up at a sharp click, his eye focusing on Spider who was elbow deep in his suitcase. "Hmm. Someone sent you off with a suitcase. Obviously someone cares about you enough to make sure you're set." Dravius said, absently licking a red line on his wrist. Looking slightly disapointed that his hands were no longer red, he took out a needle and thread and started sewing the holes in his shirt, muttering to himself, "Need new clothes. Pockets are wearing out..." It was true, as there were nails, needles, and all manner of thin, sharp ob
ject were protruding from the fraying black pockets. Growing frustrated with the ripping fabric, he growled at his shirt, pulling it off and putting the remians in the thin black case by his side.

Dravius crossed his arms over his thin chest, muttering to himself about new clothes and stupid thread. He began chewing his lip ring again, looking down at Chi and Fallow, who seemed to be arguing with herself. Chi was an odd one as well, seeming to switch between ages and personalities. "I'm going into town." He muttered, unfolding his frame from where he had been sitting. He strode out of the tent, a long sigh trailing behind him.

As he walked into town, he recieved more than a few wide eyed stares from the people who had seen last night's show, and the memory of flashing steel and flying red was fresh in their mind. Walking into a store with a looming gothic feel. The door jingled as Dravius felt the air-conditioned air blow across his bare skin. Heading stright to the back, he smiled at a shirt that said, "Hugs, not Drugs" and threw it over his arm with a slight laugh. Moving on, he lifted up a shirt with a dizzying pattern of red, black, and white checkers. He found two pairs of pants almost identical to the one's he was wearing, with slight white accents on each of the twelve pockets. Picking up a tounge stud, he considered it seriously, then shook his head and put it down. A pair of checkered higtops went into his pile as he wobbled up to the register.

"I'm not done," Dravius said to the pink-haired cashier. Wandering to the back, he picked up a leather bracelet, with a ring of metal situated in the middle, and tossed it in his hand, paying for the pile of stuff and staggering out, sliding the "Hugs" shirt on, tugging the tag off with his teeth. He put the shoes under his arm, the other shirt and pants over his shoulders. Slipping through the town, he returned to the Circus.

Dravius had only been gone for fifteen minutes, and looked through the huge hole in the window on the side of his van. Slipping in, he dumped the clothes in his closet and walked out, looking around, before climbing into a treee, leaning against the trunk, and looking through the branches, gaps of light striking through and onto his face. Sighing, he looked through the flaps of the tent, watching the group of newbies around Raphael.

((Lol. Sorry Grayvs. We'll probably slow down a little here, we need to wait on Nightmare and Mychelle anyways. xD

It took a second for Chi to realize that Raphael meant the butterfly-lady when he had said Maya. She's nice Chi thought, and started to smile again; Dravius' creepy act was now long forgotten. She looked about, trying to see if Maya was nearby... But she couldn't find her. Sighing, she waited.
